Fresh from '78: Brazilian funk lothario Marcelo's first big single (which was never out on a 45 before)- and a peak track from his debut eponymous album from the same year - gets a timely revisit from the Steven J's reissue/edit imprint Pepite. With its subtle piano striking Q&A, wild bass runs and clam-tight guitar/drum groove, Marcelo calls his way through the jam as if everything is a chorus. With its layered vocals, it's gutsy call to action for any dancefloor. Steven's edit stretches out the instrumental bars and brings out focus on the staccato vocal hook with a rising sense of momentum. Two great sides, one dope 45.

For the 5th in the Ele Records catalogue esteemed producer Cottam brings two killer edits to the table. The A side sees a joyous disco rework, extending and expanding elements to really hone in on that exuberant bassline and string section.
Flip it over and 'Jigsaw' delivers a dusty mixture of afro rhythms and stirring spoken words to entrance any audience it's set before.

Turbo Recordings is proud to present a release a full year in the making. A&R'd by Turbo Elder Thomas Von Party, Gender embodies the adventurous spirit of his own Multi Culti label, and marks a return to the kind of mega remix pack we used to make when the world was young and an alternate dub rework was all you needed to get by. Germany's Skinnerbox sets the template with a high-speed jungle rave banger, which is an accurate enough description but not something we would expect you to ever repeat out loud. The 12-inch also features versions by Swedish nice guy Axel Boman, who missed the submission deadline by 13 minutes but still managed to turn in a 12-minute epic jam, and Glasgow's Auntie Flo, who somehow harnessed the siren song of the iPhone with a marimba-heavy mix.

Inventive and genre-defying are only a few adjectives that describe producer/dj/artist Waajeed. After all, Waajeed -- born Robert O'Bryant IV in Detroit in 1975 -- grew up in Detroit's Conant Gardens, the birthplace of soul driven hip-hop underground music. His earliest memories are of evenings spent in his dining room on the eastside of Detroit listening to his father's record collection. A childhood immersed in Roy Ayers, Funkadelic, and Kraftwerk. He would eventually teach himself to program beats and play records at local house parties and school dances. But it wasn't until he found his chosen family at the age of 14 that Waajeed finally gained local respect. His new family was—T3, Baatin, and J Dilla— to form Slum Village circa 1991.

After receiving a full scholarship to The College for Creative Studies at the age of 19, Jeedo put aside his budding music career to pursue an education in art. While in college, he continued to develop his musical career by starting a record label inspired by Motown and Underground Resistance.

He founded Bling47 to release one of the first instrumental series, while also serving as a creative space for developing artists. In search of a wider audience, he formed genre defining Platinum Pied Pipers in 2002. In 2012 he formed his second record label DIRT TECH RECK to explore his more dance floor oriented music.

To this day Waajeed is still a sought after producer and collaborator with the likes of Mad Mike Banks, Theo Parrish and Amp Fiddler.
He continues to push the envelope as a producer and with his eclectic DJ sets.

The nascent Dj/Producer José Martí takes delight in being the first maker of the Presente life's work. With this record, he shows his beaming skills with these 2 tasteful edits that will uplift you to the warmest state of dancing.
On the starting side, the tropical flavour is brought straightforward to the dance floor. With 'Viveros', José places together the respective essences of Latin Jazz and House, and achieves a definitive fusion banger that vitalizes the party spirit to another level.
As the wax flips, 'Baile' suggest the dancer a sensible meeting with the almighty groove. Martí gets this chance meeting, pulling out that 70s funky vibe and turning it into a floorfiller leaving his classy mark.

Going Good's first release of 2018 is indeed a very special one.

Cosmic Handshakes sees the pairing of 2 extremely talented Detroit natives - Blair French & Todd Modes - who take elements of Disco, Techno, Jazz, House, Afrobeat, Latin music, Dub and Electronics and filter them through their own unique view of dance music. Steeped in soul, live instrumentation, sampling and analogous alchemical studio processes, French & Modes give us an exhilarating and fresh take on the deepest smoked out, after hours sounds of the city of Detroit.

'In The Mist' is the duo's second release, following on from 2013's 'The Delicate Details', released on the M1 Sessions imprint. The last 2-3 years has seen the pair individually release music on a plethora of varied and esteemed global labels such as FIT Sounds, Claremont 56, Rocksteady Discos and more.


A compelling body of work from front to back, the tracks on 'In The Mist' work perfectly as a self contained home listener, or as we've found, just as well on a darkened dancefloor, leaving the choice up to you, the listener.

Hagen Mosebach debut release, comes around with great remixes from Ron Flatter (labelhead of Pour La Vie Records) and dotSTRIPE (Supdub)!

