Be As One is once again showcasing the talents of a young and bright producer with a promising career ahead of him. Yotam Avni's unique approach to music didn't took long to be noticed and brought onboard by the Be As One crew. Yotam debuts on the Israeli label with an EP that reflects how he sees Techno: dark, raw, pumping, relentless with 'UR Sleeping' on the A side; emotional melodic, driving with the Detroit inspired 'Better Days' on the flipside. From the flat fields of Ohio to the concrete jungle of New York, Todd Sines' environments; real and virtual, have served as inspiration for his unique, hybrid sound. His post punk, industrial, and hip-hop upbringings, filtered through an obsession with analogue and early digital technology, resulted in stripped down electronic funk; before minimal was mnml - it was just effective. Through his techno band, Body Release, with key Ohio players Titonton Duvanté, Charles Noel (Archetyp) and Mike Szewczyk, they dabbled in early rave sounds before embarking on their own paths. Todd's introduction in early 1993 to Detroit's Carl Craig and Daniel Bell resulted in seminal releases with Peacefrog, Planet E and 7th City by year end. Catching the ear of Richie Hawtin, "boiling point" was featured on his debut mix CD in 1995 on Mixmag. Soon after, releases on Andy Vaz's Background Records and Titonton's own Residual brought his sound to house and techno aficionados worldwide. Since his move to New York in 2003, he's worked with a variety of other artists, including !!!, Death in Vegas, Liquid Liquid's Sal Principato and Apollo Heights; he's remixed Alexander Robotnick, Paul Randolph, Robert Owens, Moonstarr, Adam Marshall, Lanoiraude and more. With his new material with Natacha Labelle on Frankie, he pushes the boundaries of house music, and with the resurrection of his .xtrak alias on YORE, his return to jackin' minimal funk reminds people of where it all started. His new studio will yield another layer to his established track record, now forging new trajectories in post-punk, no-wave and experimental indie rock.

With a firm nod to the community, revered Techno aficionado, Roberto reveals the launch of his new record label, Fossil Archive and its first release 'Prolecanites Gurleyi'.

Now, as we hurtle inexorably towards the end of the year, a new kind of Techno is starting to emerge as the soundtrack for a generation and Fossil Archive has found itself at the forefront of this celebration.

"I come from a background where most releases were traditionally cut at 45rpm, with one track per side on a 12-inch record", says Roberto. "The music always sounded great, as it was mastered and cut to its highest potential. Increasingly these days there seems to be a trend where a lot of labels are squeezing a number of tracks on to each side of a 12-inch record. I want to go against that and make sure the music is presented in the purest way possible by cutting one track per side at 45rpm. The label will release primarily vinyl, although digital versions will also be available to purchase.'

Stripped of that cheery outlook that can characterise a pop song, 'Prolecanites Gurleyi' replaces it with a life-affirming rhythm, driving home a groove designed for those with an acute interest to intonation and audibility. The most observant will notice the subtleties and feel the tonal influence energise dance floors and hasten interest.

Another new face graces the halls of Soma's roster as American based Techno artist Jeff Derringer make a blistering debut with Panic. Jeff weighs in with 2 top-notch hypnotic Techno tracks and we also welcome a debut on Soma from the incomparable Mike Parker who whips up his usual storm of sound on his remix of title track Panic.

Not time is wasted as the EP open with all guns blazing. Staccato synth hooks loop out of control as buzzing percussion fuels the fire within this track. Bent out bass and sub aquatic pings keep this track rooted in the depths of unrelenting Techno.

Fellow American Mike Parker follows up Jeff's onslaught with his completely unique version of Techno. A solid 909 kick is warped beyond reality with looped out, frenzied synths that only Mike seems to be able to control. Percussive blips give rise to Mike's intentions within this remix as his keeps it dark, hypnotic and turbulent.

Panic Attack closes the EP with a little lighter edge as big chords permeate thunderous low end and dubbed out percussion. Building slowly, Jeff creates the perfect tension needed to deliver the goods and a subtle break in the flow gives rise to a devastatingly effective deep techno track.

Soma are proud to welcome an already well established artist to the roster and one that fits perfectly with the new drive of the label.

Two fresh new fast paced, dance floor, Dj friendly tracks from label cohorts Gareth Wild, Dax J and Chris Stanford. Remix work comes in the form of
a big room, atmospheric version of Moonraker by Berghain and Panorama Bar's Ryan Elliott as well as the 'Vengeance' remix of Engineers' Revenge from Mexico's Luis Flores.

