Effective Weapons - Tear Gas

Brooklyn's Effective Weapons return with another useful weapon for your record box; 'Tear Gas' includes four relentless tracks bristling with techno-industrial carnage. Dark S&M flavor abounds on the lead track 'Controversy', a powerful- slow motion burner with super sleazy samples and ultra-heavy rave sounds. 909 workout techno makes up 'Dominator' which is based around an extraction from the Klinik. The B Side includes 'Bun Hope!' and 'Take a PIL' which also edit freely from industrial 80s jams and inject them with the EW flavour. First 100 copies include tear gas insert that provides all the documentary evidence you ever need to see. LIMITED TO 250 COPIES.

12inchFUN004
Fun rec.
13.02.2017

Fun Records' fourth release signed by startling producer Neik represents all that Barem and Alexis Cabrera once expected when they settled their label's playground. Because Nicolas Neik's debut can be considered definitely as unique: his three tracks are like three priceless tickets to explore an enhanced electronic music game based on a limitless creativity balanced with a strict self-demand. Neik's taste and skills increasingly captivated both Fun founders, but he rarely wanted to share his own sounds. Why Nicolás Neik studio's basis are far away from sharing everything online, his creative strength invigorates massive brainstormings and only outstandingly stops the work in progress finishing a track. Therefore, Fun004 must be unveiled, and enjoyed, and Mike Shannon's F9M remix is what grants a last outstanding coup de grâce: ethereal atmosphere, slippery vocals, padded white noise and a feverish bass create an electrifying dialogue with Neik's F9M and the whole EP's direction. From EXP to MEV, each Neik's track bends straight minimalist sounds to welcome a new vibrant vision of forward-thinking house. Beats, melodies and rhythm have finally got rid of the 4/4 dancefloor Canon, thanks to MEV we are not going to miss it as assumed. By constantly re-editing, redesigning and studying its compositions for several years, Neik's groove attains a misleading complexity that circles and empowers the whole three tracks; surprisingly making us feel as if it was an easy conquest. To exploit its deepness and reach both our mind and body, the beat metamorphoses from ubiquity to intermittence with uprising bursts of intensity. At the first listening, inner emotions may vary speedily, as if collapsing: stop trying to predict what's next, let yourself go and you'll suddenly find Neik's new way to beat the house. The old manual lows its effect; Neik's beatmap will only be disclosed by intuition

Tnt - Analogue Acid Project 3

Third time is a charm. The Analogue Acid Project by Todd Osborn and Tadd Mullinix resulted in two records in 2005 and 2006 that excelled at the fabrication of gritty acid jak tracks
Now, Todd N Tadd alias TNT aka the dynamite duo finally returns.
Their third outing and first one on Running Back, is a detonative reunion of old and new friends. The dance floor is never far from his mind with each track building upon his signature thunderous kicks and android basslines.

Melas demonstrates his meticulous knowledge of the genre on this E.P. as he jumps between aquatic synths and no nonsense UR science.

The Mole - De La Planet

The Mole

De La Planet

2x12inchMT009
Maybe Tomorrow
06.10.2017

"I try to perform as honestly as possible" — the soundbite borrowed from late dancer Dudley Williams for this record's second track could have been uttered by The Mole himself. It's this candor that has allowed us to bear witness to a very marked and very audible transition from his days as a producer in Montreal to becoming a part of the Berlin scene. And what we have here is one result of that very explicit sonic metamorphosis.
De La Planet is our dyslexic subject's third studio album, one that stays true to his ethos of weird above all in the best possible sense. And yet it feels like something distinctly new. Tapping his enormous reservoir of vinyl and sampling the odd film have acted as complement to the jaw-dropping arsenal of synthesizers at de la Plante's disposal—a battery of machines he's been quietly improving his skills on during the past few years. Or not so quietly, perhaps. The man himself would probably say "I'm coming out of the woodshed", and go off on a tangent about Sonny Rollins and his saint of a wife. But that's a story for another sheet.
While the days of Franco-Canadian dollar-record digging are behind him, this album is nothing if not quintessential Mole. And the opening Harmony Day makes sure to let us know we're in for a beautifully strange ride. But not without a dance floor throwdown first—by way of the symphony of pleas, bargains and one-line artist manifestos that is Going With The Hat Man. From its own dizzying heights through to the sci-fi inflected thumps of Braineater Returns, all the way to He Frank's earworm of a wonky cowbell, it's a charter through seldom explored lands. After The Hat Man gets the instrumental treatment, we proceed to Sandwich Time Is Coming, which sounds like a sonic wink at the portrait of Prince presiding over Colin's turntables—or is it the Klee illustration of a man expelling a smiling turd right next to it Either way, this one smells like it's 4:20. Which makes sense, as just one track later we get "I like to get high. So what Don't you" And there's no arguing with that thick percussive groove. The cinematic ambiance of Soft Translation and esoteric ripples of River Highways round out the trip, before Time Out sends us on our way with an early-aughties beat to march along to. Ding ding, time's up. This trip through La Planet is completed. Though we're tempted to jump the fence, relax and stay a while.
But wait, there's more. Call now and you'll receive a modular-only bonus track harkening straight back to the 80s. That's right, this underwater love song goes out to all the Elle Macphersons formerly populating those teenage bedroom walls out there. Romantic, eh