Ijsbrand & Gert had always wanted to create balkan inspired music, and hence came the duo Stavroz. Beyond just sharing the same musical tastes, these two buddies bond over both being sound engineers (live for Ijs, studio for Gert), which makes them real goldsmiths' behind each and every production (such can be seen in this short clip which presents their title The Ginning').
Their music is imprinted with original inspirations while keeping to a jazzy/burlesque influence, leaving little to be left displeased. The bridge, so it seems, borderlines between minimal and jazz-house.

The first title of the EP, The Ginning' is constructed around guitarist, Max Honckelinx. The track's instrumental harmony is skilfully constructed by the duo as they borderline minimal and deep house.

The second original title of the EP, The Finishing' is merely a dialogue between a rhythmic stratospheric universe and the sax of Nathan Daems, well preserved from the first studio recording. The end result leaves us with 8 minutes of lyricism soaked in sophistication and technicality.

In regards to the remixes, Felkon, who has been presented several times before on the Délicieuse, takes on The Ginning' by including vocals which create a more dance-like ambiance.
Britta Arnold, a legendary pioneer from Bar 25 and Katerholzig, worked on The Ginning' as well with Sascha Cawa. They delivered a version more obscure yet wickedly effective.

As for the remixes of The Finishing', Powel continues to captivate us while executing his deep and melancholic twists. He entirely redesigns the piece's structure by retiring the voice' of the sax.
And then there's our man, Viken Arman, who spins his version of The Finishing' by refiguring the rhythm pattern and adding a new dimension to the bass.

It's time to invite some New Kids' onto the block as Jammhot come very correct with a 4 tracker of what can only be described as Lush' House Music. The EP is a collection of deep, swinging analogue grooves with both feet firmly planted in the Real House Music' sound.

The production duo who are split between both Leeds and London and currently hold a residency with Ape X in Newcastle have previously released on labels like Dirtcrew, Leftroom and fellow rEJEKT favorite Jamie Trench's Root For Bloom imprint.

On the remix front we've drafted in the Jedi master that is Dudley Strangeways (Ovum / Holic Trax) known for his tight stripped back productions, his mix offers a deeper, more sparce interpretation to the fuller sounding original and the fact that Dudley is a mastering engineer himself means that he's bang on our level when it comes to the quest for perfection.

Arthur Baker and Murk are two of the most iconic brands in electronic music. Arthur Baker's career started in Boston, and then hit its stride while he was living in New York City in the 80s and 90s, and he now spends much of his time in Miami.

Oscar G and Ralph Falcon aka Murk were born, raised, and lived their entire lives in Miami. This new single is a culmination of the three artists spending time together in Miami, and DJing on the weekly Murk Monday events at renowned Miami location Coyo Taco (delicious tacos up front, Beats in a secret club in the back).

Coyo combines the tribal house percussion that Murk is known for with the party-driven synths, vocals and instrumentation that is Arthur Baker's trademark.

Carioca DJ and producer JOUTRO MUNDO digs deep and delivers a stunning collection of reworks on this first release on his own label, Outra.

embarked on a trip to Cuba to participate in Two Beats One Soul' album on RVMK Records. The Results were four tracks on the album and one of them a very unique song Music And Life' featuring the sultry and angelic voice of Anané Vega. The song was penned by Josh Milan, and Louie Vega contributed with the music. Gene Perez on Electric Bass, Josh & Axel Tosca on Keyboards, and Luisito Quintero on Percussion. Released as a digital single recently, it's now on many radio and club charts worldwide, as well featured on compilations. On top of all this momentum Vega Records, then reached out to RVMK Records and licensed the track for a special picture vinyl release. The picture vinyl is a collectors piece, get your hands on it fast as there will be a limited number made. Marvin & Valentino started a project called 'Tambien' in collaboration with Munich based producer Bartellow from Munich. This is an official repress of the self-promoted 12 that came out in spring 2012. Three carefully selected tracks that got reinterpreted by the trio.

Hell Yeah is back with more beach ready and boat party styled summer tunes, this time from Riccio. This Italian producer has long been making essential edits, off kilter grooves and soul kissed house sounds that demand to be played loud and these new ones are no different.

Described by the label boss as Balearic Big Beat, this EP kicks off with Afro Chemy, a scorching seven minute tune that builds on a bed of fat drums. The scattered percussion is loose and organic and when the funky bass and colourful xylophone sounds comes in you can't help but cut loose. Add in a sexy trumpet line and you have the sound of summer distilled into seven sensational minutes.

Funky Cave will get any party started with its old school drum breaks and cymbal splashes sounding like the ocean when you plunge in on a hot day. Busted bass lines add a certain fatness and cosmic keys and steamy guitar licks make this another perfect outdoor anthem.

