Eight years after Cuthead's "Give'n'Take", it's Sneaker's turn to put together four of his favorite tracks for Uncanny Valley's compilation series. The artwork is once again by Planetluke com aka Luca Lozano. "This record is a vista of my world where music inhabits the air between people. As an exchange of genius, emotions, gestures - even conventions, rituals, and love. Dedicated to L.B. BaD, whose music I inhaled and whose records inspired me on my quest for deepness. You will be missed!" (Sneaker) Besides L.B. BaD's wonderful "Late In The Evening (Music's Seeping Thru)" you'll get three absolute bangers on top. The Optimistic Misanthropes are Mystic Bill, VeXaTioN and Sneaker himself. One of the most influential Chicago House DJs, true to the underground for over three decades now, and once part of the Trax Records roster... Mystic Bill. VeXaTioN already got to know him back in the days but is currently hailing from Mexico City. His track was born in Los Angeles and remixed by Sneaker in Berlin. Also, Left Unknown's "Maedchen" got the jacking Midas touch from Sneaker, a touch you've come to recognize. Behind the one-off project is Saxonian Gnista aka DJ Detox and somebody who wants to remain incognito. Jacob Korn however is well-known since the early days of Uncanny Valley and is above all Sneaker's best buddy at TailOut Studio, Dresden.

Kenny Dope and Louie Vega's Nu-Yorican Soul project was responsible for some of the biggest underground club hits to come out of NYC throughout the 1990's, their collective vast musical knowledge, impeccable taste and legendary status as DJ's in the city only helped elevate them to the highest level.

"The Nervous Track" is a fine example of the duo's deep musical heritage, originally released on Nervous Records in 1993 it's deep pads, bassline and solid as a rock breakbeats captured the ears and minds of any self respecting DJ or dancer who came within a hundred miles of it, the very definition of a classic! Fusing the worlds of Jazz, Latin, HipHop and House MAW set the blueprint for generations of DJ's and producers to come with records like this.

Here, re-mastered and re-issued from the original DAT's in conjunction with Nervous Records NYC is a piece of dance music history, "The Nervous Track" is available again and still sounding as vital and groundbreaking as it did on it's original release.

House music icon Kerri Chandler unveils his first album in 14 years, Spaces and Places, a global celebration of club and sound system culture, meticulously created by the New Jersey producer/DJ over several years on location at twenty-two of the world’s most distinguished nightclubs. Each track built on the spaces individual relationship with Kerri, often through decades of live shows or appearances, and in the process capturing unique rhythmic and emotional nuances.

Written and performed with a temporary studio on the centre of each dance floor, this jaw dropping 3 x LP pressed on transparent green vinyl in a stunningly designed tri-fold picture sleeve complete with A2 poster insert, showcases Kerri at his finest. Taking in never before heard tracks, versions and mixes separate to the four samplers that preceded it, this incredible body of work and concept has seen the album submitted for two Grammy awards.

As one of dance music’s most respected and authentic figures, Kerri Chandler is a true originator of his genre, with an impeccable discography and signature sound to match. He has unquestionably helped to shape house music’s positive outlook over the last 30 years. Not only from the DJ booth and studio, but also as an A&R via his Kaoz Theory label which has worked with contemporary talents like Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler and The Martinez Brothers. Now, Kerri Chandler is set to release a carefully rendered and truly unique body of work. “The first time I stepped into a nightclub was with my father as a child. I saw the magic of what a club space could sound and feel like as my Dad set up the DJ equipment at The Rallye Racquet Club. Hearing the power of those huge Altec Lansing "Voice of the Theater" Speakers and Horn-loaded JBL subwoofers fascinated me! In the late 80s, I was spoiled sonically by playing on several Richard Long Sound Systems around New York and New Jersey. This is why ever since I first ventured away from home, I have been infamous with my soundchecks at any space I have performed in. I make sure, with the help of the engineers in these “Spaces and Places”, many I have known most of my career, to get the best from each system. Each sound system is unique to each venue, even if it's the same type of gear, because of the physical space. And when you add the right audience to that specific nightclub, it comes to life! The club owners and engineers were gracious enough to let me take over each club and turn each venue, into a recording studio. I wanted to express the love of what could be possible in capturing my productions in the venue, from the heart of each space, right on the dance floor and I translate it onto this album, which I created over the course of 4 years and 24 venues later. In 2015, Soulful house royalty Stacy Kidd joined forces with Peven Everett to release a limited run of this dance floor anthem “Body Jerkin”, and now that these now hard to find records are fetching over £100 it’s time that a remastered, reissue were made available in stores again, and South Street keep growing their label with more essential hits like this.

