The score introduces several new themes interwoven throughout the film, including identities for the character Rose Tico, the interactions between Rey and Luke Skywalker on Ahch-To Island, and the Resistance's desperate escape from the First Order.The score also reprises numerous themes and motifs introduced in The Force Awakens, including those for the characters of Rey, Kylo Ren, Poe Dameron, and Snoke, as well as the "March of the Resistance" and "The Jedi Steps". Themes introduced in the original trilogy return as well, including "Luke's Theme", "Leia's Theme", "The Rebel Fanfare", and the "Force Theme" from A New Hope, "Yoda's Theme", "The Imperial March", and "Han Solo and the Princess" from The Empire Strikes Back, and, "Luke and Leia" and "The Emperor's Theme" from Return of the Jedi. Excerpts of the "TIE Fighter Attack" cue, first heard in A New Hope and reprised for Return of the Jedi, are also included.(9) "The Emperor's Theme" is the only returning theme to not be included within the official soundtrack presentation, it occurs in the film when Snoke tortures Rey for information.The score briefly quotes "Aquarela do Brasil" by Ary Barroso in its "Canto Bight" track as a reference to the 1985 Terry Gilliam film Brazil. It also contains a brief quote of Williams's own theme for The Long Goodbye (co-composed by Johnny Mercer) during Finn and Rose's escape, although this was not included in the official soundtrack release.(10)

We can think of fewer things more Spanish than the works of Alfonso Carlos Santisteban.

He was an anarchic genius, he was scorned on, or worst, ignored. Talent and necessity as well as geniality and the most prosaic worldliness collided in his persona.

If we can blame Santisteban for anything it would be for the way he lived and breathed music. A tireless Spanish music workaholic, he made no differences between copla, rumba, pop or soul and didn't mind if it was for Bambino, La Polaca, Mara Lasso, Calibre 38, Ellas or Mila. A sincere devotee of jazz and immediately seduced by bossa and by cinematographic music, his full works, full of inevitable flaunts as well as moments of geniality, can be critiqued for negligence and an unfinished sense of accomplishment but at the same time his panoramic view and daring musical vision, sometimes just as reckless as accurate, was evident and has made his work endurable several decades later.

Spanish Moog, an album Adarce Records has the pleasure to present, is one of those strange and almost invisible musical milestones that our man portrayed in Italy.

Just as he wrote in his autobiography, in 1973 and thanks to the help of José Antonio de La Loma, he met two of the capos of the most important film music publishing empire in Italy, Giuseppe Campi and Giuseppe Giachi. They were about to open a C.A.M. (Creazione Artistiche Musicale) delegation in Madrid so they could start building their business in the most exciting times for Spanish film industry. The company started by signing two Spanish composers: our man, and Waldo de Los Ríos.

Deception and frustration would come soon. Apart from a large number of small (or more like embarrassing) film scores, Santisteban published five library albums - catalogues of fragments and music pieces offered on a menu and sold afterwards to both co-producers as well as film producers - up until 1975 for C.A.M.: Ambiente e Folklore, Rinascimenti, Night Club, Situazione per Orchestra and this one, Spanish Moog.

Five of the songs included (Jugando al toro, Nuestro Ayer, Gitanos, Torremolinos Soul and Todo ha sido un sueño) were originally recorded by Santisteban and Rafael Ferro for the album Flamenco Pop (Sintonía, 1969), and three more (Zorongo, Nuestro ayer and Tierra mojada) were originally meant for Sabor a fresa' (Belter, 1971) by La Nueva Banda de Santisteban.

Beyond the supposed editorial filibusterism what is left is a wonderful festival of grooves and beats, an omnipresent Moog, Wah Wah and 'cañi' soul blend in Torremolinos soul'.
Dreamy melancholy, fuzz and southern tocuh in Tierra mojada', impeccable arabesque beats in the steadfast Zorongo', funk and folklore sown tight in Noche en Marbella' and pure space Blaxploitation in Tute de Reyes'...

As like other pioneers and talented adventurers in our country, Alfonso Carlos Santisteban would collide inevitably with a time already lost in the annals of history. We cannot think of a better way to resume his works and his person than the sentence he used to open his autobiography:

...I speak with the authority given to me by failure...'

The Crown is a drama television series, created and written by Peter Morgan and produced by Left Bank Pictures and Sony Pictures Television for Netflix Original. The show is a biographical story about the early reign of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom.