Soma welcome in 2014 in style with a fantastic new single from Roberto Clementi backed by a more than stomping Par Grindvik rework of title track 'When You'. Clementi has had a successful start to his career as a Soma artist. His unique take on deep, melodic techno fused with aspects of electronica and dub has earned his a place as one of our top new artists of recent years. As we work toward the release of his debut album this summer, Robert brings 2 choice cuts from a bank of extremely well produced music.

Sweden's Par Grindvik opens up the EP as he brings us his take on Clementi's 'When You. Park is known for his old school techno and this remix is no different to his usual output of quality music. Deep and hypnotic Par strips Clementi's original down and builds it back up into a dance floor monster!

The original mix of 'When You' follows and is perfectly true to Clementi's style. Bouncing, rhythmic percussion set atop emotive and sweeping electronics yet still driving and designed for definite toe tapping. Splashes of vocoder enhanced speech make this track trip out even more and Roberto uses each element perfectly to allow the track to pulse and flow.

Lei rounds things off on a decidedly dubby/jazzy note. Broken and trippy beats give way to delicate percussion and deep sub bass, giving this track a fantastic groove. Roberto shows his grasp of melody perfectly and fluttering, jazzy keys spring to life offering a more contemplative mood. One of his great talents is being able to make tracks that slot nicely into the realms of pre and post clubbing and this fits that description to a tee.

With his debut album en route, Roberto gives us a quick glance into his vast musical talent creating unique moods from deep emotive music.

Weekend Circuit return for the second release of the year, this time welcoming London based debutee Rommek to the imprint, with two suitably noteworthy remixes to accompany the 12'. Delivering 2 cuts of his individual brand of weighty atmospheric Techno, Rommek's first ever EP, 'Thought Patterns' is a sign of promising things to come.

After stand out releases on Modularz and her own label Grey Report, Adriana Lopez is a noticeably welcome edition as she delivers a stripped down take on the title track. 'Thought Patterns' gets another deep interpretation from The Plant Worker on the flip, who's recent works haven't gone un-noticed.

Myles Serg. is a DJ, musician and recording artist who has released on a vast swathe of labels that as well as Metamorphic, also includes FEROX, Caduceus, Knotweed, Ilian Tape, Sweatshop, Night Drive Music, Thema, Pushmaster Disc and his own imprints (MS), RE(FORM), Space, (MS), and Dosed Recordings. He describes himself as a reclusive perfectionist', whose haunting production sound reflects influences from early Detroit and Chicago electronic music. But Myles has a style of his own that blurs the lines between techno and house. With his first introduction to techno back in the late 80's he has continued to nurture his love for electronic music by DJing and producing, while more recently he also teamed up with long time friend and mentor Donnell Knox (D-Knox from Sonic Mind) to create Såure Music Distribution.

Delsin are proud to present, Sides of Space, a collection of classic, lost and forgotten tracks from atmospheric techno producer D5. The 12 track, triple vinyl affair will land in November in both regular and limited edition forms. D5 has released a number of fine EPs on Delsin that date back to the turn of the millennium, as well as a fine full length in 2002 entitled 'Alien Artform'. The tracks on this new compilation have been chosen from old CDRs by label boss Marsel and truly reflect the artist formerly known as Dimensions 5's fine tradition of relaxing chilled out, Detroit influenced techno. His most classic track, 'Floatation Tank' (which was a standout from the 2005 Panet Delsin compilation) as well as all cuts from the sought after Neutrino EP, are included here, and still sound as good now as they ever did. In all there are seven previously released tracks as well as five brand new, never before heard cuts, and they all make for absorbing listening both in the club, on headphones or from the sofa.

The Headless Horsemans 'Legend' has now been born in the neighboring villages but there was one survivor on his third attack. That was a gentleman named Ancient Methods, who showed his courage and strength so the Horseman decided to let him live in return for his shield containing markings of times before his.

Following in the footsteps of Sawlin and Yan Cook last year, Ann Aimee has readied its next release. This one comes from UK tastemaker and Radio 1 presenter Mosca, and is his first release of the year after previous releases on labels like Martyn's 3024 and Hypercolour.
First up is 'It's Not What It Looks Like' - a hunched over, industrial tinged house groove with rattling percussion and a heavy kick drum. Fully of grainy textures and clanging machines, the whole thing is backlit with serene pads and smeared with deft synth patterns. 'Kneecap' is even more direct, with tiny little off kilter chords bringing a sense of paranoia to the barrelling beats and bristling percussion. It's muscular and heavy yet inviting, whilst final offering 'Press Up' is a beautifully swung bit of deep and atmospheric house - all the edges are nicely frayed and the whole thing is smoothed over with misty textures as the barrelled-up sense of funk grows more and more lively as things progress. It's been a while since we heard from Mosca, but this one sure was worth the wait.
As always with this lovingly crafted label, the EP comes with full cover artwork by Boris Tellegen.
