While Steve Davis may be scouring the second hand market, filling his collection with top dollar psyche obscurities, it's fair to say that Moonboots and Boardman have the rare Balearic market covered.

From the sunkissed tones of North African thumb piano to the camp sleaze of European disco, Aficionado have everything in your wantlist and more; those mythical records you need but have yet to imagine.

One such artefact is a collection of future primitive symphonies from the unheralded Len Leise, a visionary composer of organic soundscapes who lives hidden in the same dreamworld as his music. Rumours are rife as to where Aficionado found this cassette of rainforest swelter; some say Moon found it buried in a vault in the red sand of the outback, while others suggest Jason discovered the tape propping open a door in a backstreet off La Rambla.
Either way, we're spared the exhaustive search thanks to this gorgeous 12" vinyl pressing.

The five tracks drift out the speakers like the perfumed smoke of ceremonial incense, filling the senses with the sound and feeling of a distant land; field recordings from another time and place.

In its original form, 'Asmat Images' pairs tribal rhythms and rich organic textures, balancing earthy tones with the gentle melody of rainfall on cracked soil, while the ambient mix echoes the tranquility of a Jan Hammer soundtrack thanks to widescreen guitar licks.

For his mixes, Sonny really proves that he has a cultured understanding of house music from across the ages. The whole thing is littered with plenty of his own magical and wholly exclusive tracks, including Shake, The Definition & OCD, while the mixes feature three upfront tasters from his forthcoming artist album (Always Gonna Be, Over This and All The Reasons), all of which prove what a consistent and prolific producer he is. Along the way Sonny works with talented new school vocal stars like Alex Mills, Janai and Shannon Saunders and proves with his many remixes that he is just as great at adding his own stamp on the work of others as he is at conjuring up fresh beats of his own. Mix 1 is a largely Sonny focussed affair with many exclusive cuts of his, as well as his brand new remix of Gershon Jackson's 'Take It Easy' alongside Mat.Joe. Mix 2 finds him mixing up his own work with some key influences such Classic man Seven Davis Jr, Dirtybird boss Claude VonStroke and new school stars like Josh Butler. There is no doubt Peter Brown's P&P is one hell of an eclectic label. Enter Jesse Gould's Powerful protest song 'Out of Work', a song that could have easily fit better at the Harlem Cultural Festival in the summer of '69 than at a Disco in '77. A regular at David Mancuso's Loft, this fast-paced funk jam borderlines disco. However more Sly Stone than Disco Inferno, the realities of Harlem were all here on display. Produced and arranged by Billy Nichols, 'Out of Work' showcases the qualities that made him famous - Funky Rhythms rooted from his time at Motown, Big Strings and special attention to the Drum Section. Another incredibly rare record, another incredible opportunity to own what the Disco black market has priced for more than a Day's Work minimum wage.

Following 2013's fantastical 'Heat Crime', Tim further explores his unique take on house music with two original tracks which make stylistic nods to the past but lead us elatedly to a place of uncommon and personal vision. On the A side we have 'Squiggles', a late night piece of tentacled whimsy. A joyful frolic in a fishy stream under the stars and in the Japanese garden of your soul. 'Like U Want Me 2' is a missive from yearning loins to a beloved recipient, "whilst we're both on earth in these fleshy suits". An unminced declaration of desire from one luminous blue erotic body to another. On the B side we found just the creature to flip Tim's script and deliver a singular rework. The Mole burrows further than we ever expected, dragging 'Squiggles' into unexplored territory deep within his underground tunnel network and having his way with it for the length of a short film. Timothy Blake is an Irish born electronic musician based in Berlin. After some years building up his studio and knowledge in the early to mid 90s, Tim began attempting to emulate the prevalent disco sounds of late 90s dance music, inadvertently developing his own sound. Later absorbing the atmospheric and stylistic influence of filmmakers such as Robert Altman, Nicolas Roeg and Brian de Palma, Tim felt inspired to make music reflecting similar moods and themes. By the mid 2000s Tim was a regular feature on Dublin's live music and DJ circuit. Following projects that didn't come to fruition with early influences Derrick May and Mad Mike Banks, he beat a retreat from the clubbing scene and concentrated on his compositions. However a later move to Berlin has seen Tim find a voice with releases on Kleine Reise Records, Dirt Crew, Fatty Fatty Phonographics and Lectric Sands NY.

