Em Vee's on-point Lumberjacks In Hell imprint reaches its fifth release with another three disco edits par excellence. This time around, it's the turn of Germany's Frico and British edit specialist Mannmademusic to supply the goods. Frico dominates the A-Side with his fast-moving edit of Coffee's "Casanova", teasing out its vocal hook with an extended piano build-up. On the B-Side Manmademusic offers two cuts; first up is "Circles", a guitar led stomper with loose percussion, which serves as the perfect contrast to the slow moving, symphonic disco strings and syrupy vocals of "Easy Lover". Another winner for what is surely one of the more discerning disco labels out there.

Johnny 'D' DeMairo has always been about disco. It was something that underpinned his seminal house label Henry Street Music, the imprint he set up with Tommy Musto in 1993.

Release #6 on Basic Fingers comes from a true Stockholm crate diggin' legend and notorious producer Kool DJ Dust.
Mr Dust truly knows his history and is also highly skilled DJ that has rocked most clubs in and around Scandinavia.
For his debut on Basic Fingers Dust goes loose on a French disco anthem (Editsa Alexandra), a raw gospel jam (Take It To Jesus) and finally a ruff percussion workout (Dancing Suite).
Its an EP with something for all you that got ears firmly directed towards the (under)ground!

More vinyl remixes from Psychemagik with the long awaited official 'Dancehall Days' remix sanctioned by Jack Hues from Wang Chung himself.
Jack liked Psychemagiks re-edit of Dance Hall Days so much he contacted the duo and offered them the parts for an official remix.
The result is a monster dancefloor friendly beast that is true to the original edit but with some extra magik! Limited edition white vinyl release limited to only 500 copies, don't sleep!

The Future Disco series has become the essential collection for anyone with a house and disco musical obsession. The fifth volume: Downtown Express takes us on yet another journey into all the current must own dancefloor cuts. The limited samplers have become highly sought after collectors' items in their own right by taking key tracks from the albums and exclusively making them available on 12' vinyl.

We open up with Moon Boot's Off My Mind on the A side which has been tearing up dancefloors all over the world for the past month with it's infectious 80's groove and chopped up longing vocal.

As we flip over onto the B Side Metromony need no introduction having been nominated for a Mercury music award for their album 'The English Riviera'. Album track Corinne has been remixed by super producer Mario Basanov who has kept the song's structure intact but given the record a dancefloor vibe that will feel a natural choice for 4am.

Finally Something Happened is a huge looping disco cut reminiscent of the late nineties, Pitto's instrumental remix makes it unrelenting and very effective on the dancefloor with its big build ups and even bigger drops.

This sampler is strictly limited to 300 copies.

Fantastic Queen Constance double A-sided special featuring two of the best tracks ever released on this cult disco label, an offshoot of NYC's renowned P&P Records. Staying faithful to the translucent red vinyl of the 1979 original releases, this features on side A Kim Taylor's amazing lost disco funk gem 'Stump Your Feet & Dance'. Produced by NYC disco legend Peter Brown, this track is a surefire floor filler and features all the wonderful hallmarks of a classic P&P production - funky rhythm section, phat driving bass, screaming moogy synths and that feel-good disco party atmosphere that just makes you wanna 'Stump Your Feet & Dance'. On the flip is the equally awesome afro-disco stormer 'Licky', another ultra-rare Peter Brown creation. With its rocking female vocals, hot sax solos and some wildly groovy synth action, this is a wonderful slice of afro-american fusion that rocks any discerning dancefloor. Top quality release and with two top class tracks on one disc it's top value for money too!

Here we have a limited pressing containing three raw, underground house remixes of tracks from the forthcoming LP of a certain Essen based producer. Ava label boss Damiano Von Erckert goes jacking on an uptempo old school Detroit techno influenced Jam. Homewreckers head deeper on their beautiful mix of High Needs Low whilst Ugly Drums absolutely kills it with an amazing stripped back disco approach that shows just why he's such a hotly tipped producer for 2012. Essential.

This is the first remix that Todd Rundgren has ever done for another artist. This is at least what Rundgren

nerds/experts have told us. Anyway, we are of course extremely proud to put this wonderful music on wax.

Todd Rungren has been a big inspiration for Lindstrom, so this is a dream come through.

Welcome reissue for this super-rare space funk album from 1983, one of the holy grails of the Cosmic scene. Extremely expensive and hard-to-find in the original, this LP was created by legendary French producers Jean-Pierre Massiera and Bernard Torelli (listed here as Areisam and Bernie) and released on French la bel Savoir Faire. It is a superb example of the duo's innovative electronic disco madness, always pushing boundaries while remaining supremely funky. Stand-out tracks are the Italo classic 'Challenger' - heady synths, tough bass and astronaut vocals combine in a strange space odyssey; 'Cruisin', a superb electro-boogie style cut with a hypnotic driving bassline, and the fantastic 'On The Border', a tight funky percussive workout whipped by wild space-rock guitars. But as you would expect from the Massiera/Torelli trademark, all tracks are great and the LP a worthy addition to any self-respecting Italo / Cosmic collection.

After a couple big releases on Gamm Jazzy Jens now drops a huge soulful boogie EP on Basic Fingers. The first cut is a lovely rework of Mascara's "See You In LA" which features the amazing vocal chords of Luther Vandross. On the flip we find an uplifting disco/boogie cut that uses elements from our big boy Barry White. Its truly an amazing feelgood tune

The Mike Simonetti "edit dump" continues... In his grand tradition of another round from his vast "archive" (AKA his Itunes folder) of old (and some new) edits he has done over the years. The a-side is one of his floor fillers, a live version of one of his favorite songs
of all time, while the b-side takes it to the obscure side with a slow heavy burner you most definitely never heard before. (Mike has a notoriously sick record collection). Rounding out the 12" is an obscure track from a very popular new wave band of the 80s...

Following on from the massively in-demand Todd Terje remix of Bryan Ferry's 'Alphaville' comes another incredible remix by the man of the moment, this time a superb re-edit of Roxy Music's evergreen club classic 'Love Is The Drug'. Pressed by The Vinyl Factory, the double A-side also contains an epic Balearic remix of Roxy's 'Avalon' by fellow Norwegian disco legend Lindstrom. Essential!

Music; lover/producer/nut/obsessive/collector... Andy Ash first began producing and DJing in his early teens, taking inspiration from house producers and DJ's such as Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Carl Craig and a whole host of others. Influenced from listening to DJ's such as these from an early age Andy has been digging into different sounds from across the musical spectrum in order to create his own blend of disco, house, techno and anything else that fits. Andy has recently begun to release his own blend of house and disco with a double 12' on Chicago's Stillove4music, several releases on Five20East records, some naughty edits in the popular L.E.S.S. series and an EP on Universal Vibes. Keep eyes and ears pinned for more forthcoming original and remix material :)