The first season was released in its entirety in November 2016. Reception to the series was overwhelmingly positive, with critics praising cast performances, direction, writing, cinematography, production values, and relatively accurate historical accounts of Queen Elizabeth's reign. The second season was released in December 2017 on Netflix and, again, received universal acclaim.

The music in the series was written by Rupert Gregson-Williams, a Hollywood composer who created the scores for Hotel Rwanda, The Legend Of Tarzan, Hacksaw Ridge, Over the Hedge and most recently Wonder Woman.

The Crown received two awards at the Golden Globes 2017 and was nominated for two Golden Globes in 2018.

A true literary, cultural and philosophical phenomenon in France, Les Shadoks caused a sensation while airing between 1968 and 1974. Its unique combination of Alfred Jarry-style surrealism, off-centered British humor, and US comic strip inspiration, all brought to life by illustrated bird-like creatures (reminiscent of Paul Klee's La machine à gazouiller), left a lasting mark, making the term Shadok an often-used satirical expression to describe policies and attitudes considered to be absurd.

FUGA DAL BRONX (also known as ESCAPE FROM THE BRONX) is one of Director Enzo G. Castellari's crowning achievements. It's part of his low budget MAD MAX-inspired trilogy that started with 1990: THE BRONX WARRIORS and I NUOVI BARBARI. FUGA, though, is the jewel in that particular crown, and is so over the top it makes MAD MAX 2 seem like a Disney film.

Dispensing with story all together, Casterllari is able to go wild with crazy over-the-top stunts, explosions and gratuitous violence. Francesco De Masi's score is nothing short of masterful proving why he is one of the greatest (unsung) composers that worked in Italian genre pictures during the exploitation heyday of the '70s and '80s.

His score veers from tense, smokey, jazz-inspired moodiness to full on rousing funk action, masterfully composed and beautifully orchestrated. It's another essential Italian score that deserves to be in your collection.

The Metal Slug LP is the culmination of more than a year's collaborative work between Data Discs and SNK Corporation to develop an exclusive soundtrack release for the Japanese publisher's most iconic franchise and one of the most beloved shooters of all time.

The vinyl release features the complete music from the first entry in the series (Metal Slug: Super Vehicle-001), composed by Takushi Hiyamuta in 1996. Working together with the SNK Sound Team, the audio was sourced from a NEOGEO development kit in Japan and then carefully mastered at Data Discs' in-house studio in London. Pressed on 180g opaque yellow vinyl, Metal Slug is packaged in a gatefold sleeve with accompanying double-sided lithographic insert, featuring rare artwork from the Japanese archives and a special translucent OBI strip with fluorescent Pantone print. A download code for the digital album in both lossy and lossless formats is also included.

A high-speed car chase between a Dodge Charger and a Ford Mustang, with super-cop Bullitt at the wheel, who forces the hitman off the road and into a petrol station, which explodes and incinerates him. Prior to that, harsh clashes of metal, hubcaps flying all over the place, and the chief character Steve McQueen, who grimly changes gears and hurtles through the streets of San Francisco, wheels screaming and rubber burning. That was how Hollywood staged one of the longest and most dramatic car chases, long before the days of the Anti-Blocking-System and Anti-Slide-Control.

Very up-to-date and just as exciting as the screenplay is the music Lalo Schifrin wrote for the film, which embeds the characters, places and events in a musical context. For example, "Bullitt": the metrically angular main theme portrays a mysterious, cool character who sums up a situation with keen alertness and then makes his attack with the speed of lightning.

Initially the music travels through easy-going Latin terrain. But gradually the rhythmic texture changes and takes a rougher path, with clicks, knocks and hammering. Legendary flute lines create a compensatory placidness with airy clouds floating above the sharp mix. A really special track is "Shifting Gears": here you can listen to Schifrin tuning the car, how he manipulates a jammed springy bossa to take on the sound of clean, smooth-running rock.

This Speakers Corner LP was remastered using pure analogue components only, from the master tapes through to the cutting head. All royalties and mechanical rights have been paid.

'Herederos De La Bestia' is documentary film about Álex de la Iglesia's classic 1995 apocalypse-horror story 'El Dia De La Bestia' (The Day Of The Beast). More than two decades after its premiere, the movie continues to be THE great go-to example if you want to mix the most brutal fantastic with the Spanish tradition of the grotesque. Comprised of equal parts high-concept horror and scathing social satire (in the mode of the director's peer and former collaborator Pedro Almodovar), this ambitious horror film has garnered a sizable cult following. It's just impossible to imagine present-day Spanish cinema without it.