This reissue features 3 essential versions of the hit "Body Jerkin'". The original mix sits on the A side, with a bass and drum groove being joined with strings, a nod to a classic disco hit and Peven’s vocals completing this soulful house groove, the classic spin that has been heard worldwide on dancefloors since it's original issue. The B side features one first time on vinyl mix, the Chicago Mix and then a never before released Disco Mix. The Chicago mix, a smooth and bubbly deep and funky groove and the Disco mix a raw and energetic rework to round off this trio of wicked house cuts. Time to welcome back Ben Sun to DOG following his 2012 debut with us, the Love Momentum EP which had the likes of Gerd, Soul Clap and Red Rackem salivating nicely. The London based , Australian born producer is one of a handful of talented and exciting young antipodeans creating a buzz right now alongside the likes of Tornado Wallace, Frank Booker and Fantastic Man to name a few. With just a handful of releases and remixes appearing on esteemed labels such as Royal Oak, Quintessentials and his own Voyeurhythm labels its clear that Bens happy to put the groundwork in and focus on quality over quantity.

Kicking off the EP we have the title track Your Footprints setting the scene with Bens trademark raw hihats, bass and 909 kick. Were talking unashamedly old school Nu Groove-era house here but with a deep sense of knowledge and skill which pushes things way beyond the pastiche. Chiming melodies join the gentle string line while the soft vocal repeats hypnotically. Layers of percussion build to the breakdown where things get a little more frenetic with the introduction of timbales and extra vocals, but all the while a laid back, subdued feeling remains making this such an easy track to fall in love with as you would some long-lost classic inadvertantly rediscovered.

Next up Ben drops the BPMs a little for a lovely, loose, lo-slung number known as Affirmation. A snaking analogue bass line provides the hook and sets the scene whilst a layer of moody chords build around it underpinned by bens carefully crafted MPC beats and vocal FX. This one is very simple but will kill it on a big system.

Finally we have the Chicago don Tevo Howard getting busy on his remix of Your Footprints. Never one to spit n polish things to the point of sterilization, Tevo keeps things dirty and raw in the extreme which only adds to the sleazy, almost disturbing vibe of the original. Working up a brilliantly catchy new synth bass line and simple drum groove we venture deep into the world of Mr Howard as he does his inimitable thing so perfectly.

DJ SizleCaude is the head of the Herbal Soundz label and this is his first EP. It's one steeped in classic house knowledge and Chicago-referencing sounds. That is particularly true on 'About Time' with its spoken word sermon over dusty old drum sounds and hefty deep house drums. 'Kindly Listen' cuts it up with razor-sharp hi-hats and swirling pads that sound like a church organ in meltdown. Last of all is 'Ntho Tse', a swirling cosmic cut that takes you on a voyage through lush synth work and heartwarming pads before settling on a nice jazzy vibe.

