Now Messrs Moonboots & Boardman turn the page on the next chapter in the Nado story with the earthly delights of number 11. The wrapping has changed but the gift inside is the same; blissed-out beats and sumptuous melodies perfect for the dancers and the dreamers out there.

For this latest release, our generous hosts invite a new star from the east to take us on a journey through textured sound and rhythmic pulse. A Vision Of Panorama greet us shrouded in secrecy and the mist of the unknown, preferring to speak through music than idle words.

'Southern Breeze' drifts out of the speaker on a swirl of circular sequences, driven onwards by a playful rhythm and the warm rumble of an irresistible bassline. As exotic as the title suggests, this comforting groove sways and shimmies with the delicate swell of a heat haze, setting the scene for the tropical glide of 'Time Capsule'.

This blissful serenade of transcendent chords and harmonies moves the soul as much as the feet; A Vision Of Panorama perfectly balancing the airy synth melodies with the organic weight of bass and marimba. And when you're dealing in such exotic and esoteric sounds with tropical tonality and rhythm split through a technological prism, there's only one man you can trust to reshape those sounds the right way. And thus Andras Fox returns on remix duty taking 'Time Capsule' into his tranquil world of proto-house basslines, clean and precise melodies and lilting island rhythms. It's another future classic from the antipodean producer.

On the B-Side, 'Cascade' eschews the coastal scenes and salty air in favour of a midnight drive through the back streets of the city, pairing tough drums with a heavy boogie bassline as cinematic synthlines bloom through the concrete.

'Solar Eclipse' sees A Vision Of Panorama deliver a stunning curtain call that sounds every bit like a lost end of night gem from a forgotten era. Fragile mandolin, swelling synths, rhythmic fusion and rounded bass tumble over each other to create a delicate combination of subtlety and power, taking the Quintus Project blueprint into uncharted territories.

Once again Nado have cast the net wide to shower us with sonic wonders; this is paradise music.

Always in search of ancient mysteries' - Pascal Pinkert a.k.a. Dollkraut celebrates a mystical love for the space age which leaves the listener breathless with its celestial romanticism. Amalgamating influences from 80's Electro Funk, A and B-movie soundtracks to 70's easy listening, the Dutch composer, synth-wizard and vocalist creates a distinctive aesthetic that's both nostalgic and futuristic. His debut LP 'Schimanski's Black Lullabies' bellows 'Cinema' throughout its wide-spread and epic travel and using vintage vocoders and filters, Dollkraut sings haunting themes on several of the albums songs.
After years of releasing singles on Doppelschall, !K7 and Permanent Vacation amongst others, Dollkraut finally presents his debut LP 'Schimanski's Black Lullabies'; a release that marks his return to Brandt Brauer Frick and their co-owned label The Gym but - more importantly - his florescence as a producer of daring and idiosyncratic electronic music.
The album is inspired not only by the sounds of the 60's, 70's and 80's but more specifically by a kind of cult zeitgeist of each respective era. Nourished by TV programs like "The Scene" and by OSTs, it's flecks of Miami Bass and Off-key Electronica coupled with the use of B-Movie snippets all work to provide a true insight into Dollkraut's depth as a producer.
With a clear and consistent narrative throughout, the LP opens out for 'Rollercoaster' that initiates a purposeful charge though churning organ tones and walking guitar melodies before a cinematic theme opens up the landscape even more which works to contradict any expectations of a House music album people may have had after Dollkraut's dancefloor hit "Loot". This sequence theme, which seems to evoke the spirits of movie composers Bruno Nicolai or Guido & Maurizio de Angelis, is reprised two times further on the album, creating a framework and a lesson on superb re-instrumentation at the same time. Back on the dancefloor, the deliciously mangled 80's synth-pop tones of 'The Stars And You' take the foreground with a haunting vocal line that makes this song an early highlight on the album as it spreads an elegant breakdance vibe.
'NSFW' follows up with synth stabs and squelching blobs of acid scattered over a broken, late 70's Electro beat before 'Fire' omits a ghostly, sunken glow that hypnotizes with nothing more than a vocal, a darkly shining pad, a kick and a snare.
The tumbling Samba rhythms and Arabesque melodies of 'Zaghrouta' then give way to the haunting minor-key and vocoder combination in 'The Scene' which precedes the predominantly drum machine driven dancefloor destroyer 'Theme Of Fukoyama. The scattered hats and spring reverberated claps of 'Amadou' are then followed by another standout song: 'Yushkevic', with especially emotional vocals by Dollkraut. Melody and harmonies are equally reminiscent of traditional music from the Middle Orient and from the Balkans. 'Yushkevic' will also appear on a single together with 'The Stars And You' and remixes of both songs.

