Luca C & Brigante return under their Invisible Cities guise, alongside close friend Ali Love, for the final installment in their three part single series. Following remixes from Ivan Smagghe and The Mole on the first two parts, 'Sunkissed' wraps up the series with remixes from Mad Professor and Apiento & LX.
Luca C & Brigante first appeared as Invisible Cities on Southern Fried Records in 2011, until 2015 saw them revive the project for a trio of releases on their own Double Drop label. 'Sunkissed' sees the collective produce a slow burning single of intricate drum patterns and subtle background riffs, assisted by the floating vocals of Ali Love. Ali Love first collaborated with Invisible Cities on 'The Beach' on their first EP release, and returns with another tribute to the eternal summer.
Apiento & LX (check their classic 'The Orange Place') then manipulate the track towards dancefloor domains using enticing bongos, wonky synths and echoing. Proper ALFOS tackle. Finally, the legendary Mad Professor arrives in a rare remix outing to deliver two imaginative dub versions, which both loop the original's principle melody whilst stretching it's aesthetics to give it his own inimitable signature.

Bruno Belissimo is an Italo/Canadian producer and multi-instrumental solo artist. Bruno works with many Italian artists, both in studio and live, and currently is the bass player of the Sicilian songwriter Colapesce. Previously he has released three critically acclaimed albums playing bass with the band Low Frequency Club and toured extensively in Europe. Bruno Belissimo's sound is deeply influenced by the italo/space disco classics and the original soundtracks of 70s/80s Italian horror/sci-fi cinema. The result is an unique approach to disco music, a sort of New Italo' enriched by balearic atmospheres and jazz vibes. With the Italian record label Locale Internazionale Bruno has released three singles, Ethiopia/Galaxy' (2014), From Canada/To Paradise' (2015), Infradisco' (2015). These successes led to his first full-length self-titled album in April 2016, met with critical acclaimed and labeled Bruno as a rising talent in the European disco scene. Bruno complements the unique sound of his album with a powerful live set combining audio and video while showcasing his talents as instrumentalist

Arriving at their 20th release in typically eclectic fashion, Nado turn from a laidback Luke to a Tasmanian devil, summoning synth mystic Bronze Savage to bring his unique electronics to their unstoppable imprint. Hailing from Hobart's piers rather than pavements, the Australian producer trades in a sun-bleached house sound alive with ocean spray and salty air, perfect for playing at that magic hour when the sun dips into the sea.
The keen-eared may have caught Savage's collaborative cassette release with Roland Tings on Vancouver's 1080p back in 2013, but this release marks the producer's first appearance on vinyl and on his own; a testament to Moonboots' and Boardman's A&R expertise. Oceanic textures and interlocking sequences invite us into the EP opening 'Waxed Apple', combining beautifully with heat treated percussion and rolling bass to set the evening in motion. Slow, slinky but still slightly slamming, this glittering taste of Balearic house should sit very nicely next to Andras Fox and A Vision Of Panorama's additions on the imprint.
The sampledelic 'Forgive Me' follows on like a poolside parley between Art Of Noise and a catatonically stoned Front 242, boasting thick bass, dreamy synths and some expert sample manipulation. Closing the A-side out in St. Tropez splendour is the simmering and sultry house of 'Body Glo', a Rousseau painted with tropical birdsong, phasing synth washes, deep house pads and the vaguest hint of digidub.Things take a turn for both the lysergic and the cosmic on the flip as Bronze Savage launches the metronomic 'Krang's Makeover' into the clear sky. Putting his own antipodean twist on the typically Scandinavian space Disco sound, the producer fuses the acidic and the aquatic via bubbling sine waves, expansive textures and a driving 303 which propels us up into the atmosphere. The world looks peaceful from way up there, and the dreamy 'Spearmint Milk' is the perfect soundtrack to our celestial explorations. Tracing a hazy shape with chimes, washes and wriggling bass, Savage brings proceedings to a close with a touch of cool and calm electronic in line with Larry Heard's majestic 'Sceneries Not Songs'. Charcoals (Niagara Remix) Digital exclusive: Cooking Bananas Under A Blue Moon At Mike's Short info: The second offering on Le Temps Perdu is all about the time spent on intercontinental travel, food, drinks and careless banter. You are kindly invited to a Multi Cultural BBQ in Australia hosted by the musical master of disguise Dreems. Featuring remix work from Finger Prince, Statue and Niagara this one is coming off the grill hot. There isn't much more iconic than a BBQ when it comes to Australian culture. The age-old term of 'throwing another one on the barbie' may sometimes get misconceived when conversing with a foreigner but the end result is usually interesting. Dreems invites a few friends over for a backyard session and the sounds are the result of a few too many cold ones and definitely too many hot ones. The title track 'Charcoals' would in a sense be the best way to have a BBQ or the preferably desired way to cook your goods. Nothing quite brings out the taste and the sound of a grill under the heat of some searing 'coals' prepared for a couple of hours. With drums by his homie Ccolo the whole thing takes on the essence of what a good BBQ is - friends and food. 'Heating up the Voyetra', an alternative method to cooking up some music, started off as a small impromptu jam in another backyard on another continent with Montrealer Clarian during one of those formidable cold Canadian evenings and took shape over the course of winter when venturing outside for a meal seemed impossible - most of the studio snacks were kept room temperature by setting themselves up atop the synths. 'Cooking Bananas Under A Blue Moon At Mike's' is one way to get your little fellas tasting cosmic.

