With 'the lost Remixes Pt. 2 Deep Vibes Recordings continues to contribute to the love for vinyl: Three fine remixes, two previously released digitally through major house labels, are now available on black gold for the first time. Sascha Dive's trippy Remix of Silicon Soul and the pumping muscle-house remix of Roland Clark & Urban Soul are already worth every penny.. The round up this times comes by our man Woody. The old school Berlin producer, DJ and curator of the city's hottest dance floor (you know it) has been on our wish list for a long time and his remix for Sascha Dive put us under a spell right away.

The Lyon-based french label strikes again for its one year anniversary. In line with its characteristic sinuous way to explore the various side of the underground techno scene, the mysterious Clft Militia delivers this time a very functional and effective whack, with non other purpose than banging the dancefloors. Londonian newcomer Fundamental Interaction's debut EP offers two monster tunes of dark sounding retroesque techno. On the B side, Lee Holman's storming & percussive remix, as well as veteran legend Aubrey Saei's massive endarkement, finalize this release immaculately. A must have from the Messiahs to the Masses.

After dropping six 12's for Stilove4music, Jerome Derradji, makes his debut release on Still Music with Machine Jacked' an all analog acid techno hardware ode to Chicago & Detroit.
The A side, Wurk It', is pure Techno Funk, a kick drum ride of devastation. Acid Nothing' on the flip is straight acid filthiness featuring rare and profound spoken word.

Menacing beats by New York's DJ Spider are presented here in a double vinyl package. There is plenty of material here for dance floor damage as well as mental!!!

Santorini comes back on OUT-ER with a superb release! This EP is deeply oriented to house with broken beats patterns and techno infuences. The tracks are truly inspired from UK sounds, always preserving a dancefloor attitude thanks to their grooves and arrangements. They come from Santorini's solid dance attitude. His renowned ability to combine concrete and abstract together brings this EP to be on the top of Santorini's productions.

The two long time mates Thomas P. Heckmann and Gez Varley aka G-Man finally release their studio sessions they recorded over a short period of time in 2011.
Based mainly on live production and using funny and long obsolete instruments and samplers, they managed to throw their long history in music together for these fun sessions. The EP starts with the title track DRIVE INN, very minimal in the production and reduced to the main ingredients a great track needs and definitely to be experienced in a nice club with decent PA. This one also gets a very fine treatment by the Detroit duo AUX 88 as a Mad Scientist remix !
The flipside starts with the Chicago influenced BACKPACK tune, very Techno-House in it's appearance, but not to be mixed up with Tech-House ! Nice swirly and pushing FMed basslines carry this tune into the subconscious.
And we finish off this package with the trippy and dubby SIDEWINDER, a great builder with fancy and psychedelic effects and deepness...

Neue 12" von Bambounou, der französischen Waffe von 50 Weapons und einer der sich am schnellsten entwickelndsten Künstler des Labels, der mit kraftvoll-minimalistischen Techno/House/Bass-Produktionen und Remixes für Count & Sinden, Strip Steve, The Aikiu und Modeselektor bereits für Aufsehen gesorgt hat.

Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann has been picked to mix the next edition of Fabric's mix CD series, following efforts from Deetron, Maya Jane Coles and Jack Beats.

Fabric 77 finds Dettmann largely working with unreleased material from artists affiliated with his own Marcel Dettmann Recordings label, and this has informed the method in which the 19-track selection was put together, with the DJ and producer revealing in a press releases that he 'mixed it at home with 2 CD players, as most of the tracks are not available on vinyl yet. The mix is mostly based on unreleased MDR demo tracks, which I've carried around with me for the last few years.'

As a result the mix is a good primer for what to expect from Dettmann's label in the future, with Answer Code Request, Norman Nodge, Ilian Taper Dario Zenker and French producer Marcelus amongst the high-profile names contributing unreleased productions. Other notable inclusions include unreleased Dettmann reworks of Joey Anderson and Paperclip People, and the decision to close on Vril number 'Torus XXXII'.

