Tradesman has been grafting hard in the studio making another massive digital riddim named 'Springbox'. On it Speng Bond vividly paints a vocal picture of a rammed dance as he has to 'Fight fi come in' while Parly B rips it up with the 'Rudeboy skank'. One of the discs carries a dub on the flip, the other a clean riddim track - ideal for dropping versions to mash up any dance hall. These vinyls are strictly limited to 500 so you will need to move fast to secure your copy.

Rewind to 20

Big problems, big problems. How do you encompass 5 years of Nang and over 600 tracks into one single compilation - So many favorites, so many touchstones to points in our history. In the end the formula was somewhere along these lines: Take a few tracks which have that distinctive Nang vibe and flavour, take a few tracks which the fans liked (and bought) and then take a few pivotal tracks in our timeline.

Our first ever release was from an insanely talented Russian band called D-Pulse. Downtempo jazz-funk-disco. We opened with it back then and it stands the test of time proudly 5 years later. One of those pivotal moments in Nang's history was hearing "Lazy Summer" from Slovenian producer Sare Havlicek. The first listen to those lush grooves and slumbering synth-funk was a moon-landing "where-were-you-when-it-happened" moment for us (it was Yamacraw Beach, Nassau for us when his demo popped into our inbox). Talking of lazy grooves and ponderous sounds there is nothing quite like Irishman Lasertom and his slo-mo build-up of burbling grooves.

Bottin's "Tinpong" project provided 2011 with a fine highlight. His "New Religion" cover may not have much in common with the Duran Duran original but the Marcus Marr mix just oozes a sweeping, additive funk. Big buddies of Nang are the West Country based Situation, our favourite tune from them is the ever so large and chunky "Barcelona". All present and correct. No Logo (made up of DJ Lord Pete Gooding and Chill Lord Steve Afterlife) are next up with their saucy French-accented vocal stomper "Party Animal". They are joined by Argentinean pal "Toomy Disco" in the remix, hitting the spot with his bass-guitar driven reworking. We are not sure why such a disproportionate amount of our artists seem to hail from Slovenia but we are sure glad to know them. Camera-maestro Ichisan and DJ pal Nakova team up with another Nang favourite Lusty Zanibar for their synth-happy romp "Pionir". Whilst (of course) not forgetting that jangly, catchy guitar riff.

We take a trip over to Siberia next with Sportloto. We love his sweeping key-pads, chord changes the way he makes synthesizers sound so lush. "Will I" pairs his keys with the sultry vocal of UK based songstress Michelle Bee. Next up Italian analog synthesizer fan Brioski, pairs up with the Stafford based Dr-Doolittle-of-the-synthesizer, Andy Meecham. He talks to the synths and they talk for him: big burbles, big oscillators and filters galore for the galactic sounding "Radio Anatomy". It's off to Sheffield for our next track with our really- cool chums, Hiem. The steel city duo pair up with Roots Manuva for the lifestyle commentary "DJ Culture". Our man James Bright from Manchester layers it up with multiple helpings of expansive groove.

To conclude the tail end of the album label head honcho Loudery dusts down the analog synths with Simple Minds legends Mick Macneil and Derek Forbes, covering the demo version of their 1984 "Book of Brilliant Things". We like to round things off with a smile. So it's all aboard the Wizz-Air jet to Ljubljana for a jaunty, tongue-in-cheek cover version of Queen's "Football Fight".

As well as the sparklers above you didn't think we could get away with proceedings without a few remixes did you - Of course not. First up we are off to Sheffield with the pairing of Human League singer Phil Oakey and Hiem. Their "2AM" cracker gets a blippy house re-rub from scene stalwart Si Begg. Italian DJ legend Daniele Baldelli and DJ Rocca get their "Real Like the Music" vocal house groover remixed by London based office-dropper-inner Pete Herbert. Big grooves abound. Slovenian italo disco meister Sare Havlicek is next up with the lead single from his second Nang album "Vibe on You". Once again James Bright helps us out of a tight spot with a big rumbling disco house version. A celebration of all things Nang would not be complete without (another) remix from our first ever release "More" from D-Pulse". Slovenian Ichisan steps up to the plate with his trademark Adriatic disco-house shiner.

So there you have it. We plan to keep putting out music we adore. We are scheduled up to 150 releases and there a plenty of nifty projects in the works. Here's to the next 5 years,

Sam Irl returns to Jazz & Milk with his latest "Free Two Grow EP", two years after his last solo release for the label ("Slower Bavarian EP", 2012). He has continued to develop his sample- & analogue synthesizer-based music further, keeping things raw and warm at the same time.

The EP starts off with the title track "Free Two Grow", an MPC live jam built around a hypnotic loop slowly developing into a heavy synth-driven Deep House tune. The B-side cut "Ions" builds on warm jazzy chords backed by tight rolling drums, creating a melancholic as well as a deep percussive vibe.

Representing his versatile musical background and his roots in Hip Hop culture, "Einerfuerheiner" combines heavy-hitting MPC-drums, raw sampling, dubby synth textures and a weighty bass foundation.

