Limited edition remastered reissue of Funky Family, the italo disco studio project from 1984. This production features Nicola Nicolosi from Nicolosi Family (we can remember him on Amnesie by Turas) and represents a real example of proto-house that became a Chicago classic regularly played by Ron Hardy at Muzic Box and during WBMX radio shows. This edition has the full instrumental cut on the side two instead of the short radio edit available on the original one.

Sisyphon is ready to return to the scene with a new compilation paying tribute to the Sisyphos Wintergarten. The musical style ranges from traditional deep house moving towards experimental
new-jazz venturing into hypnotic micro-minimalistic tunes.
The idea behind this VA is to create something that reflects the extravagant and colourful handmade-aesthetic of Sisyphos.
As a part of Berlins after-hours club and art space SISYPHOS, the label SISYPHON is a platform for musicians / producers and combines the hedonistic wild-life of the club and the impulsive sets of its resident and guest Djs. SISYPHOS reflects the DIY principles and alternative lifestyles of the owners, team members and artists who created and continue to re-invent the club.

As Hans Peeman's side project next to his Junktion moniker, New Franklin Theory returns to Outplay with a very personal project. Five carefully produced songs in the form of a mini-album of sorts, which showcases his journey into more melodic synth heavy work. Starting off, 'Andromeda Beach' eases you into the spacey atmosphere of the record with dreamy rhodes supported by his distinctive percussion and bass work.
Following, 'Homeward' introduces melancholic synth lines grounded by an infectious bass line for a Balearic inspired feel. 'Afterburner' ups the tempo with warm arpeggiated Juno sounds and saxy disco samples, which will remind you of his previous work. Space-funk-synth-boogie, that's what comes to mind when listening to 'In Orbit'. Instant groove with a solid beat interspersed with brief vocal samples and dreamy rhodes chords. As the closer, 'The Holtzman Effect' (award for 2018's most nerdy song title, look it up) sets you off floating away on warm chords and bass together with characteristic space bleeps.

Hot on the heels of the Jaxx Madicine remix of Kyoto Jazz Sextet on Local Talk, Tommy 'Tubojazz' Garofalo - goes on a solo adventure once again.
His previous EP "Unbreakable" had equal parts of soul, jazz and funk blended together with a house twist.
The follow-up "Night Colors EP" shows both that and a deeper electronic side.
Opening track 'Two' is a clever number with its changes & sonic wizardry throughout.
Turbojazz makes the perfect blend between house and techno dipped into one big pot of deep Detroit vibes.
Next up is 'The Joint', a track that wears the distinct Turbojazz trademark throughout with its playful keys and sequenced drum programming at full tilt.

When Smallpeople went touring Australia for the third time in 2016, we played a gig in Brisbane and had an amazing time hanging with James Hilan, a young gun from the local scene-
a heavy vinyl collector and bad-ass DJ. He took us to the Wheel of Brisbane for our first Vape experience ever and after some good laughs we became friends. When James sent over
some of his deep yet pumping tracks a few years later we were blown away and when we played them out at our monthly residency at Golden Pudel in Hamburg we decided to gave
them a home on on Fuck Reality – so here we go! Typography and full cover artwork as always by Stefan Marx.

“I’ve got these kids who can talk real fast,” was how record producer Sylvia Robinson described the Sugarhill Gang back in 1979, before their biggest hit ‘Rapper’s Delight’ was recorded. Fast forward forty years, and the song transcends genres, tastes and generations. Perhaps this is why as ‘Fever’ comes through the speakers there is a warm feeling of familiarity that comes with it. The exceptional US talent doesn’t end with Sugarhill Gang, as Qwestlife also enlist the help of Grammy award-winning vocalist Siedah Garrett and Furious Five members GrandMaster Melle Mel and Scorpio to bring together disco, hip-hop and soul on their latest output. Capturing the energy of a hot and heady dancefloor, ‘Fever’ makes a perfect follow-up to Qwestlife’s previous Glitterbox releases, as the duo continue their tradition of crafting great dance records with traditional analogue techniques. A funk-laden cut with an unwavering groove, the original version is joined by disco edit royalty KON’s remix on this 12”, silky-smooth and more instrumentally led, the Stateside producer’s mix is destined to blissfully float across the dancefloor. KON’s Reprise also features, providing an essential DJ tool.

