JD Twitch was lucky to score a copy and both tracks became firm favourites in his sets and much asked about. Twitch felt this music deserved a wider audience so was kindly granted permission to reissue it on Optimo Trax.

What's this unidentified vinyl object After Nuno dos Santos' striking Trigonometry of Love EP, Something Happening Somewhere presents a killer four track remix pack that let's others retell the story in their own way. Far Out Radio Systems, Fader From Borneo, Mark Du Mosch and Polynation are all presenting their version on an exclusive 'white label'. Containing a special silkscreen printed remix of the original artwork, every edition of this one is truly unique and a collector's item to behold.

REPRESS ALERT: Parrish Smith's debut of dystopic forbidding sets the tone of this label's impressive first release with a superb stark, acid ridden slab of body music. Helena Hauff adds to the proceedings with her remix of Pankow's"Das Vodkalied" taking no prisoners and using heavy percussion in contrast to a wonderfully tense set of arpeggiations, which all descend into skull crushing pressure. Carrying over to the flip side are Pankow, pioneers of the Italian Industrial/EBM scene, with two tracks from their legendary first tape "Throw Out Rite" from 1983. With "Das Vodkalied" disembodied vocals are cut up and come from every direction driven by a raw, off-kilter energy and pounding beat. "I'm Food For You" cranks up the drive and anxiety to create a killer track based around stark arpeggiation. Last of all, Perseus Traxx provides an acidic stripped down venting of frustrations which he spits out with vehemence.

Tin Man a.k.a. Johannes Auvinen is of Finnish descent, having lived all his life in Los Angeles. Tin Man says his tracks relate to the history and mood of acid house. Tin Man updates the sound of 80s Chicago acid sound to the 21st century. Maybe one can find in Tin Man's sound some comparisons to such as Laurent Garnier's and Ludovic Navarre's acid projects: Choice, Shazz, Deepside. Tin Man's "Love Sex Acid" 12" (life12in-17) comes up with three 303 excursions, 'Falling Acid' includes a gloomy Satie-esque intro, the sound then growing into clattering snares and a slowly but steadily increasing 303 pulse melody and some metallic sounds until slowly fading away. 'Let's Do It Acid' features 303 bass writhing hypnotically like a snake to some click-clack snare sounds and a haunting whisper sample. 'Love And Sex Acid' is acid sound in deep house mode with some tasty electronic piano-like licks to boot.

Gian and Massimiliano Pagliara step up for a joint acid house venture on Lackrec.

Rediscovered and forgotten tracks from the obscure Kansas based musician and producer Karlos Moran. Stumbled upon and signed up by Luca Lozano of Klasse Wrecks and Grafiti Tapes fame, who liked Karlos' music so much he decided to start a new label (Moran Music Group) dedicated totally to the Moran sound. Somewhere in-between US House, Deep-Acid and proto-mutant-house Paradise Garage anthems the 5 track EP conjures up the sound of pure innocence, good intentions and an existence totally outside of any current scene. Essential and bonafide!

South California's acid maestro SFV ACID is featured on the third release by Third Try Records, the Pettyclubber EP, which includes artwork hand drawn by the artist himself. 5 original tracks and one remix that brings together long time friends and collaborators SFV Acid, Suzanne Kraft and Secret Circuit with their first studio collaboration ever committed to wax.

No. The disorganisation founded by Atom™ + Material Object in 2013 to advance the cause of faceless audio output by No. One in particular are cataloging their 3rd year of Existence with No. III No. III continues the centuries long tradition, invented by the label masterminds in 2013, of remixing the very concept of a 'compilation' by slicing, remixing, autotuning and YouTubing the entire year of the label's output into the blender for a completely new cocktail that goes beyond merely re-packaging previously released product. Although 2016 was a relatively light year for No. in terms of hours of audio output, a famous German philosopher once wrote 'A Samurai's Life is not Measured in Length' and the mix features two previously unreleased works by the label owners: 'Still D/A' by Atom™ and 'III' by Material Object. No. III successfully represents the material released on the label between May 2016 - May 2017 as well as some now declassified transcripts of past communications and unreleased excerpts from future efforts, stitched together with Frankensteinian precision and brought to life on the operating table with a blast of atomic energy.