'Herederos De La Bestia' interviews the crew responsible for Álex de la Iglesia's masterpiece and assesses its still relevant influence. Part of the official 2016 Sitges festival selection, this superb documentary is currently still being screened at festivals around the world.

It's no surprise that the makers turned to the Spanish outfit 'Buio Mondo' to underscore their hard work. Buio Mondo is a project that pays tribute to the giallo and the slasher genres and is best known for their previous (and very successful) album 'Italia Violenta'. Mixing wild metal riffs, powerful electronics and dark brooding 'Carpenter-esque' synth atmospheres results in a nightmarish soundscape that will haunt you in your dreams.

The death of Curtis Mayfield in 1999 robbed the world of popular music of one of its finest performers, writers and producers. By the time he made his solo debut in 1970 he had already achieved much more than many artists do

in a lifetime career. He had already enjoyed a string of hits as lead singer of The Impressions, for whom he was the principal songwriter, had produced successful recordings for other artists and was owner of his own record label

and several publishing companies. The solo albums he recorded between 1970 up until the time of his tragic accident in 1990 and which were released on his own label, Curtom Records, remain as testament to his genius. Curtis' songs on these albums deal in the

main with two themes, those of love and political consciousness. His influence on American black music and culture has been immense and his thought provoking lyrics and musical style are unique in their field. The soundtrack to the 'blaxploitation' movie Superfly stayed in the U.S. album

charts for almost a year, topping it for four weeks in 1972 and earning Curtis a gold disc. Two singles taken from the album, the title song and the million selling Freddie's Dead', both went Top 10. These two songs, along with the

stark and sinister Pusherman', worked brilliantly in the context of the film, delivering a potent anti-drugs message. This special 2LP reissue presents the original soundtrack album together with a bonus LP of demos, alternate versions, a track which did not appear on the

original album, two anti-drugs radio spots recorded by Mayfield and Curtom labelmates The Natural Four's lesser-heard version of Eddie You Should Know Better'.

The score is composed by James Newton Howard. His career spans over thirty years. Often at times primitive, BÊNNÍ's music can go from Vangelis, to John Carpenter, to 80s dungeon electro band into vintage arcade game circuitry with the blink of an eye. With his first LP release, BÊNNÍ will be embarking on a Euro/Scandinavian tour in August.

Alessandroni at his best: very refined Italian cinematic sound, tense 12 strings guitar themes, synth sequences, beautiful sound of chamber classical music mixed with psych choir. You can feel Alessandroni's magical touch for melodies and arrangements on nearly each song and at the same time, some François de Roubaix reminiscence on themes like "Dramatic" and "Sad Farewell".

No doubt each track of this underrated masterpiece could have been a classic soundtrack theme.

Carlo Rustichelli (Carpi, December 24, 1916 - Rome, November 13, 2004) was the author of hundreds of film soundtracks and will go down in history for his famous friendship with director Pietro Germi and for the Brancaleone March,' a true iconic hymn like the James Bond' theme' by Monty Norman or the Raiders March' by John Williams from Raiders of the Lost Ark'. This unforgettable choir motif is introduced by Branca Branca Branca Leon Leon Leon' and a whistle and is the heart of the background music, which the author reprises with orchestral versions that are sometimes comical and sometimes dramatic- all under the direction of Bruno Nicolai. Two of the other supporting scores are Pirulè' the psalm theme of the pilgrims, and Cuccuruccù' sung by a female voice accompanied by the mandola. For our CD (total running time 70:43 minutes) we were able to access the mono master tapes from the original recording session. We've included the audio editing on the first fifteen tracks which we personally prepared with Maestro Rustichelli for the CD's first release in 1995, followed by film versions, alternate takes and the singles released in 1966 on the single Parade PRC 5002. The CD ends with the rare take of the march introduced by the voice of Vittorio Gassman. Winner of three Silver Ribbons, the film was presented in competition at the 19th Cannes Film Festival.

For the sequel to For Love and Gold,' Carlo Rustichelli (December 24, 1916, Carpi - 13 November 2004, Rome) resumes his famous March of Brancaleone' and Pirulè' (the pilgrim theme), this time entrusting Gianfranco Plenizio to conduct the orchestra. Maestro Rustichelli created a new score which is romantic and veiled with sadness for Felicilla, the witch (Stefania Sandrelli) who enters Brancaleone's heart. This time Brancaleone gets caught up in the Crusades and the score alternates dramatic with haunting passages that would fit perfectly in a horror film. For our CD (total running time 72:33 minutes), we were able to access the stereo master tapes of the original recording session. We've included the audio editing on the first twenty tracks which we personally prepared with Maestro Rustichelli for the CD's first release in 1995, followed by film versions, alternate takes and the singles released in 1970 on the single RCA Records PM 3573 (S). This is a well-deserved musical recovery for the trio Monicelli, Rustichelli, Gassman, who created a masterpiece for Italian Cinema. Vittorio Gassman won Best Actor' at the San Sebastian Festival in 1971 for this film.

