SANDER BAAN is resident of the infamous CDV in Berlin. He joins What.if for his first release in a while with "Dub Tools EP". Two useful, groovy and nice tools to shake the dancefloors and afterparties all around. To finish up a perfect release, Altitude and Topper remixes on the B side.

Russian born Anastasia Vtorova is based in Berlin and makes music under the name Machine Woman. Prior to joining the Technicolour ranks, she has released two 12's - via the self-titled imprint of Swedish producer Peder Mannerfelt (2015) and UK label Where To Now (2016) - plus a handful of very limited cassettes via Sacred Tapes (2015), Tesla Tapes and Ono (2014).

Somewhere from the depths of space, the Closed Paradise Records' imprint has been born. At the helm of operations and providing the label's inaugural release is none other than Closed Paradise himself. Side A gets things going with You' which features Closed Paradise's trademark sounds of warm, driving melodies that are complimented nicely with arrangement of rhodes, pads, and soft vocal stabs throughout. On the flip, we delve deeper into space with Lotus' Beat-down tempo grooves. The track boasts a walloping bassline coupled together with hypnotic vocal stabs, and soothing piano keys all blended together to create a groove that takes hold and refuses to let you go. Closed Paradise Records 01 can only be found on vinyl and is strictly limited (no repress, no digital).

Nu Era delivers another dose of Deep-Soulful Techno produced by Marc Mac. This Detroit style 4 track EP is backed with genre-fused science, analogue machines woven together by chords, melodies and beats we've come to expect from Nu Era, at times the string laden 4hero sound is synonymous throughout the four tracks and although synthetic still full of emotion. The Vinyl release is a lovely transparent red and an animated label design is a nice bonus, limited to 300 copies.

Fouk are finally back on Heist after their great 'Kill Frenzy' EP in 2014 and have taken Mount Liberation Unlimited along for a remix.

We've been waiting patiently for new material, challenging the guys to take the signature 'Fouk' sound to the next level. Fouk's brilliance has been obvious on recent work for their own label Outplay and Razor 'n Tape, as well as their respective solo projects. We've kept a close connection, teaming up whenever possible for Heist showcases, with highlights in Amsterdam's "Claire" and Paris' "Concrete". Seeing their work and enthusiasm made it abundantly clear that it would only be a matter of time before they'd show us what the next step would look -or better yet- sound like.

Anticipation ran high but boy, do Fouk deliver. The excellent 'With lasers' EP still very much portrays their own style of loose, live percussion and many layers of funk, but they've expanded their vision and even toughened up a bit.
Their new taste for grit and an interest in the heavier side of funk is probably most evident on the opener 'F3000', where a thunderous arpeggio is supported by distorted drums and lush cosmic synth stabs. Title track 'With lasers' is more of a classic Fouk track, combining a lovely walking disco bassline and their signature drum programming with... erm... lasers. Lots of them.

The B side 'See you on the other side' sets a different pace, carefully blending guitar licks, rhodesy chords and vocal chops into a lovely groove that feels just as carefree and improvised as it feels exciting. Swedish synth nerds "Mount Liberation Unlimited" ran with it and transformed it into a dreamy -Pepe Bradock goes balearic- track where airy echoed guitars take turns with some equally dreamy and evocative pads. A real nice closing to an EP smothered in funk.

Ruff Stuff returns to their own label and are proud to announce a new 4 track EP.

Untitled04 is the result of different experiments on the sound and introduces a novelty for the label: the first official remix by the lovely Italian duo Black Loops.

'Never Ending' opens the A side with its raw groove, a hypnotic pad warming everything up and a vocal that will drive the listeners to unexplored territories. 'M.A.M.T.' showcases the most familiar sound of Ruff Stuff: warm techno stabs on a straight groove filled with a single vocal and a synthetic arpeggio in the second part.

On the B side the sound changes its shape with 'Flying': a mixture of rough grooves, disco samples, female vocals and a touch of acid. The remix by Black Loops brings the track back to very house territories chopping the original samples more and filling them with a solid beat and shining hats.

Just put the needle on, push play and dance! Vinyl only, limited copies.

New Amsterdam based label Native Response debuts with a delicate yet forceful 3-track EP by Nathan Surreal and KAAP on remix duty. Stockholm packs a peak-time punch, while Emo Effect is one for the more hypnotising moments on the dance floor. The analog bomb remix by KAAP smashes 808 kicks and snares all over the place. Native Response 001 is limited available on 12" vinyl.

Submitted to the IntergalacticFM Demo Contest in 2010, Space Cat, was a hit for all that tuned in and a personal favourite of I-F who jammed it plenty on his Bottomless Pit show.

A vinyl release looked promising but never came to fruition for unknown reasons.
Several rumours swirled and cryptic messages posted to the internet before Yellow Beach Balls all but disappeared.

Almost 7 years to the date of the demo contest and we still don't know the story behind YBB, but we do get the release of the Space Cat EP including 3 lo-fi synth-pop tracks to join the aforementioned title-track.