Little do people know that Coober Pedy is an opal rich town buried deep within the red and arid outback of South Australia. Lewie Day (aka Tornado Wallace) and Tom Moore may be from Melbourne, but the duo make up the Coober Pedy University Band, coining the term "Krautback" to describe this Moon Plain EP. Drawing upon italo synths and mid-tempo Balearica as inspiration, the first release comes in 10" form via Soft Rocks' Kinfolk label. The reverb washed Australian crooner Chet Faker appears on the title track "Moon Plain" alongside heavy struck piano chords, while "Sentenced Beyond The Seas" is a flow of groggy atmospheres and downtempo beats. "Oblong" is the the EPs stand out italo track with short bass arpeggios a highlight, while Soft Rocks "Acperience" mix of "Moon Plain" takes on an acidic and space western theme.

Speeding through the neon sky and hunting replicants everywhere...Deckard makes his debut on To Rack & Ruin.

First up is Sean Lives which, stomps along with enough guitar twangs and honky tonk piano chords that would make this cut sound right at home at a James Brown after party. A catchy vocal throughout before an almighty breakdown that sneaks in one of the finest saxophone solos heard since that guy in The Lostboys.

On Rustic Rage Deckard joins Paper Recordings' debauched debonair of disco Flash Atkins taking in a lesser known cut from "The Man In Black" himself. We start things off with a solid 4/4 kick alongside a guitar loop that build n builds n builds like a dance floor locomotive albeit one that's draped with squelchy synths & popping percussion before dropping with vocals that's guaranteed to cause hand blisters from a serious clap along...

Super powers are uniting on the new UY070! One track, four versions and all magic. "My Space"- the floor monster- was created by our Upon You man with the historical analogue-park: Sierra Sam. He doesn't only know much about synths- he knows a lot of people too. For example KiNK could be disembarked for the record, who is seen as one of the best club-producer of the present. On top of that he has managed to get the american house legend Hollis P. Monroe & Overnight into the boat who- many years ago- created a real house evergreen with the title "I'm Lonely". Out of this emerged enough energy to cut down a whole forest. Besides the original- a very unique "hardcore interpretation" from KiNK and a self created "home studio mix" by Hollis P. & Overnight, label master Marco Resmann approached the joint together with his companion Norman Webber and bread out a Luna City Express remix. Being great KiNK fans the two made their best effort to dress up this wild power-release into a serious evening dress.

After a furious release by Atlantis' best kept secret Cuttlefish & Asparagus entitled Hang On In There, KALAKUTA SOUL RECORDS meticulously puts a new twelve together you'd want to throw your hands upon immediately. Always referring to Sadar Bahar as one of the most influential cats to their work, the crew behind the label hasn't stopped crying ever since they received the tracks. And although we've pinched them a couple of times, they still can't seem to believe this really is coming true. Can you Now it surely isn't the first time the world's coolest cat has released a couple of his rare edits. But you surely are still dancing and sweating to his unforgettable Chicken Wing Edits series and have been wondering, what this guy's been doing. Well, Soul in The Hole's true soul and Dj's Dj Sadar Bahar has been travelling around the world giving everybody a serious lesson in soul music that he calls Disco Beatdown. Some brothers would also name Sadar's ceremonies 'exorcism", which pretty much leads us back to the tracks released on this fantastic sounding 12 Disco Single.

'We Start Over' arrived on the desks at International Feel and it felt perfect for us. Deep electronics, a lovely mood, forward thinking and a gorgeous vocal from Trudie Dawn Smith. Lots to play with from a remix perspective and a great original track in itself. Steve Cobby is a British producer, musician, composer, and DJ, based in Kingston-upon-Hull, Yorkshire. He co-founded Fila Brazillia in 1990 and released 10 critically acclaimed LP's and produced over 70 remixes for artists as diverse as Radiohead, Busta Rhymes, Black Uhuru and A Certain Ratio. Cobby now releases music via his own label Déclassé label. His latest and third solo LP 'Saudade' was released in March 2014 and received considerable critical acclaim.

