International Feel's newest signing Private Agenda are taking us back to a time when soul first met synthesisers, shoulder pads were as vital as the right Berlin address and Sheffield met the sonic Caribbean playground of Compass Point.

It was from this juxtaposed melting pot that the early seeds of Alfredo's Balearic Beat movement gathered pace and 'Déjà Vu' is a cocktail of Linda Di Franco, a Roxy Music esque aesthetic, bound together by elements of the inventive, contemporary production values of artists such as Todd Terje and Prins Thomas. 'Freefalling' on the reverse proves a fitting reflection of Private Agenda's wider vision. Finding sonic roots in early Balearicism - ethereal vocal lines over delicate percussion.

Uniting their disparate tastes and talents for the first time, the trio's debut single, 'Déjà Vu', provides a wonderful introduction to their world where production values are as detailed as they are bombastic lyrics, as reflective as they are bold.

Private Agenda are Martin, Sean & Nick. Martin's first synthesiser was an organ. He met Sean in German class. Sean was famous at school for his Mercuryesque indierockband stage presence and was especially dedicated to the art of songwriting. A few years later in Berlin, Martin moves in with Nick. The first time they worked together, they went for hours straight without a break. "I wanted to watch him mix music forever, it was magic," Martin recalled. Although it could have happened anywhere, Berlin was the place they all came together for the first time. Ladies and gentlemen, Private Agenda.

Side-project of Ace Of Base mastermind and producer Jonas "Joker" Berggren, Yaki-Da got their 15 minutes of fame in 1994-1995 with the hits "I Saw You Dancing", "Pride Of Africa" and "Show Me Love". A highly collectable piece of 90's pop.

Rare record from Kaka recorded in Portugal and arrangements by the virtuose Paulino Vieira. Last track on this L.P. is a Funana track from the legendary Bulimundo band. Limited Warehouse find, these records have been remaining for years in original boxes straight from the press plant, never played mint condition.

The producer has apparently decided to keep the momentum up. In The Garden's second 12" will be released in mid June this year.
The title track "Veggepysj" is a chugging midnight affair, with swirling arps, a driving bassline and dreamy pads. "Mellow Johnny's", is a somewhat more (dare we say it...) balearic affair. Yet, it still has Marius Circus' undeniable personal twist, with off kilter percussion and weird textures from his synth arsenal.

Finally, the producer has called in the big gun(s) for remix duty. The flip sees long time friend, Full Pupp kingpin and undeniably one of the world's finest djs, turn the title track into a 9 minute dance floor monster. We're obviously talking about Prins Thomas. In his usual way, Thomas manages to take it up several notches, while still keeping the original's charm present.

For decades the mysterious Hiroshi & Claudia LP has been an elusive jewel amongst the curious world of Australian private press LPs. With nothing more than cryptic broken-English album sleeve notes to reference, the mythical Six To Six LP is a bewildering and intriguing jazz oddity. With prices of the rare original record hitting three figures, collectors began demanding to know who was 'Hiroshi', who was 'Claudia' and why did a group of unknown Japanese musicians record an album in Australia in the late 1970s only to issue it in micro-quantities, then seemingly disappear back into obscurity. For years no trace of whom they were nor any clue as to the origins of their peculiar yet entrancing music had surfaced. Until now....

Welcome to the brainchild of Gilles Germain and Carmen Fabro, a French/Italian husband and wife team of restaurateurs and film producers operating in Sydney during the 1970s. Establishing the custom record label 'Atom', the duo released a handful of highly obscure vanity jazz LPs and promotional horse racing 45s. (Yes it's all very strange...) The highlight undoubtedly being the album Six To Six, a session recorded in Sydney in 1979 by a group of touring Japanese jazz musicians led by guitarist Hiroshi Yasukawa, and a forgotten and still undocumented Mauritian cabaret singer performing under the alias 'Claudia'. Sitting somewhere between spacey Balearic disco, haunting soul and hectic funk reminiscent of electric Miles Davis, the Six To Six LP is a curious beast to say the least.

Released specially for Record Store Day 2017 Northside Records and The Roundtable present a limited edition exact reissue of this legendary Australian rare groove LP.

