For the next of our adventures on the black stuff we hand the honours over to English gentleman Timmy P who turns out three proper house cuts with an authentically vintage feel.

Lead track All Night is as melodic as it is solid as Mr P works some amazingly upbeat synth work around some swinging drum programming. Creating a house gem with a definite nod to the Garage scene.

Direction comes over like a lost cut that was rescued from a dusty New Jersey basement and has instant classic written all over it.

Collectors goes dark and moody and provides a great contrast to the more soulful A side before Kastil cranks proceedings with his raw analogue workout which goes even darker, even heavier and hits just right for the peak time floor.

Proper deepness, melodic hooks, flourishes of Garage and dark raw house, this record encapsulates a lot of our favourite shades. Play on!

There is a saying in Spain 'the fifth is ever good' that 'Los Pastores' just made up with 'the nineth is ever good'. But, who cares In Arauz and Snna's fold it doesn't matter. There is no time to rest. There is no place for posers. This is a 'non stop dancing' scene. In this new EP called 'Thankyou Porvenir', which includes a track with the same name, 'Los Pastores' have shown off their strongest electronic character, leaving behind the sassy, cocky House to get to their deepest side. In the track that gives name to the EP, Thankyou Porvenir, they've discovered a sensitive side to their music that we didn't know yet, searching for an atmospheric background to connect with some beautiful but shy vocals. Just the right amount of salt and pepper. After the break, the track carries on with a firm and fat setup for the bassline, that mixes perfectly with the percussion, introduced at the second level. A graceful piece that is intimate and almost conversational. It invites one to close their eyes and dream, taking a laid-back journey into the deepest feelings that invade us. Thanks for taking the risk!

The british producer Luke Solomon wanted to add his own remix of 'Thankyou Porvenir' to the Oblack Collection. A remix that is gonna give more than one broken bone in the hip and pelvis. It is music strictly made to dance to, full of energy and showing the craziest side of House. A track where horns and whistles can be heard, even pixelated voices, with an insane 8beat path that gives to the song the exact amount of tasty flavour. No joke fellas! This is a kind of slam-dunk piece for Solomon.

The third track helping this EP to get even hotter is called 'Madness'. Loco amigo! It comes with a toxic groove, slowmo style that would easily mesmerize you. The melody line is so simple, yet so powerful, with an easy and playful structure. Even with the repetitive nature of this piece, it is amazing how you remain captured throughout the whole song. A propper BINGO!

'Floros cat' is the last track of the EP, by 'Los Pastores' with Miguel Lobo from Madrid. Finally, here is the techno. Here it comes, a kick thats stinks of Detroit. It's commanding in its message: This is techno and we need more bpms, more reverb and more distorsion. It's an almost poisoned track, especially when that addictive Detroit kick comes and goes. This is a serious banger that closes 'Thankyou Porvenir EP' (Oblack 009) which places 'Los Pastores' at the epicentre of the Spanish electronic scene. Nice cars and women should be indebted to artists like this. Los Pastores, gracias por venir.

On a dark and stormy night deep in the seedy underbelly of Berlin, Samanta Fox was walking the streets alone looking for something to ease her hunger for adventure.




She met a boy named Klaus who brought her to an old building full of strange people with shifty eyes who were rhythmically dancing and shaking their heads to a steady and powerful beat. These oddly dressed people all worshiped a god-like being who they all called Renate. In the midst of the crowd Samanta bumped into a man, a strong man who went by the name of Snuffo. He took her to a room full of smoke and broken televisions to show her something exciting. She said, 'What is this' Snuffo whispered to the fox, 'Girl, this is acid.' From there the night went sideways. Faces of the people in the crowd began to move in weird ways. The music consumed her mind. As the evening rolled on, she came across a bearded character who went by the name of Skatebård. He spoke in a foreign tongue that she strangely understood. Together they found their god Renate and slowly faded away into the cold Berlin night

Since it's beginnings in 2005, The Alfresco Disco story has enchanted many. With a combination a refined taste in house music and a spirit of adventure, Alfresco continues to create magic and excitement with each event. The launch of the Alfresco Disco Label will see a reflection of the story so far in its music releases. 'We want to treat our releases much like our parties: Each one will be unique and have it's own personality, attention to detail and a little of the unexpected. With this first release Alfresco Disco launch their label with a powerful statement.

Rising Bristol production team Forget Me Not deliver 3 tracks that ride a wave of Bristol-bass, steeped in a classic house sound road tested thoroughly at recent Alfresco parties. The lead track 'Only You' draws you in with modulating pads and haunting vocals underpinned by heavy sub bass. The mix of organic and urban sounds creates an atmosphere perfect for Alfresco's first release. On the flip they take the bumping classic house-meets-bass formula and apply it to 'Club Shaker'. This time with classic chords and chopped vocals, they make dance floor magic on this head summer tinged club banger.

Alfresco Disco co-founder Luke Turner aka Lukas remixes 'Only You' making the track a more sprawling, acid tinged journey, a bit darker than the original.

The vinyl of the release is truly one for the collectors. We commissioned long time friend and extended Alfresco Disco family member Daniel Hayman to produce 300 original limited edition screen prints, meaning the vinyl copies of AD001 are extra special.

The beats have an edge, the chords are not trying too hard, the composition is perfectly crafted to hit all the right spots.

Panther are a 2 piece from London who are releasing their debut release on Homage Records. This EP is a throwback to the filtered French house sound of the 90's, analogue synths and rolling bass lines gives this release an authentic sound.

Soul Print Recordings is proud to present their first ever vinyl release. 4 excellent deep tracks pressed on a slice of 12' black gold which features tracks by Fil Lavin & DJP, Petkovski & Akioki and reworks by the mighty Deep Space Orchestra and Liverpool based Andy Ash.
On the A side we find an infectious disco tainted classic deephouse groove called ''Hear Me'' by the likes of Fil Lavin & DJP. Excellent uplifting grooves which are smartly complimented by some subtle sample work. For the A2' Andy Ash is on remix duties. The rework contains a more nervous and elecronic vibe with flipped drums to a more contemporary electroish 80s vibe but still maintains the signature chord sounds of the original effort.
Label founder Petkovski opens the B side together with longtime label collaborator Akioki on their spiritual dancefloor smasher ''Think''. Again some catchy deep chords are subtly placed over balanced drums to uphold the moving vocal sample that lies on top.
The B2 brings us a Deep Space Orchestra rework of Petkovski and Akioki's ''think''.
Like you'd expect from the british duo, a more atmospheric yet staggering vibe has been created, focussing on the electronic bits of the original work a top notch DSO remix has been delivered which is perfect to close down an excellent and very balanced debut 12''.

Eric is definately swedens most interesting and skillful producer when it comes to underground deep house and soulful techno. Eric Ericksson released his first single in 96 with several releases since then on respected labels, both indie and major. At age 18, he released a single on Derrick May's label Fragile, alongside artists such as Carl Craig and Laurent Garnier. Later the same year he, as part of the duo Minimalisterna, released a full-length album on Virgin Records. In 2011 the EP Someone is Watching was released on Carl Craig's Planet E Communications. As co-founder of Kass Recordings he released the work of some of the top artists on the Swedish scene, such as Zoo Brazil and Style of Eye. In 2009 he formed North Beach together with Daniel Howe and since then they had three releases on Kant Recordings and played in well-respected venues in Europe. His latest 12" vinyl Love Cannot was released this summer on Freerange Recordings.
