Matt Whitehead needs no introduction here on Super Rhythm Trax and for this outing, he's joined by No Data Available (fresh from a recent outing on Null & Void) and together they've come up with something super special.

'Sahara' and 'Temple Of Set' conjure strong images that match their respective titles with the mood alternating between majestic and mystical. Masterpieces.

These two tracks are sandwiched by the hypnotic and acidic tendencies of 'Full Resonance' and 'Panic In Flat 13'

You may be surprised to know that this is not the first time the two have collaborated on Super Rhythm Trax, and eagle eared listeners will be able to spot their previous collaboration.

Munich based producer Sam Goku is up next on Atomnation, delivering a 125 limited vinyl of his new EP, 'Tanggu'. Inspired by eastern instruments and percussion samples, Wang uses the Minimoog as base in his productions.

Il Est Vilaine aren't from Brittany, but they sure are tricksters. The Francophiles among you might have caught on to the corny pun in their name (beating a certain presidential candidate to the punch all while turning the name of the pastoral Ile-et-Vilaine region into, literally, 'he's a nasty woman") but the real takeaway is that these born-and-bred Parisians don't take themselves too seriously - especially in an era in which there is much too much of that happening. It was in 2014 (and on Dialect Recordings) that Florent and Simon tossed their debut 12 into the ring, the rightfully named Scandale - a tight little bombshell released that roused the electronic music scene out of its complacent little catnap.So there we had it, two outcasts refusing to eat at the same table as the tech-house scene queens, serving up three whiplash-on-the-dancefloor cuts drenched in sweaty hedonistic disco and wrapped in a battered motorcycle jacket (with a gooey post-punk-pop core for good measure.) A clear mission statement right out of the gates, watermarked with mystical incantations and throbbing with rock 'n' roll's primitive drive. Everything and the kitchen sink, and a bag of chips - an invitation to just let lose that's even better than the sum of its parts. Moving on to this new platter. We set the scene: motorcycles blazing from the airport strip to the strip joint, our heroes traded their Oberkampf stomping grounds for a sleepless weekend of Spanish groupies, discount bikinis, whiskey and bukkake. And a creative spurt that left us with a mutant of a record, the sound of rock and techno crashing through a drum kit mid-coitus, interrupted by La French Chanson

The third instalment of the Bodybuilder Quartet has arrived, and once again label boss Nachtbraker adds an exciting name to the Quartet Series manifesto. Moscow native Kuzma Palkin previously released a double 10' and a double 12' on quality Russian imprint Gost Zvuk, but is also known for his productions under his Audiocad (Between Us) and Kausto (Shanti Records) noms de guerre. Make sure to check those out if you haven't already. Here, Kuzma serves up an EP as deep as they come, with greasy, industrial and glitchy sounds floating on steady beats. Title tune 'Macho Culture' is a peaktime roller for darker club spaces with its deep melodic stabs, slapping snares and a haunting synth. Also on the A is 'Muscle Mass Increase', which is cut from the same haunting cloth but comes with an edgy saw synth that will have the punters reach for the lazers. Flip over for 'Proper Sauna Chill', which comes with a thumping kick, beautifully crafted sound design details and an undeniable groove. Closing Kuzma's Quartet Series debut EP is 'Krepkiye Bitsepsky', another showcase of amazing sound design and warped stabs floating over a steady break beat and groovy bass line to round things off nicely.

Koett & Wellbeck are back with their second release for Pro-Tez Records. "Untitled 9" is a proper skilled brilliant low-slung house composition. With remixes from Anton Kubikov and XDB, two veterans lay down a lush house groove that's just begging to be played on the dance floor. XDB's version with sweetly offset dub chords takes us into a club mist of fizzing electronics for a full submerged dub house experience. It is a vinyl only, heavyweight 180 grams pressing, limited to 300 copies.

Chicago's Slick Master Rick is Houz'Mon of Dance Mania fame and founder of Beatboys Records. His highly coveted 'Halloween House' is re-released here along with 3 new ghetto acid trax made during the golden era of house. Saxophonist, composer and bandleader Nubya Garcia is back with the eagerly awaited next chapter to her musical unfolding, When We Are. Enabled with the support of the prestigious Steve Reid Foundation's InNOVAtion award, and with Eglo records co-founder Sam Shepherd (Floating Points) as her mentor, this self-released EP features two newly recorded compositions from the much-lauded artist. The record also comes with B-side remixes from two generations of London's finest producers, K-15 and Maxwell Owin. Following on from her scorching sophomore release, Nubya's 5ive (jazz:refreshed), When We Are sees the trailblazing player take typically self assured steps into new territory with electronic experimentation. 'I've been inspired a lot by the producers around me at the moment, people like Ben Hayes, Tom Misch, Joe Armon- Jones, Jake Long and Maxwell Owin', said Garcia. 'There's an electronic vibe in there that I wanted to explore more, and this release feels like a positive evolution from the last EP.' Much like the celebrated Brownswood release, We Out Here, where Garcia features on five of the nine tracks, When We Are offers a snapshot of the artist she is today and the organic musical languages she continues to form with her long term collaborators Femi Koleoso, Joe Armon-Jones and Daniel Casimir. The title track opens with the easy cascading of Armon-Jones on keys, Garcia's signature erudite tone dancing against the drummer Koleoso's boxy, afro-tinged hip hop runs; all three riding on Casimir's beautifully subtle, abetting bass. Crisp and clean, the track's sweet inflections are carried into spacious territory by light touch pedal effects. Source comprises of shape-shifting, Tetris-like grooves. It's a characteristically sophisticated sound from the band, where each player is able to shine around the trademark fusion of gospel, soul, broken beat, Afro-Caribbean and Latin styles that Garcia has deftly crafted into her own. Alongside her releases, Garcia's reputation as a DJ is burgeoning, bolstered by her hit radio residencies on platforms including Balamii and NTS, and a growing number of live sets across Europe. The record partly draws on the energy of the club-nights that shaped her formative years. The grime and garage nights in north London, dub nights across the river in south London, and of course, the infamous Steez performance jams that have served as a rite of passage for much of the scene.

