These records will become classics if they are not already!. The music of every record is very special, also the artwork and the technic use to print each sleeve, but the concept behind this project something you need to understand, as you can read in the website everything is based in two factors:First, to provide the artist with complete anonymity in order to create in absolute freedom.Second, to offer the listener the work of the artist without any external distortions.The use of words to describe or define music is a senseless task. Most of the time the intention of descriptive text is not to shed light on the work of the artist, but rather to serve as a promotional tool to drive sales and increase recognition. This often has the unfortunate result of limiting the creator and his work. Music is all we need, any other additives are completely dispensable.This project is an experiment.Only six artists are part of this project.The identity of the artists involved in the project will remain private but they are free to reveal their identity after some time, even if we would prefer they didn't (that is the reason we provide a special code in the back of each record) The artists involved in the project are not aware of the identity of the other artists.During the following 12 months we will periodically release 12 records: 11 x 12 and the last one, a special 7 Each record is a full album, a trip into the mind of the artist. There is no need for 'perfected' tracks as this is not a collection of hits compiled on a 12' for massive sales. We asked each artist to work without any limitations or expectations that their previous 'sound' might impose. In this way the artist may expose ones true self in the music or choose to demonstrate another side of their creative self.

Apollo proudly presents the debut from Haramia Tapes, a new mysterious side project from renowned Hungarian electronic music producer Laurine Frost.
More usually known for his refined techno sensibilities, Frost has packed 'Pfunk' with deftly programmed rhythmic structures and infused it with low slung bass and jazzy textures that make for a sumptuous, enveloping listening experience, ideal for fans of Nonkeen, Jazzanova or Leftfield.
'Pfunk' contains seven unique beat sessions - smooth funk, crossed with unique broken rhythms, live drums, bass and found sounds - shot through with cinematic melancholy.
From the elegiac piano of opener 'I Am You' to the twisted drunken breaks of 'Pfunk' to the cooled out percussion and spaced atmospheres of 'Hail', or the moody spy-movie atmospherics of Farewell Four - this is an album that traverses a variety of moods and textures, effortlessly fusing traditional instrumentation with modern electronics and a perfect addition to Apollo's beguiling canon of mellowed out grooves.

Having debuted with a fine EP by Job Sifre, Artificial Dance has returned to the source for release number two. The 12' pays tribute to one of the most influential figures of original DIY electronic music scene of Holland, Hanjo Erkamp.
During the first half of the 1980s, Erkamp had a hand in some of the most experimental and forward-thinking releases on the now legendary cassette label, Trumpett. Famously, he was a member of two of the label's key bands - industrial outfit Doxa Sinistra and new wave combo Ende Shneafliet - but during the period he also recorded a swathe of solo tracks as C. Stein, most of which only saw the light of day decades later.

La Bombe Plastique', a thrillingly spacey and futurist cut rich in proto-techno rhythms, intergalactic electronic motifs and drowsy choral vocals. For this timely reissue, the superb original version comes accompanied by a fresh re-edit created primarily for DJ use.

17 Steps is the new record label from UK act Dusky, aka Nick Harriman and Alfie Granger-Howell. The debut 'Love Taking Over EP' leads with a unique title track that represents Dusky's hybrid approach to production perfectly. Drawing on dark, hypnotic melodies that reference classic jungle vibes, soulful vocal samples, and tough, intricate grooves, 'Love Taking Over' also hits with a gritty percussive edge; making for a fresh and distinctly Dusky production.

Second track 'Inta' connects even more directly with Dusky's formative jungle and rave influences growing up in London - taking its title and key sample from the classic 'Inta' by Grooverider's Inta Warriors alias. Archetypal of Dusky's genre-merging approach, 'Inta' blends sub heavy bass pulses with dark synths and vintage rave motifs to form an unflinching and heavy dancefloor sound.

Completing the EP in style, 'Expectations' is a track that has been on heavy rotation in Dusky's DJ sets over the year. A tough, no nonsense, floor burning house jam, "Expectations" instantly strikes a groove with its simple bass line and quirky jazz-inspired lead. Again summoning dark, D&B-inspired bass on its cavernous breakdown, "Expectations" is loaded with the texture and detail that Dusky are renowned.

* Fountain of Meaning is a new sonic fiction from sound artist J.G. Biberkopf following last year's Ecologies II: Ecosystems of Excess released on Knives. Emerging out of a situation of overflow, the record burrows deeper into his practice of palpable audio theater with a study of object and relations across space-time specific sounds.

The Fountain as a theme reflects a spouting and spilling of information, an erotic gushing of imagined aural history. 'The Fountain was the source of water in the public space in cities,' J.G. Biberkopf explains. 'Now it's pretty much a phallic architectural gesture of both beautification and the spectacle of dominant ideologies.'

