After more than 2 years of waiting Berlin-based artist Fabian Dikof is back with a new release on Best Works Records his EP the "Who".
His trade-mark sound remains: catchy arpeggio-sounds with tech-house synth usage.
With these elements he creates a very mature tapestry that gives the tune great dynamic play in its rhythmic morphosis.
The track "Camouflage" features Berlin-based vocalist Ann Weller from the band Ann & Bones.
Last but not least remixer Dubspeeka reworks the original giving it a more minimal techno-flavour and with its tool-character it hits the dance-floor full on.
The "Who" EP is yet another great stepping stone for Fabian Dikof. There is more to come from this gifted producer.

Limited information on this release, it contains two super edits that have been heavily road tested on a certain soundsytem that is currently doing the rounds. Not much information beyond that but the music speaks for itself. Slow mo with energy. More soon

The first release on Man Power's Me Me Me saw FACT mag travel to Mexico to get inside the head of the Geordieman in Mexico. Next up for the label is a comeback record from Last Waltz, the trio with which Man Power first ever released, featuring three new, original tracks, and a remix from the first ever recorded collaboration of Tel Aviv's Red Axes (I'm A Cliche) & Naduve (Disco Halal).

Last Waltz are Geoff Kirkwood (Man Power), Lee Forster (Lizards) and Mick Rolfe (The Great Curve). Outside of their solo projects, Last Waltz have released on labels including Futureboogie, Endless Flight (Mule Musiq), Tusk Wax, Lets Play House, Is It Balearic, and many more. After a two year break from producing together, the three North East England born producers finally felt brave enough to suffer the inevitable studio fist fights and tantrums that have always occurred during their creative process. This latest session has resulted in potentially their most cohesive and impressive output to date, with an EP that swings between deep excursions, psychedelic disco and industrial electro, only to have Red Axes and Naduve take the track into an altogether more low-slung and feral direction.

Me Me Me is shaping up to be an imprint for crate diggers, blurring the boundaries of electronic music and forging new channels for the dancefloor. Future contributions are incoming from Axel Boman, Mike Simmonetti, Chida, Fort Romeau, Hammer, Rex The Dog, Daniel Maloso, Last Waltz, James Hadfield (as Elizabeth Collective) and of course Man Power.

Seth Troxler's taste-making Play It Say It label continues to set its own agenda with a fantastic new doublepack / mini-LP from Frenchman The Mekanism. Featuring eight club focussed cuts, this compendium follows up the essential Acid Love EP released on this label back in 2015.

Parisian DJ/producer and Rinse FM France star Damien Roussel is well known to those with their ear to the underground house scene. He has been DJing for more than a decade and puts out his choice cuts on labels like Berlin's Exploited, London's Needwant and Leeds' 2020 Vision as well as on Play it Say it of course. Looking back to Chicago but also forward into his own sonic realms, he is a fresh producer with plenty to say for himself, and this expressive new release proves that.

'Breath' opens the collection in prickly fashion, with firmly rooted drums the basis of a tune that develops into a jacking monster complete with fat acid stabs and chattery Windy City claps. It's tense and robust throughout, and is the sort of track that demands the attention of whole festival arenas, especially when the clipped female vocals come in. The crispness continues on 'Journey,' which is deeper and groovier, with radiant chords bringing warmth and heat to a track dappled with sci-fi sounds and driven by a killer bassline. On the irresistible 'Da Beat', explosive drums, cow bells and rapped vocals all jump about with more acid stabs and the result is a track as brilliantly lively as you will hear all year.

The hard-hitting, high impact style of The Mekanism continues on 'Traverse', a tribal number with whirring machines and malfunctioning voices, then 'Get It', a chunky and loopy house number in the mould of early DJ Sneak. The excellent 'What' gets loose and freaky, with flaming hits and wild style drums that demand you dance, 'Follow Me' is a bass driven, no-frills weapon, and finally 'Time to Party' will set any floor alight with its old school stabs and cowbells, grinding bass and big house drums. This is a fierce collection of club-ready tracks that ooze class as well as charisma.

Visionquest have made a big impact in their first two releases on the imprint from Seth Troxler, Ryan Crosson, Lee Curtiss and Shaun Reeves. Now they fill up the dancefloor with light on 'Dark Song' EP from the compelling Tale Of Us.

Aspecto Humano return to the vvaa format in their 3rd release with a 4 track sampler. Moderne Recordings label owners, The Revolving Eyes, present a schizophrenic 90's scent techno banger with their 'Imaginary Analysis'. Follows Holon, who brings in an apocalyptic odyssey in 'The Sky Comes Alive With Fire And War'. The incombustible Iron Blu offers on the flip a more optimistic vision with a crispy bassline and playful cosmic leads in his MoToRiKi. Finally, synth magician WC Olo Garb shows his skills in 'Lesson I learn', an intense track as if The KLF would meet Chris & Cosey to burn everything down.

