On the A-side, the delectable Solk clearly proves that the exact midway point between Mostar and Malmo is in fact Chicago. Meanwhile, Inter gritty takes you back to mid-90s Stockholm with a viciously pounding remix. The closing track Loksyra is quite simply the perfect marriage between onions, knives and a 303.

Ep1

INNER SURFACE MUSIC
27.05.2013

***yellow vinyl pressing***
Great new Inner Surface compilation featuring key UK artists... On the A side Truss is first up with a raw acid techno workout with brutal
distorted 909 drums and 303 acid riffs that transcend around you like sonic radiation. AnD then move us into complex drum rhythms
with a distorted broken techno track, layered with industrial textures and menacing bleep melodies to tear apart any sound system.

On The B side Ascion takes us on a psychedelic trip with a groovy techno track, built around off kilter drum patterns and old school
melodies built on modular synths. Sunil Sharpe finishes proceedings with a techno track built around booming kick drums and raw
percussive elements. 303 acid lines weave delicate textures throughout the track building to the crescendo of the raw and ravey synth
line that engraves itself into your mind.

Sanys - Deadly Poison

'Deadly Poison' is the fourth installment of St Petersburg-based producer Sanys on discerning Downfall Theory series. Retaining to the A/B format and treading a heady, analogue-hued line with releases thus far on predecessors 'Control Freak / Event Horizon', 'Forward Thinking Logic' and 'Daily Situation'—which supported a stunning rework from Chicago-based, Detroit-born producer Alex Israel, 'Deadly Poison' continues to march on in gritty, idiosyncratic fashion only this time fractioning off and multiplying into four distinct, yet symbiotic floor workouts. On the A-side 'Hired Guns' kicks off with no-holds barred, full-on weighty bass weaponry before 'Grab Them Back In' reins things in, just a little: A dystopic soundtrack full of clanging machines rung through with the filmy dread of a waning humanity. On the B-side concern continues in 'Plain Rude' as distorted vocals are twisted into evil barks and plied with itchy hats to warning chimes and a bounding bassline in this weird and wonky builder. 'Down And Dirty' then concludes—as the title suggests—in deep, raw analogue terrain. Having already caught the attention of people like Blawan, Rivet and Brendon Moeller, 'Deadly Poison' consolidates Sanys skills as a one to watch maker of provocative, sensitive and fiercely independent dance music.

Perseus Traxx - Tales From The Night Sky

fter his excellent and well-received Coded Emotion EP on the MOS label in late 2011, analogue fetishist Perseus Traxx returns for another MOS outing...

It finds the producer in similarly classic mode, exploring the deep down depths of house and techno in his own fuzzy and hugely atmospheric way. 'Gorgon' has widescreen synths, tightly coiled synth lines and jagged beats all tussling with each other, whilst 'Poseidon's Monster' is about chattering claps hanging above a synth line that twists and turns, implodes and explodes at whim. It's focused and forceful at the same time as sounding some how human.
On the flip, 'Return To Seriphos' is another dense soundscape, but one that invites you into its core thanks to the freeform analogue lines, contrast of rough with smooth and generally classy Chicago vibes. 'Stranger Shores' is less troubled and more reflective with bright melodic chords glowing from the centre of the track as warbling, swollen sub undulates all around them. This is music for dancing to, but also music in which to lose your mind as you travel a world away from here: textbook MOS.

Cari Lekebusch - Svett Ep

Sweat, also known as perspiration, transpiration or diaphoresis, is a product of mixing H2O with various solid chemicals such as chlorides and is mainly produced by glands located in the skin of mammals. It consists further of chemicals such as 2-methylphenol (o-cresol) and 4-methylphenol (p-cresol), as well as a small amount of urea. The sweat works as a thermoregulating mechanism, cooling the body from dangerous overheating, wich could result in body malfunction. It has also been reported that components inside the male perspiration would aslo work as a so called "chick-magnet". Sweat can be found in a wide variety of mammals, all though it is shown that only humans and horses produce large amounts of this chemical soup as a part of its cooling system and primarly by glands under the armpits.

