Hot Casa Records present Togo Soul 70 (Selected Rare Togolese Recordings from 1971 to 1981). A treasure-trove of rare and unusual recordings mostly recorded in Lomé during the 70's, a fusion of traditional voodoo chants, raw soul and Afro jazz. Finding these tracks and their rights holders hasn't become any easier even after few trips all over this west African country bordered by Ghana, Benin & Burkina Faso.

We, at Hot Casa Records, decided to select 13 tracks, a snapshot of some hundreds of rare and often forgotten tapes from the most prolific, professional and exciting phase of the country's recording history, including international stars like Bella Bellow (who even performed to Maracana stadium in Brazil), or Roger Damawuzan, compared as the James Brown from Lomé, and forgotten tapes and brilliant songs in Mina, Kabyié and Fon languages. Many of the tracks featured here are peppered with innovation and experimentation highlighting how diverse the music scene in Togo was at the time, even if the political context influenced their creation.

A must have for all music lovers, also used as the soundtrack of the documentary Togo Soul 70, directed by Liz Gomis & DJ Julien Lebrun!

Originally released in 2002, Comet is proud to present the legendary album Homecooking, reissued with a remastered version. Tony Allen talks about the album: After Black Voices and Psyco on Da Bus albums, I came back with HomeCooking which was an album filled with guests. I brought in Ty, who had remixed some of my work previously, to rap on the record, and Damon Albarn, who had already sung about me on 'Music is my Radar'. Last Harbour return with Paler Cities, a 7" vinyl release for Gizeh Records which marks the follow-up to 2015's raw and brooding Caul album.

Maintaining the high standards set by Caul, these two new tracks are a more direct version of Last Harbour's signature form, leaning towards a more stripped back, less textured post-punk sound. K Craig's voice echoes and cascades through duelling guitars and metronomic beats on the lead track before giving way to slower tones and late-night melody on The Curved Road, augmented by electric pianos, synths and simple percussion. These new tracks show a progressive band in full force, tapping into themes of city dislocation, mazes and traps. They expertly navigate the intimate and the expansive and document a band still growing, changing and connecting.

Paler Cities is released April 1st on limited edition 7" vinyl complete with two additional bonus, digital-only tracks. Last Harbour tour Europe this April in support of the new single.

Last Harbour are a Manchester-based collective who have released six full-length albums and a whole host of other material over their existence. They have worked with Richard Formby (Wild Beasts, Spacemen 3, Ghostpoet, Darkstar) on two records and have toured with the likes of Willard Grant Conspiracy, Michael Gira (Swans), Mark Mulcahy, Dirty Three and Josh T. Pearson (Lift To Experience).

For this album, Rémy Poncet, the handyman that plays himself all the instruments, writes his own lyrics and even makes his own cover, has decided to keep the same path but meanwhile, has grown in melodic power and maturity. With this new release, there is reason to wager that Chevalrex will be one of the future pearls that will be used as a reference for those who will venture out on the roads of French Pop.

After the critical success of their first EP Bleu Nuit' released in 2013 at Craki Records' and their sold out French tour opening for Mancunian band Wu Lyf, Apes & Horses are back on 27th May, 2016 with a new mini-album called Echo", released at Because Music's. Aurélien Hamm (voice, music) and Pablo Altar (keyboards, production) deliver us a dark, divinely vague, spacious and sensual pop. In this record, feelings are expressed through a sublime and moving haze, but there are still turbulences beneath the surface, seduction behind sadness... The EP has been produced by Ash Workman (Christine And The Queens, Metronomy, etc), and the management is well carried out by the promo director of Beggars UK and Tony Wilson's former assistant (the boss of the legendary label Factory). A fantastic team for a promising band.

Since the release of 'Red Light' late last year, the only project Tiësto has worked on since was a collaboration with twoloud called 'Drop It Like This' under his TST alias. Also the release of that song gave way to the news of an incoming Tiësto album that is still currently in the works. However, one of the leaders of the electronic dance music world has his next single up and ready for purchase.

This new song titled 'Wasted' features Matthew Koma known for his vocal talents on songs like 'Spectrum' and 'Find You' by Zedd, 'Years' by Alesso, 'Sparks (Turn Off Your Mind)' by Fedde le Grand and Nicky Romero, 'Dare You' by Hardwell, and 'Cannonball (Earthquake)' by Justin Prime and Showtek. In Tiësto's latest song, Mr. Koma sets the summertime tone singing of good times and puppy love. On the other hand, this is possibly Tijs' most commercial and radio-friendly song to date, straying away from hard drops and sticking to more pop-like sounds. This new song reminds me of Afrojack's recent material like 'The Spark' and 'Ten Feet Tall' in the new direction each musician is taking. Although many fans grew up with both Dutchmen for their roots in trance or electro house, their new songs are a clear indication of the skill these artists possess to make more outside their genre and think outside the box. At the end of the day, you cannot deny the catchiness that 'Wasted' entices the ears with and how it will most likely climb the Top 40 charts!

Extra Virgin was the first release for British Trip Hop band Olive, released in 1996. This album defined Olive's style, spawning three singles, 'You're Not Alone', 'Outlaw', and 'Miracle'. The Trip Hop influence of Massive Attack and Portishead, while in small quantities, are evident, mixed in with synth-based electronic dance.

A year after its initial release, Olive's debut album Extra Virgin produced a number one British hit with 'You're Not Alone,' a low-key Trip-Hop number with a graceful melody. It's a strong single, and there are similarly strong moments on Extra Virgin.

The band created some samples by recording live sounds, edited and subsequently filtered. Synthesizers used on the album were a Roland Juno-60, an E-mu Systems Vintage Keys, and an Akai S3000XL sampler. All in all this makes for an organic, trippy experience.

Four years since they released Dring, Nôze are making a very welcome return to Circus Company with their fifth album Come With Us, and once again the pairing of Nicolas Sfintescu and Ezechiel Pailhes has yielded a collection of captivating and curious songs that could only come from the unique sound world they inhabit. As has been evident throughout their career from their early experimental house days through to the more recent song-based material for Get Physical, the Parisian duo have always moved on from album to album, maturing their sound to deliver a new experience for themselves and their listeners every time. On this occasion, Come With Us finds Nicolas and Ezechiel in a particularly introspective mood. Even as their work has naturally turned more to home-listening craft over the years, here they revel even more in personal reflection both musically and lyrically. Finally, if you didn't already know, none of these Wet Play records would happen without parent label Red Laser having faith in our unprofessional, haphazard yet highly spirited outfit. Matt and Woody, perhaps witnessing a mirror of their former years, saw the intoxicating and unique atmosphere at our club nights and got us into gear to release these records; so it's a double buzz when Woody sparks up his machines and gets all cybotronic on our arses under his Il Bosco guise.
