On July 6th Lockah follows up his recent 'And Blue Brindle Too' EP (which picked up support from Fader & Noisey) with a new long player, 'It Gets More Cloudy...', which furthers his stylistic progression, integrating a host of live instruments and vintage synthesizers into his set up - all recorded in a remote Sussex studio featuring guitar by Mount Bank and drums from Lockah himself.

IGMC finds Lockah reaching for pop driven melodies, delivering joyous moments of funked out basslines, ear worm synth lines and beats drawing from a rich palette of electronic music from the past and present creating original music with a unique personality.

Following a series of releases on Mad Decent, Mishka, Activia Benz & Donky Pitch as well as his Tuff Wax imprint, Lockah released his debut album 'Yahoo Or The Highway' via Donky Pitch in 2014, gaining support from Pitchfork, XLR8R, Dummy & Resident Advisor. He has remixed Hundred Waters, Danny Brown, Jaw Jam & Slugabed, provided guest mixes for Diplo on BBC Radio 1 & Dummy Mag and played shows across the UK, Europe and Australia.

Double A-side single, 'Facety 2:11' / 'Like A Drum' sees Roots Manuva recruit two of electronic music's most formidable talents, Four Tet and Machinedrum.

Musical explorer Debruit returns with a new solo album 'Outside The Line', set for release through his new imprint ICI.

After drifting far at sea, Debruit is reaching the coast of an imaginary land where ancient west Africa cohabits with 80's New York. Hooked on a theme of "African coldwave", 'Outside The Line' collects unexpected musical flotsam, combining polyrhythmic dance patterns with synthetic machine music. Its a territory where the chant heavy, minimal strut of 'Separated Together' rubs up against DFA-style dub-disco on 'Shock' and hi-tempo shenanigans on 'Transverse'.

French producer and musician Xavier Thomas aka Debruit is a musical explorer who imagines alternate worlds and the way they'd sound. He plays with time and disparate sounds, molding static dimensions and geographical borders into new asymmetrical audio forms. His music is electronic but with a human feel.

Bullion makes his return with 'Rooster', a mini album of free range funk set in a musical barnyard.
From the world outside your window, Rooster jigs a jig and chants a chant, fzzes up in the Far East
on 'Saysah!' and pops itself back in England (with a vocal feature from ESKA) on 'Pull Your Rug Away'.
Whichever came frst, chicken and egg bind together and the yolk is rich!

Marcin Cichy (Meeting by Chance / Skalpel / Ninja Tune) is a multi-talented artist from Wroclaw Poland , an expert in sound design, ambient and cinematographic sounds. His music can be described as an original hybrid of dub and minimal with granular sound design, ambient sounds and unique quality sound.

An Opal Tapes debut from Michael Vallera of the group Cleared, Distance makes a clear case for just how easily industrial and dark ambience swings between beauty and fear, and with more than a wink of gothic that brings to mind a host of classic cvlt missives by Lycia, Vidna Obmana or Maeror Tri, the sonorous gifts of an amazing 80s Italian underground tape scene. As with the best of those, these works mark the transition between dream and nightmare. Something chilling, perhaps borne of the subconscious's twisted ability to fuck you up, but remaining just out of reach. Subtle perfumes linger in the air and a kind of romantic melancholy spreads, but the overwhelming sensation is of a patient and growing dread.

Spatial is rebooting his Infrasonics label with a series of three 12"s titled Emergence. The first 12" evolves his distinctive sound, further blurring techno and the hardcore continuum. Early DJ support has come from Lee Gamble, Ben UFO, Hodge and Beneath. A-side title "HeLa" refers to an 'immortal' type of cell used in biomedical research, containing a mutation allowing unlimited division and growth. Meanwhile, a URL on the centre label leads to a generative digital artwork inspired by mathematician John Conway's Game Of Life. This simulation of cellular reproduction illustrates the process of emergence, by which complex patterns arise from interactions between simple entities. Spatial's previous appearance on Infrasonics was 2011's Infra001-4, a CD compilation that underlined his first four EPs as an original, cohesive body of work. Since 2012 the label has been in hiatus, while Spatial has had releases on Ultramajic, Well Rounded, West Norwood Cassette Library, Broken20 and Niche 'n' Bump among others. His return to Infrasonics is the culmination of two strands of work. The original Infrasonics material hints at practices of intense restriction and simplification. Its subtle dynamics won't necessarily be appreciated in peak-time club play. Spatial's work for other labels on the other hand is relatively unfettered, tougher and more impulsive. This 12" is the best of both worlds: microscopic in detail yet rough and ready, conceptually driven with no nonsense.It's pressed on heavyweight 180g white vinyl and housed in a printed transparent sleeve. Emergence parts two and three are forthcoming later this year.

