A new star on sweet club music's heaven is born: Closer, the label of Moomin aka Sebastian Genz, our mate of touching dancfloor movement. After his releases on Aim, Smallville and Laid, after touring around the globe and representing the charming part of worldwide's clublife, Moomin prooves how badly the creation of enchanting music is still needed. Closer001 comes up with three tracks sharing only one message: close your eyes and let yourself fall into pure magic. Moomin is a wizard who builds pure sweetness with just a sampleloop, a simple beat and bassline, an absorbing room. With only a few of ingredients he creates an extraordinary mood that could last forever, day and night. Melodica Recordings is one year old! To celebrate this momentous event we've sent some of our favourite releases to some of our favourite artists on the label and elsewhere, for a retake, a look back, a flash forward or a new vision of the original.On the A-side, R&S / Apollo artist Synkro goes toe to toe with Coco's 'My Desire', accompanied by a tasty refix of Deekie's track 'Rush' by recent Bicep cohort, Ejecta. On the flip Coco delivers a deep, deep take on the fluttering garage of Didz and Chico's 'When I Say' and Max Essa re-spins the dials on the No Logo cover of Eurythmics' 'This City Never Sleeps.'

After a furious release by Atlantis' best kept secret Cuttlefish & Asparagus entitled Hang On In There, KALAKUTA SOUL RECORDS meticulously puts a new twelve together you'd want to throw your hands upon immediately. Always referring to Sadar Bahar as one of the most influential cats to their work, the crew behind the label hasn't stopped crying ever since they received the tracks. And although we've pinched them a couple of times, they still can't seem to believe this really is coming true. Can you Now it surely isn't the first time the world's coolest cat has released a couple of his rare edits. But you surely are still dancing and sweating to his unforgettable Chicken Wing Edits series and have been wondering, what this guy's been doing. Well, Soul in The Hole's true soul and Dj's Dj Sadar Bahar has been travelling around the world giving everybody a serious lesson in soul music that he calls Disco Beatdown. Some brothers would also name Sadar's ceremonies 'exorcism", which pretty much leads us back to the tracks released on this fantastic sounding 12 Disco Single.

Parisian DJ W!ld joins forces with Cologne based Klangkultur Schallplatten this May with the superb I'm Not Human EP featuring a remix from UK based producer Darius Syrossian. Following a string of releases on Luna Records, Harry Klein Records and a Kerri Chandler, Art Department and SIS remixed EP on his newly launched The W Label, DJ W!ld provides another enthralling single with two original cuts of raw, bumping house grooves. Opening track 'I'm Not Human' is built around a percussion driven groove, looped deep house stabs and sharp brass hooks, creating an emotive track with sprinkles of jazz influences. Viva artist Darius Syrossian reworks 'I'm Not Human' with an acid twist employing a heavy rolling bass line to assist the original drum pattern, whilst cleverly creeping the sax licks into the breakdown to create intense impact when bouncing back to Syrossian's new groove. B-Side 'Ballade A Trois' brings forth W!ld's attention to detail with subtly automated filter cuts and flourishing delays, an intricate amalgamation of latin percussion slowly builds alongside a natural bass hook and warm strings showing evidence that organic sounds play a fundamental part in the Parisian producers approach to composition..

The house duo who've released music on CLASSIC, OM, ICON, etc drop this 3 track EP on FOUR PLAY MUSIC. "MY FAMILY" takes on the A-side with their signature jazzy, soulful sound. "OCEAN DRIVE" is an uptempo cut with a hot rhythm & keys. "LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW" ends with a serious groove.

Zimbru is just one of the new additions to our label roster. Focused on a more housy approach this outlet is looking for sounds that cross the boundaries between techno and house, collaborations between artist friends and nonetheless eternal dance music.

That being said Zimbru debuts with a double tracker by Sahau, the brainchild of Dan Andrei, Kozo and Paul Agripa, entitled Montreal Ep.

Side a is a pure house gem with breaks attitude, suitable for both night and day, indoor or outdoor. A New Jersey influence can be clearly heard in those synths, hence probably the name Nj Breaks.

Montreal, on side B, seems to be a different beast. With powerful swing and a catchy theme this track means business.

Guti & Dubshape debut a new partnership exclusively for Crosstown Rebels bringing a formidable pair of tracks that inject a bit of funk into the proceedings!
'Every Cow Has A Bird' is a groovy ass, monster of a record. Layered with jazzy piano medleys, undulating percussive drums, staccato cries and jubilant whistles, it has feel good stamped all over it. First appearing on Damian
Lazarus' new Fabric CD compilation it has been well in demand ever since.

