The title track is an underground jam of pure dark soul (or also deep punk) from a parallel world, its steadily climbing lines carry the intensity of unknown songs caught on tape when dressing in black was still a statement. Its melancholia though is not romantic and introspective but rhythmical and inevitable, and full of life and passion. It is one of those rare tracks that seem to have been with you since teenage times, although you're hearing it for the first time, like a disorienting and irresistible déjà-vu.

"La Grúa§" will appeal to those who have been able to witness one of Sano's unique dj sets of irresistibly pumping slowness, reflecting exactly these moments when something driven by a walking rhythm and a single yet morphing main sound just keeps you moving on the dancefloor. It's the sound of the moving crane (La Grúa) outside Sano's flat, like an endless scream of a dying beast or a concrete demolishing giant stretching its extremities. "La Grúa" is darkly distorted, built on a fat beat that swings elegantly like the smooth walk of a big cat, its muscles animated with every step.

Toulouse Low Trax' magical rework of this track will furthermore please all purveyors of slow hypnotic rhythms behind the decks. Creating a much darker evolving atmosphere that uses the characteristic "La Grúa" - bassline the remix keeps us magnetized by an unknown force, like the guests of the party that are inexplicably deprived from leaving in Luis Buñuel's "Angel Exterminador".

Music For Dreams continue their high profile string of releases with this double album of dark pop brilliance from Danish newcomers Silent Riders. Apart from their names - Lu, Gee and C - little is known about this mysterious trio who wear masks during live performances. Emerging from some unknown murky world, materialising from the shadows in the woods, they have created a mythical sphere accessible only through their music - a vision of electronica that is organic and alive with both warmth and danger. Led by the sultry voice of Lu, we are drawn into the dark imaginings of the Silent Riders with almost cinematic brilliance as Gee and C man the machines that weave the atmospheric dronings of their world - a world that could be easily mistaken for one created by David Lynch or Tim Burton. The rhythms that form the path to this domain remind us along the way of previous travellers such as Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire or Tolouse Lowtrax. With the opening track "I See You", Silent Riders offer up a brilliant pop diamond combining all elements of their distinctive sound palette. Lu's soulful voice bounces off almost funky drum machines, all drenched in layers of dark analog ambience. On the lush "Copenhagen Dream", Lu channels a sense of brit-pop nonchalance into a political song about the state of her city. In contrast, "Being Afraid" sees the band in their hardest grittiest mode - with Lu reminiscent of PJ Harvey at her most moody and the slow groove behind her like a factory machine beating and releasing steam.  Other highlights include the chilling "Static" and the ethereal beauty of closing track "Falling" which sees the Riders in their most relaxed and dreamy state, and echoes the works of Portishead and Massive Attack. A stunning debut - limited vinyl release - don't miss.

Over the years Jim Coles has turned his hand to a fair few different styles and made them his own. These days, most know his Om Unit alias as a significant force in fresh developments within D&B (recently found larking about with Alix Perez, Binga and more in the Richie Brains project on Exit Records), but it's not always been that way. From initial moves in the dubstep world via Terrorhythm through to shimmering, playful electro-leaning business on Civil Music, he's graced plenty of high profile labels with his many-sided musical dice and come up trumps. A personal favourite moment for us came in the shape of the All City 7" Lavender / Lightgrids in 2010, which matched Jim's knack for rich and detailed production to a slower, more contemplative groove. This new release for Idle Hands comes from that era, a trio of secret weapons sat waiting for the opportune moment to step out into the world. With the warmer months upon us, it feels like the perfect time to let a track like "Friend Of The Day" roll out in a heavy-lidded haze of sun-kissed, ivory-tinkled finery. This being Om Unit, of course there are different shades on offer here as well. "Basement Superman" plumbs aqueous depths with its appropriation of dub techno tropes in a slow-stepping, meditative framework. "What It Is" too revels in introspection, a laconic bassline loping jauntily against the feathery beat in a succinct encapsulation of Bristolian laissez-faire. Jim's current exploits are reaching ever more interesting pastures, and there's an increasing recognition of his past achievements too (check the Kutmah-curated Lost Stories collection of unreleased 2tall bits from his archives), so it's a pleasure to add to the movement and support some truly special gems from a long time friend of the shop.

