Joe Claussel takes 'Ayoka' (taken from 'Neo-Evolution 02) to a whole new level. He adds a lot of jazz-tingend sounds (especially percussion) and athmosphere but manages to keep the overall african timbre of the original. This adds quite a bit of turns and twists to the already epic journey of the original 'Ayoka'. Your trip will now last more the 14 minutes. The flipside hosts Mr Raoul K's own remixes. His 'Rootsmix' is exactly that: Just plain percussion and vocals arranged in a kind of call and response style. Just throw it in the mix. The last track on this release is Mr Raoul K's own edit of Joe Claussel's remix. For those who like their tracks more condensed. Starts off with Claussel's beautiful piano play and before you even know it, the track jumps into full gear. Percussion, bassline and even a little vocal in the back.

Released on Theo Parrish's Sound Signature the 9-minute cut was a summer anthem, played by DJs as diverse as Tim Sweeny, Floating Points and Benji B. Gilles Peterson listeners voted it the Track of The Year' at the Worldwide Awards. All of which came as a surprise to studio perfectionist Andrew. Growing up in Forest Hill with Ghanian/English parents, he listened to disco, funk and soul, amassing a huge vinyl collection initially from charity shops, supplemented by his older brothers Roy Ayers, Herbie Hancock and choice Talking Loud Records collection. At 16 he was playing out the vinyl collection, everywhere from the Blue Note on Hoxton Sq in 96, to house parties right through to Rhythm Section in Peckham in 2013. But creating those big budget studio sounds at home didn't seem realistic. Let alone going onstage to sing. While he'd record at home, fascinated by the chords to Al Green's Let's Stay Together', he did all sorts of jobs as well as DJing. Building work,fixing computers, driving and working in a cafe´.

Still, he had no intention of releasing his musical sketches. Until, Theo Parrish drifted into his orbit as a friend. He played him some unfinished bars of a song and Theo demanded that they sit down that minute and arrange a version he could play out at Plastic People that night. Flowers' became a stable of his DJ sets worldwide. And went on to be one of the definitive club records of summer 2013. That blew away my assumptions. That a record we made in my basement was being played in Japan'. Unwittingly they had made a modern day version of Theo's much loved Ugly' soul edits, innovating as they did. It needed to be mastered onto vinyl before Andrew was happy, but Theo knew the record had the essential elements of their favourites; the funk, simplicity, drive, honesty gained from heartfelt experience'.

But Flowers' was just the start for this reluctant star. The Special' EP sees him release 3 more songs of eagerly awaited soul music, equally heaven- sent. And plenty more eyes and ears are following now.

We always treat family affairs with greatest care. You just don't know where this all ends ....most likely in shaking your head in disbelief.
Yet, In the case of siblings Lysann and Gunnar Zander we have thrown all doubts overboard. By no means in at the deep end given that both of them have been making music together their whole lives: acoustic, electronic, in the depths of soul and jazz, or in the wide world of the dance floor.
Stereofysh are interplay and compromise, counter pole and unity; creative duo because they also make music independently.
Their live performance allows the audience to become part of their family affairs. Lysann connects occurrences on- and off-stage without artificial distance, playful in the expression of their music. Gunnar, initially in the background, works the clickety-clacks until—in the course of their show and in mutual connection with his sister—he too comes to the fore and gets in close touch with the audience. This is how listening, watching, and dancing becomes the most fun.
With their debut EP, Stereofysh offer a piece of music that sounds like a mixture of house, dub, jazz, and pop may sound: beautiful and different, familiar and original at the same time. Nach ihrer Debüt EP, im Oktober 2012 auf dem Berliner Label Ostfunk, folgt nun das zweite Release bei Ton Liebt Klang (Hamburg). Herausgekommen sind nach akribischer Frickelei zwei Tech House / Minimal Nummern mit dominanten Basslines und sehr lässigem Groove, für den tanzbaren Bereich auf der Clubwiese. Mit dem Einsatz von analoger Hardware, sämtlicher Souveränität beider Künstler und einer ausgefeilten eigenen Stilistik, ist das Ergebnis eine gesunde musikalische Mischung aus dem sich perfekt ergänzenden Duo!

