Lost Soul Enterprises is an artist-run label based in New York City. We produce quality dance records, limited edition art objects, and other hybrid media.
This untitled 12 inch vinyl is our inaugural release: four original house and techno compositions by founders Richard Gamble + Michael Rogers.


A1 Reverentz starts with a tight, punchy kick drum, bouncy hihats and claps, and slowly build with warm harmonic washes and cutup soulful vocals. After dropping into a brief vocal interlude, a depp rolling bassline brings it all back together with maximum dancefloor effect.


The A2 cut is a more hollowed, abstract interpretation of the same vocal theme. Eroded, reverb-soaked fragments of melodies weave in and out of raw, frenetic drum patterns. A jerky tambourine/snare pairing emerges midway to push things into overdrive.


B1 Blind Boy combines a deep, brooding drone with jazzy organ stabs and a vicious, relentless kick and snare. Gospel vocals emerge suddenly from this tangled web, adding a further haunting element to a unique and weirdly danceable track.


B2 Telekinesis Up is a highly infectious old school electro drum workout peppered with gritty, growling synth chords and percussive mallet accents. A dueling synth bass/lead combo alternates warm, saturated melodic phrases between the breaks.

Actions speak louder than words, or so the saying goes. Only recently Manchester DJ Stretford Dogs Club, issued a rallying call to the Deep House scene, calling on people to stop reaching for past glories when they should be trying to carve fresh, relevant ones into a future that is all but begging them to. The man had a point, and as though to hammer this home, we have the timely arrival of his latest EP from his brand new label Mans Best Friend, produced by up and coming London producer Rotty, with man of the moment Alex Agore standing by on remix duty. The EP echoes his sentiments with splashes of sumptuous sonics and mellifluous moods, leading the way to where he wishes others would follow.




'Aaliyah' cuts straight to the chase. The drums launch into a groove that will drive you straight onto the dancefloor, as gentle hints of the bass line weave their way in and out of the track. All the while, it feel as though you've been caught in a shower of bursting bubbles of electronic delights. This builds and teases until it glides forward and wraps you up in a deep embrace that just doesn't let go. And nor would you want it to!

'Yeah I Love' is a track that is guaranteed to turn nodding heads into swinging hips in a heartbeat. It's steady simplicity belies intricate layers of sound that are manipulated in such a way as to leave the listener constantly delighted by each twist and turn. From the opening caress of the achingly beautiful organ riff, through the insistent vocal that demands your attention, to the instantly catchy woodblock synth line that will roll around your head long after the track has finished, this one is primed for peaktime deployment. 'Yeah I Love Remix' strips away anything that was delicate about the original and ramps it up a notch or three. The organ becomes more urgent, the vocal loses itself in stuttering stabs that roll into each other and the synths burst forth in an arresting and pronounced manner that will have the heads down and the feet stomping. And no wonder why as it is none other than the great Alex Agore on the remix tip.

'Honesty' slowly reveals itself, starting with teasing high hats and a subtle yet solid kick drum, before allowing the vocal to carry the track forward to a buoyant bass line that will seduce a strut and a sway out of even the most hesitant of dancefloors. The gentle synth pops that tumble over the beat throughout compliment it in such a way that allows the tune to offset its seemingly serious mood with an inherent playfulness.

'Deep In My' is another track that will delight the dancers out there. The vocal and the piano riff are entwined within the track in such a way that they seem to play off each other, combining to deliver a ravishing refrain that is played with tantalizingly throughout. All of this sits astride a beat that somehow still manages to assert itself in the listener's ear, even with all those wondrous electronic harmonies clamoring for your attention.

Release #003 see's the introduction of three French producer's, all are based in Paris with a passion and love for the house sounds from Chicago and Detroit forming a blueprint for the 'Dubble Dubs'EP.First up is Karol Herse aka K-One with 'Escape',a thunderous kick and skipping percussion with hypnotic chords that builds before a great drop takes things down,before building it all back up again into the second half of the track.Next up is Janeret's 'Let's Get Back' with a deep rumbling bassline,raw stab's and almost jazz influenced organ sound takes us back to the early American House sounds of the early 90's,recreating the pure uplifiting nature of those tracks with a modern sensibility perfectly.Next up is Manu Sene or St-Sene with the raw and heavy 'Juke Joint',which makes no compromises with its tough old school drum programming,raw chords and cut-up vocal samples leading to a mighty piano breakdown..Last but by no means least is Janeret's second contribution 'NY Flava',the deepest cut on the EP with a warm bassline and sparse percussion underpinning intricate chord progressions and atmospheric pads.The skills of this trio are here for all to see,and this third release will continue to help build 124 Recordings growing reputation.