Capturing the spirit of the season, when the electronic music community leaves its darkened rooms and heads back to nature, Feathered Sun are here with the perfect accompaniment. The six-strong collective have appeared once before when they delivered the first release on Platon Records, and
now they return with another three tracks that live and breathe with an organic band dynamic that can only be wrought by many hands working in unison.
The loose-fit Berlin-based crew is comprised of NU, jO.K.e, Raz Ohara, Chris Schwarzwaelder, Iannis Ritter and Acid Pauli, and individually you may have experienced their music in many other places. As well as being peers in the music scene they are all real life friends, and Feathered Sun is the
manifestation of their lives spent together jamming wherever the mood is right, not confined to rigid studio sessions and release deadlines.
This natural, easy-going atmosphere lingers all over the three tracks on the Saubohnen EP, as playful vocal intonations meet with live instrumentation over laid back grooves made without a need for hype or drama. It feels like the soundtrack to a perfect idle summers day spent amongst friends, while still
maintaining a necessary bite to keep toes tapping and the vibe lively. Legend would have it that the Feathered Sun sound is just as likely to have been crafted in a retreat in Peru as surrounded by the wives and kids, let alone in more conventional musical environments. It is that down-to-earth spirit that makes their sound so instantly familiar and easy to get along with, reflecting real life and love outside the self-less mass identity of the dancefloor.

A fresh imprint, run by Nachtbraker and KiSk, with four releases in the pipeline, featuring four different artists and commissioned storyboard comics on the sleeve. For the first missive, The Good Guys will be represented by pianowizard Crackazat (Local Talk, Futureboogie) bringing the optimistic vibes we need to start this fight, while Saine (Sleazy Beats) - the king of subtle moods - provides that voice of reason to keep both our feet on the ground. The Bad Guys enlisted the services of groove maestro Nachtbraker (Dirt Crew, Heist Recordings) to help out with the detailed footwork and master of multiple galaxies Gnork (Blorp, Blind Jacks Journey) steps up to the plate with unmatched stamina to roughen things up.

SERIES features the work of Kaidi Tatham. There are three solid tracks on this 12' from beat-down House to jazzy down tempo beats. Kaidi brings his futuristic funky fusion to give all the dancers warm and peaceful vibes!

Yula Kasp is our « enfant sauvage », raised by wolves into a wolf.
A slav pup in Poland, under the dregs of the communist regime. A teen wolf in Toronto, daughter of immigrants, eating up America through Rock n'Roll rebellion. And a nearly grown Canis Lupus in Paris where she starts going out where the fellow wolves go: Le Pulp, Le Batofar.... The wolf is a social animal, but Yula also makes music alone, on the cheap, in her bedroom.
Her first project would be an homage to her grand-mother, Wanda Trampczynska, solely made up of cut-ups of her words.
One of leader of her pack that slowly emerges here is Matias Aguayo from Comeme records, for whom she starts making videos (another thing she learned alone). Everybody will remember Rebolledo's Guerrero video (werewolf), or other works for Philip Gorbachev or Sano.

Matias is drumming on two of the tracks of this ep, CONSCIOUS and SENSITIVE PLANT.
After the early pick up of the LEISURE by Mauricio Rebolledo for the A VERY NICE COMBINADO compilation of the Pachanga Boys, Pilooski seemed an obvious choice to produce the infused psychedelia of this mini album, a strange mixture of eighties wave tape music, folkish electronic voodoo, dubbed-up disco, her own mental poetry and extracts from Shelley or W.H Davies.
This is a world you need to enter with your eyes closed, visions will come by themselves.

With great pleasure we present a new artist on Milnormodern, it is ARSY from Berlin. This is the 26th record of Milnormodern and as al- ways, really nice deep. We love it. Uber bring the new Mushrooms Project EP. A slight diversion for Uber into the cosmic afro infused musical stylings that the Mushrooms boys are masters. Madrugada's tribal energy is reminiscent of Tony Esposito or Tullio de Picopo. The Italian afrobalearic groove that we at Uber love so much. The Big Boobs is a slower more contemplative track, still holding onto the percussive feel but with hints of the east. I suspect the title is influenced by last summers trip to the Great Outdoors in Birmingham. Finally we come to the epic musical journey that is African Obsession. Continuing the fine Italian tradition of tribal dance music this is a tight superbly produced trip into afrocosmiche. 15 minutes of hypnotic beauty. Uber hitting the spot again.