B2 Detropolis M5 Central Station Mix is a more up-tempo beat excursion into a pro one pumped bass line. Showcasing Juan Atkins influence on tuckers career. Tuckers style is so well studio mastered but somehow Minimal beat oriented on this ep that it comes off as his unmistakable optic nerve style. You can almost hear the robotic voice on the futuristic rail system speaking ever so softly ìYou have reached the techno Mecca of downtown Detroit.

Nitejams 01 is here! The duo behind the fast rising production outfit 'Nummer' kick out four hardware jams under a new alias. Expect gritty house and pulsating techno, mixed with warping pads, valve saturated percussion and pounding kicks. A plethora of vintage gear skillfully operated and fed straight into the desk! An absolutely essential EP, primed and ready for the floor.

INIT is the musical incarnation of Rhein-Main based duo Nadia D'Alò and Benedikt Frey. Albeit heavy use of analogue synthesis and drum-machines, INIT rethinks it's genre's sonic approach, unfolding a unique and organic, yet alienating sound, somewhere in mysterious mids of acid, techno, ambient and kraut-rock. The result is a captivating sonic universe that reminds us of a more twisted, darker and techno take on the noir electro-pop sound from bands such as Chromatics or Glass Candy.

Their first EP for Hivern is comprised 'Talking About Talking' and 'Blackbird'. Both tracks are excellent doorways to their haunting vision. A sound full of contrasts, in which stinging textures create warm atmospheres, eerie vocals become captivating and tension is always sensual. The release also includes three dazzling remixes by C.P.I., Willie Burns and Cliff Lothar, each them giving new perspectives to the tracks without losing its original spirit. C.P.I. transform Talking About Talking into an acidic techno slow burner, reinforcing the rhythmic patterns and extending the sequences and vocals to give them an almost drone-like quality. Willie Burns gives Blackbird a candid twist by adding dreamy arpeggios, haze swishes and high-pitched vocals. In contrast, Cliff Lothar takes the same track towards much muddier realms by adding abrasive synths and pummelling drum-machines.

The 12' comes wrapped in artwork by german designer Michael Satter.

After a 12 year break the UK Techno label Solid Groove is back.
Kicking off with a collaboration with New York artist and Metroplex label manager Kimyon Huggins.


A1: Track one Sandy is a Detroit influenced track with noises recorded live by the man himself from hurricane sandy.
A2: Aubreys windy city remix is a more peacetime mix of the original with twists and turns and a dark groove throughout.
B1: Aubrey-Dust storm salsa, is a atmospheric journey with a hypnotic groove and has been tested at Panorama bar at peak time by various DJ's to great success.
B2: Kimyon's remix, taking a more dance floor feel with harder beats and driving metallic sounds.

After the trippy translations of the Helium Robot space trip called 'Jarza", Theo Parrish's second and very welcomed visit to Running Back is all new material - almost. 'Black Mist' in its extended version is just that: an extended take of the already released version on the rare-as-hens'-teeth 'Sketches' pack. Cut on 45, it's a hard punch in the gut. Techno-not-techno-house-not-house Parrish power. Previously unreleased and no less persuasive are 'Pop Off' and 'Wild Out". While the first one centers around an endless piano and sucks you into the corny, but magic of repetition, the second one sounds like a Theo Parrish demo for Dance Mania after he came back from listening to Lil Louis at the Bismark Pavilion. Mosh pit music. - 'Limited pressing in full printed sleeves".

The New Year starts with the welcome news that The Cosmologist returns with episode three of the Cosmology series.

Trip 1 started life as a tribute to 70's radical firebrand's The Last Poets and their 1977 clarion call to arms, 'It's a Trip'.

A loose and ever changing collective, the initial line up was formed on May 19,1968 to mark Malcolm X's birthday, having all met at East Wind, a Harlem based writers work shop.
They took their name from a revolutionary South African poet Keorapetse Kgositisile who rightly prophesized that the talking would soon give way to the persuasiveness of the gun.

Continuing that thought, civil rights for African Americans was very much the beat of The Last Poets; a cause they would champion and indeed, were not afraid to back up their mighty words with direct action.