Für den Remix von "Take This Back" wurde Fernando Tessis (Brasilien), Labelhead bei Kombo Records, ins Boot geholt. Mit seiner Interpretation ist eine druckvolle und ebenfalls sehr tanzbare, alternative Version kreiert worden, deren Coolness ihresgleichen sucht!

The Chosen Two (Berlin) haben mit dem Remix zu "Red Curson" mal wieder ihre Remix-Qualitäten unter Beweis gestellt und eine ganz eigene aber authentische Aufarbeitung, mit starker Bassline, zurecht geschustert. Sind aber bei ihren Leisten geblieben und ergänzen die Veröffentlichung zu einem runden Erlebnis und Ergebnis für den Verlegebereich im dampfenden Club!

After some succesfull releases on his own imprint beatwax records, Ton liebt Klang says welcome Homebase. The tracks are remixed by the TLK Homies Arts and Lohr and Erman Erim (Terminal M).

The kicks started as a collective of different musicians, electronic & instrumentalists, that gathered together under one roof just for the fun of it, coming together and jamming at their own expense.

A jam is a jam. There's no aim, no target. It is free from expectations and just like that the tapes piled up with no specic style or genre lines.
'Whatever happens, happens' is pretty much the attitude that created a label, not out of necessity but out of convenience of being free to release the more outstanding cuts recorded, regardless of their personal denition.

The rst release is from the curators and creators of the project, Maayan Nidam & Alex Picone. The record starts with the psychedelic tone of Alice in the desert, continues to a still hypnotic yet down to earth 020 and ends with the stabbing butt shaker Think about it.
The next releases will continue featuring Picone & Nidam, joined by cool cats like Aquarius Heaven, San Proper & Cesar Merveille.

In 2000, Theo Parrish released his second full album, Parallel Dimensions, on his own Sound Signature label. 4 Years later S.A.'s Ubiquity issued the tracks from the CD version, and repackaged the album on a quality 2LP pressing (plus again on CD). It was around this time (2004) that Theo was being picked up a much wider audience and reaching notable acclaim outside the House circles in which he'd already firmly established himself. This could be seen as the album that brought Theo Parrish into many people's consciousness. This pivotal album has, up to now, been out of print and highly sort after - We are very pleased to announce this full re-issue from Ubiquity Records. TIP!

With his debut album "Swinger" the multitalent from central germany now
wants to conquer the club scene. As DJ and Event-Manager he already has
filled the dancefloors. Now his songs should do likewise. Inspired by
the infamous clarinet-grooves of the roaring twenties and biting
trombones "Swinger" connects the organic sound of hand-played
instruments with crunching techno beats.

The album exhausts the composition always a little bit more danceable,
thanks to original instrumentation. But it is more than only DJ-Tools
for the turntables. As the eight tracks on "Swinger" no second run out
of ideas, it will effortlessly earn a wider audience.


BIOGRAPHY

Mano Meter started to play music at the age of 6, learning piano,
trumpet, guitar and later drums. At 13, he started playing in several
bands and started to produce his own songs in different styles of music.

Beside his studies in Media-Economy and Media-Management in Germany, he
founded the company and music label called "Fachwerk Studios" in 2005
with his friends Nadim Kabel (sound engineer and producer) and Anatoli
Neufeld (media designer).

Doing professional music records, event management and high quality
media design, they are looking back to a wide range of experience in
recording musicians in their own record studio. Together they
establisehd an event series called "Fachwerk Elektro" with a high
attention and with up to 1500 guests. Mano and the other Fachwerk
Residents also were booked for external events in cities like Hamburg,
Berlin, Wuerzburg, Offenbach or Kassel.

He plays a mix of Electronic and Techno music with influence of Jazz,
Swing and other genres. With his stylish repertory and choice of music
he sets every party on fire nevertheless he always creates a dynamic mix
of excitment in a soul atmosphere everyone likes and enjoys.

After working as Producer on several Songs from different Artists his
Debut "SWINGER" was released in 2012 as Vinyl, CD & Download.

After growing up in a record store, facilitating to develop the sound of Mo's Ferry Prod. and launching his own label Clap Your Hands Marcel Knopf is big in business now! So it was time to spent some hours in the studio again in between all his touring through Germany! And up it goes!