Cumpa Limited is a vinyl and digital Chilean Label company. It is born in 2013 under the motivation of a group of friends and lovers of electronic dance music for dance floor. Our Label constantly looks for an harmonic fusion of organic melodies and synthetic textures through voices and folk roots sounds, managing to deliver a spatial personality to our rhythms.

This label has a strong tendency for the rescue of our electronic sound culture, which has enabled us to enter in the sets of recognized DJs and be identified worldwide as the "Chilestyle" sound.

Shaun Escoffery, whose classic hits 'Days Like This' and 'Space Rider' are enjoyed by club goers worldwide, has returned to recording with the most successful album of his career. 'In The Red Room' features four radio hit singles 'Nature's Call', 'People', 'Nobody Knows' and the sublime 'Perfect Love Affair', all of which have hit the UK Airplay Top 50.

Blessed with a glorious Isleys/Curtis Mayfield falsetto, Shaun has long been one of the UK's finest
vocal talents. Since the release of the album he has appeared on Later...with Jools Holland,
Sunday Brunch, Songs of Praise and recently guested on a Burt Bacharach special from London's Royal Festival Hall (which is to be broadcast in December on BBC 4).

Now available to coincide with Shaun's performance at the 2015 BBC Radio 2 Live In Hyde Park concert is a new Special Edition of the album which includes his acoustic version of 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' - originally performed on the Chris Evans Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 and also performed on Later, with Jools Holland accompanying Shaun on piano.

Jacob Korn is back! After Uncanny Valley released his acclaimed debut album in 2012, he has been busy playing live, remixing, extending his studio and of course producing loads of new music. The first results arrive as EP1 just in time for summer followed up by EP2 later this year. Jacob has always had a knack for producing distinctive House tracks that cause a stir on the dance floor. With EP1 he proves that he hasn't lost any of his skills. On "Eisladen" he works a killer Highlife guitar sample and a synth-heavy break into a track that will put a lot of hands in the air this summer. "Arzt im Praktikum" starts with powerful cowbell-driven drumming and as soon as the devastating rave chords drop, the dance floor is turned upside down without a warning. On the flipside we start with the graceful "Fahrt durch Tal" featuring Phillip Oertel who contributes a funky bass guitar melody. With his Midas touch, Jacob unites Philipp's bass work with soulful vocals and spaced out strings and comes up with a contemporary Space Disco track of a special kind. Das Side Projekt aus den beiden separaten Acts "Arts & Leni" und "Wolfgang Lohr" geht in die zweite Runde. Nach ihrer Debüt EP, im Oktober 2012 auf dem Berliner Label Ostfunk, folgt nun das zweite Release bei Ton Liebt Klang (Hamburg). Herausgekommen sind nach akribischer Frickelei zwei Tech House / Minimal Nummern mit dominanten Basslines und sehr lässigem Groove, für den tanzbaren Bereich auf der Clubwiese. Mit dem Einsatz von analoger Hardware, sämtlicher Souveränität beider Künstler und einer ausgefeilten eigenen Stilistik, ist das Ergebnis eine gesunde musikalische Mischung aus dem sich perfekt ergänzenden Duo!

Für den Remix von "Take This Back" wurde Fernando Tessis (Brasilien), Labelhead bei Kombo Records, ins Boot geholt. Mit seiner Interpretation ist eine druckvolle und ebenfalls sehr tanzbare, alternative Version kreiert worden, deren Coolness ihresgleichen sucht!

The Chosen Two (Berlin) haben mit dem Remix zu "Red Curson" mal wieder ihre Remix-Qualitäten unter Beweis gestellt und eine ganz eigene aber authentische Aufarbeitung, mit starker Bassline, zurecht geschustert. Sind aber bei ihren Leisten geblieben und ergänzen die Veröffentlichung zu einem runden Erlebnis und Ergebnis für den Verlegebereich im dampfenden Club!

It's time to announce the next release of WirSindEins Records for Artist Lui Young, also known as Eleminal, who already released on labels like Miniload, VeryVeryWrong Indeed, Colludo etc.

The name of his track is called SaxoJazzy, as you can imagine it has some influences of Saxophone with groovy and sexy beats followed by a tight synth. Overall a very impressive creation made by Lui Young.

His buddies, Toni Rios & Mikel, Eddy Romero and Sandro Sincero arranged the remixes and we are proud to have them on our fourth release.

Toni Rios, one of the most famous name in the electronic world, in collaboration with Mikel, created a Dub Mix, which sounds really amazing. Wrapped, screwed-up Saxo and Piano, accompanied with deep, full kicks and straight snares, give this Dub version the final touch.

Eddy Romero, a talented artist and lover of minimalistic and experimental sounds, produced a groovy dark style remix.

Sandro Sincero, a family member of WirSindEins Records, present his kind of SaxoJazzy. Deep, sweet, but also cheeky.