However, the project was a long and laboured affair spanning many months, and try as they might, the original track just would not to be bent into shape for a modern dancefloor.

It simply refused to yield to the editing process, to the extent that it led to Laurie (the musical genius, rhythm section & orchestra behind The Cosmologist) labelling it a 'problem child.'

The message within that original 1978 track was so powerful and despite the advances made in racial parity in the ensuing decades, inequality remains stubbornly entrenched, leaving so much of the Last Poet's 35 year old sermon ringing as loud and true today as it did when it was first unleashed. In a Broken Britain that last year saw a massive rise in food banks on the one hand, whilst the other hand spent a staggering £6 billion at the Boxing day sales, 'the man' may have moved out of plain sight, but he is still running the same game.

In the end, following the purchase of a Roland SH 1000 (fans of Imagination will instantly recognize the bass synth that gave Body Talk & Illusion those killer hooks) it then led the track somewhere altogether unexpected. Sometimes, you just have to let go of an idea and the beats take over to decide upon the final destination.

The end result draws inspiration from' it's a Trip', where the faintest snatches of the vocal ghost in and out of the mix. From there, a slow and menacing chug builds into an epic journey that takes us to the very heart of Balearica that will we are sure, find favour amongst DJ's who opt for a more eclectic playlist .

As with any problem child, perseverance, patience and a lot of love helped Trip 1 to flourish, and to finally find its true voice.

Trip 2 is different beast altogether and can be traced back to the very dawn of the Cosmic movement, via Italian originator Daniele Baldelli. Mike Oldfield's Foreign Affair was a track he picked up on its 1983 release, as it fitted his hypnotic electronic sensibilities perfectly and many DJ's have since adopted it over the years as an ethereal end of night anthem.

As with all The Cosmologist reconstructions, the track is reworked so as to grace a contemporary setting, whilst retaining the essence of the original.

The influence of Jah Shaka hangs heavy in the air, with an authentic 70's style dub designed to rumble those speaker stacks. This is the sound of a popular holiday destination out of season and it warms the soul like late winter sunshine.

A limited, hand stamped 12" on crystal clear vinyl, this next piece in the Cosmology jigsaw will be let loose in spring, for those who know where to look...

Having re-emerged to great acclaim on Delsin in 2012 with an excellent album and EP offering, Manchester's Claro Intelecto is back once again. This time out, following the label re-releasing his debut EP Peace Of Mind, Claro is serving up four brand new tracks that fuse his usual deep, dubby house and techno stylings to swathes of lush ambiance and delicate sound design. First up is 'Remember', a mid-tempo track with thundering kicks and little malfunctioning machine noises floating in swathes of cavernous dub. Subtle rhythms emerge from the murk and tortured, ghoulish sounds imbue them with a real sense of paranoia. 'White Sun' is full of Claro Intelecto's usual smeared synth and weirdly atmospheric ambient sounds and only after two minutes does a slow, purposeful kick drum arrive, but even then you are rather left swirling and floating in his textural chambers than marching to a beat. 'A Nightmare Before Bedtime' is a melange of clipped and scary voices, grainy white noise gusts and heavy, lazy kick drums. Super slow and seriously moody, it's a perfectly unsettling track that is wholly befitting of its name. Finally, 'Blank CC' is the most direct thing here, where frazzled and serrated lines rip about above stormy synth seas. Prickly, ever more intense and full on non standard electronic sounds it's another of Claro Intelecto's abstract offerings that really arrests your attention.

Following Leitmotiv, the debut album of Berlins new dynamic duo Puresque, Tresor Records is proud to present a set of remixes of the albums main titles. Enrolled on remix duties are none other than The Black Dog, Cari Lekebusch, Terence Fixmer and Petar Dundov. An international selection, gathering some of the Techno scenes most talented players - all of whom have performed at Tresor, during Puresques monthly event Puresque im Keller over the last months.

These three tracks were recorded by Daze Maxim and Oliver Bondzio during the studiosession in 2003 for Oliver Bondzio's 'Straight outta D-Town' album which was released on Cocoon Recordings. Since music has no expiring date Oliver finally decided to release them.