Sireli is the first release of Viken Arman's newly created record label. He will be gathering his closest friends on this project and was was joined by Bedouin, Mira, Christopher Schwarzwalder, Canson and Nutia for this EP. Sireli is an amalgam of Viken's unique folkloric and traditional crafted sounds. Drop of Raki is the result of an unexpected early morning collaboration with Jo.Ke and Iannis Ritter. The track goes deeper into Viken's armenian roots and oriental influences.

With the shortly arriving compilation Continue, the still young label Ourselves is already entering the second round. After their kick-off had already unmistakeably proven likewise, also their following release prides itself with multifarious house music.
The entry into this musical journey is given by a collaboration between the two Leipzig producers Ranko and Lootbeg. In their work, classical drums are meeting warm house chords, accompanied by a driving acid line and riddled with catchy soul vocals, which, parcelled into modern breaks, will most certainly set more than one hip swinging. A clear case of girl voucher.
The second track of the release is contributed by Berlin artist Perel. In usual fashion, clearly harder drums meet a driving and floating groove here, which has without a doubt been produced for dancefloor usage. Adding the massive bassline and the unmistakeably demanding vocal, we end up having a massive tune with raw warehouse character. I want my money back!
The opening of the flipside comes from our good friend Braunbeck. Holy, a hypnotically-tinted tune dominated by percussion convinces with his irresistible urge forward and his ever catchy groove, which truly never seems to lose its dynamism. A true monster.
The perfect finishing touch is added by Filburt personally. The chief of motherlabel O*RS surprises with a track full of cosy atmosphere and spacy vocals. Carried by a multitude of synthie sounds, this tune sure is the perfect choice for every set and afterhour. Always towards the rising sun!

"Sharknado" was elected the most useless word in the world in 2014. It was obvious for us to steal this film name and become illegal in the spheres of ignorance. Sharknado is a musician duo, much like fashion skewers the time, a little roast beef, shrimp and some time with the family grows a little more each day. Sharknado is electronic music everything from classic, a TR808, a bassline and some analog synths . nothing new ! We like the experience of all, which is why we do with what is, and with a small step back and humor we see the world's beauty in all its forms (can be an epigenetic story ...) . We see the beauty in the change in radioactivity and what it produces on wildlife. An albino shark fins three is our inspiration ... Sharknado attempts to write the story of a changed world, fed with uranium, a world unknown, abandoned.

Dead Heat's music contains deep psychedlic influences in their sound. Feat. The Field & Lucy mixes.
Life and Death returns to its indie roots with this fresh sounding release from new artist, Dead Heat. The trio, formerly known as Esperanza, counts deep psychedlic influences (among others) as a significant factor in their well developed sound. Here they present two original tracks which frame two sides of an idea, a ying and yang of a raw and emotional journey across a modern alternative landscape with nods to the indie and alternative music of decades past.

Bosco is the darker of the two with a powerfully raw and driving bass that sounds like a modern day Morphine set on a Blade Runner-esque backdrop. Paired with a haunting and plaintive vocal it's an impressive force they make -- which makes the beautiful guitar and piano that come in towards the end all the more impressive in their counterpoint.

Remixing Bosco is Berghain resident and techno producer extraordinaire, Lucy. Here he takes the track to even darker and deeper territories as he creates a fine piece of well crafted techno that keeps elements of the original but twists them well to make them his own. Just what you might imagine hearing deep in the bowels of that Berlin insitution.

The Dam is the yang to Bosco's yin with a lighter more hopeful sound but with no less emotion wrapped inside. Here the piano and guitar takes the foreground earlier, to be later framed by a chugging bass and atmospheric synths that work together to create a blissful musical trip.

Taking remixing duties for The Dam is The Field, the project of talented Swedish musician Axel Willner. Mixing sonic soundscapes and classic songwriting, his take on Dead Heat's original is an impressive slice of both. A truly elegant interpretation of the original that stays with the listener long after the last note has sounded.

Copenhagen's Music For Dreams continue their string of pearls in 2016 with the 12' release of Apiento & LX's DISH.
At the request of cutting edge Danish designer Trine Lindegaard, Paul Byrne (aka Apiento) created this music to accompany her DISH project - a playful fusion of food, fashion and art - when it premiered at 2016 Copenhagen Fashion Week. For the project, Lindegaard worked with members of integration organization ITMV in Copenhagen to produce clothing items based on their favourite food dishes, Apiento and regular collaborator UK-based house producer LX, used the recorded interviews of their discussions as raw material with cut-up samples of the women's voices woven into the music for the runway show.
The result is an ethereal and avant-garde mix of crisp beats and featherlight percussion blended in a fresh and modern Oriental-flavoured Balearic groove packed with gorgeous flutes and kalimbas. The powerful dub on the flip-side brings a heavier more trippy feel geared firmly for the dancefloor.
As well as a string of great remixes and edits as Apiento, Paul Byrne is also well known for his behind-the-scenes work with labels like Junior Boy's Own, International Feel and DEEWEE, and for his highly influential blog Test Pressing.

