End Of Dayz Records was created in this year of changes, the end of an era, the beginning of other times.. That's what we hope. This new label is owned by a Discos Paradiso crew member, Dj Bruce Lee. After 15 years in the underground scene in Barcelona, he has decided to create this platform.
Here End of Dayz show an original track and two remixes. The concept of the label is techno. Ro! opens with particular techno, referring to a sound reminiscent to the real essence of the 90's. The remix of Aiken (Semantica, M_Rec LTD) is definitely a modern twist and without a moment of breath. NX1 (NX1, Semantica) surprises us with a Old School version dominated by the TB-303; very aggressive. Just the beginning of the End Of Dayz ..!

Perc Trax's Welsh born, London based acid wizard Truss returns after the success of his recent releases on Sigha's Our Circula Sound imprint and his remix (in collaboration with Sigha) of Perc's own 'You Saw Me'.

'Ganymede is Truss' first Perc Trax outing since 'Osbasten' back in summer 2010 and from the outset demonstrates how far his sound has progressed. Fusing the attitude of classic early R&S with modern techno, he layers razor sharp hoover stabs over a heavily swung, bass-laden groove to unique effect.

Remixes come from fast-rising Semantica/Horizontal Ground producer Skirt and label boss Perc. The former deepens the track, adding more atmospherics over the original's broken beat kick, whilst Perc sharpens up the hoover stabs even more and adds layer upon layer of his trademark junkyard percussion.

Rounding off the EP is 'Hackney', a 4/4 jackin' acid stomper, with a sound that is at the forefront of the current UK renaissance in stripped down, in-yer-face techno.

Following up on his guest appearance remixing 'Subsequent' on EPISODES01, Hakim Murphy resurfaces from the abyss exploring a sub-aquatic palette of sounds for EPISODES02. This 4-track EP strips back his sound further while stepping up the funk.

After the release of drmcnt's 'gangsigns ep' (the label's sold out first release) comes release number two in the shape of acidliner's 'funkhouse'. We found this on a drmcnt mixtape. He doesn't know who the artist is or where it came from and we have had little if no contact with them whatsoever. Just enough to get their permission to release it.
'Funkhouse' quite simply rolls. A pure acid house burner. It's not house, it's not techno, it's not bass - it's a roller. It combines all these styles with ease. No glitz or glamour - just pure electronic funk. Simply devastating.
'White Science' on the flip dips the 303 into a more aquatic electro affair. Hats sizzle, claps jump in and out while the acid line weaves it's way round some serious 808 action. It's a mover for sure and a perfect partner to the all out groove of the a side.

Ken Karter with this label is meant to represent the start of an expression which itself collects the sounds and the processing of electronic and experimental music with many influences of techno music. The tracks follow a numbering 01 / 02 / 03 / 04 numerically representing the steps related to a concept that will be detailed during the releases that comes from the study of issues and numerical programming and a passion for "hidden writing" known for years as : encryption.