Sam Irl is a producer from Vienna worth keeping an eye on. He has released on Gilles Peterson's Brownswood Recordings ("Kutmah presents Worldwide Family Vol. 2" with Ritornell), Pomelo Records (as "Pulsinger & Irl" together with Patrick Pulsinger), Frank Music, Bonzzaj Recordings ("Untitled One" with Dorian Concept) in Switzerland and others. Besides releasing his own music he has done remixes for Aloa Input (Morr Music), Inverse Cinematics (aka Motor City Drum Ensemble), JSBL (Affine Records), Swede:art, Trishes (FM4), G.rizo and Munich's dialect-Hip Hop-group Doppel D.

Originally hailing from a small village in rural Lower Bavaria, Sam Irl has been living and working as a producer and recording engineer in Vienna for quite some time now. He produces tracks of various styles, ranging from sample-heavy MPC Hip Hop beats, analogue tape-recorded synthesizer Funk to raw Broken Beat and Deep House tunes.

Utopian Dream was Jimi Tenor's return to his native Sähkö label after 3 albums for Warp. Its intimate stripped down sound is close to his first two Sähkö albums in early 90's. Tenor's everlasting love to deep space is the apparent theme of the album.

Fyfe will release a new single, the beautiful 'For You', on Believe Recordings which has already been Zane Lowe's Next Hype on Radio 1 and gone Top 3 on Hype Machine.

This follows a breakout year for 24-year-old Paul Dixon, with tracks like 'Solace' and 'Conversations' picking up over one million plays on Soundcloud, a hat trick of Top 10s on Hype Machine, and additional support across Radio 1, 6Music and XFM.

A confident and idiosyncratic return, 'For You' is a maze of pianos, double-time hip-hop beats and Fyfe's near-falsetto croon. About two thirds of the way through, the song is suddenly interrupted by a playfully epic saxophone solo, a testament to the symphonic, occasionally-classical textures that persist through Dixon's work, and his continual willingness to take risks. "I just thought it would sound bloody great! There's a lyrical emotiveness to Jazz which doesn't require vocals or lyrics. It's a guy called David Turay from The Hics on sax, and to me that solo says so much about the euphoric nature of love."

Marking a clandestine arrival out of, seemingly, nowhere, Black Swan emerges from the shadowy billows of smoke to immerse listeners in a lucid, cavernous dream, tracing silhouettes in the darkness with drowning ambience and orchestrated drones that screech and howl intermittently amongst the disorienting magnetic tape disturbances. Black Swan operates under a guise of far-away sounds traveling through murky waters, drowning the listener in its heavy-handed layers of ghostly resonance.

Black Tie Electrons is an exciting new electro-pop band from The Netherlands. Drummer and producer Phil Martin (Jazzinvaders, Laura Vane and the Vipertones, Jaffa) teamed up with singer and guitarist Otto van Gemert (Fervid) to write an album brimful of electrifying songs. Vocal harmonies, distorted synths and spiky beats are combined with analogue percussion, bass and guitar sounds to make songs that sound organic, clear and sometimes edgy. Black Tie Electrons love alternative dance, funk, new wave and 60's beat music and mix these all up with their own musical idiosyncrasies. The result is their debut album 'Disco of Decay' . Full of hypnotizing melodies and beats, this album is a fresh and inspired trip into electro-pop heaven. The songs have fragmented lyrics that take you from the most personal atomns of thought to the dancefloor and back again. The Act of Shimmering is the act of leaving conscious thought behind. It's accepting what lies beyond the corporeal, transcending the physical; the soul is aware and the body, eyes, skin are distant empty casings. A clamorous, chaotic cacophony surrounds a beatific center. An endless assault of guitar, of noise that glistens, a poignant rigor. Jannick Schou, proprietor of tape loop drone, places himself within the tunnel of din to produce this profound work: an ethereal dream using nightmarish parts and images. Black and grays generate vibrant innards. Brightness is unearthed within the fetid mass and these six tracks immerse the listener into a raging sea to find a gentle undertow. Furious outbursts emerge from simple, slow shivers. Tremors of noise gather, reaching an elongated crescendo, becoming transformative, and shattering what form or structure was designed to contain such an outpouring of sound.

Steve Stoll is an American Techno/Electronic music artist from New York city. He is the owner of the underground label Proper n.y.c. which he founded in 1994. Over the years steve has colloborated with the likes of Patrick Codneys (Front 242), Pete Namlook, Ken Ishii, and Damon Wild, to name a few.

He has remixed everyone from Hardfloor to Gary Numan, and continues his techno exploration to this day by finding inspiration in the originators of electronic sound, firmly rooted in modular analog synthesis, his own one-off circuit designs, and strict philosopy of mixing tracks live without overdubs.

Solo In Place is the follow up to last years highly praised 'Praxis' album. The album features collaborations with Mike Olsen - Cello player for renowned band Arcade Fire.

In his own words Steve says : It's meant to be a kind of meditation piece, I mixed most of it literally sitting out in a forest at night, the volume of my mixing let me hear all the insects, trees and critters around me, perhaps a heightened sense of hearing since it was so quiet. I was drawing on a lot of Eno concepts of amplitude of music as well.
