French producer Fulbert launches his newly found Rawthenticity imprint with 4 raw deep cuts made by himself. The significant Fulbert sound is heavily present on this piece of wax. Thumping drums are subtly combined with vocal cuts and floating pad sounds. Raw house music in it's essense.

The summer might be almost over, but GrooveTraxx's is just getting started with an impressive vinyl debut. You'd think it'd get harder for Wilson head honcho, Fabio Monesi to keep achieving the same level of refinement with each release he puts on, But truth be told is that he simply just glides right over it with the third part of the spectacular underground warriors. Bringing on the heavy weight all-stars FABIO MONESI, TRANSITIVE ELEMENTS aka ENRICO MANTINI, JAMES JOHNSTON, UPSWING PROJECT aka ALEX AGORE the 90's revival movement doesn't look like it'll will go anywhere soon when a release of this caliber pops out. The expression of the first track with its cry out 'put it on wax', somehow manages to claw back in time and capture the raw sound that dominated the true pioneering house sounds of days gone. Repetition is a virtue and it comes in beautiful fashion; the looped vocals, those crisp jutting hi hats and kicks just ooze dance appeal throughout. The sheer diversity ranging from the disco grooves of the final track to the idiocentric take on early electronic sounds complimented with the accompaniment of the softly weaved vocals are anything but a mere triumph for sound. The sheer brilliance is made clear with the brass arrangement pointing to the disco days and at what a time it comes at!

Garry Todd teams up with Mic Newman for Illusion 5 with some proper house music as we like it!! The A-side kicks off with 'The Shelter', a dance floor destroyer with a loving nod to the early 90s New York club, the track has taken its name from. With NY Stomp (ILL003) still fresh in the consciousness, this track takes off from where that left with old school chords, tightly programmed drums, acid riff and hooky 90s vocals. 'Sex, Drugs & Sausage Rolls' is a different recipe all together. Mic and Garry get seriously stuck in, increasing the sleaze, funk and Sausage Roll factor; taking us on a druggy, hypnotic, heads down booty call, reminding us all of those special summer moments that have just passed. On the B-Side Garry flies solo to create another hands in the air summer anthem with 'Swing Down'. With a warm, grooving bass line and beautiful vocal sitting over Garry's trademark old school drums, Garry pulls the heart strings and kicks back to the days of when he lived in Ibiza with a carefree summer track designed for daylight hours and provides a nice antidote to the heads down club tracks of the A-Side. Burnski is on remix duty and stamps his mark on the track by softening up the drums and adding his unique groove, letting the original elements hypnotically sing and dance with the new additions over a the funk of a typical Burnski bass line to create a master piece of remix. Hot!!

Voyeurhythm is slowly building a great catalogue of disco injected, soul driven house music. The new release doesnt break with the expectations... Ben Sun kicks off the EP with some glorious grass roots house vibes. After releases on Wolf Music and Under The Shade Melbournes Francis Inferno Orchestra's make their debut for VR with classy, lo-slung but urgent take on deep house. Legendary Australian DJ HMC joins in with some p-funk flavoured Starr Trax and last Tyson Ballard with some warm, spacious Sunday-vibe piece of house music that is 'My House'. Touched by the magic that is Linkwood for the mixdown, it's an infectious piece that draws a fitting end to a superb EP. Another great release on this cool label.

Finally Gerd's much anticipated No-Kicks-Re-Interpretation on Do You Feel Me drops! Gerd continues his run of effective dancefloor remixes. This has been one of his favourite Victor Simonelli tracks since the day it was released. This remix celebrates the 20th anniversary of this beautiful track.