As we hurtle towards our 200th Freerange release the quality output you've come to expect from Freerange shows no sign of faltering with Bas Amro bringing you an absolutely stellar EP entitled You And Me. Dutch wunderkind Bas has built himself a solid reputation through only a handful of releases on labels such as Wolfskuil, Kutchuli and most notably his 2011 EP Ten on Freerange which has gone onto become a stone-cold classic in the deep house mecca of Johannesburg. This long awaited follow up delivers on every level and if early feedback and crowd
response is anything to go by looks set to push Bas further into the spotlight where he deserves to be.
You And Me starts in a deceptively understated manner wrapping you in a shroud of warm, dubby stabs underpinned by a rolling groove that can't fail to draw you onto the dancefloor. Things stay deep with hints of Chandler and echoes of Basic Channel until the breakdown arrives, the filters roll up and the whitenoise
shines through bringing a new energy and dynamic to the track. A classic, timeless vibe which we're proud to be bringing you on Freerange. As with his previous release Ten, Bas works hard to deliver not one but two faultless originals so flip over for Across The Street featuring the vocals of Jennifer and you won't be disappointed. A simple, repeating six-measure synth hook drives the track and brings with it a lovely looseness and lack of obvious
structure. Kennifer's sparse, almost improvised sounding vocal drops heighten the sense of space and freefall effect making such a refreshing change to most of todays formulated and conventional house music. Last up is an amazing remix of You and Me from rising start Matt Karmil who brings his own unique and refreshing sound to the EP. Karmil's recent LP on PNN
won rave reviews from all corners and with just two other releases on Beats In Space and International Records Recordings he seems to have burst from out of nowhere but has certainly become hot property in the last 12 months. His forthcoming remix for John Talabot and Axel Boman under their Talaboman is immense and here he treads a similar path focusing on a raw percussion-heavy sound with very minimal tweaks and effects adding subtle colour and interest. These days it's very hard to breakthrough with an original, new approach to house
but Matt Karmil seems to have done it with ease.

Electric Blue presents another outstanding and timeless release by Ron Trent aka RT Factor! E.B.S. 1 is a 15 minutes musical journey by the Chicago Master.

Recent Detroit Swindle remixes of Romanthony, Hercules & Love Affair and Seven Davis Jr have helped confirm the Dutch duo as one of the most exciting and hyped deep house acts to emerge from Amsterdam in recent years. Dear friends, do you like gummy bears, squidgy strawbs,
liquorice or rather marshmallows? Leipzig based producer
Littlelake kicks off on Brombért with an EP, that has it all in
its paper sleeve. “Mixed Bag” is a four tracker, which sounds
like taking your sugar overdose from the candy store straight
to your favourite warehouse party. With “Long Time Ago” and
its gravitational drive, the funky lucidity of “Another
Lovesong”, the splendid walking bass of “Padang Padang”
or swinging sawtooth anthem “Yam Bean”, “Mixed Bag” is a
typical Brombért-Release: rich in detail, engineered rigorously,
nevertheless it always has a couple of screws loose. As
Littlelake puts it himself: “Brombért looks a bit odd, but he’s
actually very nice.” Physical release comes with handcrafted,
screen printed artwork by fabulous graphic artist Zatina
Kessl.

Finally the official remastered reissue of one of the rarest and sought after italo-disco record from early 80's. You'll be hard pushed to hear anything like this ever again... this is an epic out there electronic production that's one of a kind. In the same period of other italo-disco classics like REM, STOPP, Klein & MBO, GANG previously reissued by Best Italy, they representing the roots of chicago sound played by the pioneers like Ron Hardy!

Texas based producer Ben Hixon has been garnering a wide following with his clever old-skool influenced house tracks. The feature track 'ND Fresh', spreads its' wings over the entire A-side. This house builder has the ability to tear the roof of the party. A strong, tribal and urban builder that creates a scene on the dancefloor. With his background as a multi-instrumentalist and recording engineer, you get an interesting and unique approach on rhythm within the house genre. The two B-sides offer up some great material as well. 'As You' is a soulful stunner that gives off strong deep Chicago vibes. 'I Smoke!!' is the banger of the bunch that will send any party into overdrive. It's great to see and hear someone is making such strong house music from the south there in America. Top Notch!

It's Toby Tobias time folks! Ahead of his brilliant LP which will be dropping here on DOG in September we give you a little reminder of why he's one of the heroes of the underground UK house scene. Toby has been honing his skills as a producer, DJ, promoter and all round nice guy for years now and we're very happy to be offering up fresh new club business from the man himself in the form of The Rising EP. Never one to go for the obvious, he always puts his neck on the line and pushes his productions in an interesting and often unexpected direction, making full use of his fully analogue studio to get those 'happy accidents' into his tracks which gives him the edge over so many others on the scene today.