Bursting into 2013 with a heavy dose of House, we see new Leeds based, vinyl only imprint dish up a tasty serving of well cooked beats. This exciting new label sets its stall out with its opening EP, Different Day EP, clearly indicating what they are all about. Shrouded in mystery, this stomper of a release comes from an unknown source. As many speculate as to who the original artists is, all we can be sure of is that he/she ticks the boxes when it comes to textured grooves, classic chords and hair raising vocals, something the label has deep at its roots. On a more familiar note, the B side welcomes in Scottish house hero James Johnston. James is no stranger to the underground scene having had a string of releases on Illusion records, 4Lux and Dikso to name but a few. Regarded by many as one of the most exciting producers at the forefront of the current underground house scene, its no wonder, listening to his take on the Love & Happiness track. James' remix hits hard with a dark dubby and warped slammer of a track, sure to inject a lethal dose of energy onto any dance floor. Also on remix duties, Pathway Traxx has drafted in relative new comer Montel, but don't let that sway you. Montel is set to take the underground scene by storm, getting huge support from the likes of Jordan Peak, Waze & Odyssey and Bicep. This Irish house connoisseur shows us why he has been picked up by the likes of Wax Classic and Seven Music. His remix of Different Day is a no holds barred, 5 minute thrill ride with shades of garage and good old rave, sure to getany crowd bouncing. All in all this opening release sets the bar very high for what promises to be an exciting new label. With limited pressings and distinctive red vinyl, this release will hold a proud spot in many a DJ's record bag.

"Latin House" party - that's the keyord for exclusive jet set events on holiday islands in the Mediterranean, such as Ibiza, Mykonos, Kos or Hvar, with full moon in lukewarm nights, white houses, green palms and a blue sea, chic pools, exotic cocktails and fast cars, neat hotel beaches, huge sunglasses and tiny bikinis, beautiful women and well-built men in casual white suits. Even more cliché hardly goes, but so incredibly it sounds, this image brings the sound "Latin House" pretty much to the point.

Even though the trend-club sound "Latin House" was not invented in the Mediterranean, it there has a huge fan potential for this type of party music every summer. English Djs in particular put on almost exclusively "Latin House" in trendy noble clubs all around the Mediterranean.
As long as Spanish vocals appear in the tracks and a few Latin American sound elements are inserted stylistically, this basic concept can be combined with Deep House, Funky House, Disco House, Minimal House, Techno House and even with Progressive House. As a result, DJs can present this variant of the electronic club music remarkably varied.
Most of the trendy summer hits 2011 and 2012 are on this double compilation "The Latin House Night Club". All titles run (as usual in "Latin House") with 127 bpm and are miscible into each other. Thinned intros and outros are consequently eliminated, because all professional DJs nowadays work with laptop and DJ software.

Only a few "Latin House" producers really come from Latin America, most of them live in Europe and rove around all the fashionable trendy nightclubs in the Mediterranean holiday regions. The best known are Juan Magan, DJ Chus, Oscar Barila, Ray Leandro, Marcelo Rosselot, Dario Nuñez, David Herrero or Martin Eyerer.
During the summer one can experience them night after night at the turntables in Hvar, Pag, Mykonos, Bodrum, Tenerife, Rimini and Ibiza. They know their audience, know the best actual "Latin House" hits and how to get raving the scene.

Who wants to save time and effort, can easily download all 30 tracks of "The Latin House Club Night " on the computer and put the DJ programme on "autopilot" .... there is not much to do wrong as a DJ ...and then, finally, you have time to enjoy a cool drink or to look, where the pretty girls are sipping their cocktail.

ESCORT is definitely not your typical band. Escort is big. Literally. The seventeen-member "disco orchestra", founded by producers Eugene Cho and Dan Balis, and fronted by lead singer Adeline Michèle, features an incredible cast of musicians who have played with everyone from indie-rock titans Arcade Fire to avant-classical luminaries Alarm Will Sound.

No Static Recordings is excited to announce a ten track album of remixes of classic Escort tracks, by some of the Disco and House scenes key players including Greg Wilson, Ewan Pearson, Max Essa, Leftside Wobble, Proper Heat, Venice Beach, Jkriv, Black Russian and Sub Swara. Available on CD and digitally at all good music stores this Summer.