Following up nearly 3 years after Mallory's 001, Joe brings us house/acid/techno riffs with live recorded vocals and gear.

Dark Entries present the sophomore album from Austin, Texas analogue hardware enthusiast Bill Converse. Immersed in the early days of the 90s midwest rave scene, Bill began DJing at a young age in Lansing, Michigan. Luminaries such as Claude Young, Traxx, and Derrick May were key early influences. Techno, noise, ambient and tape processing are all part of his uncanny sound palette. His debut album 'Meditations/Industry' was released on cassette in 2013 and edited for a vinyl release in January 2016 followed by two 12' singles 'Warehouse Invocation' and '7 of 9' the same year.

'The Shape Of Things To Come' is a 70 minute journey spread across two pieces of vinyl. It's comprised of seven tracks recorded directly to tape with no overdubs, made at Converse's home studio. At the time of recording, Bill was sending this material to Josh Vance (Josua Dorje Ngodup) for feedback. Most of the time Josh would respond in the form of artwork, and then Bill would create another track inspired by this feedback chain. Converse has dedicated this series of tracks to him. The songs on this album reveal a sublime influence from Detroit techno, early Chicago house, and Acid. For this album Converse slightly bumped up the tempos geared for dancefloor energy. Built around vintage synthesizer lines and gritty drum machine percussion, the tracks evoke how things have changed and how they have come to be.'

All songs were mastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. Each LP is housed in a gatefold jacket with a painted photograph portrait by Dietmar Busse and layout design by Eloise Leigh. The gatefold conceals an otherworldly collage made by Josua Dorje Ngodup. Each copy includes a postcard featuring artwork from Bill's sister with notes.

Your Planet Is Next: a bold threat! Are we talking about Earth The apocalypse Well, with the Doomsday Clock set 30 seconds closer to catastrophe following recent political happenings, Arvid Wretman might be on to something. Or is it a message for planets beyond; a warning of our inevitable interplanetary colonialism in light of the above Wretman's celestial, machine-driven other worldly tracks suggest an attempt to communicate beyond the realms of E*rth.

Making his recorded debut in 2014 with a limited edition self-released cassette tape, Your Planet Is Next quickly caught the ears of those paying attention. He followed up with Junk Yard Connection's debut long player, featuring a more refined set of electro productions that bounced jovially, chugged menacingly and punched erratically and since then; has released a more dusty, experimental cassette offering on Opal Tapes as well as a fantastically lighthearted and life affirming EP for Studio Barnhus (featuring a cover of Cher's 'Believe', believe it or not!)

Fast forward to 2017 and Arvid crash lands on planet Acid Waxa (rumoured to be something of a spiritual home coming) in slick Scandinavian style with I Just Disco; 4 irresistible cuts spanning acid, house, electro and outsider pop at it's most charming and with a tour of the UK to boot!

After a first collaboration focusing on the City of Angels, LA legend John Tejada and acid innovator Tin Man (Johannes Auvinen), this time brooding on the latter's home city, and former's birthplace, Vienna. The Austrian capital is known as "the city of music" and the "city of dreams," two broadly aligning concepts that go far in describing this beguiling 12-inch. The four songs were mixed down live to 2 tracks, created in the real world without a daw, or multi tracking, which has really captured the spirit of performance and improvisation. Succeeding "Railjet," a tense drum workout, comes "Bim," referring to the colorful trams that run through Vienna. Here, Auvinen sculpts his 303 into near-pizzicato form. The acid box is accompanied by stately pads making for one of the duo's most memorable tracks yet. The next cut, "Danube Nights," references the mighty, ancient river, the flow motion mirrored by a couple of widescreen acid lines. A pensive lead and some melancholy chords emerge, but the drums roll right along like the water- tough enough for a heaving floor with a hint of fragility for the headphones. The record concludes with the acidic "Prater Allee," named after idyllic, sprawling park on the banks of the Danube. The duo's love letter to Vienna is well-suited for travel, for the dance and for dreaming.