Josh Praus has been involved in San Francisco's Bay Area scene for the last two decades. A prolifc collector and player of records, What We Tellin' Them marks his frst public outing as a producer. As debuts go, it's pretty darn impressive.
Praus has been working hard in the studio over the last three years, creating tracks that draw infuence from a wide range of styles and artists. He cites 'downtempo, disco, house, Italo and techno' as major inspirations,
and listeners may hear elements from all of these disparate styles on this assured, confdent EP.
Some may hear echoes of the trippy, tribal-infuenced house sound of Siesta and Tango Recordings in the dense, drum-heavy shuffe of 'What We Tellin' Them', while others may fnd comparisons with African rhythm tracks and hypnotic, late night techno. However you frame it, 'What We Tellin' Them' is
an impressively percussive, mid-tempo workout designed to tease and titillate late night dancefoors. Flipside 'Lucas Valley Dr', featuring the dreamy, freestyle vocals of experienced San Fran singer Nina Lares, couldn't be more different. Sparse, synthesizer-driven and undeniably intoxicating, it seemingly channels the spirit of both dubbed-out West Coast deep house, and the similarly delay-laden New York proto-house of Winston Jones and Paul Simpson. Throw in clear Italo-disco and Chicken Lips infuences, and you've got something that's undeniably magical. Both tracks were produced by Josh Praus at his home studio, with additional production, mixing and mastering by friend Layne Fox, best known as part of regular Leng contributors 40 Thieves.

Wolf Müller & Cass. arrived with their mini-album 'The Sound Of Glades' on International Feel in early summer. A beautiful record comprising of natural percussion and long languid journeys for laying in fields and staring at skies. Following the 12 inch route we took with Len Leise and CFCF, we asked both Jan & Cass. to remix one of the tracks and also choose a remixer for a third rework....

'Glade Runner' on the A side features a remix by Salon Des Amateurs resident Tolouse Low Trax. If there is one club in the world we'd like to go to right now its the Salon in Düsseldorf. A place where the beats rarely go over 110bpm and they understand the meaning of the word groove. Detlef Weinrich aka Low Trax is very much in this world. His mix arrives from a slightly different place. Wonky insect sounding synths and a perfect bump and ride. Not really much music out there that sounds like this as it clearly comes from a place of experience and the music that he loves to play.

The B side is home to a version each by Wolf Müller and Cass. Müller's Wind Version of 'Aiolos' takes the original sound of the forests to the beach. Ibiza via Germany. Cass. takes the same track to a more mellow zone to round things off with his trademark drones & drifting vocals, light percussion and flanged drums...