Edizioni Mondo presents Serie Due! While the first chapter with four releases dedicated to seascapes ended with the compilation Collezione, we are now delving into a new part of Edizioni Mondo's world that presents new views and also artists. Niagara, the first release, anticipates the L.u.c.a. album and contains 3 different versions of the same track: one from Rotla, one from Polysick and a L.u.c.a.'s own quirky version that is surprisingly dancefloor-friendly. The name MONDO has its roots in MONDO MOVIES' is inspired by libarary music and has the goal to produce music that is descriptive of concepts, images and environments. Good listening!

Eine Welt is a vinyl-only sublabel of Mond Musik, found by spaceLex (Alexander Arpeggio). While Mond Musik focuses on obscure electronic made in Germany in the 80s, Eine Welt concentrates on the contemporaneous submerged electronic scene in Europe. The first release, scheduled on the 28th of November, features undisclosed talents, reunited in a short club-oriented compilation and introduced one by one on the inlay. One of the aim of this project is to build up a community of producers with a different view on dance music.

Carlo Troja aka Don Carlos is active as a DJ from the late 70's. He debuted as a producer towards the end of the 80's with the single 'Alone' , which became one of the cult tracks of the international Deep House scene. His productions have always mixed House rhythms with afro-american jazz sounds, verging sometime towards disco, sometime towards progressive house or electronic soul. In 1992 Calypso (Irma) released 'Mediterraneo" a mini album all by playing ... Deep Jazzy house !!!

Ideepsum, Sublee's debut album, finds its home under the Metereze name. The 6 tracks are spread across 2 records like seeds sharing the same fertile ground embodied in Sublee's creativity. The album opens up with Yet Again, with its synthetic voices morphing back and forth into the track's melodic line. Side B hosts 2 cuts meant to drain all the energy off the dancefloor: Entre's obsessive spoken words, echoing deep into the techy structure, and Rumbletrouble elusive acid references that matches its pure techno roots like magic. After we let ourselves led by the riveting bassline through Road To Frequensea's playfully deep melodic lines, we hit the final chapter of this LP: Space Dive, a deep interlude into some cosmic electro future, and Mimistake, rolling full throttle into a chopped soundscape filled with heavy techno patterns.Indeepsum stays in line with the previous Metereze releases, following the road of innovations in the vast realm of electronic music.

Marko De Gregorio & Tommy Paone aka Neverdogs are an Italian duo on the rise, over the past five years the pair have released material via the likes of Tenax Recordings and Oblack and this year has seen them hold a residency at Music On (Ibiza) held at the infamous Amnesia night club on the island. Here the duo return with some new original material for Decay Records, a blossoming British imprint home to music from the likes of Ed Davenport, Jay Tripwire and DJ W!ld, following their 'Hall 9000' release.

Title track 'This Is Not The End' opens the EP and sees Neverdogs deliver an eerie, hypnotic number with dubbed out synth flourishes, sparse rhythms and gradually blooming, ghostly vocal stylings. Morris Audio's Julien Sandre steps up to remix 'This Is Not the End' next and in typical fashion from the French producer he reshapes the original number into a groove-led house workout with crunchy drums, an unfaltering bass groove and sporadic glitched out synth licks.

On the flip side Neverdogs are back with 'September Time' taking things deeper with bright bell chimes, meandering bass notes, bright stab sequences and bubbling atmospherics, Canada's Nathan Barato then steps in round off the package with his take on 'September Time', delivering a more direct, loop driven interpretation on things.

MOTHER RECORDINGS is back once again with more of the floor filling beats that has made it one of the top labels of recent times. This latest is from SIMION, a producer with ties to labels like Suara and Hedoismn and one who here serves up two top cuts just in time for summer.

First up is CAN U FEEL IT, which is six minutes of ruling deep house with nervy melodies. Great vocal samples help add fire to the groove and it's easy to see this one getting some great reactions on the floor with its pure feel good house stylings.

DEEP INSIDE MY SOUL is a more jacked up and winky track with frazzled bass, rapped vocals and tons of energy in the drums and percussion. It is one that will send crowds wild when it explodes, and is a fat groove full of fun.

Once more MOTHER RECORDINGS comes correct with a pair of fine tracks from the always excellent SIMION.

Our man DILBY is back in the house with another top shelf EP on offer. This one is dedicated to his skateboarding roots, as you might recognize from the track titles.

First up is LEAP OF FAITH which is a rough bouncy house cut with a swinging beat and driving sub for maximum impact. As the track keeps pushing forward it presents and organ and piano melody which brings the funky feeling to the next level, ready to rip the party in half once the uplifting female vocal arrives!

HUBBA HIDEOUT brings a deeper atmosphere with chunky tribal drums and a lush arpeggio melody. A spine-tingling vocal is introduced which brings the track to a lush, hands up climax for hugs and smiles on the dance floor. Then the beat drops with a heavy synth riff to remind the crowd that they are there to dance and get loose again.

The MOTHER RECORDINGS fam have been testing these over summer and we are super excited for you to finally get your hands on them too.
