The story:
Fearing the actions of Superman are left unchecked, Batman takes on Superman, while the world wrestles with what kind of a hero the world really needs.

The soundtrack is a collaborative effort by flm composers Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL (aka Tom Holkenborg). This 3-disc deluxe vinyl set features over 90 minutes of music, fve bonus tracks, an exclusive fold-out poster and liner notes from the composers. Additionally, the vinyl set features etched vinyl art and an album download card.

Meet Stone. The trailer says it all. A deep Australian drawl narrates the scene over a psychedelic swamp-funk rhythm section doused in electronic percussion and treated keyboards.
Stone Is A Trip... The grave diggers are on the move - a new breed of motorbike gang' The screen fills with images of slo-mo bike accidents, hallucinogenic trips and a death defying cliff stunt which could easily mistaken for a doppelgänger scene in Psychomania. Vietnam veterans with their own style of life, their own rules, their own religion.' The scene swathes to a satanic ritualistic burial at the hands of a denim-clad crew of outlaw bikers with strangely familiar faces.

To many global record collectors, DJs, music producers and general retrophiles living outside of Australia Stone' was primarily known for its electronic sound effects, psychedelic guitars, cosmic sound scapes and funky basslines... In the 80s and 90s, before the global DVD boom, Stone to many people was first and foremost a Soundtrack... The kind of soundtrack that makes you wish you could see the film but it'll probably never happen. The LP artwork alone was beyond enigmatic with its contradicting embroider logo (designed by sandy) alongside its striking futuristic airbrushed chrome insignia (designed by comic artist Peter Ledger and realised by airbrush whizz Errol Black). The huge parade of brand new Kawasaki bikes inside the gatefold looked like something from the future compared to the classic full-dresser Harleys from the American Hells Angels movies. And when the needle drops into the groove and the freakish blend of didgeridoo and Moog (played by Johnny 'Didge' Matthews and synth expert Andy Cohan) blended with unidentified clicks belches and pops fly out the speakers it is literally impossible to put a date, never mind a story line, to this acid fuelled soundscape. The use of confusing and contradicting musical influences alongside bizarre noises is actually the secret sauce in this concoction and when the swampy psychedelic funk-rock rhythm section kicks-in you are left with a 45 minute programme of skewed. Forward-thinking avant-pop that would stylistically fill a very lonely section in the record shop racks. There are not many records quite like Stone.

'Bogey in Sight' (1973) is the original soundtrack of an Italian war movie that never saw the light of day. Just recently this unknown Dutch-Italian production was discovered in a private archive in Rome. Next to a reel of the only known version of 'Bogey In Sight' entitled 'Il Nemico In Vista' were the master tapes of the original soundtrack, produced by the late Abraham Barber and Thomas Jackson as 'The Messengers' (not to be confused with the Minnesota Rock group). Psychedelic Rock, Funk and movie score reinforce each other. The Bogey In Sight soundtrack originally contained 12 tracks. Unfortunately three tracks seem to be forever lost. Luckily 9 of them are now restored, mastered for the first time and released by Redrum Recordz in collaboration with Rundfunk.

Alan Parker's adaptation of Roddy Doyle's crackerjack novelThe Commitments(1991) kept its focus on the music - the classic American R&B and Soul the titular workingman band cranked out in pubs across Ireland.

As a book and film,The Commitmentswas all about love of music, so it didn't matter if the soundtrack offered workmanlike versions of oldies the band and audience knew by heart: as long as it was done with some soul, the film would work, and the soundtrack would too.

In that sense,The Commitmentswere a cousin to theBlues Brothers, John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd's tribute to the very same music but where Jake and Elwood managed to hire Stax's house band (such are the perks of stardom) , the group Parker assembled were working Irish musicians.

Often considered the 'black sheep' of Le Orme's discography, 'Smogmagica' is actually a great LP, that needs to be contextualized to be fully appreciated: we are in 1976, the masterpieces that have made the history of Italian progressive rock had already been written, and the same Le Orme had been important protagonists of this little musical revolution.