The reflective and psychedelic dream world of Footprintz debut LP 'Escape Yourself' is fully unleashed on the Visionquest imprint this March and next single 'Uncertain Change' is one of the twelve glowing examples of the duos' esteemed sonic and lyrical wonder. Reworked here by two of dance music's finest auteurs, Audion aka Matthew Dear and Maceo Plex ride in full effect.
With a distinct coming of age theme, 'Uncertain Change' is a perfect slice of dreamy synth-pop. Anchored by a powerful bassline, uplifting melodies inflected with new wave nostalgia blend into softly spoken vocals heavy with melancholy as the underlying sense of what it feels like to be young and unsure is ever present. Warped electric guitar strums add to a creeping darkness, but this is kept at bay by an overriding warmth and depth of soul that filters through. 'Uncertain Change' will transport the listener to an age of innocence.
The 'Maceo Plex Reconception' is endowed with the producers signature swing. Tailored for the disco, skipping pendulum beats and a heavier bass beat underpin the in tact phrasing of the original song leading up to a breakdown and powerful bassline drop.

In The 'Audion Loves You Mix' Mathew Dear in his Audion guise deconstructs the song and pieces it back together with an entirely transformative minimal tapestry of sounds. An epic reimagining of sparse electronic bleeps and warped vocals build into a majestic framework of fizzing tension and textured soundscapes. Ultimately remnants of the original melody fuse with Audion's epic groove as the track surges towards an optimistic end.

Jonny Cade is one of a number of young producers whose mature approach to music, DJing and production belies his relatively tender years.

From his residency at Leeds' Flux to productions on the likes of 2020:Vision, Kolour Recordings or Saints and Sonnets, Jonny has fast created a name for himself as an arist to watch out for.

Jonny's trademark sound is based on garage-house, but includes an ideal percentage of techno.

It really is all about Patrick Cowley's 13 minute plus 'Mega Mix' that goes off into the stratosphere (check from around the 6 minute mark for some mind bending out of this world production)... This is allegedly the first time Patrick Cowley used synthesisers and this mix is the blue print for his later remixes of Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" and Two Tons Of Fun "I Got The Feeling". If you've not heard this mix before or do not have this in your collection now is the time. Fully digitally re mastered from original reels.

Miguel Campbell is a burgeoning young star that shot to notoriety in 2011 after 'Something Special', his debut release on Hot Creations became one of the biggest tracks of the year.
This was a big intro for a young guy from the north of England but one year on and he proves that was just the tip of the iceberg as his debut album, the superbly crafted and pop infused 'Back In Flight School' reignites even more cross genre potential as Campbell explores where the highs of house meets the depths of soulful funk and disco nostalgia.
Set to put Miguel back in the end of year charts for a second year running, 'Back In Flight School' is a smooth and addictive ride that's rich in harmonies and contagious bass-lines. This thoughtfully executed and consistent combination from the opening title track to the closing moments leaves you feeling warm inside.

Disco Bucuresti is an audio homage to Romania's capital, Bucharest. Growing up between the city's communist blocks of flats and maturing in the city's underground discos left a distinct creative mark on Andrei Idu (The Legendary 1979 Orchestra). Ever since leaving Bucharest for Amsterdam, Andrei felt the need to tribute the place that shaped him. However, it was only until recently that he found the means necessary to express the feelings he felt. Thus, records released during the 70s and 80s in Romania as sole sample source, analog drum machines, delays, filters and reverbs, all recorded in live takes come together in this evocative EP.

The new TUGBOAT EDITS is a Chicago/NYC split 12" featuring TIM ZAWADA and CHRISSY (CHRIS E. PANTS/CHRISSY MURDERBOT). Starts with a "summer vibes" cut where TZ flexes his disco music followed by two alternative disco cuts from CHRISSY and ends with another new wave edit from TIM. Bright lights, big city vibes, obsessive moods and underwater house explosions on the second part of the Kulturkatzenjammer remixes.

On this second EP of Kulturkatzenjammer remixes, Madrid-based Rayko does rather a good job of making "Minolta" sound like a bright-lights-big-city production in the vein of Italians Do It Better. Parisian-via-Barcelona Toni Harispuru, better known as Golden Bug, reconstructs the anxious "This Vision" into something that stays close to the original, but somehow sounds even more obsessive and troubling. British producer Cottam, then, applies his trademark deep-house balm to the same tune so that it can tear the roof off the sucker any time of the week. Bomba!