Black Atlass is quite literally the only artist on earth to soundtrack Louis Vuitton and Yves Saint Laurent ads while featuring on Action Bronson songs. This diverse appeal is a testament to the captivating voice of Alex Fleming, the young singer, songwriter and multiinstrumentalist and who created Black Atlass as a vehicle for his unique vocals, heart-on-sleeve lyrics and experimental production techniques. Following the well-received Paris' single and Young Bloods EP (the latter a personal favorite of visionary director Woodkid, who created mind-bending visuals for single Jewels' featuring Fleming and supermodel Anja Rubik) and the three singles released over the past year, Haunted Paradise,' Tonight,' and Island Love,' Black Atlass is finally ready to drop his full-length debut. First things first, 'Blush' cuts a breezy, cheerful path through a warm analogue space, with the mid-tempo throb of sampled rhythms to keep you from drifting too far off course.

As the first cool beers of the evening begin to create a warm glow, we head to a dimly-lit basement bar, 'No Rush' where the hep cats are hanging and a sharp fingered double bassist dances a deadly duet with the Rhodes player. Originally Released on Echocord on 27 August 2012. Transcendent Records finally releases this much wanted ambient techno album by Conforce aka Silent Harbour, completely remastered for vinyl. Boris Bunnik expresses "music for an imaginary deep mental abstract excursion" under the Silent Harbour moniker for Transcendent/Echocord. As his multifarious operations have shown, Boris is a dab hand in the studio, and Silent Harbour is the place to find those machine emissions which would never quite reach the 'floor. Operating on the cusp of ambient Techno and electro-acoustic music, he shapes sheer scapes from elemental source material, rendering his sounds diffuse until we glimpse hallucinatory tones in the gloaming dissonance. 4/4 anchored rhythms are fractured, percussions sent to scout the perimeters while the vast space between becomes playground to radiant metallic timbres and strafing electronic apparitions. Music for Techno heads to fall into when the kicks are too much. White vinyl 2x12", limited to 300 copies!

Nicolas Jaar's very first EP, released in 2008, suggested the arrival of a rare talent: it was recorded when he was just 17, for one thing, and its acoustic sounds and unconventional structures were refreshingly unsullied by club music's business-as-usual habits

A collaboration between Aphex Twin (Richard D. James) and µ-Ziq (Mike Paradinas), Mike & Rich - 'Expert Knob Twiddlers' was made back in 1994. Richard edited the tracks into shape later in 1996 with his new Apple Mac computer and it was released later that year on Rephlex, the label he co-owned and which released the first two albums by µ-Ziq. This new reissued version has been carefully cleaned up, re-edited and remastered from the original DAT tapes, put into a more fitting order and, more excitingly, seven new bonus tracks and alternative versions have also been added. The album was recorded over a few days during the 1994 World Cup, back when Richard lived in a big shared flat in Stoke Newington. Richard had tried to collaborate with a few other likeminded artists but something clicked when Mike and Rich worked together and the sessions have a unique feel, playful and at times actually drunk. These are fun experiments in the spirit of lighthearted moog pop and ripe 70s British TV themes, standing out from the po-faced electronica of the time with a garish glee. The record was made on what is now seen as pretty primitive gear - an Atari, Roland MKS-80, Memorymoog, Roland R8 and a handful of samples on a Casio FZ-10M - but it's to their credit that it resonates well with the hardware workouts coming out today. There's a broadminded but sloppy funk to the record, even whistling, singing and harpsichord in 'Reg' and wonky beat pile-ons in 'Jelly Fish'. There's latin piano and wheezy drunken techno in 'Vodka', or the sleepy spaced out ambience of 'Bu Bu Bu Ba' with its barely contained laughter which seems to reflect the absurdity. The new versions and bonus tracks are an absolute delight - from a trancier version of 'Vodka' to the wonky bounce of 'Portamento Gosh', The 3/4 dub of 'Waltz,' the banging door bass of' Brivert and Muonds', the creepy seasick atmosphere of 'Clissold Bathroom' and finishing with the strangely graceful and serious 'Organ Plodder'. A generous and welcome return to the racks.

Still rummaging around in the general field of dance music, but now with a touch more avant-garde on their palette. The faceless entity that is the Free Arts Band introduces us to the simple idea of bringing a drum machine to art school. Infused with the creative space of the white-painted studio, a healthy dose of post-modernist pondering and the depth of traditional lineage, these four jams seem oddly timeless. Each of them riding on the verge of reductionism, they seem to ask: how funky can this get with as limited means as possible
Opening track "Cool Grey" offers synthesized new age jazz with some sundazed guitars, while "KADK" strips everything down to their primal elements and lets the rhythms do the talking, pierced occasionally by a woozy keyboard figure that perfectly mimics the gestures of someone walking in on the wrong party.
With lo-fi gloom, the heavyweight of the E.P. that is "Inhouse" rolls along on a beat that gently approaches the aesthetics of a West Coast low rider cruising track.
Closing the cycle is a sequel to its opening track, and walks you out into a Japanese garden of British new wave guitar twang and brightly colored Badarou-style synths.

