Traxmen, legendary Chicago label created by the very own Robert Armani presents an exclusive capsule collection on vinyl of the artist greatest hits honoring his 30th Anniversary in the music industry.Robert Armani is a living legend and he is loved from Chicago to Belgium. It’s the ultime collection and an unique opportunity to celebrate the artist’s outstanding career.

Mostly records, the onward recordings sub-label, presents Unum Festival by Franco Cinelli, which includes two remixes made by Bs As deep. One of these versions is with his pseudonym "System T", chosen to do some works inclined to tech house and more experimental sounds sometimes.

Unum festival is an event characterized by five simple elements of life; music, sand, pines, the sea and the mountains.

The golden beach of Rana e Hedhun is where the festival will host 50 international and local acts over the course of 5 days and 4 nights.
Franco Cinelli is summoned every year to bring his music from Latin America to Albania.

Franco had a good idea in his head to print on a vinyl one of the tracks that had been Anthem in one of those events, which is also used as the official track and curtain of one of the promotional videos of Unum festival.

In "Mostly" both Bs As deep (owner) and Maxi iborquiza (owner) they had thought of ​​including Franco in their next release. They talked about it, and presented some ideas.
This is how this project was born, proposed by Franco himself to Mostly Records.

"We thought it was a very good idea, we keep in mind the exposure of the event and that Franco is also our friend, and we know what he can offer. Franco is an icon in our country, not only as an artist, but also as an excellent person. In addition, we had already worked together on Onward Rec.

With maxi we are low profiles in the scene, we like to work and contribute our music and our imprint without being behind any fashion conditioning, that is why we opted for two completely different versions for this vinyl; influenced by the sound that we like the most, house, with very musical and instrumental overtones, and on the other hand a more intense and effective sound for the DANCE FLOOR." with several American influences.

The main track is the one that occupies the entire A side, is the original, composed by Franco Cinelli, said track is like a loop that introduces us to the rhythm and with a very attractive arrangement of vocals, what is interesting is the constancy of the track, Franco manages to keep the public's attention with productions that have a particular attraction in his beats, which maintain the groove all the time and as the track unravels, it changes little by little, to return again to that hypnotic loop that very few can achieve.

The cover art is based on the photographic images of the same event, captured by a great professional such as Bruce Wuthrich, to whom we thank and give all the credits.

There will be a limited edition of several copies for Argentina, which will contain inserts with information and photos.
We like to do that as part of an added value; In addition, the followers of the label like it and value it.

Well. Where do we start with 'Deep Inside' Originally released in the golden NYC House era of 1993, this 5 tracker literally smashed everything in sight. And still does now! The epitome of an evergreen, all-time classic release. Masters At Work Louie Vega and Kenny Dope were on a major roll in this era, producing, remixing, dj-ing and everything in-between, these guys put in ridiculous work.

They are joined on this EP by a roll-call of names and collaborators, Erick Morillo engineering the title track Check. Maurice Joshua on co-production duties You got it. Vocals by Ms. Barbara tucker They're there. Killer, rock hard drums Stacks of Soul Masterfully chopped up Disco samples All present. Serious stuff. Sometimes a record just manages to capture and distill the true essence of what this is all about and 'Deep Inside' is one such record, it bears all the hallmarks of golden era MAW, all the signposts of what was happening in NYC's clubs in the early to mid 90's were there within it's grooves.

Now, remastered, and reissued with the full involvement of Strictly Rhythm this seminal piece of NYC House history is made available again with all original, full sleeve artwork intact as per the 1993 original. From the archives we pulled this track out noticing the new parts never heard along with the vocal sample which was actually Anane’s first time in the studio with Masters At Work behind the mic back in 96’.

'Are U Going My Way' (Time Traveler Rework) is actually his take on the Pat Metheny classic 'Are You Going With Me' It brings his melange of jazz, funk and soul to a great new reimagining. 'Prometheus' is then a majestic journey that layers up warm bass, rolling beats and lush chords for a super soothing session.

