Mint Condition - A brand new record label focussed on excavating the outer fringes of classic House and Techno. Unreleased mixes, classics and overlooked gems mined from the last 20+ of contemporary dance music are the order of the day. From Chicago, Detroit and New York to London and beyond, Mint Condition have got their expert digging hats on to bring you exclusive heat and those rarer than rare jams that have been on your wants list for years! Dig in....
Blake Baxter is undoubtedly Detroit techno royalty. His unique style and sound has always found fans around the world since his first releases back in the late 80's. We decided to reach out to Blake here at Mint Condition HQ and we were hugely under-prepared for the reply we'd get back from him. 'Master tapes!' we said - 'Yes' said Blake. OK, who wouldn't wish to hear unreleased mixes and versions of some bonafide Detroit techno classics we thought That's what you're going to get with Mint Condition number 12, some unheard, unreleased, straight from Blake Baxter's 4 track tape stash HEAT. As you're all aware, 1991's seminal 'Prince of techno' EP originally came out on Underground Resistance and we've been given exclusive permission to reissue the EP (almost) in it's entirety, the only difference being that this pressing doesn't include 'Vision of truth' and features unheard versions of the other tracks that appeared on that EP as well as the original, classic mix of 'When a thought becomes you'. Yes, Blake dug deep for us in his archive and we are proud to present this important document of classic Detroit techno, never before heard - until now. Exciting stuff!
'When A Thought Becomes You' has been legitimately re-released with the full involvement of all license holders for 2017 and remastered by London's Curve Pusher from the original sources especially for Mint Condition. 100% legit, licensed and released. Dug, remastered, repackaged and brought to you by the caring folks at your new favourite reissue label - Mint Condition!

On 005 Ken turns away from the light and invites you into the dark with Adelaide's Furious Frank, who dishes up a selection of psychedelic burners and formidable squelch. On this release Frank pays tribute to the many mushroom picking spots in the surrounding hills of his hometown, and does them justice with an assortment of broken beats, affected drum flourishes and paranoid synths. Over the course of the 5-tracker, Frank presents sounds for the frayed final edges of a night out dancing, where shadows start to play tricks on the mind and each remaining track poses more questions than answers. None typify this nervous energy more so than A2 Dangerous Dancer', with it's smoked out electro punctuated by a wailing 303 intended for dancers that may have gone too far, but are willing to take the next step.

Alek Stark is responsible for some of the finest boutique vinyl releases available. His 808 boxes, DMX drum machine replica and plexi-glass sleeves for Fundamental Records are legendary in the electro fraternity.
Stark's attention to detail in everything he does is particularly apparent in his music - his tracks are all first class analogue electro. He pulls no punches on this E.P. with heavy 808 percussion alongside a myriad of modular noise and synth workouts.
Cold, robotic and reminiscent of early Psyche / BFC with deep chorused pads creating an off-world dystopian theme that runs throughout this release.

The Activ-Analog collective return under this name for the first time in 10 years with a blistering new EP on Lisbon's Assemble Music. Taken from group live jams which are mixed down and tweaked on the fly, these four tracks recall the explosive simplicity of Daniel Bell's output on Accelerate, both A-side tracks all whacked-out acid and basslines cut through by razor sharp hats and claps. The B-side sees the addition of the same woozy pads that defined their venerated Night Shift EPs from the late 90s, taking the mood far into the afterhours. Hard but with a light touch, funky and clean - in one word, irresistible.

Acid Test continues their journey with the return of Achterbahn D'Amour. On their first proper release in three years, Jool & Iron Curtis patiently craft an intricate sound world - with the opening track, major-key pads hearken towards a bright future, hi-hats rustle like leaves and on "Dehaveland," percussive elements fall into beautiful, random unison like factory machines staging an after hours dance. Samuel Van Dijk's vaunted VC-118A project steps up for a remix, turning in a taut techno version that unfurls smoke pillars of ghostly ambience. The duo wraps up the four-tracker with an unexpected dreamy electro turn, "Don't Talk To Me." Throughout Acid Test 13, they remain in lockstep with the label's ethos - to bend, hammer and flatten acid lines into new, imaginative shapes.

