Istanbul's drone-pop producer Ekin Fil turns her sites to the big screen for the first soundtrack in her impressive catalogue of recordings. Inflame (2017) is a psychological thriller laced with paranoia and nightmares, directed by Ceylan Özgün Özçelik and was showcased at the Berlin International Film Festival and the SXSW Film Festival, amongst others.

In making her cinematic debut, Ekil Fil turns synths and electronics, in building the score that in part is brimming with tension and claustrophobia through out all the blank spaces. Always known for her restrained compositions that float amidst ethereal pools of drone and whorl, Ekin Fil sets forth haunting minor-key melodies, monotone arppegiations and plenty of seance-fiction dread. Scattered bits of the film's sound design flicker at the edges of these tracks, as an aural hallucination that dissolves as quickly as it becomes evident. Dubbed electro rhythms creep through the recursive leitmotifs and variations on themes always cast in a dim, crepuscular light.

Less informed by the retro-garde aesthetics of Carpenter and Argento, the spectral electronics of Inflame's soundtack finds its neighbors in the skeletal sprawl of Raime and the darker ambient propositions sponsored by Posh Isolation.

Farväl Falkenberg is an album by Erik Enocksson and a soundtrack to the movie of the same name. It is 10 years old this year and in celebration of that Posh Isolation is rereleasing it in a remastered version with new artwork, giving it its first widespread LP release to date. When Farväl Falkenberg was originally released, the record label responsible, Kning Disk, wrote in their press release — having not only created a lush record full of thick, backcountry piano and raw, acoustic guitar waltzes, Enocksson has more importantly produced an album that effortlessly translates the feeling of isolation (both geographically and emotionally) in an intensely personal way you don't often come across.' With such a statement it seems only natural that now 10 years later it should find a new home via Posh Isolation. It is hard to overstate the importance Erik Enocksson's work in relation to the discography of Posh Isolation. Years before we met, his release Apan' completely changed how I thought of music. Something similar happened when i later heard Farväl Falkenberg for the first time. I was in a car going from Prague to Berlin sitting on the backseat, the person next to me had tears down her cheeks in the middle of the first song, by the end of the record the whole car was silent and remained so for the rest of the drive. It is rare to witness music with such effect and it is not often that a record could have that effect still, ten years after its initial release. I think Farväl Falkenberg can. The work of Erik Enocksson has been an inspiration since the first time i heard it and i imagine it always will be. Lulu with JOHNNY HARRIS would go onto winning Eurovision in 1969 with Boom Bang A Bang' and Johnny was signed to a three album deal with the newly formed U.K arm of Warner Bros.
The first album in this deal was Movements in 1970. The second release for Warner Bros in the U.K

Movements was recorded live at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

John Carpenter is a legend. As the director and composer behind dozens of classic movies, Carpenter has established a reputation as one of the greatest filmmakers in the history of modern cinema, as well as one of its most influential musicians. The minimal, synthesizer-driven themes to films like Halloween, Escape From New York, and Assault on Precinct 13 are as indelible as their images, and their timelessness was evident as Carpenter performed them live in a string of internationally sold-out concert dates in 2016. Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1998 collects 13 classic themes from Carpenter's illustrious career together on one volume for the first time. Each theme has been newly recorded with the same collaborators that Carpenter worked with on his hit Lost Themes studio albums: his son, Cody Carpenter, and godson, Daniel Davies.

Anthology is a near-comprehensive survey of John Carpenter's greatest themes, from his very first movie, the no-budget sci-fi film Dark Star, to 1998's supernatural Western, Vampires. Those sit alongside the driving, Led Zeppelin-influenced Assault on Precinct 13 theme, Halloween's iconic 5/4 piano riff, and the eerie synth work of The Fog. Carpenter and his band also cover Ennio Morricone's bleak, minimalist theme for The Thing.

We also get vital new recordings of the themes to '80s classics and fan favorites Big Trouble in Little China, Escape From New York, Christine, and They Live, along with the romantic Starman, which earned Jeff Bridges his first Oscar nomination as a lead actor. City of Joy is a 1992 French-British drama film directed by Roland Joffé, with a screenplay by Mark Medoff. It is based upon the novel by Dominique Lapierre, which looks at poverty in then-modern India, specifically life in the slums.