In 'Smogmagica', thanks to the presence of an additional blues-rock guitarist, Tolo Martin, and the 'American context' in which the recordings were made, rock often leave space to more modern and mainstream sounds; Purists hated this change as soon as the album was released, but if you listen with an open mind you'll soon reconsider this album as an important part of a career in constant evolution. 'Smogmagica' stands out also for the wonderful cover painting by Paul Whitehead (Genesis, Van Der Graaf Generator...), full of tiny details that just beg to be discovered, in the perfect prog tradition!

After 7 years of collaborations and numerous side projects, Markey Funk (Les Hippies, Mordy Laye and the Group Modular) is finally releasing his second solo album - "Instinct". However, the new record is far from following the same samplecentric path, laid by its predecessor - the 2008's "(forgot the word)". "Instinct" explores the dark corners of human consciousness in order to understand the nature of one of the most primal emotions - fear. Inspired by aesthetic of the 1970's European crime/thriller film music, Markey created his own blend of cinematic grooves, edgy psychedelia and analogue electronics. With contributions from Gal Frenkel (vocals), Uri "Mixmonster" Wertheim (Kalbata & Mixmonster, tape-delay), Sagi Zax (Action! Attention!, drums), Emiko Kojima (flute), and Ran Nahimas (D.R.Y., theremin), "Instinct" is a colourful yet tense journey, balancing on a sharp edge between harmony and dissonance, groove and abstraction, order and chaos.

Highly recommended for fans of Ennio Morricone, Bruno Nicolai, Goblin, David Axelrod, Mr Chop, Broadcast, The Kramford Look and The Heliocentrics.

This is an incredibly limited release of Vangelis' original score for Henry Chapier's obscure 1973 movie 'Amore' on pink vinyl.

'Amore' was Vangelis' second collaboration with movie director Henry Chapier, after recording a score for the highly obscure film 'Sex Power', a year earlier. While an LP was released for the 'Sex Power' score, in very limited quantities, nothing was released of the music for 'Amore'. Nor was the film viewable until it's eventual release on DVD a few years back.

The recordings do apparently come from the archived masters of the album and would seem to suggest that the rights have been taken care of.

The record does provide more than half an hour of unreleased Vangelis music so that as they say, is a bonus!

As with all things limited - best to order now - once it's gone, it's gone.

Paradise In Me is the second album by the Belgian band K's Choice. Six singles were released from the album: 'A Sound that Only You Can Hear', 'Mr. Freeze', 'Not an Addict', 'Wait', 'Dad' and 'Iron Flower'. 'Not an Addict' reached #5 on the U.S. Modern Rock Tracks chart.

K's Choice's second album is a competent set of Post- Grunge Rock that relies as much on the group's churning, vaguely hard sound as it does on their songwriting.

Waxwork Records is thrilled to announce the deluxe Original Motion Picture Soundtrack release to BLACK CHRISTMAS. Directed by the late Bob Clark and released in 1974, BLACK CHRISTMAS follows a group of sorority sisters who are receiving threatening phone calls, while being stalked and murdered during the holiday season by a deranged murderer hiding in the attic of their sorority house. BLACK CHRISTMAS is a classic horror film that has stood the test of time, and pre-dates what is commonly known today as the "slasher movie".

The haunting, dissonant score composed by legendary composer Carl Zittrer (PORKY'S, A CHRISTMAS STORY) has never been released in any format, ever. In fact, the score to BLACK CHRISTMAS was widely believed to never receive an actual official release. The masters to the score were thought to be lost or destroyed for 40 years. Waxwork Records has worked for a year with composer Carl Zittrer researching and tracking down the original masters. After locating them, Zittrer spent many months constructing a cohesive, definitive BLACK CHRISTMAS soundtrack experience. The entire album was then expertly mastered for vinyl by Thomas Dimuzio at Gench Mastering.