Bitter Moon has criss-crossed Europe to gather a trio of heavy House hitters for Lunes De Fiel Vol. 2. Creme Organization prodigy Innershades gets the show on the road with the synth slamming groove of "Moments of Euphoria". New Beat memories bounce alongside rumbling rhythms in track guaranteed to ignite speakers. Next stop is Germany with Snuff Crew and "Your Hands". The Jack experts fillet their trademark raw edges for a smooth and soulful piece of late night Chitown. Smoke curls around chords, claps are softened as samples turn in a twilight haze. The final destination, Italy, is bathed in the 303 sunshine of "#Acid". The White Rabbit Recordings founder uses the building blocks of Chicago to produce a fluid floor filler. Cymbals, cow-bells, toms and snares are soaked in a devilish brew of Acid. Bohemian body jerk to a 4/4 beat to bring down the curtain on this latest instalment of Lunes De Fiel.

Quadratschulz delivers his debut album "WW303". Ten tracks make up this vision, a vision of lazers, pulsing neon and gleaming chrome. Arcade game memories. Curls of acid. Electrofunk vocals. Synth wave chic. And even some past greats. All are lovingly folded together in this rich and diverse collection. Styles are juxtaposed. 303 bars throb and strings soar in the lilting "Der rasende Roland" whereas "Robotic Dancer" struts to a future-world funk. Quadratschulz sculpts his sound with a wonderfully warm and autumnal quality, as in the cascading synth showers of "Ferrofluid." Yet there are colder moments, the frigid flows of "Kran" sprouting into the chilly house tones of "Piloten." a Tribute to the groundbreaking LFO is also included. Bleep festooned chicanery is the offering as "Ring The Bell" takes you back to the infamous warehouse parties of 90s Britain. And if that weren't enough, the 2LP also comes with downloads for some cracking remixes by DMX Krew, Andreas Gehm, Kettel, Chris Moss Acid and Posthuman to name but a few. A wide angle view of Quadratschulz's unique sound.

Jacking Chicago tracks on this first EP by Offenbach's freshmen 'AM UNIT' containing three original tracks plus a solid remix by Lauer (one half of Tuff City Kids). A-sided 'Gotta Slow Down' and 'Hold Back' are classic examples of dancefloor fillers while B-sided 'Raw Jam' is a hard and super effective acid track that leaves no-one indifferent. The Dub mix of 'Gotta Slow Down' by Lauer is an oscillating interpretation of the original track with an efficient piano line! Limited to 400 hand stamped and numbered copies!

'White Punks on E' is the taste of bike chains rubbing against black leather. Heavy cast iron forged across studs and hot-wired organs. The howls from blazed skull hordes jacked up to distortion engines broadcasting into neglected cellar units.
It's shrill echoes from the parking lot carried along the financial district, overturning lobotomised business lunches, attache cases and $50 slick-backs. Nasty club rock fed through biohazard cassettes, doom arcades, sabres and scorpion tattoos - new blood to rock the neighbourhood and a pleasure to welcome Stratton into the fold.

At the third New Interplanetary Melodies' astral journey stopover, it was mandatory to catch an Italian project deeply inspired by the Sun Ra visionary realm, expressing contemporary trials of hybridising jazz with artful electronica. So Ra Toth and The Brigantes' Orchestra landed on vinyl grooves for the label, after having previously appeared on the likes of Mathematics and Berceuse Heroique. Behind the sound, we find the elusive and unpredictable genius of the well-respected producer Marcello Napoletano. NIM received the distorted sound signal from Napoletano taken over by the Egyptian deity born from the lips of Ra. Who knows if those noises were coming from a parallel dimension, outer space, or some otherworldly sphere... Submerged in dark bottom waters, the stormy waves of the 'Acid Sea' are made of convulsive afro-flavoured percussion with sharp synths looming out like the ivories of some freakish abyssal creatures.