Chicago artist Justin Kay was hugely prolific in his day and world under several different nom de plume. Now some of his best work is being revisited for a series of posthumous releases. He traversed several different sound worlds with equal aplomb from bright pop to sludge metal via IDM. Under his Cosmic AC alias he manages to mix up equal parts ambient bliss with breakbeat action, raw techno and emotive house. The standouts of this Continuations album come thick and fast from the high speed jungle breaks of 'Blue Whirl' to the jazzy downtempo delights of 'Hedge Clipper' and plenty in between. See also the majestic pop serenity of closer 'WTWIRDYMTBOWSA.'

Parisian underground cult-figurehead VOIRON is next up on Glasgow's Craigie Knowes. The 4 track VOIRONZINOR EP strikes with a ferocious blend of Acid, Rave and Hardcore sounds with that signature VOIRON dusting of Gabber-esque roughness. Two years may seem like a very short stop gap between original release and reissue, but when the music comes at this kind of grade who's complaining? Much like his contemporaries such as Fred P and DJ Qu, Patrice Scott's take on deeper-than-deep house conjure up ambient fantasies coloured with twinkling synth lines and slowly exhaled pads. It's not all fuzzed-out bliss though, as "2000 Black" sneaks a warm and snarling bassline amidst the soothing elements around it. "Mind Rhythms" especially shines with its combination of heavy groove and intricate melodies bubbling away under the surface.

"Never 4get EP", an EP of house tracks from KERAW (Bruce Vanderro & Lucas Moinet) made at their Studio 937 in Paris. For this release, they wanted to give back the original color of the traditional deep house sound from New Jersey with four essential-to-release tracks of theirs. "Never 4get About The Second Vibe" pays tribute to the 90's deep chords tradition with a proper hardcore deep house second vibe. On the other hand, "Until The End Of The Night" brings a deep & introspective ballad theme to the record, while "50%" and "Jersey Bass" ensure the resurrection of the early 90's traditional New Jersey sound. All tracks have been composed, recorded and produced at Studio 937 with yesterday's and today's hardware equipment. Matter of fact, Keraw never wants to forget the NY sound of deep house music foundations.

KERAW is a deep house production duo made by Lucas Moinet (Groove Boys Project) and Bruce Vanderro (aka Rawaï). This production team is the fusion between an instrumentalist and a beat maker, and became a common ground project for paying tribute to the early 90's US House sound. Their production process is mainly hardware based with an full analog recording studio and old school recording methods. Through their record collection, Lucas & Bruce fell for the NY deep house sound and co-founded the Studio 937 in 2018 as a place to create, experiment and record their music. Behind the desk, they play old school house music records in the NY tradition.

Listen to this if you like: anything that we've put out last year, wrapped together in a lovely double pack of a 12 and 10. The Roundup part 1 is the first part of an annual recurring event: the big Heist family remix EP, where all artist names get put in a big bowl, and by luck of the draw, find themselves remixing (and remixed by) another Heist artist. We've got Max Graef remixing Detroit Swindle and turning the break up into a full on Graef-affair. The label heads themselves take 'The Organ Grinder"'s 'Change all the time' and turn into a deep Chicago-esque tune and completing the 12, there's Frits Wentink's take on Bluebottle, experimenting with his trademark shuffle. On the 10, Standout track of the first year of Heist 'Jungle' gets a lovely rework by Nachtbraker, giving it a more 4x4 feel than the original and The Organ Grinder who turns Frits Wentink's Schrewd into a full on Filter house cut. Tommy Largo is a big deal in the world of jacking house and here he lands on Greenhouse Recordings with plenty of evidence to support that. His sound comes steeped with Southern influences on opener 'BBQ Ribs' with its noodling jazz chords and spoken word mutterings making for a lively atmosphere over funky beats. The Jam Funk Remix has a Chicago bump to it with the jazzy keys left in place over well-swung drums. 'On No Not Again' hints at new jack swing with its steamy sax lines and effortlessly catchy groove before 'BBQ Ribs' (Oddphonic remix) closes out with the deepest sound of the lot, perfect for when the sun has gone down and the party heads indoors.

