El Rudo Del House is an imaginary creature who speaks to you with a pitched-down voice and produces heavy house rhythms that are engineered to directly trigger the movement of different body parts (body mechanics). This instalment features the second mask in this series of releases that were beautifully crafted by Cómeme's artwork creator Sarah Szczesny. Each release of El Rudo del House features a mask. "(These masks) are characters that allow anonymity and freedom,' El Rudo states, and have the power to evoke spirits at your celebrations'. Also in keeping with the body movements evoked by the music, the cover of each release features images with dance poses in Rudo' costume (also designed by Szczesny) which show the different moves related to each release.

mit diesem Track die berühmte Ausnahme von der Regel erlaubt. Statt schmetternden
Bassdrums und pumpenden Beats, betören weiche Gitarren-Sounds und Hippie-esque
Flötenklänge. Der Name 'El Niño De La Flor' (spanisch für Blumenkind) kommt also
nicht von Ungefähr, sondern hält was er verspricht. Mit diesen harmonisch-
hypnotischen Klängen entführen die beiden Künstler Henning Richter und Tom Schön
zu einem Spaziergang nach Miami Beach.

Unusual tunes from PRAXXIZ Well, for this dreamy summer track the organizers of
the record label knocked the whole label concept on the head - just 'by the way'.
Where usually only real techno anthems are pressed into vinyl they allow themselves
the exception to the rule. Instead of smashing bass drums and pumping beats you'll
get an almost laid-back composition with a smooth guitar and hippie-esque flute
sounds that seduces your ears. So the title 'El Niño De La Flor' doesn't come out of
the blue and lives up to its promise. Henning Richter and Tom Schoen take you by the
hand to a nice summer walk in Miami Beach...

In the previous episode: one Queen of Hearts (Catherine Ringer) and two Aces of Spades (Müller + Makaroff) played a game of tango with shades of rock : Plaza Francia. It's beena triumph of leather bound with red velvet. These two worlds have gotten to know each other pretty well. It would have been easy to quickly put out a live album of the tour, and tempting to remix the studio album too. But to mix these two events into one, that's unheard of: it's an audacious venture to rework (and recompose) in a studio the songs recorded live. That's how seven pieces recorded in public on a multitrack were surgically dissected while retaining the live energy and handed over to expert remixers. Chico Sonido and Centavrvs. Sonido comes from digital cumbia and revamped two tracks from the original repertoire with aerial dub, while the Centavrvs collective, who practice a more poppy brand of electro but were bred with regional music (locale) and psychedelic Peruvian music from the 60's, offered the Señora Ringer a comfortable roots and amber setting. The German duo Wolfsburg Pupkulies & Rebecca were also called to service and gave the song 'La Mision' a Berlin shade, sombre and dancefloor till the break of dawn. There are also two remixes signed by Roy Dubb, mystery remixer who is in fact no other than... Christoph Müller, one of the three from Plazia Francia, who has been remixing tracks for years, either in his pre-Gotan Project phase

Right for the summertime Gold Records second release is ready to conquer Ibiza with a fine bomba from Belgium: Pedro Mercado & Karada's 'Behind The Sun'. Labelboss Rainer Weichhold didn't need long to be convinced by this uplifting piano house monster. With great interpretations from Dirtybird Shadow Child and Mobilee artist Rodriguez Jr. this release has everything needed for a big summer tune.

Featuring the worldwide disco/fusion hit single 'Jazz Carnival' and going on to sell more than half a million copies internationally, the album stayed in the UK Top 20 for eight straight weeks. An incredibly well thought out album both in pace, song selection and musicality, 'Light As A Feather' marked a maturing of the band as they began to rightfully utilise the studio as an instrument itself, embracing numerous mixing and recording techniques not yet common for the time as well as pioneering the use of the Big Muff and Dolby System to great effect. The end result is an album that endures to this day as a jazz funk masterpiece.

Now Far Out is pleased to present this seminal recording remixed and re-mastered from the original tapes, lovingly reproduced on heavy weight vinyl and CD. Featuring previously unreleased tracks and remixes from house stalwarts Theo Parrish, Ashley Beedle, Mark E and more, this definitive edition of Azymuth's breakthrough LP is a must-have for connoisseurs and an invaluable introduction to the Azymuth sound for the uninitiated.

In August of 2014 a request was sent out by Gilles Peterson for someone to issue the incredibly rare Brazilian LP Tam...Tam...Tam...!
This is because it's an extraordinary album, only issued once in 1958 as part of Mieco Askanasy's 1950s touring 'Braziliana' show. It's so rare not even Gilles Peterson has a copy.

The original music was written and produced with José Prates and as an album it stands out as a keystone in the development of the Brazilian sound that was to explode around the world in the decade to follow. This is the first time this landmark LP has been issued since 1958. An original, if you ever found one, would cost you in excess of £1000.

THE MUSIC:
The reason Gilles Peterson wanted this album reissued is because it is so extraordinary. Musically it works on a number of levels - firstly that the solid blueprint of 1960s Brazilian music runs throughout it. For example, if you listen to Track Three Side One 'Nana Imborô' you will hear 'Mas-Que-Nada'.

Secondly, the infectious rhythms, melodies and exotic sounds that emanate from this album are deep, raw and totally engaging. And the more you listen to Tam...Tam...Tam...! the more you hear its importance and influence.

This rare reissue comes at a crucial time, when in our connected and information saturated world few important things have escaped attention and reappraisal. Finding anything new and genuinely incredible is a rare feat.