High Summer. Sun is shining and the Bordello is open to newcomers, the latest being Slovenia's Ichisan. A 12' that bulldozes barriers, Metamundas seamlessly slips between electro disco, braindance acid and gilded funk. Writhing 303 jerks are tempered by warm-hearted key changes for the title track, patterns ducking into playful frolics and lush deeps. And this desire to toy with convention is what characterises the EP. Bitter chords are sugared, machine grooves with nods to the dancefloors of the 70s, spaceflights with undertones of Chicago; Ichisan brings all together in a 12' that is as unique as it is addictive.

'Your Satisfaction' first appeared on a mysterious CDr back in 1996. Produced by a well known Belgian band interested in experimenting with electronic sounds, it became part of Moneymax' first and only album called 'Analog Beats For General Use'. The track remained a well kept club secret that didn't get much play outside of Belgium, though on home turf its forward thinking aesthetic ensured a fair few spins on Sven Van Hees' legendary 'Liaisons Dangereuses' radio show. More than 20 years later, 'Your Satisfaction' finally finds its way onto vinyl. Belgian dj Gratts' sleazy extended treatment, remastered and cut loud and clear, will satisfy any adventurous slow motion dance floor. Flip the record for a whole other universe dreamed up by Gratts and partner in crime Eluize. Inspired by the original, the pair turn Moneymax into Ca$hminus to deliver two tracks born in a place where Belgian new beat, EBM and early rave sounds meet. The result is club monster 'No Satisfaction', which comes in two incarnations: the original vocal version plus an even meaner acid dub for those anxious strobo moments.

Marlon Hoffstadt is a rising star as both a DJ and producer, effortlessly joining the dots between classic rave and the future of techno. Taking a break from running his Retrograde label, Marlon has cooked up Observing The Known for Ransom Note Records. Over three tracks of warm synths, bubbly acid and emotional chord progressions, the EP sees Marlon reimagining house music for today's dancefloor, taking the passion and energy of '80s Chicago and giving it the production heft of 2017 Berlin.
Opener 'Floating' is a piano house classic, shot through with chimes and 303 gurgles, nostalgic for a golden age whilst optimistically looking forward. This is peak time house for dancefloors with heart. It's followed by the computerised funk of 'ARP+', an acid house roller that teams jacking 303 bass with mournful strings, as sorrowful as it is uplifting. B-side opener 'Batavus' is a driving tribute to Detroit, Kevin Saunderson-esque keys stabbing over soaring washes of synth, the sound of late nights and starry eyes.
London-based Scott Fraser has added a remix of 'ARP+' that takes Marlon's classic techno to darker lands, with snapping electro drums and deliberately seasick bass pressure ramping up the claustrophobia. This mix has already been causing huge damage when dropped on dubplate at Fraser's feted Body Hammer night...

D3 Elements continues to serve up delicious house music with its next EP, which this time comes from the Detroit native MoReese. He serves up three cuts of rich, musical club sounds that continue in the Motor City's fine tradition.
MoReese marries the history of his hometown, and influences such as Derrick May and Kevin Sanderson, with his own taste for jazz, funk and soul and the results are always magical. He has been touring the world for more than two decades now, playing all over the radio, events like WMC and special four decks set at Movement festival. This new release is sure to introduce him to European crowds who will no doubt immediately fall in love with his fully formed hose sound.
Opener Jupiter Heat marries a nice smooth groove, churning percussion and blistered bass with some simple but effective sax stabs that really elevate the track to the next level. It's the sort of roller, complete with a monologue about modern life, that will really get crowds shifting shapes. 'Linear' is a more direct and hard hitting deep house cut with solid rubber kicks, slick hi hats and lush chords, keys and frazzled synth lines all adding colour, heat and a sense of joy. Lastly, feel good bouncer The Mist is stuffed with the sort of soulful vibes Terrence Parker us famous for, and as a result immediately finds a place in your affections. This is another pure house EP that exactly hits the mark.

