New Copenhagen, Denmark based imprint Inherent Futurism shines a light on an unsung gemstone from the Detroit Electro genre, Autobot-1000's '3 Dimension Of Space'. Inherent Futurism is a new label coming out of Copenhagen, Denmark and headed up by Morten Kamper, a staple in the Danish electronic music scene who's been involved in it for more than 30 years and nowadays is running the 313vinyl_collective record store in the capital.

Inherent Futurism will focus on a blend of unearthed old records and new material with no real boundaries, just a focus on quality electronic music in all forms with an inclination towards Techno and Electro. To inaugurate the label, Morten will release Autobot-1000's debut album on vinyl for the first time, the project was only out on CD and released in 2001 on Hoodwink Records from North Carolina, US. Run by James B. Boggs who also was executive producer on the album.

Across the '3 Dimensions Of Space' LP, Autobot-1000 treats us to an array of classic Detroit Techno and Electro cuts, fusing an amalgamation of crisp analogue drums, intricately intertwined synth strings, squelchy acid licks and arpeggios alongside silky snaking bass grooves, twinkling chimes and vocoder vocal lines. The entire project embraces and encapsulates the futuristic, spaced out aesthetic synonymous with the Electro sound of its it's time and place, namely Detroit at the turn of the millennium.

In the meantime hang on in there for the deep cinematic joyride that is Synaptic Sugar and Gentle Hell, 2 epic fantasy trax with increasing tension. A spiritual sort of thing, written and produced by drummer and curator Andres Lõo from Tallin, Estonia...it could be Detroit.

Detroit based producer & DJ 2lanes is happy to announce the evolution of his digital label ‘AUTO SHOP’ into the physical world with its first release; a new alias called OVERTONE SERIES. A collaborative project between 2lanes and fellow Detroiter Jonah Baseball, recorded over many sessions during early lockdown.

The "Shuffle Shack EP" has 4 tracks that span psychedelic deep house, dance floor stomping soul, and rejuvenating sunrise downtempo moments. The record also features performances from Jonah’s father David Gray, Los Angeles based singer Jia Pet and Ji Hoon - who was featured on the B-side “Impish Desires” on 2lanes breakthrough record on Portage Garage Sounds.

Surrealism is more than an artistic style - it is an artistic
movement. In this sense, Lydia's third OAM was created
during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic. Lydia adapts her
own surrealism, which is re§ected in the artistic language
with the cover symbolized by the Las Pozas and the tracks
Excile and Uncontrol on the vinyl. She musically explains the
inner con§ict between rational choices and wild reverie in a
di¨cult time. Ben Sims rounds out the theme. Giving Lydia
another supporter from her personal favorite producer's box
for OAM.

Altered Circuits' next release comes by way of Bologna-to-Berlin transplant Jacopo Latini. On the Motherboard EP he combines stubby drums and sultry, efficient basslines with richly hued synth work. Once the cuts get going, a tapestry of melody reveals itself: gated leads are accompanied by burbling arpeggios, momentous chord progressions and bright pads that crawl in and out. The patches often incline to the bright and dreamy but are deployed with restraint; in the same vein, concealed and aloof vocal samples get sprinkled in. These techniques - staples for the artist - add an inscrutable quality to his work's mood. It is dance music that feels direct on the surface yet hides more ambiguous emotions underneath. Being a DJ was Latini's first approach to the electronic genres, and it arguably still is his main inspiration - it even occurs he writes tracks with a specific venue in mind. Since starting over a decade ago, and having meanwhile swapped the local Italian stages for the international ones, he has amassed a ton of analogue gear to help him do so. On this occasion, he plugged in his Roland D-50, Moog Sub 37 and microKorg XL, among other favorites, to take on progressive, trance and tech house. "Motherboard", "High Voltage", "It Comes In The Morning", and "Dual Effect" make for a diverse selection but have indeed the same objective: the club floor.

Fresh off his explosive Boiler Room performance in Liverpool, the dust is yet to settle from the electronic eruptions caused by GTOWN head-honcho and energy inducer, KETTAMA. Namely, the damage caused by his latest armoured artillery; ‘GTOWN004’, a radioactive EP with devastatingly euphoric consequences.