'This is the story of a man, marked by an image from his
childhood.' Thus begins, with deceptive simplicity, Chris
Marker's La Jetée (1962). The film, by far Marker's bestknown
work, synthesizes many of the elusive filmmaker's
central preoccupations - time and memory, power and resistance,
the ephemerality and resilience of love - yet it also
undermines the very idea of film. Composed almost entirely
of still photographs, La Jetée quite literally pieces together
the tale of an unnamed, forsaken protagonist, drafted into a
series of time travel experiments in post-apocalyptic Paris.
While Marker creates some of the most hauntingly beautiful
imagery in cinema, what animates La Jetée's frozen
pictures is its sparse and unsettling soundscape. Whispers,
breaths and heartbeats offer an unnerving reminder of
bodily rhythms that, inside the film and out, will inevitably
cease. Fragments of symphonic music at once capture a
love affair and underscore the tragedy awaiting it. The poetic
momentum of the narrator's voice, our only guide: 'On
the tenth day, images begin to ooze, like confessions.'
Superior Viaduct is honored to present the first-time release
of the soundtrack from La Jetée. This vinyl album
features both French and English voiceover narrations,
along with organic textures and Trevor Duncan's impressionistic
score. More than half a century has passed since
La Jetée's theatrical release - now is the time to travel back

Since its introduction in 1992, over 400 million of R.L. Stine's Goosebumps books have been printed in 32 languages, earning critical acclaim and dominating global best seller lists. Now, the literary phenomenon gets its big screen debut. Its story revolves around a teenager who teams up with the daughter of a young R.L. Stine (played by Jack Black), after the writer's imaginary demons are set free on the town of Greendale, Maryland.

The score to Goosebumps is in the hands of industry icon Danny Elfman. Over the last 30 years, Elfman has established himself as one of the most versatile and accomplished film composers in the industry. He is known for creating The Simpsons main title theme, and scoring many movies, including the majority of his long-time friend Tim Burton's films.

He has also collaborated with such directors as Gus Van Sant, Sam Raimi, Ang Lee, Guillermo del Toro, Brian De Palma, and Peter Jackson. His impressive resume mentions film scores for a.o. Milk, Good Will Hunting, Big Fish and Men in Black (all Oscar nominated), Edward Scissorhands, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Mission: Impossible, Planet of the Apes, Spider-Man (1 & 2) and many more. Elfman won a Grammy Award for Tim Burton's Batman, and an Emmy Award for his Desperate Housewives theme.

On Knights Of Fantasy (1979), Eumir Deodato once again concocted his own ineffable brew of Fusion and funky Disco. Four-to-the-floor beats, funky percussion and heavy synths make for an album that seemingly has an endless groove going.

The B-side opens with 3-part piece called 'Bachmania', which includes an adaptation of Bach's 'Jesu, Jay Of Man's Desiring' - in a very funky way of course.

Fun fact: the list of used synths include a slew of analog classic machines like a Fender Rhodes Suitcase 88 Piano, Mini-Moog, ARP Pro-Soloist, ARP Omni, Sequential Circuits Prophet-5, Maxi-Korg, Hohner Clavinet and a Polymoog. Essential Jazz Funk from the Disco era.

This generous 17-track compilation of Willy DeVille's live performances covers his early years with Mink DeVille in 1977 extending to solo work in 2006. All songs were recorded in Europe, perhaps an indication of how well he was accepted there as opposed to his home country. That's especially interesting given how much his music drew almost entirely from American influences such as
'60s Brill Building pop, New Orleans/Cajun, R&B, and an inner city Latin style best exemplified in a sizzling version of 'Demasiado Corazon.'

Many of his heavy hitters are present in fired-up versions, sometimes even better than the studio originals. Get hip on his great renditions of 'Venus Of Avenue D', 'Love And Emotion', 'Demasiado Corazon', 'Spanish Stroll' and a splendid version of the all time classic 'Hey Joe'.

Teenage movie maverick meets synth scientist for bespoke Belgian B-movie. One of the rarest vinyl horror soundtracks of all time.
1983's The Antwerp Killer is the rest of the remarkable homemade electronic experiments of the wunderkind synth designer and his unison with a smart-talking teenage movie maverick to create something almost unfathomable in the process. Combining self-propelled punk attitude and uninhibited confidence, the hyper pro-active work of these DIY prodigies pinpoints an important era where youthful ambition and creative technology meet.