This is the second in our planned trilogy of Junto Club EPs. If the first was the birth of the Junto Club, this is the middle-aged existential crisis.
We've followed the same ethos as the first EP, allowing the music to develop organically rather than being restricted by considerations of genre. Naturally, this was shaped by our experiences of the first EP.
While the first EP developed through our experimentation with new sounds behind closed doors, this EP was the result of our attempts to retrospectively understand those creations and the interpretations of others. These reflections were mixed with our reimagining of those discoveries and our experiences of their live performance.
Warm Me Up is not the same as the Junto Club EP because those virgin sessions can never be recreated. Nor should they be. This is the middle aged existential crisis of the Junto Club. And we hope you enjoy dancing to it.

A few years ago I saw a documentary about the audio trickery employed in WW2. I was totally flabbergasted and soon absorbed anything I could find on the subject. Artists and scientists alike cooked up incredible situations to fool the German army. Inflatable tanks and trucks stacked with speakers projecting recordings of an imaginary reality were used to deceive and deviate the opponent. This odd scenario influenced me profoundly and drove me towards composing music that related these feelings. The project only collected dust inside my head until Radio Bongo heard of it and encouraged me to finish.

DJ and producer David Holmes is welcomed to the Late Night Tales fraternity with an evocative collection of personal songs and music, peppered with exclusive new material and rare gems. By now, I think we all know David Holmes, right There's acid house Holmes, with bone-rattling Chicago jams and Detroit destroyers, break-digger Holmes responsible for the grittily shaking 'Let's Get Killed' and seminal Essential Mix compilation (which brought Sixto Rodriguez to people's attention, and then there's soundtrack Holmes. His most enduring and vital source of musical inspiration - cinema - plugged into David's rst solo record 'This Film's Crap, Let's Slash the Seats' and inspired 2000's 'Bow Down to the Exit Sign', created as the soundtrack to a not-yet-made movie. Ofcial soundtracks have been bountiful, including scores for Soderbergh's Out Of Sight and Ocean's trilogy, '71, Hunger and Good Vibrations. In a series of personal songs sung by himself, David's last solo album 'The Holy Pictures' explored inuences of La Düsseldorf, The Jesus and Mary Chain and early Brian Eno. His Unloved collaboration with Keefus Ciancia and Jade Vincent then took us on a musical journey full of raw 60s pop-noir, psychedelia and French Ye Ye with a contemporary twist. Somehow he's also found time to produce records by Primal Scream and Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. Unsurprisingly, for someone au fait with matters cinematic, this Late Night Tales conjures up its own mindmovies. It's not only packed with the judiciously selected nuggets for which his mixes are noted but also stuffed with original material, including collaborations with BP Fallon and Jon Hopkins and an amazing new reading of 10cc's 'I'm Not In Love' by Holmes-produced Song Sung. In fact, there's a Celtic thread running through the whole journey with Stephen Rea's reading of an extract from Seamus Heaney's AENEID BOOK VI - Elsewhere Anchises. Among the other gems included here are David Crosby's lush 'Orleans', Buddy Holly's celestial 'Love Is Strange' and the Children Of Sunshine's 'It's A Long Way To Heaven'. David Holmes loves music. It's a way of expressing the sometimes inexpressible or the inconsolable, a questing desire to nd out just what is over the next hill. It's no surprise to learn he's a keen walker. Always on the move, headphones on, lost in some reverie or piece of music, the soundtrack to his life, the stuff that feeds his imagination. I walk a lot. It's amazing for listening to music: your phone or your emails aren't going and you're just in the forest listening to music. It's so intimate. Anyway, I was listening to the KLF's Chill Out album, which still sounds amazing, but it triggered an idea with concrete sounds through travelling and movement. And one of the things I was trying to do was to use this idea not just break up the moods but also as a metaphor for moving through life and arriving in different destinations or arriving at different stages in different parts of your life. Memory, Love, Living, Family, Friendship, Healing, Death and The Afterworld are some of the themes I wanted to explore within this record. Although these strong themes and tracks are personal to me, I also wanted it to be a great listen that was unpredictable yet had a seamless ow - a journey that was personal to me yet to the listener a great compilation of music that they may or may not have heard before. Chasing percussions, vocal athletics and hand claps concocted into a platter of disco junk funk and early hip hop rhythms, The Number 1 EP took shape in Glasgow's tenement flats and came to life through a spaced-out echo party held at Green Door Studios.