After having successfully introduced their new limited serie, the Im in Love crew steps up with their next numbered and silk screen printed release. Limitation to 50 vinyls only! The two tracks come from - Get Serious', a musical project created by Francesco Vacca, Stefano Cibabene and Michele Quagliati in 2010. The three Italians first started making music in Genoa in 2006, later they managed to get a residency in Bologna until they moved to Berlin in 2010.Their vision of strong detroit and dub influenced techno perfectly fits to the labels work as these tracks do: On the A-Side we have some analogue drum madness combined with melodic strings and beautiful fast dub chords. Surely that is a late night club banger! The B-Side comes with a heavy kick, some cool hi-hats and a deep detroitish atmosphere, created to make you fade away!

Sect's third and final sampler for the It's All For You compilation ends on a bittersweet note, seeing the last release from Sect favourite Grovskopa, who has decided to retire following the closest of near death experiences. The A-Side features Lag's remix of his Sect classic "Atopic", reworking the lurching bass and broken-beat rhythms of the original into a hypnotic number with a fractured synth melody. The B-Side sees "2:69", a brittle yet powerful track with churning bass which recalls Drexciya's classically hard edged approach, combined with hazy orchestral sweeps - a fitting swansong for a great producer.

The Sub Squared label presents an EP by Kloke, a Melbourne based producer who captures the atmosphere and vibe of a variety of his native Britain's forms of electronic music without merely rehashing past genres: Jungle, Dubstep, Grime, Ambient and Techno are distilled into his original but familiar soundscapes. Kloke's back catalogue includes releases on Entrada, Granholme and Styles Upon Styles. On the first side the tracks are beat driven; two tracks with distorted drum machine at 120bpm providing the bones for reflective harmonic and melodic parts that are reminiscent of Jungle or Breakbeat Hardcore. The second side of the record is a mini album in itself; seventeen minutes of beatless music in three tracks. 'Ember' matches staccato rhythmic elements to thick lush pads, 'Yeman' employs a piano and cymbal sample over melancholy tones. The title track of the EP is a 10 minute medley of ambient music that ranges through moods of warmth, desolate electronic bleakness, unsettling menace and skin tingling nostalgia

Here comes the first release of the brand new label named Roze Balletten. The label's first offering is a various artist EP with tracks from Creme's Innershades, Belgium's Raw Sketches and Hotflush producer Locked Groove. Innershades opens the label's account with 'Volksverheffing', which is a classically inclined bit of house music with a prominent bassline that dances about with real elasticity. The kick drums are as weighty as Kerri Chandler's and the singing synths bring some Detroit futurism to the table in classy fashion. Raw Sketches, who also works as Ekleltiker and Tunguska, goes for a much slower, deeper, more purposeful vibe on his track 'Spilzucht'. It's one that wanders mysteriously on lumpy drums as sinewy synths perform acrobatics in its midst and will tie you in knots by the time its finished unfolding and evolving. Last but not least, Locked Groove comes hard with his firm techno workout. Machines go wild at the heart of it all and the ticking percussion is angry and insistent: it's somewhat freaked out and acid in the latter half, working both itself and listeners into a noir frenzy. This is affine record with which to kick off a new label and won that will surely put Roze Balletten on everyone's radar.

KLASSE WRECKS is more than happy to welcome Marco Bernardi to it's ranks, having passed the initiation test with flying colours and having made a strong impression on previous labels (Clone, Delsin, Rawax and Planet E being just a few), Marco brings forward the Spacejam EP for our listening pleasure. Spacejam is an EP of demented drums, fiddling electronics and refreshing originality, all tracks contained within feature the signature sound of a studio obsessive and capture the many inspirations and influences of the Scottish born DJ and Producer.

Application have selected some of their favourite artists o remix their album System Fork. Each artist selected heir favourite track and given the freedom to do what hey wanted with the track.

Generation Next has appeared on some of the Big Strick cuts like Alpha & Omega and Resivior Dogs. The 17 year old is the newest addition to the 7 Days Ent. camp and he brings his first self titled E.P. A four song masterpiece that is sure to move the dance floor.