2-bit Project - Bump That Pussy (feat. Jonny Rock Edits)

More classic, ghetto Chi-town business from the DM vaults here - 2-Bit Project's (aka Larry Thompson of LNR fame!) 'Bump That Pussy' EP is another hot, collectible entry into the DM catalogue. This special, enhanced 2017 repress version features all the OG cuts (except 1 short skit) and boasts 2, yes 2!, exclusive extended edits from UK man of mystery and all round house digger extraordinaire Jonny Rock. If you know JR's steez then you know he knows exactly what is up with the underground. He's neatly extended the 2-Bit originals (which were originally very short tracks!) and teased the funk outta the right crevices for all us lucky folks. If you like that raw, rugged, Chicago, minimal fonk that Dance Mania are known for, you'll love this one. A killer, solid and in-demand EP. One for the headz. Massive record, pure power all the way through and an essential weapon for the record bag! Fully, legit reissue done with the permission and assistance of Dance Mania records and Mr. Parris Mitchell, Chicago USA.

Oid, Dj Koze - 33 33 33, Don't Lose My Mind W. Voigt Remix

Februar 2016

Pandreas - Back 2 School Ep

From A Recent Mixmag Story about one of Pandreas Releases: There must be something in that fresh arctic air in Norway: from the Sex Tags Mania crew to Todd Terje, the icy Scandinavian nation has become a hotbed for producers making a particularly sparkling blend of leftfield disco and house. Pandreas is another emerging talent from the country's rich resource of irrepressibly jaunty producers, who has impressed with a string of lively EPs on Sellout Music in recent years. For us here at Full Pupp these 4 tracks fromn Pandreas belong to the best NO we have recently heard. Eruptive, Discoide, Percussive, Acidic, Hypnotic, full of funtasteic subtle trickery and quality tantric effects that keep the tension up and are always made to Play! A Rare Gem, all 4 tracks!

21.09.2017

Does the world needs more acid Yes it does! the R-A-G trio aka Dutch producers Ma Spaventi, G-String & Aroy Dee deliver three raw acid-jams with Aroy on the couch working the mic. The lyrics of Dreadfully Nervous are based on a Edgar Allan Poe story.

'Dreadfully Nervous (Aryd's Acid Mix)' is a gurgling brew of squelchy acid with dark vocals and pinging cowbells pulling you in all directions. Coarse claps and ever more wild synths encourage you to cut loose and make for another timeless cut. 'Dreadfully Stoned' is more stripped back, with a rubbery arpeggiated synth the main hook over subtle, supple drums. Those dark spoken word vocals are back again and the whole thing is freaky and unsettling as a result. Last of all is the bright and glistening 'No Soul' with metal hits and claps and prickly acid all bursting out of dusty Chicago drums. It's raw and sure to fire the synapses just like R-A-G productions always do.

One year on since their last venture as Black Spuma on International Feel, Fabrizio Mammarella, also known as Telespazio and Phillip Lauer, one half of Tuff City Kids, are back with the insatiable Orme EP. Showcasing the pair at their best, this four tracker is where acid meets emotive melodies and shimmering Italo synths lines. In the words of Phillip Lauer it's where "balearic vibes, acid love and a lost tape from 1991 merge into pure bliss!.." The pair first met when Phillip (trading as Arto Mwambe) remixed a Telespazio track. They started working together in 2015 when their first joint release Oasi was released on International Feel. An integral part of the label, Lauer recently released the highly acclaimed self-titled Talamanca System album on International Feel alongside Gerd Janson and label boss Mark Barrott. Both Lauer and Mammarella have a history of quality releases on great labels: Running Back, Beats In Space, Permanent Vacation and Rollerboys Recordings.

Eleven Pond formed in 1986, released one epic postpunk/synth pop/darkwave LP titled 'Bas Relief' then records songs for a second LP titled 'Assemblage' and the experimental noise project 'Space Trio'. The band breaks up shortly after due to differences in taste, all the 16 track master tapes are shelved. 22 years later the song Watching Trees is rediscovered in Brooklyn NY and club DJ's in the minimal synth scene play Watching Trees. Dark Entries Records reissues 'Bas Relief', the original hand silkscreened vinyl LP becomes a $900 collectors item, invitations for the band to play shows appear on Facebook ... in 2010 Jeff Gallea reforms Eleven Pond and starts recording and performing. They release a cover of the Seasons Are Sitting on Chairs' from Arvid Tuba and a few great songs like Just Be Happy'. As we love the insane modernity of these two songs we decided to release them on Prego and asked Dmitry Distant to remix this happiness anthem. All songs are remastered for vinyl by Isolator, housed in a jacket designed by Anda Masq & Rodeo Basilic.