EP number 2 from the wizards of re-editing - Psychemagik.
A selection of far-flung and undiscovered lysergic renderings of some 'well-known' pop & dance classics.
These aren't your common dime a dozen covers either, these are straight killer, bizarro rearrangements that will have you scratching your head in wonder, and hitting the discotheque dance-floor in equal measure. As always, the Psychemagik boys strive to bring you that heat, reworking from only the prime source material sourced from their regular global jaunts and epic record trades in far-flung places. Welcome to the soundtrack to a funky alternative dimension where things seem somewhat familiar, but perhaps a little off.... in the best way! Pure sonic trips all over this one. Dig it! From the people who brought you Disques Sinthomme and Ghost Town comes a new imprint LESDK.
Bringing back that NYC Lower East Side grime, LESDK will feature edits as well as new work from Dennis Kane and his circle of proper low-lifes...
Ghost Town and Disques Sinthomme featured contributions from Brennan Green, Richard Sen, The Beat Broker, Bicep, Jose Manuel, and Cosmic Metal Mother, as well as edit monsters like Jeff 'The Drunk' Overton and Cazbee. Kane will be helming this label, curating work and providing his own productions and remixes.
LESDK
Starts off side A with 'Real' - A soulful disco romp that has a gospel force as well as a powerful vocal performance. The song grooves from its first beat, and pushes the energy as it builds. "Now it's time to be real..." Edit as manifesto - Pure heat! The edit work here comes from one of the OG's of serious digging, Senior Reyes aka Jersey Pete.
Side B brings 'Action' as its first track, complementing the A Side, this is some dirty late night Philadelphia bar nastiness, mentholated disco with a humid female vocal, "I like to party, I like to flirt..."
Side B closes out with 'Motion', a slice of cosmic funkiness that laments a love that is not happening while a thick bassline moves the proceedings along.
This song has heartbreak and the haze of an early morning on the dancefloor.
Three essential edits for the DJ to bless the party people with.
Dennis Kane is a DJ and producer based in NYC, he has run the Disques Sinthomme and Ghost Town labels and is also a partner in the recording group SIREN, (with Darshan Jesrani) on Compost records.
Kane has produced numerous tracks and done remix work for Cantoma, Liz Torres, The Phenomenal Handclap Band, and Hokis Pokis among others.
He has been a DJ in NYC since the mid 90's holding down numerous residencies and touring worldwide.

Fantastic Voyage kicks off the first vinyl focused label, Fantastic Wax, with Hong Kong based vinyl aficionado, and owner of Pharmacy Records and Fauve Radio, Romain FX. Inspired by his love and respect for African music and it's deep roots, Romain approached it with a modern mindset to give a second life to the tracks that we're disappearing due to the lack of accessibility and rarity of these records.

On the flip Rahaan lays down an early 80's boogie theme that heads probably might recognise. But check that build-up...wow!

Staying true to those bottom heavy US house vibes, the Freak is back with a release even chunkier than the first on this imprint.
The mysterious and self proclaimed creator of 'concrete funk' ensures that all four tracks of this release deserve serious floor space.
Side A is a perfect merger off a Chicago v Detroit sound, with jacking drums overlapping deep but never dull chords and stabs. With stabs of vocals reminding the room that you are seriously 'Mackin tha Heat'.
The B-side shows a completely different sound to the freak with chunky acid house sounds accompanied by a track that has a hypnotic techno style groove from start to end.

One Thelma it seems, is never enough...
Following the rousing response to GALL008, Bitter End return like a Nadal serve with two more interpretations from their private stock
'Kneel B4 Thelma' spoiled us with an utterly futuristic cyborg-Soul anthem...
'Thelma Hous' takes her down an altogether more dimly lit back alley to gain entrance to a clandestine gathering, a door rattling throb greats us upon entry, then a kaleidoscopic Disco Ball and laser combo explodes with 'Leave Me This' on the flip. A raucous and scantily clad energy blast of a timeless piece of Disco history

After releasing strong stuff on labels like Razor-n-Tape, Quintessentials and Quartet Series plus some recent remix action on Melbourne's Kyoku, monsieur Goddard has made a new EP for us as a perfect follow up to his 2015 Loose Jams!
He presents a wonderful EP of three varied tracks, showcasing his prowess in combining synths and sampled bits.
First up is uptempo discofied 'Hazy', which builds well on the sound he's become known for.On the flip there's deep dusty chugger 'Peaches' and the sweet, sweet melodies of synthy groover 'Murmur' to provide a proper close to the EP!

canadian beatdown master “eddie c” is back with fourth full length on endless flight!
this new album is his unique mixture of laid back hip hop and lo-fi house sound which is inspired from late 80’s to early 90’s and much more darker than usual.
the album kick off by old school hip hop tracks of “carbondate”,in the park” then new wave disco sound of “way uptown” it reminds us nyc post punk/new wave artist “konk”,dubby brazilian percus-sive disco track “batucada”,”berlina” is early 90’s nyc house like pal joy, probably most club friendly track “bad words” is wired new wavy vocal house madness and the album close with dreamy down tempo track “an der wedding” heavy kraut rock influenced stuff.
hope you enjoy.