This is Glenn Storey's 2nd release on Jupiter Label which comes in the form of a four track EP on an exclusive purple vinyl limited to only 250 copies, across the four tracks the sound is Glenn's deep percussive house sound that has found its way into many a dj's selection over the last two years all across the UK, Ibiza and as far as South America.

"Wub yew" is a straight up club track with plenty of groove, built around a bassline and shuffling percussion and vocal. "Funk in the trunk" has a deep funk guitar bassline which drives the track along with a varied drum pattern which is held together with use of a trumpet and ride cymbal. "catacombs" is more of a slow burning affair with a rolling drum pattern and haunting sax breakdown. "nomaD" completes the four tracks with its quirky jazz samples.

On this release, label-head, scott K. brings in his Chicago brother, Cratebug to handle the remix duties. Cratebug has the Midas touch, and this release is no exception.Sinna Man has been in the prized hands of some of the world's biggest DJ's for over a few years now, and none of them has slowed down in featuring it regularly in their mixes. DJ's like Derrick Carter, Honey Dijon, Kenny Dope, Radio Slave, Juan Maclean, Jackmaster, Mark Farina, Josh Wink, Eats Everything, The Black Madonna, Pete Tong, and a grip of others, have all included this rare gem in their Boiler Room Sets, in their BBC Essential Mixes, in their mixes at Sonar, Coachella, FYF, Dekmantel, and more. Now, this secret weapon is finally available as a limited edition, 500 piece pressing, on white vinyl. Don't sleep...when this one's gone, it's gone. Oh ya, while this could easily be a one sided release, you also get another heater on the flipside. The Message is another monster guaranteed to do ridiculous damage to your crowd.

From Bremen, northern Germany, Massud Matin is coming up on Tupiar Records Limited with a great vinyl EP named LIKE YOU, featuring 2 of his own original tracks and 2 remixes from his analog addicts: Modebaku and Kaitaro.

Massud has a deep history going back to his days in the electronic community since 2007, as part of I.C.Records , respectively. even so,he pushes beyond his combined discographies to date, exing impossibilities, building rhythms from arrhythmia, teasing veiled textures from bold iterations of Synth Patterns. his distinctive fusion of sculpturing through shapeshifting software, programming subtractive and matrix modular synthesis to create playful shivering digital textures which oscillate with and against algorithmically mapped percussion samples, smeared synthetic chords levitate in the distance, stabs of digital noise punctuate the mix in twitchy, time-distorting patterns, the deliberation and control over distinctive textures and particles is obsessive, the end results of each individual track unfold with an organic temperament.

The cover art is painted with acrylic on canvas by romanian artist Elly S Oproiu, founder of Soul Drops and music enthusiast brought on board by the overall designer Mihai Dafinoiu, together making this exquisite release.

Rhys Celeste aka Microlith passed away 26th February. 24 years old.The fatal weekend when Rhys lost his life I was mastering the tracks for his release in Fundamental Records. Rhys sent me the tracks only a few days before. He kept about forty untitled tracks for Fundamental Records and together we selected a perfect track list for the album. I was with all these melodies in my head all that weekend, I remember perfectly that feeling. Today I still have that special sensation that you can feel in all tracks composed by Rhys, something nostalgic with a big doses of happiness and hope in every note. When I was mastering his tracks I was like a young kid with a new record in my hands, each track is great, even the interludes are very special compositions.I am sure the people who support the projects we release in Fundamental Records will support this album not only for the circumstances but mainly because the quality of the tracks from someone with only 24 years... this is sad. I feel a deep emptiness inside of me because Rhys never listened the final tracks mastered... we released each track with the original references Rhys used for his tracks, except two tracks included in the very special 7. This feeling is something I can't explain in words, and it is very difficult to carry within me. The next monday after his death I was like out of my body, we had a mountain of work with the shipping of the 808 Box but I felt totally paralyzed, my wife Anais and I could hardly speak, we were speechless for some minutes, looking to the screen of the computer trying to understand what happened, then I decided I have to do what I said to Rhys only two days before, and I opened the player in my laptop and I started to work in the design for the cover with the music of Rhys in repeat mode. I was in front of the screen all day, printing many sketches and color variations.I called Fundamental Records to our label for a very good reason and this project deserves this adjective in full effect. For the same reason I also decided to release this album under the real name of the artist, Rhys Celeste and use his music name, Microlith, for the title.