Last of all is the blissed out Heather, one to drop at sundown after a long day's dancing. The beats are warm and lumpy, the synths smear out to the horizon like gently breaking waves and soulful leads really get your heart swelling. Proper.

Soundway Records presents the debut EP from Amsterdam based The Mauskovic Dance Band - a potent, modern blend of Afro-Caribbean rhythms and space disco, destined for bustling dancefloors.

The Mauskovic Dance Band is the brainchild of the Amsterdam-based producer and musician, Nicola Mauskovic. A seasoned drummer, he finds himself constantly in demand - as part of Turkish psychedelic outfit Altin Gün, a recent tour with the revival of Zambian legends W.I.T.C.H., and a worldwide tour with psych-pop artist Jacco Gardner, with whom he then went on to form the dance-oriented duo Bruxas (released on Dekmantel). Throughout this hectic schedule Nic still found time to begin studio experiments that would eventually lead to several 7' singles, released on Swiss label Bongo Joe Records in 2017 under the name The Mauskovic Dance Band'.

Sneaker is going deep with his interpretation of Rai music on RAT 6. ''Rai is a type of Algerian popular music that arose in the 1920s in the Algerian city of Oran, back then known as ''little Paris'', it was a melting pot of various cultures, full of nightclubs and cabarets, it was the place to go for a bawdy good time. Out of this milieu arose a group of Male and Female Muslim singers, who rejected the refined, classical poetry of traditional Algerian music. Instead, to the accompaniment of pottery drums and end-blown flutes , they sang about the adversity of urban life in a raw, gritty, sometimes vulgar, and inevitably controversial language that appealed especially to the socially and economically disadvantaged.'' sounds like the definition of Rat Life! Put some drum machine patterns on top of it and here we go: long overdue Sneaker solo EP on Rat Life Records!

Hailing from Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, Steve Bird AKA Mr. Bird is the latest artist to land at Matasuna Records' nest, hatching an exotic and fiery EP.

Starting on a mid flight ambience, before charging to catch its funky prey, Dance Away, the opening track, is a scorching collaboration with Chief Commander Yaaba, one of the lead singers of London based combo Yaaba Funk. Undeniably catchy bass line, afro horns blended with a string of unexpected beat variations, Dance Away is a call to the dancefloor, a celebratory ground to let loose, where "mothers and sisters" alike are beckoned to shine to the positive tune.

The Sasquatch, in turn, takes us into deeper, different coordinates. A constant, relentless beat foundation spiked with stabs of funky phrasing hooking the listener from its inception, regardless of language, in an almost hypnotic mantra of soulful discourse, this banger is assuredly one for the clubs.

Up-tempo, with a finely tuned built up, Floating Funk teases the less attentive ear into believing this is a simple beat statement but Mr. Bird slams and surprises with an irresistible bassline, perfectly balanced doses of guitar and a hovering - or floating! - horn section interlaced with a rhythmically proficient cowbell and cymbal section.

Angolan-minded breakbeat rhythm, kalimba grooves and funk-based keys and guitar, Carnival Beat is a contagious track. An expertly cooked platter of hot and spicy flavours served in a dish of well mixed groove which will drive any listener to get down and grind away with a smile, in what is also a true homage by Mr. Bird to his well-earned Lisbon heritage - his habitat for the past 9 years.

One can only wonder where Matasuna's next flight might be headed as each release soars ever higher, towards certified dancefloor bliss.

Shame On Us is a live electronic-percussion trio from Tel-Aviv formed by Naduve, Yovav and Alek Lee. 'NAAM' is their first release and a great insight into their sound: rooted in a balearic spirit, highly percussive and with an hypnotic and uplifting quality. The 12" is rounded with remixes by Fantastic Man and John Talabot, who take the tracks to new dance floor and psychedelic heights. The artwork is an original painting by San Sebastian-Based artist Iker Spozio, with design by Alicia Carrera. This is a limited edition vinyl-only release.

When making an album there are usually way more than the number of songs allocated for the project. In this case there were over 50 songs and tracks created for the louie vega starring...xxviii album. Shimza, real name Ashley Raphala, is one of South Africa's brightest young talents. 'Ascendent", his 4 tracks debut E.P. on Cadenza reveals solid production skills and an innate instinct for peak-time bangers. The opening track, 'Congo Congo' is a dark ride over abysmal tom-tom drums, lively percussions and a gloomy bass lead, ignited dramatically by an ensemble of wide synthetic stabs and chords. In its 'Dub- Mix", the drums and the percussion become lighter without diminishing its dynamic tension. The overall weight of the leads and the stabs is reduced, leaving more space to its intense piano and string chords and swinging sub bass. 'Shimza - Secret Melodies' starts with an obscure bass line, but the intense twist of fractioned rolls and arpeggios bring an ascending piano progression that quickly blooms into an uplifting symphony. 'Selector' is a deeper cut that keeps the gaze on the dancefloor: the incessant hand clapping and a cloud of low frequencies bumps unexpectedly drag its hypnotic harmonies into a breath-taking drop.