Apparel Music return with the introduction of a brand new sub label - Apparel Tronic. The intention for this new division of sound is to shift focus towards UK-rooted Beats, Nu-Jazz, Downtempo and Jungle - a collection of styles the label like to term 'Bliss-Beat'. This treasured and futile basis of influence gives rise to Giuseppe D'Alessandro a.k.a KiSK and Ludovico Schilling SCHiLLiNG's new project which they inaugurate with the 'Hella' LP from SCHiLLiNG himself: a collection UKindebted dance tracks that meld influences from Jungle, Breaks and Hip Hop. Originally born in Milan - Schilling relies on a process he likes to describe as 'contamination' of sound which entails the layering of field recordings and the sounds of his home environment with those of synths, real instruments and samples. This approach brands a clear stamp on his productions and enables him to create a truly singular strand of dance music and it's this that glues together the 9 disparate tracks of Hella. Moving from the cascading breaks of the LP's introduction 'Anarcoide' to the woozy and textural 'Black Lighter' - the album begins to build a spectral mood as it progresses. Tracks such as 'Flesh Is Weak' and 'Madting' draw influence from the golden-era of Bristol's Trip-Hop while tracks such as 'Snooker Club' and 'Viejos' delve into more caliginous, IDM territory. The result is a rich and varied collection that demonstrates Apparel Music's unwavering ability to continue to keep listeners guessing.

New Order Presents Be Music is a compilation of productions by members of iconic Manchester group New Order, including classic dance and electro tracks released on Factory Records between 1982 and 1985, as well as more recent remixes for current artists such as Factory Floor, Marnie, Tim Burgess and Fujiya & Miyagi.
The generic tag Be Music was first used in 1981 and covered studio production work by all four members of New Order: Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook, Stephen Morris and Gillian Gilbert. Sumner often teamed with Donald 'Dojo' Johnson of A Certain Ratio, including the pioneering electro cuts featured here by Quando Quango, 52nd Street, Marcel King, Paul Haig and Surprize. Morris and Gilbert worked with Thick Pigeon, Life, Red Turns To and also 52nd Street. Although more rock orientated, Hook proved he was no slouch on the dancefloor either with the mighty Fate/Hate by Nyam Nyam.
'Producing was a really important sideline,' recalls Bernard Sumner of the Factory era. 'It's OK doing it because although all the groups are skint, you learn a lot and you're helping somebody.'
After 1985 the band focused more on producing their own records, both as New Order and solo projects such as Electronic, Revenge, The Other Two, Monaco and Bad Lieutenant. However in recent years Stephen Morris in particular has remixed several newer artists, notably London industrialists Factory Floor, as well as former Factory workers A Certain Ratio and Section 25.
Bonus tracks on the 3xCD box set include Knew Noise by Section 25, produced by Ian Curtis and Rob Gretton of Joy Division way back in 1979, and the complete 22 minute version of Video 586, recorded by New Order themselves in 1982.
 All tracks (12 on vinyl, 36 on the CD) are newly remastered. The liner notes feature commentary on the tracks by the artists and the members of New Order. Design and packaging are by Matt Robertson/Peter Saville Studio.

She also partnered with Wired for the release of a virtual reality version of 'Not Above That', and recently curated her own Boiler Room in London, performing from a specially-build LED pyramid. With future collaborations in the VR world due for release, she looks set to continue breaking down barriers of music, performance and technology. Her new solo album REDEMPTION strikes the perfect balance between future-facing electronic music (with production from Machinedrum and Noisecastle III) and the music of DWN's New Orleans upbringing, bound together by an untouchable approach to song-writing and flawless vocal range. The final part in a trilogy that started with GoldenHeart and continued with Blackheart, it represents her most focused, complete album yet.

Favorite Recordings proudly presents this new official single reissue of I Love You by Karriem: A very rare soulful mid-tempo disco killer, originally released in 1979 on Pashlo Records.
Pashlo Records was based in Oakland and owned by producer and musician Leroy Smith, who is also known for his Ocampo Records' imprint, where he produced and recorded the very first songs from Darondo. The label had quite a short life between the middle 70s and early 80s, producing only singles from mostly unknown and forgotten artists.
Amongst them was this brilliant and obscure release by Karriem, very hard to find in its original version. Unearthed again in Charles Maurice's collection, and officially licensed to Leroy Smith, it's today reissued on vinyl for the first time, presented by Favorite Recordings in a deluxe version, housed in a classic tip-on jacket.

Hot Casa Records present Togo Soul 70 (Selected Rare Togolese Recordings from 1971 to 1981). A treasure-trove of rare and unusual recordings mostly recorded in Lomé during the 70's, a fusion of traditional voodoo chants, raw soul and Afro jazz. Finding these tracks and their rights holders hasn't become any easier even after few trips all over this west African country bordered by Ghana, Benin & Burkina Faso.

We, at Hot Casa Records, decided to select 13 tracks, a snapshot of some hundreds of rare and often forgotten tapes from the most prolific, professional and exciting phase of the country's recording history, including international stars like Bella Bellow (who even performed to Maracana stadium in Brazil), or Roger Damawuzan, compared as the James Brown from Lomé, and forgotten tapes and brilliant songs in Mina, Kabyié and Fon languages. Many of the tracks featured here are peppered with innovation and experimentation highlighting how diverse the music scene in Togo was at the time, even if the political context influenced their creation.