A definitive highlight of 2012 was the unleashing of SASCHIENNE's debut longplayer UNKNOWN (KOMPAKT 255) which introduced the extensive fanbase of long-standing KOMPAKT ally Sascha Funke to his new project run in conjunction with partner in crime Julienne Dessagne. Considered by many to be one of the album's most epic cuts, the thriving GRAND CRU now sees its release as a double headliner, featuring a majestic live version and a gripping remix from the infallible PACHANGA BOYS. Fuelled by monolithic synth work and immersive vocals, the masterfully arranged UNKNOWN fulllength already makes for an intense experience, but it was SASCHIENNE's rollicking live presence that took everyone by surprise, with GRAND CRU in particular serving as a perfect show-stopper. While keeping the emotional impact at the forefront, the extended live version ups the ante and converts the intimate original into a full-blown space opera ready to throw eager dancers for an interstellar loop. After his highly acclaimed album Dripping Point in 2009, his first very own Tacky Dream EP and a nice remix for Marbert Rocel on Compost Black Label, Teheran (Iran) born DJ & producer Shahrokh Dini finally is back with a new 12". For this EP, he teamed up with production mastermind Jan Krause from Beanfield. Besides the album and some 12"s on Compost, Shahrokh's release history is spiced and bottled with lots of good house music on labels like MoodMusic, KID Recordings, BBE, People That Make The Music, Strictly Rhythm, Ministry Of Sound and others.

Michael Reinboth and the whole Compost family lovin' and callin' him: the real true p party animal. P stands for persian, passionated and in a positive meaning: pain in the DJ booth. Definitely you already have or will see him socialising at any good party, or if you catch his DJ vibe, it's trained, professional, gorgeous, fun, deep and paaarty, too. As DJ, Shahrokh is resident in Karlsruhe's Mood since more then a decade and recently got a new residency at "Trust" in Berlin. He usually spends the summer time in the southern territories of Europe, thus he will be part of the (Off-) Sonar Festival in Barcelona, ADE in Amsterdam and the party circus of Ibiza this year.

World Citizen 'Fulbert' joins the Soul Notes camp with an excellent release which is quite in the deep and raw end of House music. After remixes for labels such as Local Talk and Remote' Fulbert now comes up with his most personal works to date. 'Rawthentic City EP' contains raw and edgy pads with just as sharp drums which deliver a sort of calm but yet nervous vibe which is listenable and danceable at the same time. With three perfectly balanced productions Fulbert captures a moment in time and creates an excellent mesmerizing timeframe within his career.
The closing track Exodus is something different. True spiritual house music that tells a story without spoken words.

Time to welcome back a man like Recloose for his follow up to last years DOG debut Don't Get Me Wrong which got the likes of Mano Le Tough, KiNK, Tim Sweeney and Roman Fluegel all very hot under the collar. Matt Chicoine needs little by way of introduction having been releasing amazing music for two decades on esteemed labels such as Rush Hour, Peacefrog, Planet E and Sonar Kollektiv. Recloose continues to stay on top of his game, ensuring he stays in demand whether it be as a DJ, live as Recloose or as part of Carl Craig's Innerzone Orchestra. On top of all this the Detroit native but adopted Kiwi still manages to find time to provide the revered weekly radio show Hit It And Quit It on his home town of Auckland's George FM.

Title track It's Too Late picks up where Don't Get Me Wrong left off, melding a electronic freestyle jam which hints at a jazzed up version of UK bass with bouncing 808 kicks pinning down the bottom end and his Detroit influences squeezing their way into the fusion too.

You Just Love You heavies up the vibe with a stomping slice of expertly crafted filter disco. A tried and tested formula of course, but in the hands of a master like Recloose, the result is a fresh, floor-filling anthem chock full of peaktime energy.

Flipping over Matt treats us to some vintage Recloose-style business in the form of Backtrack. Bouncing beats, deep chords and vocal hits reminds us of the unique and brilliant music from his classic LP Cardiology.

Bulgarian duo 1000 Names debut on Kelpe's Drut Recordings with their fourth LP, Migration Pads - an elegant 10-track outing glowing with warmth and nostalgia. Following earlier releases on Black Acre, Eklektik and Project Mooncircle, 1000 Names are the next to join the Drut stable after Chesslo Junior's passionate debut back in May.

After bubbling up amongst the dynamic experimentalism of the global beat scene, it's little surprise that 1000 Names have come out the other end with an inbuilt knack for incredibly finessed sound design. Pushing play on Migration Pads opens up a flood of lush sonic environments, and a whole gust of local and international inspiration. Without losing the influence of MPC-led beat culture, the album manages to shift elegantly between soft-focus house compositions to spacious off-beat electronica and beyond.