Formula Records follow up our initial compilation sampler with two artists at the foundation of our burgeoning label, Formula founder Champion and the original renaissance man of grime, Terror Danjah. Our second sampler is another double A-side ahead of the release of our full 'f=BASS²' compilation in a few weeks. The A-side is the one Formula fans have been waiting for - originally aired on Champion's Soundcloud, and a staple of his sets for some time, 'Cannon' is a rhythmic stomper that's heavy on the percussion and thick on the bass. Slabs of kick drum, insistent cowbell, tumbling sub bass and claps that jump out of the mix, the track comes across as drum workout with a hint of G-Funk that's proving a crowd favourite, complete with a stepping snare hit that cuts to the bone. On the flip you'll find original grime don Terror Danjah switch it up with a bubbling sub-bass ride that MCs will be screaming to jump on. Shuffling rhythms combine with a jump up bass melody that's built for peak time pressure in the dance - a pure Terror Danjah rolla. 'f=BASS² (Sampler 2)' will be released on 12' vinyl promo, shortly followed by the complete 'f=BASS²' compilation - full of label classics, new material from the full Formula family and some very special guests.

Following the emergence of two new tracks - These Two Thoughts, which featured an interactive flight sim/video, and Kittens, Puppies, Sunsets, Sex accompanied by a video constructed from footage of Fuse Art Space's DRIFT autorobotics project - we're extremely excited to announce the new full-length record by Ambrosia(@). Spanning nine tracks over 48 minutes, the album journeys through ecstatic hits of noise, extended ambient plates, nocturnal ghetto themes and warped anthems for misguided dancefloors.

Bottin is back this March with his 'Parody / Progesso' EP on Bearfunk which includes a collaboration with Rodion. For the labels sixty-fourth release the London-based Bearfunk Records invites back long-time member of the label family & good friend Bottin, next month he re-joins an impressive roster that boasts names such as Todd Terje, Ray Mang, Max Essa and Blakula to name a few. The Italian native now residing in Venice has a rather impressive back catalogue which he has seamlessly built over a decade in the industry, notably marking releases on Nang Records, Tin, Perseo, Eskimo Recordings and this November returns to Bearfunk once more with two well-crafted melody-driven cuts that are bound to turn some heads. For 'Parody' Bottin works in catchy keyboard riffs and soothing subterranean basslines over playful percussion to dish up a cut with an undeniably soulful and infectious groove. For the second track on the EP he teams up with fellow Nang & Eskimo affiliate Rodion, who himself has also released a wealth of material on Telonius & Munk's Gomma Records. 'Progresso' is right on the mark with delicate bass swells, oscillating keys and shifting percussion that the pair combine sublimely to deliver a somewhat slower yet playfully melodic cut that really comes into its own.

Written and recorded during 3 days session in the studio, there is a spontaneous and relaxing vibe on this album. Even the more intense and "angry" tunes tend to soften up in the end and dissolve into the creamy-washy space thats create the album atmosphere. It feels like its a natural progression from "Memory Tower" - their first album recorded in 2012. Albalak was inspired to write lyrics and sing, Sol Monk recorded a solo album and got more into beats/electronica and Abro kept perfecting his bass lines and grooves. The guests - KerenDun, Nitai Hershekowitz and Marina Maximiliian Blumin - added a beautiful and unique musical touch. Each of them with his distinct color and attitude found a way to integrate and contribute in the best possible way, like a 4th band member. Whats the difference between Layers and Things on top of each other its a good question, think about it.....

Nickodemus and the Turntables on the Hudson crew return for Volume 10 of the long running compilation series, showcasing the eclecticism of the infamous, now worldwide party. Entitled "Uptown Downtown", this compilation CD paints a picture of the dancefloor from the beginning to the end of the night at TOTH's NYC Summer 2015 Uptown home (La Marina in Washington Heights) and their year round downtown home, above the clouds at Le Bain on top of the Standard Hotel in Manhattan. Blank Realm's transformation across the Australian mystic from sprawling spaced out psychotic punk blues, through the startling maverick pop psychedelia of 'Go Easy' to the widely acclaimed 'Grassed Inn', continues in its unrelenting quest for that quintessential synergy of chiming pop anthems.

Hook-laden throughout they unleash their wild yet tender new album 'Illegals In Heaven' which offers up freaked out reflections on life, love and circumstance. As knowing as the Chills or the Pretenders, loner ballads are as gnarled and world weary as Dylan in a cacophony as bruised as Royal Trux yet with the playfulness of Half Japanese.