‘Samba Soccer 2001’ is the track that opens the door to ‘GTOWN004’, as we’re welcomed by an anonymous voice that insults the listener; a perfect introduction to a project that is wildly unapologetic in its character, and utterly ruthless in its delivery. Released as the first single from the ‘GTOWN004’ EP, ‘Samba Soccer 2001’ has already been greatly received by the GTOWN faithful, and sets the tone for what is arguably KETTAMA’s most complete, and anticipated project yet.

The EP starts as it means to go on, as KETTAMA drops another bombshell with ‘Blitz Zuruck.’ With a euphoric soundscape which the producer partners with a punishing bassline, this track is deeply nostalgic, embodying a time-capsule in the thick of a modern rave-renaissance. Further elements of revamped rave-nostalgia are seen in ‘Slaap Lekker’, before we’re taken deep into the belly of the Galway beast with the atomic ‘GTOWN IN EFFEKT’, and finally killed off with the ‘Rock Da Cliffe Mix’ of ‘Blitz Zuruck.’

‘GTOWN004’ features an ungodly blend of sounds, and in the process, creates an atmosphere that is both ecstatic enough for heaven, and sinister enough for hell. Purpose built for dance-floor destruction, KETTAMA’s infusion of stomach-churning bass, hypnagogic synthesisers, soulful vocals and contagious drum patterns result in an utterly pure, addictive sound.

From Galway to Vienna, Liverpool to New York, the track will be road tested amongst an armoured artillery of records, with dance-floor devastation an inevitable outcome. With his name boldly imprinted on the lineups for the likes of AVA Festival in Belfast, CRSSD in Miami, 121 Festival in New Zealand and Terminal V Festival in Edinburgh, KETTAMA’s worldwide domination of sound-systems continues.

Our first release of 2021 and hopefully the beginning of changes.

First ever production Fred P and Cassy have done together on Cassy's label Kwench Records remixed by Steve Rachmad who turned in two masterfully remixed tracks that present Steve's very deep and soulful side as a producer.

Juan Atkin's masterpiece compilation, the blueprint of Techno albums.... the 1993 Model 500 'Classics' compilation with some of Juan Atkins' biggest early Metroplex milestones, with some of them in exclusive remixed versions. 3 decades later Metroplex is re-releasing this collection of hugely influential tracks for a new generation to play from fresh and clean vinyl!. Just like the recent 12" reissue series, this album has been fully remastered with all the care and attention to detail you can imagine. Timmo is a new name to Drumcode and one in which they hope to be seeing more of. Having released tracks on Fone, BluFin, Octopus and Alleanza to name a few, Timmo's production career is set to shine as his new material is getting noticed from the likes of Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, Richie Hawtin, Nicole Moudaber, Len Faki, Dustin Zahn to name a few. Also launching his own highly revered radio show called 'Big Room' which,has had guests such as Robert Babicz, Umek, Fergie, Alan Fitzpatrick and many more,Timmo is a name to look out for in 2014.

Timmo's debut Drumcode release 'We Beat On' carries a flow through out that gives Timmo his own unique sound that has captured the ears of many highly revered techno DJ's around the world. Timmo uses hypnotic sounds and phrases whilst he always maintains a thumping techno beat that underlies all the tracks within this EP to maximum effect. Furthermore, there is a ghostly feel amongst Timmo's tracks that really provide him with his acquired sound, the pads in 'Canvas' are a beautiful reminder of this. Timmo also uses strong synth stabs to full effect that juxtapose against the drums to help create the tension and aggression that is present within techno.

SORA will focus on the likes of deeper, electronic, soundscape compositions; Think more in genres of Joaquin's' widely acclaimed, but now paused Natural Resource, which is the sister label to Spiritual Life Music from back in the mid-nineties to early 2000's.

Subtle Light provides some organic deepness of which leans more so towards Joaquin's traditional afro Latin influences infused with what we like to call Cosmic Art Trance Music. It is spiritual dance music that up lifting and as usual unique in presentation.

Peekaboo Is see You is a deep tech composition that Joaquin has been playing out for quite some time now. Exposed to enthusiastic audiences across the globe, it is a deep bass tech track that is in high demand. We are very excited that finally it will finally see the light of day, all the while spinning on countless turntables globally.