1000 Names is a moniker taken from the famous Anish Kapoor sculpture, owing to the pair's early introductions to music and art (Margg started out as a drummer; Nikko, a painter). The new album is built of their open willingness to new forms and combining disparate styles: half-time technoid drum templates follow straight after fuzzy loops; footwork-honoured vocal loops stab through shimmering piano lines. It's all of it, and everything in between.

1000 Names' Eastern European heritage and geographic isolation have fostered in them a truly individual sound. The sun-baked sandscapes of their hometown Sofia loom large behind the album, manifesting in warm chords and textured synth washes. It's a glow of nostalgia that smoulders under the whole record, softening the jumpy beats and harder drum-mechanics that punctuate its clubbier passages. Without straining to do so, it is a record that dials up a whole range of emotion and feeling, from the loping triumph of opener 'The Caravan' all the way through to the washy melancholia of its final track, 'Winter Pool'.

Migration Pads is a tall creative landmark for 1000 Names, travelling far beyond their earlier beat-workouts to a much more mature sound-world built on a whole host of classic electronic influences. Still, there's one compelling echo that remains: you can still practically hear their beating fingers hammering the MPC. Migration Pads just takes their inherent musicality and amplifies it to heady new stratospheres.

Music is strongly linked to memory; sometimes just a simple note will trigger a deep feeling of nostalgia or emotion. The new Homesick series was created by music enthusiasts living half a world away from their birthplaces. Their concept is to play on memory, to re-edit and rework songs from the past into something which is timeless; tracks which feel fresh but remain true to the original.A

For the second release, the Homesick team went digging through old DAT tapes and have the honour to repress the mythic "Dance 6" vinyl 12" by DJ Kom.A It was originally released in 1997 and playlisted by Daft Punk in their "BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix" the very same year. Listen how Dance 6 pumped up these tracks with their Roland 909, 303 as well as vintage samplers, adding the inimitable grit that made these tracks absolute dance floor fillers back in the 90's.

People Must Jam have an undisputed three for three on the score board, and it comes as no surprise that this serious second innings in the Floor Jammers VA series is heading straight for the outfield too !

It's a truly international affair, as Chicago Disco Don Rahaan takes the lead with an irresistible uptempo Jazz-Funk rewire while UK producer Andy Ash is next up to the plate, rearranging and amping up a Teddy P classic

On the B, Tokyo's Beaten Space Probe takes on Millie Jackson's incendiary 'We Got To Hit It Off' (as recently hacked up by Tom Trago)

Globetrotting producer Guiddo debuts on Beats In Space Records with the Gin 'n Tears EP, three tracks of Balearic bliss featuring the soulful psalm of Greek-French vocalist Georges Perin.

 The record's title track lilts like a disco 45 at 33 rpm, Perin's croon rising higher and higher above Guiddo's bassline funk and expert riffage channeling Nile Rodgers' sultry stabs.
'I Miss You Now' glides on the seductive sunset vibe of 'Gin 'n Tears', while Perin pleads to 'lose that feeling tonight' in his characteristic falsetto.

The EP's finale, 'One Last Bite' captures the A-side's allegiance to the Balearic beat while riding into a pop-oriented realm that fits in with the best dancefloor ballads of the past thirty years. Guiddo elevates 'One Last Bite' with melodies made to soundtrack two lovers' farewell after a summer fling on the Mediterranean coast.

Each 12" on Beats in Space Records features original artwork in considerate and serial form. Nicole Ginelli abstracts the tone palette of Gin 'n Tears into a canvas of party survival tools, fittingly bright and ecstatic. ALESSIO NATALIZIA'S NOT WAVING PROJECT JOINS THE LABEL FOR THE FIRST ALBUM OF 2014. EXPANDING ON THE SONIC EXPERIMENTATION OF HIS DEBUT UMWELT RELEASE HERE HE EXPLORES FURTHER HIS INDUSTRIAL AND MELODIC INFLUENCES. 2013 was a good year for Mr Natalizia. Breaking out of his musical (comfort) zone and touring schedule as one half of Kompakt Records stars Walls, a deeper side to his music oeuvre was shown on the excellent Not Waving debut, Umwelt, before then going on to compile the killer "Mutazione" compilation of Italian New Wave 1980-1988 for Strut Records. Spanning 9 tracks Human Capabilities takes the sound of Umwelt and the subsequent super limited cassette only "reinterpretations" of Redacted and mixes harder percussive tracks alongside explorations of melody through ambient pieces that close each side. On titles Mathematical Man, Double Blind and Defensive Function, industrial and kosmische percussion is pushed to the fore, while Power Source Above Beam Line is the closest thing to a club track Alessio has produced outside of Walls. However, it's the more melodic Future Rain, Etosha Pan Aderci and the closing Satie homage, Conscious/Subliminal that a new side to the project can be heard. Having been named after a This Heat song, Not Waving is developing beyond that to go as far as the album title suggests. With a pressing of just 400 copies before more new music comes from Not Waving, plus material due from Walls and the planned return of guitar based side-project, Banjo Or Freakout, all coming later this year, 2014 looks to be a more exciting year for Mr Natalizia than ever before.