City of Joy stars Patrick Swayze, Om Puri and Shabana Azmi.

Ennio Morricone (10 November 1928) composed and arranged the score of the movie. He has made scores and soundtracks for more than 500 film and television productions, making him one of the most influential and best-selling film composers since the late 1950s.

This release is available in the Ennio Morricone Classic Soundtrack series and is strictly limited to 1.000 numbered copies on transparent vinyl.

The Harry Potter film series is one of the most successful cinematic franchises of all time and it continues to inspire a passionate and growing following around the world. One key that helped bring author J.K. Rowling's books to life on the big screen was the evocative music created for the films by great composers like John Williams, Patrick Doyle and Nicholas Hooper.

This brand new box will transport you to J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World with a limited edition set that features the soundtracks to the series' first five films pressed on vinyl picture discs (10 LPs).

Each soundtrack is contained in a gatefold sleeve that is die-cut on both sides. The images used for the picture discs are stills taken from the related films. The one exception is Harry Potter and the Order Of The Phoenix, which also features an etching on the last side of the LP.

The soundtracks to the first three films were all composed by John Williams, who is responsible for some of the most popular film scores in history. One song that debuted on the Philosopher's Stone soundtrack - Hedwig's Theme' - became the main musical theme for the series and appears in all of the Harry Potter films.

Patrick Doyle composed the music for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The film's soundtrack also features three songs by a fictional rock band featured in the story whose members include Jarvis Cocker and Steve Mackey of Pulp, and Jonny Greenwood and Phil Selway of Radiohead.

Composer Nicholas Hooper created the music for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix) It was performed by the London Chamber Orchestra and recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London.

Death Waltz Recording Company Presents "Werewolf Woman" Original score on vinyl for the first time by Lallo Gori

WEREWOLF WOMAN (original title LA LUPA MANNA) is a 1976 Italian exploitation sleazefest with the emphasis on sex and violence. A beautiful young woman channels an ancient family lycanthropy curse into her hatred of men stemmed from horrific abuse at a young age. She finds, seduces, and rips out the throats of all suitors she stumbles across. It's the kind of film that could (only) be made by Italian's in the '70s with serious story undertones giving way to ever more blatant sex, nudity and blood. The score by Coriolano Lallo' Gori is absolutely wild and we can't believe it isn't more well-known than it is. Propulsive percussion, theremins, mono synths, funk and jazz collide to create an incredibly captivating listen. Wild synths bubbling over skittering jazz drums is thrilling enough, but Gori intersperses some beautiful mellow themes throughout to temper the madness.

PORNO HOLOCAUST is an outrageous 1981 Italian sexploitation horror schlock from Joe D'Amato. A group of scientists land on a deserted island to discover a rather well endowed radioactive sex-crazed monster that takes a liking to the female scientists in the group. Loaded with X-rated sex scenes and generous amounts of blood and gore, it's sleazy enough to avoid showing your parents or loved ones. The score by Nico Fidenco is another one of his incredible blends of funk, moody synth and fuzzed-out disco. Easily up there with ZOMBIE HOLOCAUST and his EMANUELLE films. Essential stuff from an unsung maestro. First time ever on vinyl.

Former Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Cliff Martinez's long-standing collaboration with director Steven Soderbergh ranks right up there with some of the other great composer-director teams in film history, like Bernard Herrmann-Alfred Hitchcock and Ennio Morricone-Sergio Leone, and his 2011 score for the disaster blockbuster Contagion is among his best work. Oddly, it owes some of its uniqueness to the fact that Soderbergh radically recut the film three different times, causing Martinez to adjust the score on the fly, first starting with a more conventional score indebted to thrillers like Marathon Man and The French Connection, then moving in a more dream-like, Tangerine Dream direction, before settling on a sound that incorporated orchestral and electronic timbres into highly propulsive and rhythmic framework. The kind of hyper-intense inter-environmental buzzing that drives men to kill for no reason they can feverishly describe at a later period when the buzzing finally ceases, and their sanity returns with the cold, wet realization of the deeds they committed with their own god-given hands.
 