This is an exciting one for us, it has to be said. We're nearing our 200th Freerange release and in that whole time there's only been one rissue of a previously available track, that being Blackjoy's 'Untitled'.

Almost ten years on and it's time to indulge ourselves once more by presenting you with two of our all time favorite house tracks, which incidentally both happen to be by Chicagoans Hula, Maurice Joshua, Martell Steward and Craig Simpkins - better known as Da Posse. Many of you will probably know 'In the Heat Of The Night' which was released on Future Records in 1988 and some of you might even have a copy on vinyl. If so then good for you because the original is currently changing hands for serious money because somewhat strangely there don't seem to have been any obvious edits or white labels of these particular Da Posse tracks and certainly no official re release on vinyl or digital. We hope you agree that with club music like this sounding every bit as mind blowing today as it did in 1988 it seems only right to help introduce such innovative, influential and timeless music to a wider audience.

Opening up the release we have the Vocal Mix of 'In The Heat Of The Night' in all it's raw, stripped back beauty. In our opinion this has to be right up there at the pinnacle of Chicago house from the late 80's and certainly managed to make a huge impact four thousands miles away in Essex where Tom and myself discovered it aged seventeen. You only have to listen to tracks such as Steffi's Yours to hear the profound influence of tracks like this on modern house music.

Flipping over we have the more laid back, late night affair known as In The Life in it's Keys Mix incarnation. This one gives a nod to Da Posse's counterparts over in Detroit with a rolling DX bassline but balancing out the cold, metallic minimalism with warm, soulful pads and chiming melodies. It's very easy to see how much of an impact this early 90's gem had on UK producers like Future Sound Of London and 808 State even though it went relatively under the radar at the time of its release.

We really hope you enjoy these amazing tracks and supporters can look forward to fresh re edits from The Black Madonna, Parris Mitchell and Jimpster coming very soon.

From groovy basslines to fucked-up hard techno, the 4th Acid Avengers EP is a real punch to the stomach.

Ovum's 20th birthday celebrations continue with Josh Wink's 'Talking To You"! With such an impeccable track record for his original productions, any news of an impending Josh Wink release is usually met with a familiar mix of excitement and trepidation. When the bar is perpetually raised to such lofty heights, what can one man do to keep such momentum going The answer, naturally, is to slam the listener with the kinetic intensity of a full on jackhammer acid assault, and that's exactly what 'I'm Talking To You' does. A swelling TB 303 motif contorts and swims around a vocal snippet, distorted and chopped to mind-bending effect in classic Wink style. Make no mistakes, the Philly godfather still reigns supreme; Wink is here, and he's talking to you. The release also features a (subjectively) more subdued 'Groove' mix, and a signature 'TalkApella' tool for DJ sets.

After 20 years as a dj and several releases on labels just like Anthony Rother´s Datapunk, Dave Clarke´s Whitenoise or co-labs with Gez Varley from LFO, Frank Kusserow took a longer break from the active electronic music scene. In the meantime he produced tons of new tracks that result in his new and vinyl only imprint Sprow Recordings. The name Sprow comes from his career as a BMX professional in the early 80´s and the logo of the label was created in that time also. Herewith he fulfills his long term dream to start a record label, where he only decides about the musical output. The labels philosophy is to always feature different styles on each release, from straight Techno to Acid, Dub, Detroit and more electro influenced or melodic stuff.

The first release "Mind the Acid EP" includes 3 tracks. "Mind the Acid" on the A-Side is a straight forward and epic acid stomper. "Altered States" on B1 is a hypnotic, more melodic piece of techno and "Dub Reason Pt.1" closes the EP with more dubby and quiet vibes. Stay tuned for more releases coming soon on Sprow Recordings.