Recorded and produced with Lawrence English (head of the Room40 label) on a late night at The Plutonium studio in Brisbane, the album sees them on their first foray into a recording studio. While it wasn't exactly Abbey Road, it truly captures the chaos and majesty of the band's formidable live shows.

It would be all too easy to say that 'Illegals In Heaven' is their finest work to date, but the simple truth is that Blank Realm have been without peers for a trilogy of albums, so it just might be as Sarah huskily intones, "Gold" too.

Was für ein Jahr für Kieza. Mit ihrer Single "Hideaway" hat sie in Deutschland auf Anhieb Gold erreicht und rund um den Globus die Charts erobert. Das Video wurde bereits über 110 Millionen Mal angeschaut. Am letzten Wochenende war Kieza mit ihrer neuen Single "Giant In My Heart" zu Gast bei "Schlag den Raab". Anfang September widmete das ZEITMagazin Kieza den Titel und eine 14-seitige Modestrecke. Originally released on Skeleton Recordings, it was a big favourite of DJ Randall and LTJ Bukem but as a young Charlie Fracture was only 13 at the time it was pirate radio where he first heard it:

"I had a tape from my favourite station, Weekend Rush. It was a Vinyl Groove set with MC Shabba over it and a lot of the records on there totally blew my mind. I've since found out what pretty much all of the records are but there was this one, Luv Ta Luv Ya, that I only recently managed to get an ID on and lost my mind again. I hadn't heard it outside of that tape, which I sadly lost."

Soon after finding out the details of the record, Fracture took to twitter to pass on his love for the track and praise to DJ Monita. It turned out the praise was mutual and that he was very much still active. Very soon after that a remix was arranged . . . sometimes the internet does actually work, or was it something in the stars

The tenth release from Cosmic Bridge sees label head Om Unit add another exciting new artist to his expanding roster,

Providnece born Jason Taylor pka Graphs. Now based out of Boston, Massachusetts he is the first North American memeber

of a worldwide family that includes Kromestar and Boxcutter and has given us Moresounds, EAN and Danny Scrilla; who

after making their debuts for the label have gone on to make waves.

After the success of Cosmic Bridge's last release, the Om Unit currated Cosmology compilation, Om Unit was looking ahead

for new blood.... he says

"I found Jason through listening to his Ground Mass material. (The burgeoning US label on which Graphs has graced

several compilations and ultimately released his debut "Scylla EP") Graphs to me has this very focused approach, quite

singular and monotonal and definately in a sense quite bleak and minimalistic. With "Posthuman" he draws on that robotic

notion of the "severed heart". He touches on the Grime and Footwork styles but maintaining this sense of originality

and putting it across in his own way, something which I admire in any artist."

Graphs feels right at home on Cosmic Bridge. On Posthuman he explores the furtive middle ground between UK Drum &

Bass and US Footwork. Cold and instrumental but with the potential to ignite, his label debut takes hyperkinetic drums,

stringently arranged breaks and darkside synths and develops jittery, tech-stepping, rhythmic patterns with close attention

to atmospheric and textural detail. In doing so he provides four tracks of menacing, twitchy Footwork with exceptional

potency and proper dread future shock that roll with fluid halfstep D&B and just a hint of old skool Photek. The shapeshifting

slow/fast electronic parameters of this record are informed by a noirish backdrop of cyber-surreal dream states and are

buoyed by brooding bass and subs that rattle your bones and incite the feet.

Jason explains

The '6613' EP from DJ Rashad's vaults will be released just over a year after his untimely passing, with all the proceeds going to his family. Some of these songs will be familiar to anyone who saw Rashad DJ. The first are two really upbeat, rolling juke tracks, 'CCP2' has breezy worldless vocals chopped and diced over a rolling claps and kicks, and 'Cause I Know U Feel', with Gant-Man, chops a longing vocal refrain into a delirious frenzy of unexpected shapes, over pounding kicks and toms as a warm synth swells up. The vocals recede towards the end leaving just a synth glow. 'Ya Hot', with Taso, chops and changes rhythms, dipping into half speed trap, to rolling 4/4 and into more offbeat patterns, while a hectic, bleeping melody bangs out in contrast, almost as if its tracing the pattern of dancing feet. 'Do Not Fuck' is a paranoid 'footwork as a virtual panic attack' track, drawing fxs through a tunnel of accelerated bleeps, the only constant being a deadly serious guitar breakdown, a deep bass tone and the warning words of the title. The energy of DJ Rashad will remain strong through his music.