Byron's Ballads is a dance treat on the housey-ish vibe showing Ceephax's melodic skills in full flow. Citylink is a smooth house/disco track ideal for cruising the ocean highways and downtown boulevards. Sneaker is a poundy 303 classic with an emotional melody which is simultaneously uplifting and melancholy. Haliphax is based on Ceephax's earlier "Friend Track" but has a nice Camelot chord arrangement and disco finale that takes it to medieval heights. The Hague is a simple upbeat house track with wintery strings and distant pianos over a throbby bassline.

Acid Fourniture is a journey into the darker recesses of Ceephax's acidic mind. Simple 303 lines pulsate alongside sinister chords and detuned synths. Berlin Trip is a classic acid 4 to the floor track along the lines of Flow Coma by 808 State. Alligatored is a tight 808/303 groove made for the dancefloor. The Zone is a slower more introspective Acid, conjuring up lost warehouses and derelict minds. Alien Beacon takes a more electro acid slant, inspired by sinister lights in the sky and paranoia.

Lake People, the man with a knack for aural subtleties, is spot-on with his first EP for Uncanny Valley. Over the course of four tracks he showcases a quiet different approach compared to the sophisticated House music the Leipzig based artist released on labels like Permanent Vacation or Connaisseur Recordings. On "Break the Pattern" he relies heavily on the good old Boom Tschak-paradigm of Electro, without completely giving up his trademark sound. "Level Msk" combines staccato-type chords with a stuttering beat that stick in your mind. The acidic "September Futuristic" with its stoic drumming has almost a Krautrock feel to it. On the flipside, the playful "Chords In Chorus" feels like an early contender for this year's summer anthem with chords and acid lines from heaven. The EP closes with "Pull Off", a perfect example for Lake People's ability to compose tracks with an emotional depth.

The good ship Ransom Note sails on!
Continuing our commitment to releasing the finest dance music from planet Earth, our latest missive comes from fresh-faced Belgian kit freak Placid One. Squeezing out analogue techno from a studio full of synths that burble and shimmer and croak, Placid's lead track 'C Balloon' is a drum-less masterpiece, an arpeggiating ascent into a chrome-plated future. The track belongs in the lineage of the emotional best of Detroit, as mysterious as it is melancholic, it's a vision of computer blues for the 21st century.
It's followed by 'Bombay Persuasion', a jitter of broken tech-funk building to a rumbling throb of bass, and 'Life', which chops up classic breakbeats with late night acid secrets. All three tracks combine Placid One's youthful exuberance with a yearning for the hardware mentasm of early Brit pioneers, the ghosts of Aphex Twin, Orbital and Kirk Degiorgio can be heard echoing through their grooves.
On remix duties we have Deutschland's finest Cass. who provides a blissed out reimagining of 'C Balloon', unravelling its synths into an epic of found sounds and ambient drift. This is followed by a floor ready refix from Ransom Note favourite Timothy 'Heretic' Clerkin, who rolls 'C Balloon' into a warm house jam, all classic synth hits and sun-rising acid bubbles.

Following up right after its first vinyl release, Todh Teri returns with Volume 2. Todh Teri's retrospective continues to reimagine the golden era of Indian cinema. Sampadan chaar revisits a Bollywood ballad with a light breeze of acid thrown on. Next up, a homage to a legendary Indian producer, with a retouch to his classic 1980's tune. The final edit on the EP takes on a sensuous super hit from a Pakistani-born disco queen. Giving it a little soul, and a lot of groove. Making this a significant release that proves the artist will continue to produce top notch reworks. Once again Todh Teri recreates memories of the legacy Indian music directors & singers left behind. A tribute that's fresh & definitive. In the past, Todh Teri has brought this style of music to Berlin's well known night life like Voll Schoen & Wilde Renate.