Escort burst on to the scene in 2006 with a string of critically acclaimed 12"s that included future classics "Starlight" and "All Through The Night", both DJ staples that get still get plenty of play on dancefloors. As DJs nursed their electro-clash hangover with a seemingly never ending stream of disco edits, Escort stood out, in part, by creating dance music the old fashioned way: with impeccable production, musicianship, and song-writing. The following several years saw them bring the same uncompromising approach to their live show. In an era where dance music is dominated by samples and computers, Escort took a sprawling ensemble to the stage and developed a reputation as one of New York's most compelling live acts, capable of performing their elaborate recordings note for note.

NDV chalk up their inaugural release. The guys behind this new label are all about doing things properly, great house music, great techno, no compromises. That attitude is clear in the lineup for the first EP, fresh new artists alongside some of the best and hottest remixers around right now. Oli Furness's "Need a friend" track leads the pack off with a Inner City style house throw down. The whole idea of this EP was to take some classic sounds, done in thoroughly fresh manner, and give them to a couple of remixers who are so bang on the cutting edge it hurts. This EP was about taking the best ideas and providing something fresh and pushing new sounds on.

With that in mind James Welsh (Wolf/Futureboogie) took the challenge of remixing Need a friend and provided something that is nothing less than a peak time monster. Welshy at his best cutting through what's trendy nowadays like a knife through butter , we won't say anymore...listen for yourself.

On the flipside, The end of the beginning is a house track from Oli, which features and incredible vocal from Yemi Bolatiwa. We were very excited to get this on the release, considering who we had on board to work the remix for us. Daniel Solar and Andi De Luxe, our good friends from the impressive Dikso Records in Berlin did an outstanding job, completely reinventing the vibe of the track and adding their own Berlin house spin to things.

This first EP has been a long time in the making and is a statement of NDV's intent - and we can't wait for the next one...

Bristling with psychedelic, cosmic and curiously Balearic oddities hand-picked from the depths of their vast record collections, Magik Sunrise is, if anything, even more inspired that its predecessor.

For 'Magik Sunrise', the Kent-based duo has dug even deeper into the dusty corners of their record vault, deep in the Cosmic Forest. The result is another inspired, 15-track
collection that gleefully skips between all manner of forgotten gems and little-known nuggets, occasionally stopping to acclaim an otherwise unknown track or artist.

Off-kilter African reggae (Max Adioa) nestles side by side with eyes-closed deep-jazz funk (Rob Mehl, George Oban), while the stoned, Balearic prog rock of Jeff Liberman jostles for position with the Steve Miller Band-on-valium goodness of Fox's 'The Juggler'. Then there's the Roxy Music-ish grooves of Joey Newman, the drifting new age ambience of Iasos (whose 'Formentera Sunset Clouds', from the 1975 album 'Inter- Dimensional Music', is a highlight) and the folksy bliss of Yves Simon. Artists originally ignored first time round, such as Daniel Mathieu, Cherubin, Susana Estrada and Steve & Teresa, are given a place in the spotlight. In fact, Leng spent a
considerable amount of time tracking down each artist, allowing them to tell their stories, give the inside history of each

Given that Magik Cyrcles was widely considered to be one of the best compilations of 2012, that's some feat. That collection garnered praise across the board, appearing in the end-of-year charts of Rough Trade, Juno and Piccadilly Records. As if that wasn't enough, DJ magazine also described it as 'f***ing great!'

The public seemed to agree with their assessment. The limited-edition gatefold, double-vinyl edition of the collection sold out within two days and now changes hands for upwards of £50 on Discogs.

For 124 Recordings' 4th release, Austrian producer Fabe steps up, and with the help of 2 killer remixes, delivers an EP that ticks all the boxes.

The original "Dusty Chords" starts as it means to go on with a baseline that instantly draws you into the groove before the chords lighten the mood and show you what this track is all about. Lush pads lift the track again and the ever evolving sounds keep you well and truly locked in as the track twists and turns to it's climax.

Swiss man of the moment Washerman is first up on remix duties taking a more direct route. His trademark beats are quick to get going before playing in his own riff with the original chords. Lush pads again provide a lift and vocal snippets from the original give this remix a real feel good vibe.

Rounding the EP off in style is a slow burning and deeper mix from Desos. Blissed out chords and a floating string are complimented by a killer baseline to give this track an irresistible contrast that makes it perfect for warming up the club.