Believe it or not but Uncanny Valley looks back on five years of releasing records this summer. There was a bit of discussion on how to celebrate this occasion properly. Instead of just turning into the typical Greatest hits-routine the label heads Albrecht, Carl, Conrad and Philipp decided to look back and forth. So, besides a record with completely new material there will be a record that unleashes four tracks from the vaults of these five years. As you can imagine, there are lots of tracks that are good too but doesn't fit on the record in question because of the whole record's atmosphere or just because there's not enough space on the vinyl. But it would be a shame if those tunes stay unreleased forever. So, here's "Uncanny Valley: Five Years On Parole - gems from the vaults"! For example, you'll get "The Music", this catchy House banger from Jacob Korn and San Soda didn't fit on Jacob's debut collaboration album but has seduced so many people to dance since it was produced. The combination of the vocal sample, the catchy piano chords and the percussions are just too hard to resist. Also, "In Circles" by Cuthead is a favourite since its release on the digital-only "Resteessen EP". No wonder, after all this track has all the ingredients a Cuthead fan is longing for. Many have waited for another signal of C-Beams, the project from Break SL and Sandrow M. "Beaming City" is not a new song but a wonderful one with its combination of tricky drumming and melancholic synths. It's a reminder of what is so special about the project. We'll see what the future will bring for C-Beams. Finally, Credit 00 slows down things and seeks for an "Elsewhere Girl" that seems to hide in dark and spooky swamps. Besides lots of other artists it was former Dresden and now Berlin based artist Paul Waak who had a formative influence on all the visual aspects of Uncanny Valley. Sure thing that he was the man to create the artwork for both records in true Paul Waak style.

RAIN TEXT is a new project by Giovanni Civitenga and Giuseppe Ielasi. This 4-track ep is the first in a series of records produced using each time a different and fairly limited bank of sounds. Giovanni Civitenga is a producer from Rome, currently living and working in Berlin. He has released albums under different monikers on various labels including Brainfeeder and Huntleys + Palmers. In 2014 he started SKYAPNEA, a label and series of broadcasts on NTS Radio. Giuseppe Ielasi grew up in the south of Italy and now resides in the outskirts of Milano. He mostly plays solo, but also in Bellows (with Nicola Ratti) and in duos with Enrico Malatesta, Kassel Jaeger, Andrew Pekler. He has released (short) records on 12k, Entr'acte, Senufo Editions, Dekorder, Error Broadcast and other labels and also produces music under the "Inventing Masks" moniker.

Media Vision is a 12 minute , slow burning syncopating killer of almost Metro Area´sque proportions. Understand and User are more direct, the first more percussive straight up to the floor the latter more piano driven and with a playful 90´s pop edge, but yet again both sport Even's distinct feel for warm sound, on point grooves plus earcatching hooklines. In a time of over connectivity it was time to disconnect, again.
This album was recorded over the course of a year between two caves, an empty cove and a countryside finca on the island of Mallorca. The summer days were long and hot. The winter nights were longer, cold and damp. Libby, Herbes Seques and a contained fire kept me company. It was experimental in process, strictly interpreting my surroundings and emotions involved with the inescapable solitude of this address-less residence.
Primitive Thoughts part of a series of visual works called 'Croupier', a concept developed by artist Julian Smith focusing on the aftermath of loosing everything to a storage fire in Venice beach and the subsequent recreation process of new works on an Island in the Balearics.

FRM do masterfully crafted, slow paced (pacific) coastal sound with all the ingredients for making you long for more. Steady bass pulses, mechanical percussion, punctual punches make waves from underwater to hyperspace - seductively deep and almost see through light.