House Of Black Lanterns is the latest musical project from Dylan Richards, the man behind the King Cannibal and Zilla monikers (on the Ninja Tine and Warp Records labels respectively). With an album and two singles out in 2013 on the highly respected Houndstooth label, Richards returns with a deadly EP for Hypercolour, backed with a very fine Mosca remix.

In its Original Mix, 'The Smack' is a dense and atmospheric production, the slow pace and chugging bassline evoking shades of early Chicago house but with a thoroughly modern UK twist. Filled with tension and drama, 'The Smack' is a big sounding record that cuts through so many genre sounds from dub techno to dubstep but sounds entirely individual and unique.

Mosca steps up to the remix, following on from the launch of his new label Not So Much, and remixes for Alland Byallo and Sweatshop Boys. Taking 'The Smack' up to an altogether skanking tempo, Mosca plummets the Basic Channel school of sound for the aptly titled 'Dread At The Controls' version. Spring reverb all over the joint as Mosca works the droning synths and fire & brimstone vibes over a watertight, dub heavy workout. 'Grey Leather Glass' takes things up a notch, continuing the HOBL theme of dark & shadowy techno sounds with heaps of drama and sinister twists and turns, like some cinematic score to a Wes Craven slasher epic, and '8 Million Stories' cuts up vocal chops, finger snaps and piano stabs over a brooding house production. Deliciously dark music from HOBL here....

The new offshoot of Isaiah Tapes - Baptismo Alpinismo - presents brooding soundscapes in a 7-inch red-marbled cut. The two pieces by Arnheim work as soundtracks for individuals braving themselves towards self discovery within the structures of the concrete jungles. Come Into Rain dominates with minimalistic harmonies of industrial vocation, supplements its percussive rhythms and reflects current movement of nasty landscape figures..Red Blue borrows direct from these surroundings.... Echoes of funky drums, ever so powerful in clubs of dancers are still resonant and the depth of piano still sonorous. The saxophone solo is taken direct from this concrete jungle, its environment seeping into the groove. As Claremont 56 speeds towards its' ten-year anniversary, label founder Paul Murphy continues to champion little known producers and previously unheard artists. Over the past 12 months, the label has showcased material from rising talents
such as Bella Figura, Simon Peter, Paraiso and Oma & Amberfame. Now, Claremont 56 is adding another new name to the roster: Statues. Essex-based trio Bradley Lucke (production/bass/percussion/keys), Mark Crooks (keys/production) and Grant Carruthers (vocals/guitar) has been making music on-and-off together since they were teenagers, and last year decided to come together under the Statues alias. They submitted a number of demos to Paul Murphy, who was so impressed by what he heard that he offered to help produce and write an album with them. As debut singles go, 'Alaula' is stunning. Reminiscent of many softly spun
moments from the Claremont 56 back catalogue, it builds slowly and breezily via subtle waves of organic and electronic instrumentation. Carruthers' impassioned vocals pop in and out of the mix at opportune moments, peeping above alluring acoustic guitar, bass, synthesizer and Rhodes parts. Throw in

On the fip, Murphy dons his familiar Mudd alias to provide a superb Piano Dub. Building the action around a sparse, delay-laden percussion track, Murphy teases out the track's most potent moments, in the process creating something
that lingers even longer in the memory. Lee's superb piano and cello work naturally takes pride of place, as Murphy expertly emphasizes the track's impeccably atmospheric nature.

Dreams really come true: when we heard Tomemitsu's beautiful lo-fi indie songs on the cassette "m_o_d_e_s" back in 2013 we fell in love! Especially the track "In Dreams" followed us around for months. Humming it in the subway, singing along in the car.
Many dreams later we found out that our friend and fellow Hamburger Stefan Marx also loves the song and even named an art show after it. Coincidence Surely not, so together we made the plan to release "In Dreams" on vinyl.
Luckily Tomemitsu himself was very happy with the idea and even allowed RSS Disco to remix the song. The notorious DJ and production trio upped the tempo to head-spinning 99bpm, recorded additional drums & bass and added several minutes of pleasure.
Finally, the two tracks will be released on vinyl for the first time. Screen-printed records, including a poster in a clear sleeve.

