Opak records alkyle series is a indépendant music label owned by Seq9 & Eeror303.

The music selected on the label is a melting pot between Techno, House, Minimal, Chicago, Détroit, Electro, Pop, Uk funky and Abstrakt Hiphop.

Since 1988, Todd Sines has released experimental house, techno, electro and post punk on Carl Craig's Planet E, Daniel Bell's 7th City, Andy Vaz's YORE + Background Records, Titonton Duvanté's Residual, Archetyp's 21/22 Corp, Dego's Reflective UK, in addition to Frankie, Circus company, Philpot, Morris Audio, Rawax, Moto Music and many more. In addition to music, he's also an accomplished director, photographer and designer, working with Sisley, V Magazine, GE, Nokia, Express, DVF, HBO, and The Weinstein Co.

On this Ep we have three cuts of modular goodness that each bring a different flavor to the party or the after hour .

Mark Grusane's latest offering, A House of My Own is a testament to his long-standing discipleship to the craft of producing hard-hitting house tracks with authenticity and depth. The title-bearing opener on A1 strongly demonstrates this notion with a slew of raw bass stabs and emotive pads leading through a battery of driven percussion in a manner that calls to mind those early 90's Mr. Fingers records. While A2's Essence of Life (Afterhours Mix) takes us further into the darkness with a spiraling timber of percussions lain over distorted vocal arrangements, the "Daytime Mix" of A3 builds on the momentum of its predecessor with a robust uplifting synth lead and sounds of atmospheric ambiance added to the mixture, effectively taking the composition to an entirely new level. B1 kicks off punching and swinging with the track Knock knock, Who's there?, a ferocious gut-puncher of a track that sees classic Chicago "beat-track" style 909 arrangements lay over an intense saturated 303 bassline that relentlessly worms its way throughout the mix with a booming urgency. B2 sees a turn for the naughty on the track Love And Lust with a xxx-rated vocal line slithering its way through the track, sandwiched in between high-pitched keys and a slinky drumline. Finally, Jack Your Ass Off closes out the album and ties it all together on B3 showcasing the full-fledged insanity of the classic trademark Chicago "jack" style that sees the title of the track frantically screamed over and over though a sampler amid hard hitting drums and 303s engineered to make you dance like a freak. A serious 'must have' for any selector or music enthusiast.

NDATL continues with the return of Abacus to the label, "The Lower End Theory" is another slab of deepness from the produced who has released on classic labels "Prescription" & "Guidance to name a few.

The EP dives right in with the title track "The Lower End Theory" bouncin with a deep bassline then iced over with glossy keys that give you sight into his theory. Next "Atlanta Deep" is his ode to a late night drive in the A. Then on the flip we have "Mortise & Tenon" a 10min journey thru Detroit Techno to Toronto's underground.

A perfect title as "Mortise & Tenon" is a type of woodworking joint! Now close your eyes & throw your head back into the Lower End Theory.

Being somewhat part of the Raw Soul Family from the very beginning, be it as part of our record collections or as guest DJ at our very first party, a record was just the natural thing do. Therefore we are super stoked to announce that no one less then Washerman, a man we admire both artistically and personally, will be responsible for the next contribution to our imprint.

House royalty right here. An unmistakable voice over the decades, from the late ‘80s till the present day, Byron Stingily’s falsetto tones are some of the purest around. Whether hitting the high notes as part of Ten City or in his solo songs, his gospel-tinged, uplifting voice has soundtracked countless euphoric moments.

Club Chi’ll Records welcome Byron to the label as he delivers a signature, piano-laden, hands in the air vocal house gem in the form of ‘Can’t Help It’. Not stopping there, they enlist the expertise of Wade Teo, Spaces Between and Soul Clap to add their trademark flavour to proceedings with four distinctive remixes.

It's not often that a breakthrough producer manages to cause major hype after just one release but when that artist is from the UK, putting out a brilliant EP on Moodymann's Mahogani Music, you start to realize how it happened in Dan Shake's case. Now it's time for Dan to build on this incredible start and from the way things are looking it's safe to say it's all going in the right direction. Another rising star from the UK is Wolf Music regular Medlar who has been making serious waves the last 5 years. Remixes for the likes of Glenn Astro and Disclosure have all helped put him in the spotlight and his debut LP Sleep from 2013 delivered in spades. So when the news that these two were joining forces for a collaborative project reached us here at D.O.G we wanted in on the action.