Even with a straight up club banger like The Rising, Toby makes sure things stay edgy, raw and just a little bit mental. At the end of the day this is a Chi-town influenced filter disco banger but with fresh spin that'll make sure it creates the perfect vibe when you drop it in the clubs.

Taking things in a deeper direction we have Jitterbug on the remix, keeping the pace and drive but dipping the original in a vat of thick, syrupy treacle which gives us an altogether more heady, spaced out vibe for those moments when only the trippiest shit will suffice.

Flip over for Toby's own dub version of The Rising which strips it all back and warps it out for a loopey, Soundstream influenced take on the original. Full of attitude but keeping the bags of fun times feel with more punch than Frank Bruno (in his heyday!)

Aaron Andrew's Chubby label doesn't rush things. Since launching in 2018 and now only just hitting its sixth release though the music sure is worth the wait and is proof that quality will always win over quantity. Leonid's twin brother, Al Smith opens up with the cuddly and cosmic depths of 'Drama Room' before getting more dark and unsettling with his twisted synth modulations on 'Full Of Music', which then becomes a gorgeous downtempo cut with star-gazing pads and splashy hits within the Specter remix. Dan Piu picks up the pace for some delightfully warm deep house dynamics on 'Days Gone' and 'Snows Of Solaris'. Last of all is the more scuffed up, heads down deep house murk of Rai Scott's remix of Dan's intro tune, 'Day's Gone'.

For Michigander’s fifth release, Brian Kage delivers four solid dance-floor fillers, each infused with a unique blend of melodic Detroit soul, intelligent acid and perfectly mixed percussion. Each offering teleports the listener into a future where social distancing has finally abated and celebration can commence.


Lockdown starts the record off with undulating 303 bass notes that groove around in a circular arpeggiated formation until hypnotic 909 percussion breaks through with echoing claps and weaves together a tale of futuristic tension building.


Hold On Pain Ends features a stabbing analog synth-line that repeats a half-beat phrasing contrasted with slamming technical percussion, a heavy kick and a lush pad that is perfect for late nights in a warehouse.


That Woman from Michigan contains gentle swinging upbeat percussion and deep soothing chords with samples of Governor Whitmer asking all Michiganders to do their part and join together in solidarity. A subtly modulating acid line builds tension into a perfectly resonating crescendo.


F.U Covid19 - An ominous swelling pad rips across the dystopian horizon as swinging rimshots build around a deep pulsing kick and a dirty mono synth swirl. Echoing vocal samples punctuate this acidic frenzy until the tension falls away giving dancers an opportunity to catch their breath before the next round of infectious rhythmic groove forces the hypnotic spell to intensify.

Shortly after the release of 'Like Father Like Son', Generation Next is coming with his third 12' release titled 'Nocturne'. With an array of styles, Generation Next shows why he is and great upcoming artist and has good diversity.

The first song on the 12' is 'Idee Fixe', a very smooth cut dance tune. The piano chords carry the song with the help of some strong percussion and a moving bass. 'Chili Cheese Fries' follows with an underground sound. It gives you a real Detroit feel. A very simple track that you can vibe too.

Echoes of this summer's 'Shango' still shimmer through systems as Detroit's Waajeed continues to make good on his promise: to 'put paint where it ain't.'

After years of soul, funk and hip-hop explorations as a founding member of the Platinum Pied Pipers (among many other innovative escapades) and, most recently, a soulful remix of Amp Fiddler on Kenny Dixon's Mahogany Music, Waajeed is building on the fresh line of house grooves he commenced this summer. His first pedigree dancefloor tracks in almost 20 years, he taps directly into the source and builds with his own soulful bricks. It's working, too; DJ-wise he's playing alongside Moodyman, Mr. Scruff and Carl Craig this fall, while 'Shango' has enjoyed heavyweight support by The Black Madonna, Carl Craig, Jackmaster, Gilles Peterson and many notable selectors.