"DiscoShit" is the name of a cooperation project by Phil Decker & Herb LF. Both are active in the electronic music movement since quiet a long time.

Phil Decker is an established DJ from the south west of germany since the late 90ies. He gained also a remarkable reputation as a producer. As "Dubnova" he released really cool deep house stuff. Half a year ago he released his first EP under his real name "Phil Decker" on "ohral recordings" which went down really well. Herb LF on the other side is a very well known producer since a long time. Especially known for some extraordinary " listening / chill out" productions. As a Mastering Engineer he does masterings for labels like "Freude Am tanzen, Bpitch Control" amongst others.

Together Phil Decker & Herb LF are "DiscoShit". They already released some stuff under this pseudonym on their own imprint "Rest !". So we are honored that they´ve decided to release this knorky 3 track EP on "ohral recordings".

What you could expect music wise The project name itself already gives good information what their productions are all about.

"It all started in 1974 with the purchase of my first Mini Moog and another 70's dream machine, a white Mellotron M 400." So starts Klaus Hoffmann of his 40 years love affair with the Mellotron. Moving from Prog-Rock guitarist to Cosmic Disco warrior in a space of a few years, the birth of Cosmic Hoffmann would lead to a number of classic Kosmiche albums through-out the 1980s. Before this though came Space-Disco. Initially recorded in 1978 after endless late night sessions exploring the new realms of this free form electronic music, the first incarnation was recorded live to tape for a failed film project. An uplifting spaced-out synth journey, it was the later reworked version that would go on to become the lost cult classic. With added disco syncopation taking the track into interstellar spheres, it appeared only as a flipside of Cosmic Hoffmann's first and last single, "Weltraumboogie", in 1982. Unfortunately the release did not make much impression at the time but has become highly sought-after for the more leftfield DJ and music lovers in the years since. Now fully licensed and remastered, the inclusion of the unreleased 1978 Original will be only add to the collectors dream.

Occasionally, a record — or sometimes even a DJ — simply falls out of the sky, like so many unexplained showers of fish, or midnight deliveries of frozen piss from passing jumbo jets. And so it was when DJ Steve first came to our attention in 2011 via Tim Sweeney, who discovered him quite by chance DJing in the Italian seaside town of Tropea. Sweeney, on vacation in the area, was so impressed with Steve he passed him his card, telling him to call him if he ever made it to New York. Some time later, DJ Steve did make it to New York, called Sweeney and turned up at the Beats In Space studio, barely speaking any English but with a pile of DJ Steve special cuts', white labels and acetates, and laid down an extended mix - Italian style!'. Then, nobody ever really heard from him again. Fast forward to Berlin 2013, and the mix had become a staple at the after hours of a small group of friends, including Paramida, who would soon start Love On The Rocks. They called it the DJ Steve experience'. Paramida counts it as one of her main musical inspirations, saying it showed her another perspective of groove, and turned her perception of dance music upside down'. And still, nobody seemed to know who he was. speaking any English but with a pile of DJ Steve special cuts', white labels and acetates, and laid down an extended mix - Italian style!'. Then, nobody ever really heard from him again. Until one day in early 2016, after years of exhausting all her contacts in an effort to track him down, after all the blood, sweat and tears, and countless hours spent interrogating various dance music insiders, Paramida finally received a message. Minkia, stu pezzu nci spunda u culu e passari!' Whatever that meant, it was instantly clear that her search had come to a conclusion. Despite the near-indecipherable dialect, and other obvious communication problems, Paramida somehow persuaded him to sign two of his special

Candy Tongue' is the second single taken from the upcoming third studio album 'Lost' by Trentemøller. The beautiful song features the vocals of danish singer/songwriter Marie Fisker. Trentemøller already teamed up with Fisker on a song for the 'Into The Great Wide Yonder' LP and she's also become a firm member of Trentemøller's live band, who are touring the European summer festivals at the moment. 'Candy Tongue' slowly builds from whispered, emotional vocals into a rousing song with oversteering guitars and evoking chants. Following on from the 1st single 'Never Stop Running', the new single also reveals more of the upcoming, curiously awaited new longplayer which breathes all aspects of the electronic years as well as the guitar driven second album - in a new, fresh and light-footed way with a wealth of fantastic songs, incredibly well produced.