The western classical musical canon, much like the perpetual coming of the fountain, flush the headphone space with stimuli. Reflex and memory guides the listener through a semiotic architecture of processed recordings of masses in Catholic churches and contemporary performances of pre-medieval music. A liquidity of structure has an anxious influence and is a closed system approach to form and imagination. When water flows, it fills every space, then spills over to claim more. History is equally abundant and alive. We have never had as much history as we have now. We have never been able to see ourselves as we can now.

A knowledge of a grander architecture of knowing and recalling oppress the ecologies of human decision-making.The nature of the archive has transformed into a total and panoptic intelligence. A life is a gamble as the inventory of the world overflows into the production of a spectral third, an other, a confrontation. Fountain of Meaning offers a dynamic tension and release. A molecular tragedy, our abject recovery into a collaborative reimagining of a trauma long forgotten.

What can be gleaned from this overflow

Two of Alkan's most bombastic reworks over one disc. His scene-defining cut of Justice's breakthrough club hit 'Waters Of Nazareth' adds a subtle Chicago drum edit to the original's notorious snarl, while the Australian band's 'Why Won't You Make Up Your Mind' psych-rock is blasted through with euphoric electro energy.

Inspired by a longstanding respect for the pioneering sounds of Cluster, Neu!, Harmonia & John Foxx, the legendary K. Leimer fuses tape loops, Moog tones and a variety of real and imagined instruments into an immersive journey brimming with electronic emotion throughout this homage, 'Mitteltöner.'

A key figure in America's musical avant garde, Leimer's experiments with tape manipulation, fractal loops and textured ambience have been well documented in recent times, with RVNG and VOD both offering excellent and exhaustive retrospectives of the artist's seventies and eighties output. Tracing Leimer's discography from 1979's 'Translucent: / Memory' to 1983's 'Installation View', via the dislocated rhythms of the Savant project, these archival releases detail a move from the pastoral synthesis of kosmische into more angular, experimental territories. Simultaneously looking to the past and the future, this Origin Peoples release is both a return to Leimer's earliest stylistic explorations, and his first vinyl release of original work in twenty five years.

Oddly for such a sonic outlier, 'Mitteltöner' (midrange to non teutophones) takes its conceptual cues from the idea that the midrange contains all the core information. Over ten tracks, Leimer employs subtlety and skill to navigate the emotional depth of the kosmische genre while maintaining the focus and detail which has remained constant in his work.

Opener 'Dunne Luft' owes as much to post rock as krautrock, evolving from chiming harmonics and understated rhythms into an optimistic roar of motorik percussion and towering guitars. From there, 'Webermelodie' dives into crystalline calm, tracing delicate arps around a processed groove before 'Anode' sends us skywards, drifting through glistening piano refrains and hypnotic sequences. Te dramatic 'As Long Ago As This' glides through a deserted city of metal and glass leaving the measured ambience of 'Entferntemusik ' to close out the side in a swell of static.

Leimer shifts tone as we move onto the flip, segueing the stomping, cybernetic Sturm Und Drang of 'German Defaults' into the propulsive electronics of 'London Interiors', a dynamic sample-topped suite in the tradition of Bill Nelson. The addition of graceful piano motifs and swathes of hazy synthesis lends a tranquillity to the pulsating bass of 'Auf Einem Fahrrad', while 'SHM' marries soothing melody and crunching rhythm into a thoroughly medicated experience. Finally, 'Café Florian' pays homage to Schneider or Fricke with a euphoric fusion of metallic percussion and esoteric energies.

Far from a simple homage to the electronic idols of his youth, 'Mitteltöner' finds K. Leimer reimagining their nuanced sonic framework through a lifetime of musical experience and experimentation.

Paula Temple returns to R&S with her second release Deathvox EP, featuring three tracks as exciting and daring as her superb debut Colonized EP.

Deathvox is a club shaking, wild, imaginative tour de force, featuring her voice transformed like nothing on earth. 'I wanted to create a sonic movement completely transhuman, captivating, and capable of tingling every chakra in the body.'

Monstro presents a half-speed techno industrial explosion fitting for a Nine Inch Nails mosh pit.
Ful completes the epic journey with synth melodic richness you might expect from Karen Gwyer or Nathan Fake. She named the track in gratitude to the Stockholm art group FUL for challenging European border policies. Ful means 'Ugly' in Swedish.

Deathvox EP is the work of an inspired mind, citing her recent move to Berlin and working with progressive artists on her label Noise Manifesto as major influences on the craft of this record. Bringing together her love of post-punk, industrial noise and synthesizers, Paula Temple broadens her scope of the techno spectrum and sets her own mark yet again in this uncompromising release.