Ivaylo is next up on his Bogota Records imprint with a pair of fresh new cuts that come complete with a remix from Hugo LX. Bulgarian native Ivaylo is based in Oslo, and has vast experience of the dance music industry, having continuously proving himself as an essential DJ and producer, most recently his release on Cassy's Kwench Records 'Ae Way'.
He delivers again here with Hausa, a deep roaming tune with a bassline that immediately lifts your energy. It makes for a back room track that is super tasteful and filled with warped synths and deft percussion that gets under your skin. Hugo LX serves up a tripe remix with tiny little sonic details, a spooky sense of late night mischief and neon melodies that really standout.
Last of all, House Moult is a busier, more bristling cut with jostling drums and underlapping bass, an inventive sense of musical warmth and plenty of fresh ideas that are finished with an anthemic vocal that will get the crowd on their toes.
This is another standout EP from all concerned, and another great chapter of Bogota Records.

With Necessary Ruffness DJ Nature presents some of his finest works recorded as 'Nature Boy' during the early 90's. Real, Whatchusay and Philly Bound come in the original versions. But for this re-issue we chose to go for a previously unreleased version of Euro Disney. With its slightly different break and tighter sound, this version is a bit more powerful. All tracks are remastered from original '92 session tapes. Big Tip!

Words from the label:
Our imprint marks its five years anniversary this year and to celebrate it's offering up five special various artist packages across 2019 limited to 250 copies each, featuring material from the likes of Vid, The Mole, Cinthie, Shinichiro Yokota, San Proper, Akiko Kiyama, Com Sin aka Cosmin TRG, Subb-an and more..
Tokyo-based Far East Recording artist Shinichiro Yokota opens the '5 Years Anniversary Series 02' with 'I Know You Like' a harkening back to the days of soulful, musical house courtesy of jazzy synth lines, warm chords and choppy bass running alongside a swinging drum groove and vocal hooks uttering the track's title.
The Mole follows on the flip side with 'A Simple Day', turning in a typically raw and funkinfused workout via dusty drum sounds, looped guitar licks, warbling low-end tones and an underlying psychedelic feel that always makes The Mole's tracks unique. This project also sees a new design concept for the imprint from London's David Surman's painting installation project 'Paintings For The Cat Dimension' which ''explores the motif of the cat as emblematic of internet aesthetics, a place

Dancing has been an intrinsic element of cultural development in every society on Earth, and has existed in multitudinous forms since time immemorial. For many, it is a pure expression of joy, a release of inhibition and a communal act of passion and celebration. For others however, it can induce self-consciousness and social anxiety which, combined with peer pressure or societal expectations, can lead to distress. Fortunately, there is a solution to this predicament, thanks to the tireless efforts of a Copenhagen based Groove expert in the early 90's. After extensive studies of dance styles throughout history, Rune Weise Kofoed was able to isolate a dance move which was not only as culturally universal as laughter, but also induced no adverse effects in even the most severe cases of dancer's anxiety. He called this move "Dorsi Plantar", and it instantly became so popular that it was commonly performed by those who had never heard of it. Its versatility was so great that it was appropriate for every genre of music, and its execution so straightforward and intuitive that it could be achieved by dancers of all ages and skill levels. For all these reasons and more, Dorsi Plantar is now the single most common dance move anywhere in the world, and is generally recognised as being "Perfectly Normal Behavior." Following the success of this dance revolution, Rune has gone on to create a musical movement of the same name. Like the dance move, this music has been developed through an exhaustive search of historical material, which had been carefully recorded onto vinyl for posterity. These records were collected and combined under the name Dorsi Plantar to create a new rhythmic creation with the same universal appeal and ease of enjoyment which made his infamous move such a huge success. Now, for the first time, Kyoku Records have been given the opportunity to present Dorsi Plantar's phenomenal creations as a collectible vinyl pressing, featuring an exclusive remix by Paxton Fettel. Simply place Dorsi Plantar's "Perfectly Normal Behavior" EP in an appropriate player and we guarantee that you will perform his signature move entirely by instinct.