The lead track entitled Walk has all the hallmarks of a long-lost Detroit house classic but with a UK touch that adds just the right amount of polish to the dusty MPC beats and phasing rhodes chord. Soulphiction adds a slightly deeper edge on his remix but keeps the vocals in place and pushes the beats in an altogether housier direction. Finally we have I On You completing the EP in fine style with a more soul-tinged track but keeping the groove and bassline positively roughed up ensuring things stay raw and underground.

2014 was a big year for Scott Moncrieff AKA thatmanmonkz. Not only did his own label Shadeleaf become firmly established he dropped brilliantly received releases on both Kolour LTD and here on D.O.G.

Scott has managed to tread that fine line of simultaneously picking up props from all angles and wrecking dancefloors the world over whilst remaining resolutely underground and focused on the more interesting corners of dance music. RA rightly stated that 'Despite the pivotal part his hometown has played in electronic music history, you can't shake the feeling that if this were the work of some auteur from Detroit, Thatmanmonkz would receive wider recognition from the house community.' And that is why we love him!

Here on his follow up to last years Don't Slip EP, he delivers 3 lo-fi, dusty, soul- tinged nuggets which have that unique yet instantly identifiable character only the most talented producers are capable of making. Opener In The Trees featuring the vocals of Kahill Anthony who adds a soulful touch to the raw, bumping groove set up by monkz. The kind of magic track that'll get lodged in your mind and have the heads clamoring for the info when dropped on a big system. Flip over for Make It Now which treads a more familiar loopy disco path but does so in such fine style that you'll be coming back to this one time and time again. Finally we have Sad n Blue which drops the deepness with fizzing Detroit padz and killer vox samples giving a nod to the moody one but with a throbbing bassline straight out of the nu school. thatmanmonkz is currently holed up in his studio making tracks for his debut LP which we're happy to announce will be dropping towards the end of this year here on Delusions.

Nick Sinna has been on the radars lately with his debut release for Prime Numbers "PN 13".
Sticking to the dark corners of the dance floor as of late, we've commissioned the spaced out bass child, Conforce and Spectral's secret weapon, JTC ( aka Dabrye ) to add their touch with 2 remixes.
Conforce takes Sinna's "Real Time" further down the worm hole, adding molten pressure to the percussion, and cutting up & reinforcing the vocal samples.While the acid warrior himself, JTC stays true to his roots on his rework of "Voyager", taking the edge off the snap and slicking the groove down to a more deep, melodic trip.
PN13 has already received diverse support by the likes of Ben Klock, Marcel Dettman, DVS1 and Mr. Scruff.

Session Victim return to Jimpster's ' Delusions Of Grandeur' imprint with a third studio album. 'Listen To Your Heart' is the result of a year of cross-continental scripting, started in their Hamburg studio and wrapped up stateside in San Francisco's Room G Studios where the duo had worked on their 2014 LP 'See you When You Get There'.
Sampling still remains an ever present backbone throughout the album. Session Victim have dug deep for sounds, resulting in a richly detailed and organic sound collage that goes hand-in-hand with their live instrumentation, this time enhanced through several guest musician appearances, most notably Carsten "Erobique" Meyer (ex-International Pony). Smooth guitar samples are built up on 'Over and Over' while on 'Moons & Flowers' the live instrumentals that Session Victim do so well come to the fore.

The treasure trove of San Francisco's record shops proved to be a hard bait to resist and the pair spent a large part of their Californian time hunting for records to sample. Three new tracks emerged from these digging sessions, with the sweeping disco string arrangements on 'Shadows' standing out as a prime ode to days spent combing through bargain bins.

Listen To Your Heart is equally a product of the road. While heavy touring is often cited as a hindrance to the creativity of artists, Session Victim see their live shows as a catalyst to their creativity. Two US tours in 2016 gave the Hamburg duo the opportunity to take track sketches and fragments on the road to incorporate into their live shows and then digest them back in the studio. The playful funk soaked groove of 'Matching Half' captures the sense of movement present throughout Listen To Your Heart and the LP mix of 'Up To Rise', which caused heavy ripples when it dropped as part of 2016's Matching Half EP is an extension of the upbeat and euphoric groove that permeates the album.

