Davide Carbone is an Acid Dark Industrial Techno artist whose latest vinyl EP— put out by Freitag's new Acid Techno focus sublabel on vinyls, Freitag Dots— is a decadent dish served up with acid dub elements, deep drones, industrial influences and found sounds so raw , you can feel them happening beside you. The track titles manifest a gentle mockery of organized religion: 'Each title is a way to jeer at things I think are ridiculous about human society,' says David.

'The title of the EP refers to the malicidium, a practice used by the church in the middle ages for justifying the killing of the enemies of the church by accusing them of witchcraft. We really haven't moved beyond that; those in power are able to change the rules, and most of what we think we know is actually fake.'

So what inspires these rich, distorted tracks, deliciously garnished with industrial, sci-fi, and raw 'found' sounds

'I love listening to music that inspires me to do something different. I like to make distorted music because of my influences. Lately more people have been producing clear music, but my view of doing music is to make noise and create damage in the brain with powerful bass that you can feel inside yourself when you're in the club. I don't like to follow trends. I do music to make me feel good when I'm dancing.'

Carbone's favourite book is The Art of Noise by Luigi Russolo, a futurist musician and poet, born in 1883: 'In my opinion he was the true forerunner of the music I do now.'

The label has announced that the artist/s behind these acid pieces are currently unidentified, but we might find out who he/she/they are when the digital release of this is announced...one day. Shipwrec proudly present one of the pioneers of Dutch electronics. For some twenty years Vincent Koreman has been honing his sound, releasing on a plethora of labels such as Bunker, KK, Viewlexx, Mighty Robot Recordings and his own Angelmaker Records. Under the mask of Drvg Cvltvre brutish 303 soaked anger is being doled out. An Acid washed Industrial wrath comes in the form of American Psychosis (Part one). "Acid Flash" sees a new collaboration with Bournmouth's Chris Moss Acid for a burning piece of aggression. Violent knob squawk is further punished by bullying beats, cruel claps and some late night horror. "I'll Wear Your Face On A Chain" has the same red mist behind the eyes. Shrill 303 chords run into abrasive drums with darkened vocals prophesising pain. Orwellian electronics : "If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face." The vinyl comes in a printed discosleeve with drawings by Rutger Termohlen. "Part two" will have an outer sleeve to contain both records and another 3 drawings to complete "American Psychosis", including locked grooves on all sides!

A side brings a long 158 BPM acid Hardcore downtempo kicker, with a loud Hangar ambiance. B-side opens on an olschool speed trancecore, very Goa in its acid waves and very Hard Techno core in da kick. Final tune is a superb sub-bassy 185 BPM killer,a solid mentalcore kicker !

Superb acid EP, opening on a regular one side long 163 BPM mental acid tune, very in the spirit of mister Curley. Then comes a 130 BPM slow techno mental acid track... Groove is there... and acid scares comes and go like a mercure in a bottle... Last tarck brings more speed, 167 BPM growing metal mental acid... Superb autorpoduction from these newcomers !

Here comes the first release of the brand new label named Roze Balletten. The label's first offering is a various artist EP with tracks from Creme's Innershades, Belgium's Raw Sketches and Hotflush producer Locked Groove. Innershades opens the label's account with 'Volksverheffing', which is a classically inclined bit of house music with a prominent bassline that dances about with real elasticity. The kick drums are as weighty as Kerri Chandler's and the singing synths bring some Detroit futurism to the table in classy fashion. Raw Sketches, who also works as Ekleltiker and Tunguska, goes for a much slower, deeper, more purposeful vibe on his track 'Spilzucht'. It's one that wanders mysteriously on lumpy drums as sinewy synths perform acrobatics in its midst and will tie you in knots by the time its finished unfolding and evolving. Last but not least, Locked Groove comes hard with his firm techno workout. Machines go wild at the heart of it all and the ticking percussion is angry and insistent: it's somewhat freaked out and acid in the latter half, working both itself and listeners into a noir frenzy. This is affine record with which to kick off a new label and won that will surely put Roze Balletten on everyone's radar.