Mr Robert Armani has allowed us to reissue two of his most iconic tracks. Circus Bells and Ambulance are two classics of the Techno and House scene; Cannot be missing in any collection!

Sister Label to Vanguard Sound Anunnaki Cartel plays host to the fourth installment of the Vanguard Sound Series featuring 4 tracks from crew members Dakini9 (Lola), Chris Mitchell, DJ. Spider, and founder Amir Alexander. During the time since Vanguard Sound Vol. 3 launched the Vanguard Sound label, the series has reached a kind of cult classic status among the most dedicated U.S. underground vinyl collectors. As more and more people discover Alexander and his Crew of ultra talented DJ/Producers, their releases on discogs disappear and then reappear for three to five times their original price. Buy on sight status is quickly being achieved by all six members of this shadowy Crew.

The four tracks contained in this release all touch base with the vibes already established by the Crew, while continuing to expand the sonic palette as well.
Amir Alexander's Cypher is classic dirty analog at it's finest. With a slightly overdriven synth baseline leading the way, followed by restless percussion. Midway through, deep and mysterious pads create a dreamy texture as a spoken word passage muses about loyalty to those you came up with.

Chris Mitchell's 213NL raises the temperature with Chris's signature "Phrenetic" drum programming under an SH101type acid baseline oscillating wildly as melodic strings soar.
DJ Spider keeps things gutter with some Vanguard/ Plan B style street knowledge in the form of New World Resistance. An industrial/ futurist tech beat frenzy full of vocals dropping science about the New Word Order's plans for global domination.
Dakini9 closes the release by taking us to the depths and beyond with her deeply emotive work in the form of Rollercoaster to Nowhere. Sci fi atmospherics weave in and out of lushly serene pads while her always deadly serious percussion marks the time effortlessly. Time travel is evoked as the dulcet tones erode all sense of the here and now. Fall into infinity! For the collector's, this one is not to be missed as it is a rare Vanguard Volume on it's sister label Anunnaki Cartel with both logos on one record. Don't sleep..

To mark EPM’s 20th anniversary we’ve been releasing a series of EPs, each one focussing on a different genre. In May we brought you a taste of Techno with Robert Hood, Ben Sims, James Ruskin and Mark Broom each delivering their distinct production skills, whilst this September sees the release of our second EP bringing together cuts by some of Electro’s leading lights - The Advent & Zein Ferreira, Carl Finlow, Detroit’s Filthiest and Modulator (a.k.a. Freddie Fresh).

For the third and final EP in the series we turn our attention to House music, and once again we’ve commissioned four brand new and exclusive tracks from artists who we’ve had the pleasure to work with over the years.

First up is none other than a Detroit Techno founding father and the TechnoSoul innovator himself Eddie Fowlkes, who delivers a classy opener in ‘1-2-3’ that’s deep yet vibrant and showcases his legendary status. Next is a fellow Motor City modernizer, Jon Dixon whose musicianship and productive talent takes him from jazz to techno which he skilfully brings to ‘Mack & Bewick’. Motech Records’ founder DJ 3000 brings us the spirit of ‘Summer 1995’ as he briefly steps away from techno to give us this uplifting sun-drenched stunner. Final track ‘The Beat’ comes from Rico & Sonny, the pseudonym of Chicago based DJ duo and production team of Adam Stolz and the talented Tim Baker, recorded before his devastating and untimely passing. His music lives on and we’d like to dedicate this EP to him.

The ‘EPM20’ compilation which features all the tracks from the EPs plus additional cuts from a host of other artists and EPM friends will follow this autumn.

Over the last couple of years, Christopher Rau has built a reputation as the finest ear canal masseuse in the contemporary house music scene, catching the attention of fellow Hamburger DJ Koze who has recruited him for this new three-track EP.