Mannequin Records is elated to present a selection of the killer 'Zombie Holocaust' soundtrack by Nico Fidenco, remixed by Mannequin Records boss Alessandro Adriani on the B side.
'Zombie Holocaust' movie is another slice of Italian zombie craziness for the late 70's/early 1980s. The film, released in 1979, was directed by Marino Girolami, and starred Italian zombie favorite Ian McCulloch.

In contrast to the sleazy and gory action on the screen, the soundtrack of the maestro Nico Fidenco is a thing of beauty and great depth, with captivating musicianship on display. The soundtrack is a rich blend of electronic/synthesizer tracks, experimental electronics, soaring acoustic and orchestral numbers with tinges of Spaghetti Western soundtracks, frenetic drumming coupled with woodwind instruments, and chants and manipulated wordless vocals. This eclectic blend is skillfully woven together to create a soundtrack that is unique, richly textured, and one that can stand side by side with the best works of other great Italian soundtrack composers.

The selection of the tracks was following a particular path, where dark synthesizers, drones and slow burning electronic beats have a voice in. Alessandro Adriani used to play often tracks out of the soundtrack in his dj sets, as it manages to sound totally modern, so it was totally natural for him to rework 'The Magic Is In Progress', now transformed in a whole B-side 10 minutes dancefloor acid/ebm ride. Back To The Future (Deutscher Originaltitel: Zurück in die Zukunft) ist
eine Science-Fiction-Filmkomödie des Regisseurs Robert Zemeckis, die am 3. Oktober 1985 in die
deutschen Kinos kam. Das Drehbuch schrieben Robert Zemeckis und Bob Gale. Der Film stellt den
ersten Teil der Zurück-in-die-Zukunft-Trilogie dar. Der zweite Teil Zurück in die Zukunft II erschien
1989, der dritte Teil Zurück in die Zukunft III wurde 1990 veröffentlicht. Die Filmmusik wurde von Alan
Silvestri komponiert. Das Orchester bestand aus 98 Personen, 1985 stellte dies das größte Orchester
dar, welches Universal Pictures je für einen Film zusammengestellt hat.(3) Das im Jahre 1985
erschienene Soundtrack-Album enthält 10 Titel. Darunter Lieder der Künstler Eric Clapton, Etta
James, Lindsey Buckingham sowie zwei Lieder, Power of Love und Back in Time, des

Platz 1 der Billboard Hot 100. Nun gibt es diesen Soundtrack als PICTURE Vinyl, wenngleich nicht
termingerecht, so ist er doch ein MUST HAVE für jeden Film und Vinyl Fan.

"The Bull" is the most representative track from the upcoming record "In the Eye of the Cat", which undoubtedly is one of Puddu's best and cohesive works to date. As a B-side we have "Sequenza Erotica" (Erotic Sequence), an unreleased track that can only be found on this 7'', spreading that sexy cinematic feeling typical of Puddu's production (see for example his "Golden Age of Danish Pornography" series).

The soundtrack of the 2003 film Cold Mountain was produced by T Bone Burnett, and features original compositions from Jack White, Sting, and Elvis Costello. Jack White, who performs five songs on the soundtrack, also had a role in the movie.The album won the BAFTA Award for Best Film Music and the World Soundtrack Award for Best Original Soundtrack of the Year, and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Score and the Grammy Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack Album. Never before released on vinyl, the revered soundtrack is now being pressed on premium 180gram vinyl for a double LP release.

This is YMO's first live recorded album and their second number 1 album in Japan. Several concerts were recorded for Public Pressure, all in 1979 (The Venue in London, Greek Theater in LA, Bottom Line in NYC, Sun Plaza in Nakano).

This album contains first class recordings, clear and sparkling; YMO is arguably at its best with an audience. Akiko Yano is a welcomed addition to YMO, as she completes the band with sublime vocals.

This live album has a much more relaxed approach to the music, as it feels like they're jamming on stage and clearly enjoying themselves!