Eitan Reiter is proud to announce the release of his latest album, Give It Life, on Guy J's Armadillo Records. With a dedicated and ever-growing fan base who have been captivated by his ever evolving sound across the years, Reiter has a varied and vital discography. As Eitan Ratier, he puts out techno on labels like Minus, Traum and Praxxiz, and has released an excellent house and techno album on Mule Musiq with Sebastian Mullaert, as well as solo effort Place I Miss That I Haven't Been To released on Aleph Zero in 2010. As such, he producers everything from minimal to psychedelic chill out to downtempo, also works as part of groups like Loud, and makes music for film and TV. This standout new album brings techno together with dark avant pop, proper songwriting and inventive studio trickery. It was made partly on the road between gigs around the globe, as well as in four different studios and various other places like a farm in South Africa, a bench in New York, or just a hotel room in Tokyo or Mexico.It is a coherent album that is not bound by any self imposed rules and has come together naturally and organically. It features a number of collaborations, singers and instrumentalists and and even finds the artist letting himself sing and play guitar. It also comes with some great videos for the tracks and has spawned a brand new live show with Nimrod Gorovich and Barak Rosen. Kicking off with 'Choices', a tender mood is set with carefully treated vocals and slow, sombre drums and chords. From there, the melancholic 'All That I Know' has more pained chords laid over bustling, broken kick drums and 'Fade Away' is an ethereal downtempo number coated in echo and reverb that makes it a hugely resonant track. The likes of 'Other Kind of Illusion' are brilliantly original tracks with gorgeous chords and guitars over pressurised thudding kicks, 'Avoid' is a modern day love song without the cheese with sweeping emotions and intimate whispered vocals and big splashes of drums, then things play out through the fractured keys and pixelated synths of electronic masterpiece 'Let It Out' and tripped out beats of 'The Black White Read' before ending on the lonely and insular chords and heavy hearted drums of 'You Are (The One)'. This is another essential album from a talented artist who has many different musical tricks up his sleeve and more than enough skills to carry them off. It is artistic, original and thoroughly absorbing from start to finish.

A lot of bands are trying what The Exorcist are doing, to make timeless, mind bending, dance music but they often fail in reaching all the way. The Exorcist is the band that seem to exist in a dimension, much like ours but that lacks time as we know it; time is stretchable backwards and forward, and being in this dimension allows you to travel while, still staying in one place. Call it time travel if you will or moving outside of time rather. The Exorcist does this. Also they reach our dimension.

The members who also can be found in Uran, Tentakel, and Sork among others, formed The Exorcist in 2012 and started by playing illegal techno clubs for the true undercurrent citizens of Gothenburg, Sweden. The reputation of this dangerous psychedelic band, who plays funk the way funk should be played soon reached Stockholm where they got a cult following just by word of mouth. Over the past four years their following has grown exponentially!

The recording of 'II' was a trip into the abyss and back, with a lot of time and money spent, outrage from the members and record label executives biting their nails down to the bone. But that is how The Exorcist works - tension is a vital part of this bands nature, hence it's sound. The tracks' aggressive approach and the feeling of being possessed by something evil lurking inside of you mirrors the process of making this album. But listening to the album back to back and hearing how the songs intertwine, lets the true face of The Exorcist shine brightly over you.

Prima Norsk 1-3 was a series of compilation CD's released on Beatservice Records in 2000, 2003 and 2005. "Prima Norsk" was a slogan for Norwegian vegetables back then, meaning something like "1st class Norwegian". First adopted to a club concept, and then re-adopted for the compilations series. The concept for these compilations was to collect and present house-tracks from Norwegian producers, available on more or less limited vinyl 12"-ers on various European labels (some self-released), and a few exclusive tracks.

Now, the Norwegian house scene is more alive than ever, and thanks to the digital revolution, the worldwide availability is far better than it was at the time of Prima Norsk 1-3. Prima Norsk 4 is thus focusing on exclusive tracks from the vibrating scene of today. The compilation includes exclusive material from artist already familiar on the international house scene, along with fresh stuff from new names.

Following the release of Synkro AKA Joe McBride collection of his formative early works earlier this year, Apollo Recordings is proud to present a brand new EP that draws on the rich heritage of library music. Despite having come up during the dubstep era McBride's music has always resisted easy classification - 'Hand In Hand' sees him shift his musical focus in a yet more cinematic direction. McBride explains : "The record was inspired and influenced by my love of electronic 80's UK library records like the Chappell AV series, Bruton, Soundstage & De Wolfe Music library. There's a lot of synth work that carries on from my album using my trusted Juno-6 / SH101 / JX8P combo with the addition of drum samples via an old akai S2800 I purchased recently. Most sounds I've made from scratch on hardware based on sounds used in the library records I mentioned above along with a few cheeky samples." Synkro's signature expansive atmospherics are still very much present, but now they have been burnished by soaring synth pads and pulsing drum tracks that call to mind the haunted melancholy of John Carpenter or contemporary such as Legowelt or Andy Stott. Rhythmically 'Hand In Hand' sees McBride moving somewhat away from his usual off kilter programming inspired by 2-step and garage, embracing the steady pulse of 4:4 which turns out to be an effortless fit.