1 year after its digital release, Brooklyn Baby’s « For the Soul EP » has become a DJ favorite, with the eponymous track already a club anthem. It has been playlisted by Terrence Parker, Kevin Saunderson, Mike Dunn, Mark Farina, Simon Dunmore & Daniel Steinberg to name only but a few. With over 2000 tracks sold in 12 month and almost 500 000 streams, it was about time to bring this House gem on vinyl.

To make the package even more attractive, the french produced has added to the Frappé package an extra track named « Mad Real », which is only available on this format. « For The Soul » is now ready to now become a digger’s favorite.

The backroom club was packed with the hottest kids from the street. The movers and shakers wore their finest clothes to get down to the boassanova rock whilst the gangsters and players watched on from behind luxurious red curtains. In the murky shadows some exchanged more than just pleasantaries in the form of parcels and goods. They were devilish figures who existed only by night, when the streets were no longer safe for the do gooders to walk. This was a rough and ready town.

In conjunction with the label turning 8, WOLF Music return to the VA format that see's them releasing forgotten gems and exclusive tracks from label mates.BRS' Bouncing was originally released in 2000 on Imperial Dub a firm favourite with WOLF Music for many years, it now has the opportunity to be introduced to a new generation of record buyers.Paradiso Rhythm self released Greetings & Salutations digitally early last year. A killer record in every way that deserves a vinyl release.

On the flip Ishmael & Medlar supply a collab track recorded last year at the Red Bull studios. Rounding off the EP is an updated version of KRL's I Wanna Be With You that was originally released on WOLFEP003.

Ed Nine returns to Chez Damier’s Inner Balance label with the third part in his The Journey series, as ever foregrounding the most classic of house sounds. Chicago from his head to his toes, Ed’s signature nods to the Windy City greats while pushing things forwards with fresh sound design and his innate musicality. Bernard Badie returns to Mojuba with his first solo release in over five years. Courtesy of Balance is the Balance sister label run by Frenchman Brawther, who Chicago house great Chez Damier credits with getting him back in the game several years ago, after he had taken a step away.

This is another super smooth and seductive deep house sound, with Grant & Finnoh laying down warm, rolling beats, dubbed-out chords and heady vocal whispers. Brawther brings out the jazziness with his slightly more up-tempo remix and finally, Zansika sinks you into a late-night reverie with his dreamy and loved-up remix.

Recline Music welcome AXIOMATICS on the label with an outstanding four tracks EP on vinyl.

AXIOMATICS is the new project by Mirco Violi and Riccardo Baldoni that masterfully wrote and produced this amazing record. The EP opens with 'Thelma', a great Detroit house tune with a delicious vocal and impressive jazzy pianos, chords and strings that is set to become an instant classic. Then comes 'Polar' that mixes the classic with the contemporary, fusing old school elements like the melodic bass line and stuttering synth licks, with bumpy rhythms that add a modern charm to the composition of this house number.

The B side opens with 'Habibti' a much deeper and dark trip with rolling grooves, deep vocal samples and lead sounds that come from Eastern lands; an immense house cut made strictly for the dancefloor. Finally, 'K.O.T.B' closes the record, a no nonsense house cut, tipping the focus over to a chuggy bass groove, tension building strings and rugged drums with a beautiful vocal sample; the result is a weighty peak-time interpretation.

Following on from the success of Volume One in the Sambatek remixes series, Volume Two offers an even more diverse take on Kirk's effusive productions seeing BNJMN (UK), Spatial (UK) and Argentina's Jonas Kopp step up to the plates.

DJ Sneak returns from Dance Music sabbatical with massive new Chicago House EP on Parisian imprint Frappé.

The 4 tracks on the Frappé EP are crafted in Sneak’s signature uncompromising and gritty style. The title track "Chicago House" brings the purest of filtered sampling, a Sneak tradition and a firm blast from the past packaged up neatly for both the veteran and new clubbers alike.

"I need you" is all about that house groove. Layered chunky drums, smooth vocals and sweet synth pads lay the foundations to another classic cut.

“When you dance” has a bouncy, looping melody that utilises driving drum loops and mesmeric vocals to deliver an instant hook. This is a pure cut, engineered for dancefloors.

“A little Acid” completes the collection on a more electronic tip, with Sneak tweaking the 303 in his ever so distinctively funky way.

The record will be out exclusively on vinyl for the first 6 month complete with a special colour cover of different Sneak visuals on the back and front, it's likely to be flying off the shelves quickly!