Pilocka Krach still means nothing but Pilocka Noise. She's the charming queen of Berlins Post Techno Underground and a true Recording & Perfoming artist. Her new release on her very own imprint Greatest Hits International is a conceptional framed double vinyl album and a journey diary of her last two years on tour around the globe, with Mexico, Detroit and her hometown roots in Berlin as fixpoints on her neverending agenda. Pilocka Krach is Sugar Cane & The Lost Amigos , her band and all at once. Her style is pure electro post rave simplicity, where each single sound is either raw sampling cuts or deep growling synthesis. Big basslines meet funky grooves and surprising hooks, grooving along with her own voice and a lot of other vocal features, whereever you go. Each 'n everthing gets the room it deserves and mingles alltogether to so much more, than just another stereo sum. Never heard an album that dry and that wet at the same time, with an overall fun and jam factor, that is truly touching. She took her original style more than just a few steps further and sharpened her skills in an impressive and real straight forward way of raw funkyness and true storytelling. You can't listen to it without moving. Pilocka is always surfing the right balance of how much, or better how less it needs, to keep it going, get down to the point of no return and beyond the miracle of repetition. Pure oldschool sounds never sounded that fresh and never, ever 'been told that way before.

Lost Property is two veteran producers going under the guise of 'Lost Property' with the music representing a collection of photos of abandoned and forgotten items taken in London from the period of 2009 to 2015.

Timothy J. Fairplay is revisiting Hoga Nord Rekords to release the 12inch EP Mindfighter: photosensitive electronic music from one of the pillars of the modern meaningful dance music scene. Together with Scott Frasier, T.J.F. is running the record label 'Crimes Of The Future' and he is also known as one half of The Asphodells together with Andrew Weatherall. This is his second release on Hoga Nord Rekords and his first EP on the label.

The feeling of full control characterizes every second of Mindfighter. As usual, T.J.F picks up influences from everywhere; House, techno, electro, kraut and psychedelia forms the sound of this release and creates a unique sound. Drips of discrete and contrasting nuances colours the monotonous and hypnotic groove and creates the effect of double exposition, like in the track Jennifer Has Some Strange Ideas that develops in to a love affair between Hi fi and Lo fi. The build-ups are exquisitely balanced and compassionate and in Nightmare City the melodies resounds from some horror movie soundtrack by John Carpenter or Fabio Frizzi.

The title of this EP comes from a cult computer game from the eighties. The game is about a boy with supernatural psychic abilities who wakes up in a post nuclear war Southampton, in an England run by right wing extremists. A theme not impossible to put in present time.

Mindfighter shows once again that Timothy J. Fairplay is on to something different. The craftsmanship is undoubted on this trip into a dystopic Europe, in a not so distant future.

In your face techno, there is no way of hiding no filters used just raw pure stompy techno!

Inga Mauer loves trains. "It's a fantastic chance to be nowhere", she says. From Cologne To Clone is, in many ways, a celebration of this nomadic sense of existence. "I don't need a home, only a studio", she confirms. Recorded in a period when Inga lived between Cologne and Rotterdam, home to the famed Clone Records shop (hence the title), the music on this EP is inspired both by the emptiness you suffer in futile non-places such as airports and the chasm you experiment in majestic scenarios as a Russian forest. Both by solitary travels and first encounters with machines you always wanted to touch like an 808. Six tracks constructed with razor-sharp drum-machines, penetrating synth sequences and estranged vocals. Raw sounds that capture the type of clairvoyance that one can only feel when in transit, far from the chains of our comfort zones. From Cologne To Clone is much more than a train journey. It's an introspective voyage to a beautifully warped soul. A reminder that, in fact, sometimes you only need your self-expression to feel at home.

The Dance is the result of a long lasting musical love affair between Kontra-Musik's Ulf Eriksson and Sebastian Mullaert (aka Minilogue). As most love affairs, it started off as an exciting experiment: Ulf would play records and Sebastian would bring out his music gear and play a live set. As they were touring with this live concept, their sounds started to really integrate, and after one especially fine night at Trouw, Amsterdam, Ulf and Sebastian decided it was time to conceive The Dance. Once the decision was taken, everything else came naturally. The Dance was to be recorded live, in one take, at Kontra-Musik's home field Inkonst, Malmo, Sweden.

On its third vinyl release Dalmata Daniel presents five originals of J.Mono with an additional remix made by DJ Overdose. Hailing from East-Central Hungary's small town Lajosmizse, Lóri Keresztes is the introverted songcrafter-synthjammer mastermind of the Budapest based underground favourite Wedding Acid Group trio. As J.Mono he stands alone leaning on his machines, making way for his internal world, heart and soul. His first solo release Zzz is troubled and playful at the same time, with moments of electro-acid vibes and post-wave-italo sensibility, tracks that are wonderfully dark even with a light shade of ebm or just softly layered ambient melancholic technoids that make us all the children of Aphex Twin's SAW 85-92 for three minutes. J.Mono's material on Dalmata Daniel is not simply perfect club music for nice people but presents the genuine, intuitive and effortless melody maker ability that makes Lóri Keresztes the silent genius of Wedding Acid Group while DJ Overdose's remix captures and overdrives J.Mono's acid jamming roots. - Puskár Krisztián

The Trickfinger project was recorded 10 years ago with no intention of being released at the time, made purely for discovery and learning experience. 'In my opinion, making music with no intention of releasing it is the best thing a musician can do for his own development in this day and age. The Trickfinger LP was made in that mindset, and it was the beginning of a new musical life for me. When I hear it, it sounds like I am opening up doorways to new worlds, and I never have had that feeling listening to music I made for the purpose of releasing it and selling it.