Deltawerk is the newly Amsterdam based project of Pascal Terstappen aka Applescal and Polynation member Hessel Stuut. Together they are releasing their debut full length LP, entitled 'Passages",
Applescal has to date released on labels including Ghostly International and Traum Schallplatten, while the efforts for his own label Atomnation have seen him welcome music from the likes of Gidge, Weval, David Douglas and Sau Poler, amongst others. Voted at a very respectable #03 for XLR8R's coveted 'Best New Act' in 2015, Hessel Stuut is a member of Polynation and has significant experience not only playing live music, but as a producer, visual artist and designer too. Together, they form Deltawerk, a dynamically electronic duo whom when united create human and lucid music, which feels as much at home in an underground rave as it does in an open-air live performance. While there is a faint echo of artistic collision, the album undoubtedly provides an eerie sense of unity for both Pascal and Hessel's own discography, conserving the warm subculture of
analog and modular instrumentation.

The third outing for Modern Manners emerges on the back of two very strong 12"s that introduced this anonymous outfit to the world. "Timeless Vibe" continues where the last release left off, building up a wonderfully cosmic bed of processed melody under which casual hand played percussion and warm bass notes can linger. "Azzahar" too keeps things pleasantly soporific with its gentle pace and lilting guitar refrains, and then "Middle East Manners" rounds this excellent trio of EPs out with a beautifully realised swirl of sounds that find focus once a kick drum starts pulsing and the percussion starts building. Quite who Modern Manners are is a mystery at this stage, but across these three 12"s they've certainly made their presence felt in the softest, most laid back of ways.

Maajo stands for May. The month of excitement and expectation of imminent joy. A time of hope following weeks and months of rain and cold. The time that best encapsulates escapism, those wistful, delightful daydreams. A time when you release yourself from everyday routine and already begin to live in the holiday that hasn't yet arrived. A place that might not even exist. Let it be a warm, a joyous place, a fuzzy bricolage you witness after passing out while watching a David Attenborough documentary. Outlandish and romantic ideas of distant cultures. Maajo is motion, movement from one place to another. It is moving without travelling, dream and dance.
Maajo is a musical continuation of the similarly titled 12' single by Herman Prime, the producer's idea expanded to a five member band. The music is the product of a mixed technique where vocal samples and programmed synthesizers coalesce with fingerplucked guitars and handheld percussion. Beneath everything run several strong currents of inspiration: an obsession with balearic disco, deep tribal roots, a love of eighties afropop, lessons from minimalist composers and a desire to just dub it up.
Tropic of Tulli is not a direct flight but a meandering journey. Starting beside a flowing river, Kaba sends us on our way with a gentle arrangement of kalimba and a Mandinga poem. Two midtempo groovers, Tum'pi and Makkara, set an expectant mood. Musa Paradisa lands on a tropical island with plentiful percussion and a clatter of mallets. The party starts with the fervent afrodisco number Okudu. There is a strange detour to an urban cityscape with Fode's meandering bass line and street drummer for company. The path leads to a dark rainforest, both menacing and inviting, following Kofi Obu's feverish vocal and desertic guitar riff. Darkness is Good is a bout of afrocosmic exploration. A.O.O. offers a final chance for a sunrise dance before the beautiful balearic theme Maajo closes the album with an intoxicated smile.

Lukas Nystrand von Unge's music has been making the rounds on hissy cassettes, scratched up cdrs and chaotic Soundcloud pages ever since he first started making music in 1987. Utilising equal parts playfulness and rigid methodology, he's slowly but surely carved out a unique sound over the years - one which combines heavenly melodies with dubby lo-fi esthetics, white funk and black pop. On this first of several Studio Barnhus releases from Lukas, we find six tracks recorded over a timespan of ten years - all spontaneously composed in that musical/mythological wonderland where Mariah Carey and Ornette Coleman live together in sweet harmony. Lukas is 38 years old - he lives in the Stockholm suburb Tensta with his wife Elin and newborn son Otto. His emo-techno-pop anthem 'Never Fail' appeared on James Holden's DJ-Kicks compilation in 2010 and he's been running the Amiga tracking scene related netlabel Ageema Music Club since 1997.

Kidnap Kid's versatility is what shines here. Treading a winding path, he originally made his home on the Black Butter label, but has since spread his wings to encompass a more underground aesthetic. The vocals on 'Moments' belong to singer and songwriter Leo Stannard, who at only 20 years old is also part of the Black Butter family, and was recently supported by BBC Introducing