PERHAPS came into existence at the hands of Jim Haney at the Berklee College of Music in 2012. 'V' is their fifth release, the previous 4 being self released gaining infamy amongst listeners, and notably collaborating with Makoto Kawabata (Acid Mothers Temple), Cotton Casino (Acid Mothers Temple), Tabata Mitsuru (Acid Mothers Temple), Kenneth Topham (Giraffes Giraffes), Man Man (Bryan Murphy), Grass Is Green / Speedy Ortiz (Devin McKnight), Ben Talmi (Art Decade / Ben Talmi solo), Damo Suzuki (Can) etc.

Directed by Franco Prosperi (MONDO CANE). Released in 1984 the story sees a batch of PCP leaked into a zoo's water supply infecting the animals who band together and rise up to destroy their captors. It's one of the greatest nature run amok films ever made and is in turn thrilling, revolting, scary and hilarious. Patucchi is one of the most underrated Italian composers for some reason but we here at Death Waltz want to change that with several release lined up in 2017/18. His work here undercuts the wild action and is actually quite sombre in tone, armed with a battery of synthesisers and processed animal effects he manages to craft a score that is a world away from the usual Italian soundtracks that graced films in this period. Long droning bass tones underpin some sumptuous sax and some back breaking synth drums literally destroy everything in their path. We won't lie, this score requires patience, but spend time with it and you begin to love it for the chances it takes.

Bugsy is a 1991 American crime-drama film directed by Barry Levinson which tells the story of mobster Bugsy Siegel and his relationship with Virginia Hill. It stars Warren Beatty as Siegel and Annette Bening as Hill, as well as Harvey Keitel, Ben Kingsley, Elliott Gould, and Joe Mantegna.

The film received acclaim from critics and was nominated for ten Academy Awards, winning two for Best Art Direction-Set Decoration and Best Costume Design. As of 2017, the film is the most recent to receive more than one nomination in the Best Supporting Actor category. Bugsy was also nominated for eight Golden Globe Awards and won for Best Motion Picture - Drama.

Ennio Morricone (10 November 1928) composed and arranged the score of the movie. He has made scores and soundtracks for more than 500 film and television productions, making him one of the most influential and best-selling film composers since the late 1950s.

Richard III is a 55-minute film adaptation of Shakespeare's play, starring Frederick Warde as the title character. The 1912 film, a French/U.S. international co-production, was produced by Film d'Art and released through the independent states rights film distribution system.

It is the oldest surviving American feature-length film, and is also thought to be the first feature- length Shakespearean adaptation ever made. As early as 1922, the film was thought lost. It was not until 1996 that a print was discovered, when William Buffum, former projectionist at the Bluebird Theatre in Portland, Oregon, donated his copy to the American Film Institute. The AFI restored the print, transferring it from its nitrate film stock and retouching the hand tinting effect used in the original 1912 release.

On June 26, 2001, Kino International released the film on DVD, with a newly composed score by Ennio Morricone, which was recorded at Music Village, Rome, Italy on July 17-19, 1997.

The Full Monty is a 1997 British comedy-drama film directed by Peter Cattaneo, starring Robert Carlyle, Mark Addy, William Snape, Steve Huison, Tom Wilkinson, Paul Barber and Hugo Speer.

The film tells the story of six unemployed men, four of them former steel workers, who decide to form a male striptease act (à la Chippendale dancers) in order to gather enough money to get somewhere else and for main character, Gaz, to be able to see his son. Gaz declares that their show will be better than the Chippendales dancers because they will go the full monty'—strip all the way—hence the film's title.

Despite being a comedy, the film also touches on serious subjects such as unemployment, fathers' rights, depression, impotence, homosexuality, body image, working class culture and suicide.

The Full Monty was a major critical success upon release and an unexpected international commercial success, grossing over $250 million from a budget of only $3.5 million. It was the highest-grossing film in the UK until it was outsold by Titanic. It was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Original Music Score, winning the last.The film was later adapted into a musical in 2000 and a play in 2013.