Studies has shown that men start their perspiration faster than women when exercising under the same relative intensity. If this proves the theory that men use their sweat as a tool for luring women into their bedrooms is yet to be shown. Speaking against the theory, would be the fact that most sweaty men smells bad. When sweat occurs, the bacteria residing on the skin, feeds of the chemicals and as a biproduct, a smelly odor is produced. Keeping in mind that sweat also is produced during states of nervousness, it is implied that sweaty dancing men fearing an embarrasing defeat after a displaying their shortcommings as part of the mating rituals, still enjoys a better chance of intercourse if the target female is exposed to the sweat odor. No study showed if the same case stands true for homosexuals.

Samuel L Session: hard to pick a fav here, they are all good. bring it on!

Sleeparchive - A Man Dies In The Street Part 1

*After spending five years stealthy developing the project through a series of bi-annual and hand- stamped set of releases, eked via his eponymous imprint, in 2011 Sleeparchive joined Tresor with 'Ronan Point'—an EP of tracks constructed directly from material from Semsroth's live set. Now comes more fresh works from the master of haunting, compelling minimalism in this first instalment of a two-part EP for the label.
*Taking its title from one of Brassaï's famous sequence of prints, 'A Man Dies In The Street Pt.1' translates the eight snapshots of a man collapsing on a Parisian sidewalk (captured by Brassaï in 1932) into a chilling storyboard of subtle fluctuations, ebbs and monochrome tones. As ever the genius is in the reductive palette, that here Semsroth paints into a rich splay of emotions mimicking the initial anxious discovery of the body, the curiosity of the gathering crowd, the excitement and building anticipation through to an aggressive and pummelling sense of realisation on the close. But is it at the loss of life, or the loss of spectacle As Brassaï toys with ambiguity in his photographs, Sleeparchive's music is just as hazy, deep and full of shady nuances that, like treasure, only appear if you're willing to keep probing.

Mathew Anderson, Naturebot, Gunnar Lockwood - Knightriders 2012 Remixers

KR001v is wildly diverse techno showcasing KRecordings artists,
remixed by a few of our favorite heroes,
than put to wax.

Side A: Angel Alanis reworks Mathew Anderson's "Wrist" track by taking
it from the big
room to the warehouse with Mat's question
"Are you listening" becoming a declarative statement.
214 aka J. Alvarez' s "Tulum" is remixed by long time NYC producer
Elliot Taub aka Ulysses and 1/2 of the Neurotic Drum Band with John
Selway. Ulysses takes the Jamaican dub influence to Italy for some
Italio-disco lessons.

Side B: opens with Seattle's own RyanMath remixing Naturebot's "Baby,
I'm taking you back" which reels back a bit with 4 to the floor
sensibility.
Last, but never least, Gunnar Lockwood's "Abrader" remixed by
Bangkok's own Mix Architekt adds a woozy groove and sonic atmospherics.

Amit - Acid Trip

Acid Trip

12inchTEMPA073
Tempa Recordings
27.03.2013

AMIT's debut release on Tempa — 'Acid Trip' — finds the UK-based producer/composer turning his hand towards two dark and deadly dubstep tracks.

'Acid Trip' has been a regular weapon in Youngsta's record bag for some time now,  and it's as confounding and intensely psychedelic as its name suggests - driven along by bounding,  Middle Eastern-influenced percussion,  grinding sub-bass and the gritty shrieks of a 303 acid line. 'Don't Forget Your Roots' nods toward its title: a skanking,  dub-infused and meditative flipside to 'Acid Trip's total freakout,  accompanied by half-sung,  half-whispered vocals from Rani.

AMIT is something of a veteran in UK electronic music,  having been releasing tracks since 2002 via labels such as Commercial Suicide,  Metalheadz and dBridge's Exit Records. He initially became renowned for his stripped back and rolling takes on drum & bass,  which melded harsh and aggressive textures with a spacious and very fluid approach to rhythm. He has released two full-length albums through Commercial Suicide,  and has also composed soundtracks for film and theatre. These two tracks on his Acid Trip 12" show off aspects of AMIT's musical personality that have run throughout his career: by turns ferocious, grounded and holistic.

First of two new bassheavy techno-ish dub EP's by Mystica Tribe. Four tracks of excellent electronic dub with heavy techno and acid influences. Although only his second release after his debut in 2011 with ''Meditation Stick'' the Japanese Mystica Tribe already delivers a powerful trademark sound: loose, shuffling beats, layered with heavy basses, tribal percussion and trippy elements, like the dark acid tale on titletrack ''Flowers'' and the classic melodica stabs on ''Fractale'' and ''Moon & Stone''. Tokyo Dub at it's best.

