Ultra-rare and super-expensive in it's original 1980 release, this incredibly sexy tune from Chicago band Starvue fully deserves its status as a true soul anthem. Produced by The Chi-lites' Clarence Johnson, 'Body Fusion' never lets up the dancefloor pressure from beginning to end - the wonderful fusion of achingly beautiful strings, loping bass, flutes, the coolest fingersnaps and of course the mesmerising vocals of Tony Hicks combine to create an intensely emotional and rolling momentum that builds and builds. A masterpiece of soul history that still sounds as fresh as ever - essential!

Both Krystine and Duce met when they started out as dancers. With each passing year, Duce has
evolved from dancer, musician, DJ, remixer and producer promoting and playing in the US and abroad.
Krystine, who is also a "jack-of-all-trades" in the music industry, still dances with her troop the Harletz,
produces her own original material, works with several bands, does session work for various artists and
does her own singing and writing.

Yellorange must be considered one of the most prolific house music labels in history. Founded in 1998 by the legendary Tony Humphries, the label closed its doors after a short run only in 2003 when Strictly Rhythm (who handled its distribution) collapsed. In those few years, the label put out nothing but quality music, with many -if not all - of these releases being considered a classic nowadays - just think of "Rescue Me" by Sunkids, "Freedom" by Midnight Express featuring Sabrina Johnston, "In my Arms" by DJ Pope & Una, "It's Alright" by 8B or "Ups & downs" by Kimiesha Holmes to name only a few.

With two highly popular and praised EP's under its belt, The House of Disco label looks to continue its healthy diet of invigorating collaborations into 2012 with its third release, On The Latch.

The bar was seemingly raised by the celebrated Shoes Off EP, delivering four stunning tracks that featured on all of the noteworthy playlists from last year, and with expectations understandably high, On The Latch has yet again brought together some of the finest artistic talent around.

First up is 'Waves' by Norwegian dynamo The Treatment. After the success of his On & On EP, as well as an overflowing vat of remixes, in 2011, The Treatment is back to form with this flawless rework of Surface's 'Falling in Love', a surprising yet harmonious blend of Nu Disco, classic house chords and electro - a cerebral record that also highlights his instinctive side. We all love a piano riff too, of course.

Satin Jackets preserve their reputation for delivering infectious dance floor tracks with 'How Long Can I Wait For Your Love', producing echoes of Robin S' 'Show me Love', which it undeniably has shown and much more. With heavy influence from the likes of Madonna, Roxy Music and Trevor Horn, the trio looks certain to be fiddling with a number of immortal tunes throughout the year.

Roberto Rodriguez has been synonymous with the house revival, and his music is always anticipated with an air of intrigue and excitement. 'Mustat Vargot' takes you on a welcomed Old School house journey, starting off with heavy synths and bass, leading nicely into ambient beats and sounds. The track passes all of the familiar sites and sounds, yet still offers the senses something new, transporting you to the musical equivalent of utopia.

And to complete the pack, Debonair continues his steady ascent to the Nu Disco summit with 'Why' evidently living up to his nonchalant moniker with this stunning groove number. The rolling, soulful vocals add the substance, ensuring that Debonair maintains his laidback style. Certainly more than just a charmer...

The Future Disco series has become the essential collection for anyone with a house and disco musical obsession. The fifth volume: Downtown Express takes us on yet another journey into all the current must own dancefloor cuts. The limited samplers have become highly sought after collectors' items in their own right by taking key tracks from the albums and exclusively making them available on 12' vinyl.

We open up with Moon Boot's Off My Mind on the A side which has been tearing up dancefloors all over the world for the past month with it's infectious 80's groove and chopped up longing vocal.

As we flip over onto the B Side Metromony need no introduction having been nominated for a Mercury music award for their album 'The English Riviera'. Album track Corinne has been remixed by super producer Mario Basanov who has kept the song's structure intact but given the record a dancefloor vibe that will feel a natural choice for 4am.

Finally Something Happened is a huge looping disco cut reminiscent of the late nineties, Pitto's instrumental remix makes it unrelenting and very effective on the dancefloor with its big build ups and even bigger drops.

Produced by NYC disco legend Peter Brown, this track is a surefire floor filler and features all the wonderful hallmarks of a classic P&P production - funky rhythm section, phat driving bass, screaming moogy synths and that feel-good disco party atmosphere that just makes you wanna 'Stump Your Feet & Dance'. On the flip is the equally awesome afro-disco stormer 'Licky', another ultra-rare Peter Brown creation. With its rocking female vocals, hot sax solos and some wildly groovy synth action, this is a wonderful slice of afro-american fusion that rocks any discerning dancefloor. Softwar are 2 body builders from Sydney - Myles Du Chateau & Jeremy Lloyd - and they HAVE FINALLY finished their EP on Future Classic called 'This Time Around'. As much as we tease Softwar at HOW SLOW THEY ARE they have some pretty serious chops - their debut EP was signed to DJ Kaos' label Jolly Jams, their remix of Two Door Cinema Club was hand picked by Kitsune, their residence at Slow Blow at Goodgod, Sydney has got millions of hot "fashion" girls into deep house AND they've remixed Mario & Vidis and Mitzi - meaning this will be their third appearance on Future Classic vinyl.

Kai Alce's Ndatl label continues releasing quality releases. This nis his own remixes of a track by Larry Heard and Robert Owens... a mythical combination! first up the US remixes kicking of with organically banging percussion accompanied by Richard Corey's synth melodies. The Dub version chops the warm chords with some added snares to give it a pure hypnotic beatdown. The UK remix renders the song to its essential elemtens stripping the percussion and letting the soulfully strong vocals by Owens take center stage. Here Simbad joins Mr Alce in the studio dropping a driving bass heavy analog groove to get some buts shakin!!