Joseph Sardashti is a producer residing in Detroit that hails from a musically minded family in a small town in Oklahoma. His sonic foundation was formed in learning classical violin and listening to Santana as a child. Sardashti became obsessed early on with the raw sounds of funk and hip hop, which is clear in his initial productions. Following his relocation to Detroit in 2016, his music made a reciprocal shift to darker, faster, dance-focused rhythms. He makes his tracks live--every recording a performance of its own. Sard throws the monthly Tunnel Visions party in Windsor, which focuses on featuring Detroit and Canadian talents for an evening of weeknight dance and expression. Sard relieves stress daily by making and mixing music. “Meshed” highlights Sard’s smart wit and empathy, his darker as well as brighter moods. It’s punishing as well as uplifting. Broken up loosely into a darker and a brighter side, Sard lays out his dynamic style for those who like their dance-floor to take them everywhere. This is for those who are not afraid to embrace both their ugliness and radiance.

Underground Resistance member James Pennington aka Suburban Knight has his first night strike on EPM with Winds of Fear.

Pennington is known for being one of the producers behind the Inner City hit single "Big Fun", as well as his own solo productions for Transmat with "The Art of Stalking" and numerous tracks on U.R, most notably the 'Nocturbulous Behavior' & 'By Night' EPs.

Fellow past U.R members and Detroit legends in their own right Robert Hood & Eddie Fowlkes step up to edit this masterpiece.

Detroit’s Filthiest presents Oddly Satisfying, a collection of ghettotech, electro, and techno tracks never released on vinyl before. This collection showcases why he is the king of kings in the underground scene. Imitated but never duplicated.

With Floorplan, Robert Hood blends techno elements with disco, house and soul to create a real party vibe. He first introduced it in the mid 90s with 'Funky Souls', originally on his own Drama sub-label but re-released last year. While more recently his 'Move It' track as Floorplan was a major highlight on EPM Music's 10th anniversary compilation, 'EPM10'

Floorplan, the father-daughter duo of Robert and Lyric Hood return with their first new productions since last summer's triumphant 'Victorious' album.
The new EP, which will be released on 12" vinyl and as digital download in June features two new tracks, which they have been road-testing at recent gigs and featured on their EPM podcast. The stripped-back 'Let The Church' straddles the realm between tough House and raw Techno with its hefty bassline, infectious claps and vocal cry, while 'Made Up In My Mind' focuses on a looped piano refrain and funked-up drumwork under a joyous gospel vocal, mixed down like only Floorplan can.

Also included is an hypnotic Robert Hood remix of 'He Can Save You' from 'Victorious', before Lyric Hood turns her hand to the future classic, 'Never Grow Old' for a deep mix that shows her love of House grooves and recently closed their BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix in May.

This summer they will also be bringing their new live set to Europe, alongside the high energy and spiritually uplifting DJ sets synonymous with Floorplan.

Rekids serves up more scintillating techno this autumn with scene mainstay Marco Faraone making his return. The Italian artist has long been releasing on the biggest labels of the day, whether that’s Drumcode and Ovum, or his own label UNCAGE. Often favouring big, powerful tracks distilled to their essence, Faraone is never far from a headline set at the world’s leading festivals, clubs and is considered as a core part of the modern techno landscape.
Big, cantering drums define opener ‘Don’t Need You’, the track’s title is repeated over and over like a mind melting mantra and you cannot fail to fall under its spell. The epic ‘Hardgroove Community’ follows with a wall of techno drum programming that will blow away even the largest crowds: razor sharp hi-hats, super charged bass and fist pumping vocal stabs are all effectively deployed to make this one pop. On the flip ‘Survive’ is a darker cut with sleek and futuristic synths depicting some derelict urbanwasteland. Finally, ‘Not A Crime’ layers up dusty breakbeats and rattling dub chords with big female yelps into something all-consuming and brilliantly rib rattling.

Deep88 is back with a 4-track EP on the futuristic side of techno and house. Or on the old? Both? Whatever, just have a listen.

'The Moon Dance' Mark's the come back of one of Chi Towns most innovative and iconic figures to Apnea Records. Jamal Moss (Hieroglyphic Being) sound's were first released on Apnea in 2007. Now, in 2023, he's back with this double 12'' album flooded with synth jazz and cosmic acid explorations in his signature and irreverent style.

Rekids Special Projects, the no-nonsense techno-focussed sub-label of Radio Slave, aka Matt Edwards’ Rekids, launched in 2017 releases a 4-track vinyl sampler from the recent compilation RSPX presents Actualize Pt.1. Featuring absolute barnstormers from Mark Broom, Dustin Zahn & Marcal, Klint and Hemka. Watch yer Bass bins.. I’m telling ya!

Quickly they earned a reputation as a must-attend event series without losing its underground credibility.