I have tried to recount this most peculiar of musical cases many times before but with each attempt some strange ailment has struck me dumb. I feel that if I put fingers to keyboard I might at least be able to help other revellers, less fortunate than myself to share my wicked fate. One late summer evening I had the good fortune to stumble upon a weighty tome entitled Tone Drop Out Volume 4. Mastered to perfection by Craig Bratley, I further discovered that this substantial slab of vinyl was in fact an unholy conduit to the very rave gods I had tried to flee some ten years previously. The first incantation was a mesmerising, muffled bleeping prayer, a killer bass line squelching to perfection, summoned forth by Dawl, a guise he entitled Caught With A Spray Can. This was indeed not for the faint-hearted and I could only wonder what dark messages were hidden in that glorious aural graffiti. As I plunged further into my personal valley of delirium, I found a track born of John Lilly's LSD-25 induced pareidolia. This Jungian synchronicity, this addiction to rave whoops was none other than the Corporeal Face, the alter ego of a London DJ, an entity claiming to be Joe Roberts, whose adventures had taken him from Detroit after hours to Berlin boat parties. Phantasies skewed those hardcore tropes I had known in my youth and secured my passage on board a trippy, breakbeat, techno ride that alternated between cascading ecstasy and a macabre bass that I had no intention of ever departing from.
Yet depart I did. My transcendental state plunged me further into new realms of consciousness as I became immersed in Peaks Transparent, a four/four shuffler that pounded my spirit across the sonic peaks and troughs built by synths and pads, a monument to the non compos mentis World of Batter, better known by his id, Miles Davies. What were those haunting vocals that teased me from beyond the veil of my inner most shadow aspect Would they set me free or forever imprison me in their enigma Secretly I wished for the latter. Do Ears Have Eyes
My journey to the astral plane saw me ride the Valkyrie with The He-Men. We had travelled the sea of tranquillity together many times before but this time they were attempting to conjure the mighty Sub Com, a spirit track that builds upon their weird fascination with squelching acid and rolling basslines that ebb and flow like the cosmic swirls and eddies of quasi mythology. Once through this pulsating tunnel of tick and boom I found myself reborn in a strange apartment looking at a shadow over Innsmouth. I had narrowly escaped a rave seizure such was the power invoked by my extended play but my adventures were just beginning... as in the name of the e.p this is our fourth vinyl release. and dare i say it my favourite.
To mark this occassion not only do you have Dawl and The He-Men on this e.p you also have Corporeal face aka Joe Roberts a new firm member of the dropout family and World of batter aka Miles Davies the better half (ha ha ), of our friends Ears have Eyes , who themselves have had many great releases and people we will be working close with for long to come especially in the party side of things. this ep is not for the light hearted its a breakbeat / rave extravaganza.
would like to give a massive shout to Craig bratley for mastering all these trax , done a great job, big up respec.
Dawl track Caught with a spraycan - quality breakbeat from dawl as always , with tearing drums and mesmerising muffled bleeps rolling along, then comes that killer bassline to beef this ever moving squelching floor filling banger along, as always top dog dawl produces the goods.
Corporeal Face - Phantasies - another breakbeat rave monster, tearing dark bass line and the wo wo wo wo reminiscing the losts -Gonzo, roll along before the bleeps and then floor stopping vocal kicks in THE PHANTASY , another cracking dancefloor filler, after hearing this you can see why joe is now part of our family respec .
World of Batter - Peaks transparent - this is a totally mesmerising four four shuffler, wicked beat pounding through, with a muffled background voice there just enough to haunt you, while the synths and pads roll and build up and down. so happy to have ears have eyes in our crew quality fellas talented producers.
The He-Men - Sub Com - Kicking off with a straight four four beat and rolfs wobble board then comes the percussion and our trademark little noises that introduce the squelchy acid bassline, rolling along with noises coming in and out all the way as the acid builds , before tick tick boom comes the full on rave synths and hardcore break beat that elevates this tune and proper bangs it out, before then very gradually goin back to four four and acid to calm ya down a bit before have have a rave seisure.