Galaxy Love - A smooth G-ride into interstellar ecstasy featuring a seductive lead vocal with vocoder backing, squealing vintage synths and an unexpectedly P-Funk final minute. One to bump from your lowrider.
Didn't I - A higher tempo track with an early 80s Britfunk influence (Freeez, Hi-Tension, Level 42) The groove is driven along by a propulsive synth bassline and greasy rhythm guitar, providing back up for a classic blue-eyed soul vocal.

Dating from tape recordings made between 1996 - 2012, Cosmic Vibrations follows the Tropical Psychedelics (ERS003) album for the label, this time digging deeper in to the mind of Secret Circuit than the more dance flor inspired sounds heard on last years album Tactile Galactics album for Beats In Space. Again we glimpse a melting pot of pyschedelia, techno, balearic and ambient to create an electronic gem, but all done with a wry smile and jesters wink rather than today's penchant of moody seriousness. Life on the US West Coast shines from the album, from opener Out West to She Got Love, sunshine music that couldn't be made anywhere else. It's not all hippy-happy vibes though with Minimal Vibrations and the dub of Straightline taking things in to deeper and instropective territory. However, all things resonate in Eddie's analogue meets kitchen sink synthesis. Layer after layer flats across the album to create a smile-inducing whole. Journeying from the folk guitar of Somnambulation to the minimilism of Glass Skeletons, before bidding a fond farewell in the apt, Bells. This second and fial collection of early cassette works is not an end, but a blessing.

Covers don't often work, and to cover a song of this calibre would surely be suicide, but there are always exceptions. killer, killer version of this Donna Summer classic, tight bass line and percussion great strings, awesome stabs and vocal orgasams that all combine to make this a great alternative to the original.

This December, the compilation Disco Sympathie will be released on Versatile, it's author is Vidal Benjamin, an outstanding DJ / Digger, considered by his pals as one of the most brilliant in his category, and that says a lot! On this Disco Sympathie, Vidal Benjamin makes us rediscover the sound that was so characteristic of a certain early eighties french scene : Wacky, Happy, Dancing and at times even poetic. One begins to travel through an era during which the french producers were not afraid to tackle disco, american boogie, british and german synth wave, to present us their version : french, poppy and above all ... Fun !

International Feel label boss Mark Barrott loves obscure library music. An avid collector, he
is forever searching it out in far flung parts of the world, heading off on lengthy journeys with the hope of finding that one tape or record that might bring a new sense of meaning and diversity to his collection.

On one such trip a few years ago he found a cassette release from what appeared to be a library composer called Len Leise at the bottom of a bargain bin in a charity shop in Paris. Titled Songs for Sunsets it was self released and featured what sounded like the early use of synths, drum machines and oceanic percussion. There was little information about Len, no dates of the recordings, contact information or clues that could lead to the artist's exact whereabouts. What was known was that the tape was made in Australia and consisted of 8 songs that all played on different themes around the sun.

Barrott got some people in Australia to do a bit of detective work (he was lucky to have a friend working at the ABC in Sydney), and they eventually tracked Len to somewhere in the Dandenong Ranges in eastern Victoria. Len revealed to Mark that he had destroyed the original masters of Songs for Sunsets, but after a lengthy correspondence Barrott persuaded him to get back into the studio and record some new material. On a recent trip to Melbourne it finally happened—inspired by Leise's time in the Ranges, Music for Forests is the result.

The people involved in this EP are: Chris de Multifunkshun a virtuoso multi instrumentalist, who counts the double bass and piano as his main loves, the female vocals come by the hand of the Amazing twins Amandine and Melody, The Modet Sisters all put together by the incredible producer Thomas Blanchot better known as Mato, who counts on his credits his album of Dub version of Daft Punk's Homework which was released on June this year.

Artists that have shown appreciation for Everywhere include Soul Clap, Tanner Ross, In Flagranti and Trevor Jackson just to name a few.