Anyone who followed the development of house music made in the usa in the last decade will certainly have met the art of Fred Peterkin aka Fred P aka Black Jazz Consortium.

His musical set phrase isn't following new trends. Fred is often simply melting shuffling percussions with elementary melodies. but he does it in a sense that the heavy used and abused phrase "deepness" finally gets a fresh truthfully new meaning.

This new project is directed by Miho in collaboration with Robert Drewek, the owner of respected label RAWAX. It is a special edition 'RAWAX - AIRA EP vinyl series".

Shipwrec are turning some deserved attention to those pioneering plinks and plonks for a 12" homage to the trailblazers of the sound, LFO. Quadratschultz provides the material, the German artist serving a warehouse brewed, acid spiked, tribute to Mark Bell and Gez Varley. Posthuman ruffle the edges that bit more with a bleary eyed 303 monster before countryman FAH gives basslines a steroid injection for a thick and meaty mix. Varley closes with a tribute to his former group. His LFO remix might be a solo endeavour but it has all the raw unrefined dancefloor energy that characterised the music of a certain pair of young lads from Leeds cerca 1990. Bleep bliss.

Originally released in 1992 on the "Panic In Detroit" Compilation, this is one of Dan Curtin's finest deep techno tunes. The original version was carefully refurbished from the reel to reel tape and got a new mixdown. The "MU-TH-UR 6000-Remix" by Kim Brown transfers the original tune into a subtle deep house journey. Johannes Regnier stays with his "Replicant Remix" more close to the original version but knows how to arrange the single parts into a new sound odyssey. Orson Wells destroyed in his "Terminator Version" nearly everything from the original track and created a dark trip through lonely, post-apocalyptic landscapes.

Aelfric Michael Avery has been a self-reliant artist for a long time. The Canadian producer has been exploring underground acid and rough, homemade techno since releasing his first material as Avery Monarch back in 1994. However it wasn't until more than ten years later that his music would surface again on his own Napalm Enema label. Varied projects such as Electrokinesia and Crown Jewel have yielded scores of digital EPs and albums, while Napalm Enema has also carried work by the likes of FaltyDL, Paul Blackford and Mrs Jynx. Avery has released just as much music under his Acid Elf guise, most notably appearing alongside +10 Acid Crew (Jodey Kendrick) for the sought-after Bruvs Acid EP, and now the alias makes a welcome return to vinyl with four essential tracks from the archives. There's a subdued, hypnotic and delirious quality to the productions on this EP for Arma, ranging from the uneasy delay pulses of 'Fetus' to the metallic clamour of 'Urban Wasteland', but most importantly they're all injected with a distinctive personality that stands apart from the 303-tweaking masses. This is undoubtedly acid music, but it crackles with an energy far removed from the same cookie-cutter Chicago knock-off formula that so many turn out these days. Talking about the creation of these tracks, Avery explained that they were recorded between 2009 and 2010 in Parksville, a town by the ocean on Vancouver Island. The equipment list used for the sessions includes many perennial favourites such as the 606, 707, 808, 909, Jupiter 6, 101, 303, MS-20 and a Dopefer modular, all run through an erratic RE-201 Space Echo for extra analogue crust.

After more than 2 years of waiting Berlin-based artist Fabian Dikof is back with a new release on Best Works Records his EP the "Who".
His trade-mark sound remains: catchy arpeggio-sounds with tech-house synth usage.
With these elements he creates a very mature tapestry that gives the tune great dynamic play in its rhythmic morphosis.
The track "Camouflage" features Berlin-based vocalist Ann Weller from the band Ann & Bones.
Last but not least remixer Dubspeeka reworks the original giving it a more minimal techno-flavour and with its tool-character it hits the dance-floor full on.
The "Who" EP is yet another great stepping stone for Fabian Dikof. There is more to come from this gifted producer.