For the first time in 20 years, the soundtrack of The Full Monty is now available on vinyl. The package includes a 4 page booklet with pics and credits and a copy of the original movie poster.

This EP contains unreleased music composed and produced by Alessandro Alessandroni in the 70s, taken from a dusty tape found in his vault. Afro Discoteca strikes immediately for its modernity and rich textures, sounding unbelievably contemporary.

Alessandro Alessandroni is one of those pioneers, a maestro that built the legend of Italian soundtracks and library music along with Ennio Morricone, Piero Umiliani and many others. His vault testifies how prolific had been those times, with hundreds of tapes and obscure recordings from that period. Among the many, a dusty tape bearing the hand-written label Afro Discoteca' captured the attention of Four Flies.

The music contained in the tape had never been released until now. When he listened to the tracks, Italian legendary DJ LEO MAS (one of the undisputed inventors of the Balearic sound) told us: It is surprising to listen to something that sounds

so modern... This EP is the perfect union of Afro influences and Italian taste. There's something Afro lounge here but also incredibly cinematic - it makes me think of John Carpenter's atmospheres. B1 (Afro Discoteca) reminds me of clubs I've been in Malindi in the late 70s and the closing track is absolutely spellbinding. This is wonderful.' Directed by Patrice Romme, THE DEVIL'S NIGHTMARE was an Italian-Belgian production and featured main performers Jean Servais alongside a sensual Erika Blanc, also worthy of note is the disturbing presence of the graceful and filiform silhouette of Daniel Emilfork in the role of Satan. Death Waltz Recording Company is proud to present the pulsating Italian synth score to director Alfonso Brescia's 1980 sci-fi adult action film, THE BEAST IN SPACE (La Bestia nello Spazio).

Borrowing heavily from Walerian Borowczyk's THE BEAST (La Bête), most notably its sexy b-movie seductress Sirpa Lane, along with elements of STAR TREK, CALIGULA, and even STAR WARS (light saber battle, anyone), this treasure trove of trash cinema is truly a sight to behold. Throw in a plethora of hardcore stock footage inserts, including a loving pair of amorous horses (be sure to experience the XXX-rated version), this heavily scotch-taped piece of sleazy celluloid also features one of the genres finest electronic soundtracks. Veteran Italian composer Marcello Giombini, credited in the film as Pluto Kennedy (best sci-fi pseudonym ever), delivers a brilliant synth and effects-heavy score that was not only fitting of the outlandish images on the screen, but also clearly influenced by Wendy Carlos' A CLOCKWORK ORANGE synth work. Who better than Giombini to deliver the appropriate soundtrack to an intergalactic struggle which somehow ends up with a giant well-endowed space faun chasing Sirpa Lane around an extraterrestrial landscape. This score will surely enhance your auditory senses during your next space sexcapade...but be forewarned, dear friends - you never know who (or rather, what) might pop up.

A Bay Of Blood is a film directed by Mario Bava, known for explicitly inspiring the Friday the 13th saga, as well as for being the forerunner of the slasher genre, and is undoubtedly one of the most inspirational masters of horror cinema. His magical use of camera zoom, off-field and out of focus, and cynical and crude death set pieces, make it a masterpiece in which every scene exudes very personal and expressive poetry.

Stelvio Cipriani's score, which develops a rich sequence of different themes and genres, and all accented by the evocative melodies and excellent orchestrations of the Maestro, is brilliantly supported by the excellent rhythm performance of Enzo Restuccia on drums and Mandrake Som on the tumba and bongos.

It is the voodoo-style percussion and violin that introduces the splendid original theme played by the Maestro himself who plays piano, celeste, spinetta, harpsichord, and organ in the arc of the soundtrack. All in all, 21 tracks that make up the score: Evelyn Theme, the bossa nova Due Amanti, the dramatic and psychedelic Un Cadavere Nel Lago the Italian-style samba of Giovani e Liberi, Shake Giradischi, whose title is well representative, the tension the pursuit of Inseguimento E Uccisione, the abstraction of Ritrovamento Dei Cadaveri, and so many others.
