Last but not least, the excentric Jefferson Belmondo makes an appearance With a disco'ish anthem
called Booty Groove. The title kind off reveals where he's coming from as Jefferson might be unknown for most,
on the streets of Miami he is a bonafide legend. After spending most of his life in shady motels and as a DJ in extravagant
nightclubs, Jefferson finally took out his old DAT tapes and got this track to Kastil through a mutual friend.
All and all, Many Shades of Soul Notes Vol.1 is a peaktime record that is above all meant for clubplay.
This fine package includes a 180GR 12'' and a designed sleeve. This 6th installment in the Soul Notes series will be available from
March 4th through all respected retailers.

Some proper peak time house tracks on UK's Dogmatik label blending Uk garage vibes with traditional US house. One of London's finer house imprints (the label introduced some fine works by the talents of Maya Jane Coles, Stojche and Alex Arnout)!. They deliver the goods once more with talented London producers Dusky, with the 'Flo Jam EP', four tracks of quality house already gathering support from the likes of Lee Foss, Maya Jane Coles and Huxley, to name a few.

The now internationally acclaimed homeboy Huxley returns to the Hypercolour bosom with a fine two track EP that proves he isn't resting on his laurels, despite a stunning 2012, and crafts floor slaying tracks with big personalities like few others out there. In 2012 the Big Thing From Tring headlined festivals and clubs all over the world and turned in EPs and remixes for the likes of Tsuba and 2020, but might have saved his best for us.
The A side is taken up with 'Bellywedge' which fuses together all Huxley's influences to date and reimagines them as something fresh.
The result is a peak time track weighed down by a rich bassline that writhes about of its own accord. A filtered and almost indecipherable vocal adds euphoric elements, but broody congas keep things ultimately deep.
On the flip, 'Little Things' starts with an infectious, tinny two step skip before the kick lands proper and another bona-fide Huxley bomb beings to take shape.
It's meaty and pumping, with nimble basslines, arresting percussive hooks and a great sense of balance.

Following on from the very succesful Xoom001, the second release heads to deep house territory via artists LP, Florian Muller and Jemaho. Opening track My Lady by Lp hits hard with deep chords and an infectious bassline. We welcome back Florian Muller again for A2 with the beautiful and spacey Solar.
The b side starts with Lp again with a nice old school groove with catchy lyrics and amazing snares. Jemaho finishes it off with a Detroit style deep house gem of a track.
In keeping with the first release the emphasis is on authentic deep house Xoom style.

Warehouse Find! - Test Pressing!

It seems like ages since we last had Roberto Rodriguez on the label with his excellent Be Somebody back in 2008, so we're plenty happy to welcome him back for a long overdue follow up. Roberto clearly hasn't just been sitting on his arse the last 4 years however, having established the Serenades label which released his own LP Dawn last year, as well as putting out the killer Thinking Of You release on Fina plus numerous remixes for rock solid labels such as Let's Play House, On The Prowl, Moodmusic and 2020 Vision. Those familiar with Roberto's productions and credentials will know he has a fine ear for disco and 90's house born out of years collecting records and DJing in the best clubs in his native Helsinki.
Kicking off with Dance Like Nobody's Watching, we see Roberto tread confidently into pure, unadulterated retro house territory with NJ organ stabs, swinging 909 drum groove and choice vocal hits.
Oxymoron keeps things a little deeper with tracky filtering chords and driving drums resulting in a garage-influenced feel with bucket loads of raw attitude.
Finally we have The Black Madonna on board for a remix of the title track. The Chicago producer impressed us recently with her brilliant disco-infused tracks on Stripped & Chewed and Home Taping labels and thought her the perfect choice to contribute to the release. Here she delivers a lesson in stripped back Chicago warehouse vibes keeping everything to a bare minimum for maximum club bump. Kick, claps and piano stabs form the basic groove as she confidently develops the arrangement slowly and surely.