The first 12" consists of the original version and on the flip a remix by Apiento & Lx (their first track together since the underground classic 'The Orange Place' ). The remix is slow trance in its purest sense, made for lasers and dark nightclubs. It's already receiving club play and has been named by Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston's ALFOS as "one of the records of the summer". High praise.

On the second 12" the reins have been handed to Gerd Janson & Phillip Lauer a.k.a Tuff City Kids - two people making some of the finest house at their at the moment with Janson also getting massively known globally for his DJing. Their remixes are made for the clubs. The 'Garage Dub' is classic New York house that is as deep as you like and one of those hooky ones that does everything perfectly. The other, 'Private Acid Mix ' goes heavy on the beats and drops the 303 in a fine style with the vocal looped and twisted.

As you would expect from International Feel this is classy and classic club music covered from all angles from a balearic original, a deep chug remix from Apiento & Lx and the Tuff City Kids bringing the house vibe. Deep deep deep.

Can We Melt The Ice is one of those mystery records that collectors love so dearly. Very little is known about it, other than that it appeared on Plush Records sometime around 1982 or '83. It was written and produced by Chicago producer Morris J Williams, whose sweet vocal provides a vocal point for the track's sensual boogie vibes - all lilting horns, subtle synthesizers and shuffling grooves. Brilliantly, this reissue from Finland's constantly on-point Traveller Records also boasts a previously unreleased longer version, which naturally extends the track's wonderful instrumentation in all the right places. Recommended.

After an LP by Red Axes and an EP by Bot'Ox earlier this year, I'm A Cliché is back in the saddle with a new look and a new feel while keeping the same great sound. Two EPs including this one are going to be released on both digital and vinyl formats this Fall, leading up to very special 10th anniversary celebrations in Paris towards the end of the year.

DARK HORSE A robust drum groove, a syncopated bass line, a galloping cowbell and treated drum fills mingle with hypnotic arpeggios and dramatic pads to create an ominous feeling. Opening the EP with melody and style, MOSCOMAN reminds us here of his dark horse quality: he might be a mysterious outsider but boy does he have the skills to get dancefloors moving.

REROTICA A mesmerising bass sequence with a no-frills beat. Somewhere in between disco and EBM, it's already a sensual affair with the music alone but MOSCOMAN's libidinous vocals give an unmistakably erotic feel to the track. Clocking at 106 BPM, this slow burner is the perfect tune to initiate body to body dancing and to make sweat drip from the walls.

EGO TRIPPIN A slapped bass and a funky drum beat are at the core of this track. Adding layer upon layer of eerie synths, creepy vocals, subtle drums lo-fi effects, this track is both groovy and psychedelic. There's a hint of electro-funk nostalgia and a dash of gothic post-punk which gives EGO TRIPPIN that je-ne-sais-quoi required to take dancefloors to the next level.

Kid Crème, one of the most enigmatic figures in electronic music is back with a new track 'Look For Me' a collaboration with NZ producer Jolyon Petch. This is an official vinyl release on his own Illegal Beats label.

Bruno Pronsato's debut album as Archangel, The Bedroom Slant, released in 2014, saw the producer update the style he has developed over the last decade on labels such as Hello Repeat, Perlon, DFA and The Song Says, and in the process, manifesting his love of pop, rock and post-punk in his music for the first time. On this EP, selected album tracks from the debut Archangel album are reworked by Dean Blunt, Peter Gordon & Oliver Coates.

Opener "El Dorado" is a curious affair, taking loops from a long-forgotten, disco-era Spanish dance record and turning it into a rolling, late night chugger. Arguably even better is "Limitless & Free", which cuts up and rearranges a suitably obscure chunk of stoner funk-rock. Wisely, they emphasize the low-slung groove, rising strings and swirling synthesizers, occasionally utilizing select sections of the original's sleazy, come-to-bed vocal.

Nathan Melja is the same young Frenchman whose debut EP we released under the name Melja late last year. Since then, he moved to New York and worked at Mister HQ for a few months, manned the light booth at the Mister Saturday Night and Mister Sunday parties (DJs make the best light guys), and spent most of his time outside that making music. Leo Draws is the culmination of that music-making, two murky but beautiful tracks centered around vocal samples and one off-kilter number aimed at the dark corners of the dancefloor.