First solo EP from artist Baptiste Veilhan under the alias Bataille, this second release from RER is a self-contained universe that fits into the label's open-minded, experimental style.Veteran of the Parisian club scene, Bataille has risen through the ranks of several house and minimal labels with his group Antislash as well as joining forces with trans-genre labels such as Silicate to release solo work under the name John Merrick. With this EP he delivers two tracks that share the same tone but differ in intention. Like two sculptures crafted from the same material, these pieces use a common tool to reveal two distinct aspects of the artist's psyche. The spirit of the record is eminently sensitive and in this respect Bataille develops a panorama of emotions to illustrate his narrative, culminating in two poems that are a reminder of how techno can tell a story as well as make people dance. DUB CONNECTION relates an aching surge in a deluge of chanting, heady synths. The loops emerge from the track in search of a summit that doesn't appear, and this restraint, this melancholic pressure, is vertiginous like the insatiable moments of adolescence. In a confusion of grace and hostility, DUB CONNECTION bellows out that all is lost yet the game was still worth playing. ACID DIRTY LIFE is another vicious spiral. But unlike the internal storm of DUB CONNECTION, this is an acid hurricane that threatens the world and its inhabitant. Turbulent rhythms bid us to a tropical communion where the seasons favour techno that is hot and heavy.

"Sometimes a year becomes 20, and this is the case with Jesper "Bellfrog" Rydberg second coming on Borft Records since his debut in 1997. As DJ Jespha Galore, he is a super solid DJ arranger and inspiration on the swedish electronic scene since mid 90's. And hailing from Borft Records friendtown Helsingborg this record differs a bit from the traditional Karlskrona sound and goes into softer territory with classic acidhouse sounds and friendly melodic funky electronic disco, at times almost bordering to italian pouch pouch vibes with shiny cars and prosecco. Buy doubles and you got a cool little set bordering between acidhouse and electronic disco." / Joakim Cosmo

A bastion of magnetic style and mixing board finesse, Honey Dijon continues to exceed her bounds, pushing through from the underground of New York to become a cultural, global star. Her Classic follow-up to 'Houze' with Seven David Jnr, the provocative 'Personal Slave' is unapologetic, hedonist and achingly cool.
Honey has teamed up with Charles Duff aka Charles McCloud, who lends his seductively sulky tones for the vocal on the record. Murky and mechanical, cowbell 'dinks' and a percussive breakdown lift the mood, keeping the tracks' feet firmly in the 'house' bracket. Consistently, Honey's productions piece together her familiar Chicago jack with a contemporary New York edge. This track goes further in exploring that hybrid style, delivered with Honey's signature lushness.
A strong force in the US techno scene under his Matrixxman moniker, Charles Duff appears again for remix duties on the 'Dungeon Dub', which as the name suggests is profoundly dark and moody, resonating highly with his regular slots at Berghain. The 'Drum Machine Mix' hones in on the percussive work, playing with a visceral, hypnotic vibe that is so potent it's almost dangerous. If this release is any indication of Honey's intentions for this year, 2017 will see Honey continue her ascension as a music icon.

IXVLF is back at it again following the Language Of mini-album released earlier this year as part of our ongoing tape series. Pushing it further from where we last left off, Connor Clasen's vinyl debut reflects our ever growing desire to re-interpret club music in its most primitive and cartilaginous nature. While cleverly obscuring any reference to a specific period of time, Involuntary Movement shows a sense of the American-based producer stretching disorienting imagery over the existing landscape of proto-industrial — matching the visual interpretation of Ailsa Ogden undertaking the artwork by way of a new collaboration to be expanded over a handful of releases — where unpolished synthesizers and rhythm machines collide and bawl in a controlled crash. It is an exercise of existing in various states of detachment; a fixation on mechanical repetition and unpredictable behaviors through the haze of helium laughter. Definitely one for the animals.