Skream - Skreamizm' Vol. 7'

- Lead track features platinum-selling artist Kelis, and has received excellent blog coverage to date
- Pseudovideo has 30,000 plays since its world exclusive play on Skream's recent Rinse FM show
- Exclusive stream of Copy Cat and Sticky on Skream's Soundcloud generates 36,000 plays in 24 hours
- Release date of Friday 21st December - date marketed to his key dancefloor/club-goer audience
- Impact date in Jan 2013 for 'Copy Cat' - to be supported by music video, radio plugging, wider press etc

The seventh volume of Skream's seminal Skreamizm series sees the producer not only expanding his range dramatically, but inviting a true global popstar along for the ride as well. 'Copy Cat', the lead track from this latest installment, features a near-whispered vocal by Kelis over a sensual and minimal fusion of R&B and house, driven by an anxious and bounding groove that ensures the track will remain firmly lodged within the brain upon listening.

Elsewhere, Skream takes much the same attitude he took with his recent Skreamizm tour - a means of exploring broader avenues while still remaining connected to the essence of his sound. 'Vacillate' and 'Inhumane' are both immediately recognisable as Skream's own, pairing roaring metallic dissonance with welts of sub-bass, and the deep halfstep of 'Junkyard Dispute' and 'Scrooge's Revenge' stretch back to the dread pressure of early dubstep.

Along with 'Copy Cat', 'Sticky' is another curveball that forms strong links with the techno/house driven sets he's been playing recently, and is one of the most restless and driving things he's ever put his name to. Both are potent reminders of Skream's versatility as a producer, and add up to his most varied and exploratory Skreamizm to date.

Ambitus is ready to get vinyled. Finally Aconite's latest production is now available on vinyl. The label Mittel Zum Zweck comes up with the complete remix package - from Hardfloor to Michel Laro via Dominik Schwarz. It's an explosive mixture between techno, acid and house.

It's the unstoppable force and versatility of Ambitus that finally lead to a release on vinyl. It's Aconite's first vinyl release on Mittel Zum Zweck. In addition to his own straightforward, melodic original mix he carefully chose the remixers to refine the whole bundle. First of all it's the opening remix by Hardfloor that gives Ambitus a distinctive touch. They took the main theme and combined it with exciting acid lines and groovy beats to create a real club smasher. On the b-side Dominik Schwarz welcomes the listener with a mixture between acid, techno and hardtrance. He combined hard beats with striking melody parts and ratty acid lines. After this bundle of energy Michel Laro rounds up the package with deep beats, discreet details and a powerful dose of house music. Ambitus captivates with its impressive variety, that lets it match to almost every opportunity.

The Black Dog - The Return Ov Bleep

We know what you're thinking and you're probably wrong." tBd 2013 Being from and working in Sheffield you quickly learn not to worry what anyone else is thinking or doing and just get on with what you want to do, it's what artist's should do. That's not to say there isn't a community here, there is but it all works at a comfortable distance from each other, small pockets of talent all across the city, tiny satellites sending out their signal. It's always been about the bass! Starting the Electronic Supper Club with friends came out of nothing more than a vibe for the City, to create a canvas for us all to paint on in equal measure, it's from this work that this EP was born, it really connected us back into the City. It was and is our way to connect to past/present/future, while others may be dreaming of time travel and jet packs we accept that the future is much darker and more brutal. Welcome To SoYo

Automatic Tasty - The Joys Of Departure Ep

After some great records on Lunar Disko, Ireland's Automatic Tasty now arrives on Photic Fields. With this piece the label continues its way to put out deep emotion-drenched electronic music. Inspired by his beloved nature near his hometown, especially the Sugar Loaf, Tasty produced these introspective tracks. Pure analogue works, with beautiful chords and melodies. Although his influences are noticeable, AT has developed a sound that is completely his own, giving no attention to trends, ever-copying artists or useless genre-indications. This is not a man from the big city, but from some quiet place in Eastern Ireland. This EP includes four recent works by AT, and shows the variety of his productions. Recommended for Aphex Twin-fans, and even though that category is already pretty large, it's in fact recommended for everyone who likes their music melancholic yet uplifting.