Four Flies Records is proud to present the first vinyl reissue of the original soundtrack to IO EMMANUELLE (also known as A MAN FOR EMMANUELLE) - Cesare Canavari's 1969 erotic-drama starring Italian scream-queen Erika Blanc. The score was composed and arranged by maestro Gianni Ferrio, who created one of his most famous and iconic soundtracks ever, with music that perfectly follows the neurotic character of the young protagonist - from moments of intimacy and introspection, to those of insanity and madness. The result is a terrific cocktail of late 60's Italian grooves: orchestral beat, RnB, jazz, and avant garde numbers, with an essential contribution of I Cantori Modernidi Alessandro Alessandroni' (vocal and choir), and featuring Gino Marinacci on flute.

One of the rarest records from CAM archives is finally back in the spotlight, remastered from or iginal master tapes and pressed on 180gr vinyl, including an inner sleeve featuring original movie artwork by renowned Italian cinematic painter Sandro Symeoni.

The journey into the spaghetti westerns world continues, publishing on LP and CD the complete OST by Guido and Maurizio De Angelis for the movie ... continuavano a chiamarlo Trinità' (aka Trinity is still my name' aka Vier Fäuste für ein Halleluja' aka On continue à l'appeler Trinita') directed by E.B. Clucher (Enzo Barboni) in 1971 and starring Bud Spencer, Terence Hill, Franco Ressel, Yanti Somer, Enzo Tarascio, Alfio Caltabiano, Pupo De Luca, Emilio Delle Piane, Enzo Fiermonte, Jessica Dublin, Dana Ghia. Trinity (Terence Hill) and Child (Bud Spencer), brothers and outlaw vagabonds with a tender heart, are mistaken for federal agents by Parker (Emilio Delle Piane), a violent arms dealer. Taking advantage of the misunderstanding, the two let him willingly buy' them with the dollars of the shady character, and then try an even bigger shot. They decide to get as much profit as possible from this misunderstanding, and they break in the convent that Parker, after threatening the friars, transformed into warehouse and exchange point of weapons. Continuing to impersonate federal agents they convince the religious men to hand over their fifty thousand U.S. dollars that Mexican rebels have just shelled out in exchange for a shipment of weapons, but Parker suddenly comes in with dozens of his men. Waged against the band of the squire a furious but bloodless struggle - which also involves the brothers Trinity and Child who manage to get the better but ...

For this CD we found and used the stereo master tapes of the original session that allowed us to publish every recorded note of this beautiful OST (52:26). This soundtrack was the first by Guido and Maurizio De Angelis for a film with Terence Hill and Bud Spencer, with the editing created for the CD presents nearly faithfully the film sequence (Tr. 1-18), in the second part (Tr. 19-25) the not synchronised versions were included in the movie versions. The De Angelis brothers composed a main theme Trinity stand tall' (Tr. 2), which anticipates the style that will always be used in the next film with the Dynamic Duo, revisited with variations in Tr. 3, 5, 6, 10, 12, 18 and 20, with guitars and wind instruments with fresh Western taste, forming a melodic theme to emphasise the infatuation of Trinity for the beautiful daughter of the poor immigrant (Remember) that we find in Tr. 13, 16, 19 (version published in 45RPM RCA 74-16157) and Tr. 25 in the most complete version ever published. Another recurring theme in the western musicality but with a touch of beat, is present in the Tr. 7, 8, 9 and 23 that highlight the funniest moments of the film. In describing instead the convent and therefore the sacredness of the place, the De Angelis composed a theme for organ and choir in Tr. 15, 17 and 24 and various tracks to remind the listener of a 'purely western setting represented by harmonicas, guitars on the tracks 1 (intro of the film), 4, 11, 14 and 21 and the inevitable saloon piano Tr. 22. About the LP version We wished to offer the track list already released in the 1972 album (RCA Cinematre OLS 9) adding two bonus tracks Seq. 2 and the instrumental version of Trinity stand tall.