KEITA SANO is part of Japan s new wave of music producers. The Okayama resident has been weaving his way through house, techno and electronica releases displaying an affinity to old school processes and vintage gear. With releases clocked up on Mister Saturday Night, 1080p, Lower Parts, Row, Strictly Groove Recordings, Enother Blessing, Holic Trax and Spring Theory he has shown his eclectic tastes and zany approach to music. For Sano making music is like keeping a diary, this year will see many more releases and his new live show.

The original Klakson funkateers Steffi and Dexter return to true form with three punchy techno/electro cuts! "Zatlap" on the A Side is a lush nighttime driving track with an urgent bassline powering all through the song while spaced out strings develop. The B-side's "Kopstoot" is a pure funk workout in the Detroit tradition while "De Fles" builds a stack of airy pads on top of a playful question and answer bass riff to maximum effectiveness!!!

Psychic Advisor- is a worldwide affair- mysterious Makybee Diva from Down Under,Snad- hailing from Chicago, L'amour Fou on B1- the project of Move D and his friendsfrom Taipeh- Benoit and Marco- plus last but not least Arnaldo reppin' Berlin / UK /Argentina, closing down the compilation on B2. You might consider this record as a clubnight from start to finish- there is everything from slow euphoria to crystaline deepness, from shake-everything-moments to differentstates of a sweet dream - but it all fits as if it was bound together. This release was a follow up of sorts to my remix of Ricardo Tobar's « If I love you ». Having spoke to Jerome Mestre of Desire a few times since the remix, he and I decided that it would be great to follow it up with a dance focused release. The idea behind « Parisian Summer » came after I played the Weather Fesitval in Paris during the spring of 2013. The atmosphere was amazing and so many new ideas emerged from my experiences there. « PartyDaze », « Svetlana » and « MadDance » were all created ahead of my show at La Machine that weekend. All three of those tracks were made with the purpose of capturing that raw energy that was being given off by some of the best crowds I've ever witnessed. In Paris they party with you not to you, so it was important for me to create songs that captured those moments when the crowd was at their most energetic. « Irregular Bedfellows » was created as a nice counterbalance to the high energy drive of the previous three tracks and « Uneven » was to bookend of the whole EP. Created several years ago it languished in the completed folder on my hard drive. Never really finding its right place until this project came along. Belfast born imprint Computer Controlled Records follow up on their acid rich debut Explorer EP from Mark Forshaw with a five tracker from Chris Moss Acid on a release that also features a jacking collaboration with Breakin' Records owner and all time don DMX Krew. It marks the third in a run of original EP's from Chris Moss Acid who's been enjoying something of a renaissance in his productivity, releasing with a host of top grade labels from to Jerome Hill's revered and uncompromising techno imprint Don't and Dutch electronic hub Shipwrec.

Here he delivers his five track Righteous Beats EP which is set off on the A side by Spatial Dimensions where discordant synths and bell powered melodies are ignited by driving percussion atop a pulsating bass line. Second track The Shamen rolls off driving drum fills and 303 acid lines illuminate the track as Moss Acid takes things up into peak time techno sphere until the A side is summated with his collaboration with DMX Krew, Where Is Your Jack, in a rawer toned track, featuring a jittering bassline and off kilter drum patterns which rove between distorted acid lines.

The B side carries two dense and dark techno numbers to complete the acid romp; title track Righteous Acid Beat is marched along by yet another driving bass line as a pistol shots of noisy high hats punctuate the track. Ominous chants of 'We're gonna get you' lead us into final track Getchu where dark tension rides a brooding and dense techno horror story.g

Pay tribute to the genre ACID with there first ever co-produced release. This 2X12 EP contains the long play of the hit single IT'S A STRUGGLE.

Petter Svensson aka NEBULA recently had a release out co-operated with KORD which sound were more in the hard techno EBM edge. Here is a more limited sound and so far NEBULA has it's limited gear... Neverless, here is "less is more" used no other gear than an old Yamaha drummachine, some volca and a mastersynth. Co-operation and post-production by JBS.