After Basti Grub's great remixwork for our latest release from Anna Reusch we are even more happy to also welcome this exceptional artist on board of our family. With his countless releases for Deeperfect and Suara the German DJ/producer doesn't have anything to prove anymore. We are sure you'll find your favorite out of these 3 great tracks.

Higher Moment / Amnesia is the follow up to Paradise / In Love An Arc, AMOR's debut 12", which surfaced in May 2017. Culled from the same sessions at Chem 19 and The Green Door in Glasgow, these two tracks elevate the ecstatic, transcendent aesthetic Richard Youngs, Luke Fowler, Michael Francis Duch and Paul Thomson introduced with their previous release. AMOR is collectivism in the servitude to trance, a master class in ensemble playing, an avant-disco one-mind.

A journey to the rhythmic Afro-Caribbean roots of Colombia fuelled by the hypnotic power of African house beats" - Sounds and Colours.
Colombian Afro-Caribbean House band Ghetto Kumbé is back with another banging 5 tracks EP., produced with Uk based The Busy Twist.
Formed in 2015, Ghetto Kumbé is composed of three of the most skilful musicians from the popping modern Colombian scene, all of indigenous and African origins .
Multi-instrumentalist El Guajiro' also sings in the amazing salsa band La 33' and used to perform in Richard Blair's Sidestepper'.
Having worked with legendary Toto La Momposina or Quantic's Ondatrópica among many others, Chongo's percussions are truly part of the Colombian musical heritage.
Doctor Keyta', for his part, has dedicated his life to learning how to master the art of playing African percussions.
Soy Selva' transalted as I'm Jungle' is about the ancient people of Colombia, their traditions, their relations with mother nature, universal respect and ritual dancing.
However, there's much more about this EP than the ultimate innovative act from the emerging Colombian melting pot.
The featuring of Ghanaian singer Zongo Abongo on Dagbani Dance' takes the listener even deeper in Africa than the band's previous productions, and the involvement of young and talented, London native producer The Busy Twist put together three continents in this unique musical adventure.
Feel the gaitas, marimbas, and percussions of the Caribbean Coast of Colombia, the enchanting voices of Africa and the powerful electronic beats from the UK bass music scene.

Late last year Music For Dreams released the digital album "Debut" by Bongo Entp. This passion project from veteran studio session player Jacob Andersen brought us an unexpectedly fresh take on South American music traditions. 
On this new vinyl release, the project is both revisited and expanded upon. Cherry picking some of the grooviest cuts from the album for this EP, we also get remix treatments from well sourced collaborators Selvagem & Carrot Green. Both hailing from Brazil, these producers certainly know how to work Latin percussion on a dancefloor.
Taking on the dreamy cover version of Henri Mancini's classic "Lujón" (original included too), Carrot Green ups the tempo and wrangles the elements of the original into something completely different. Adding a house kick and dark acid undertones, he takes you on a wet trip with lots of twists and turns. 
The production duo of Selvagem manage something similar with one of the looser Bongo Entp. jams. The original "Foto Feita Do Aviaõ  is a jazzy scat sinaalong tune. In Selvagem's hands, it turns  into an epic cosmic disco groover, locked into place by a muscular baseline. The vocal chants of the original are here, but used in a lower key and more sparingly to punctuate the bounce of the rhythm. 
The vinyl includes two other album highlights - the Cafe del Mar classic "El Rey De Pollo" , a Santana-style chill-out affair featuring Mikkel Nordsø of Bombay Hotel fame and finally the moody "Spanish Winter" with its robotic reggae-like groove and syrup-thick synthesizers bubbling in a bittersweet fashion. A superb package.

"THE STORYTELLER" by RON TRENT'S GEMINI JAZZ is a tribute to JOHNNY HAMMOND "THE TONE" has hints of JACO PASTORIOUS. "THE PLACE INSIDE" is a beautiful piece with Latin Percussions & piano with a haunting Brazilian vocal. Support from LOUIE VEGA, VOLCOV, DANNY KRIVIT and FRANCOIS KEVORKIAN.

On Latino Body Music Vol II Sano continues to explore his musical heritage connecting the dots between tradition and news. For this record he picks up the 'Champeta' style that had its origin in the streets of Colombia. The mix of repetitive rhythm patterns and chants performed by local legends like Hernando Hernandez is an integral part of the huge soundsytem culture that takes place in the streets of Cartagena. By adding small hints to contemporary western club culture like a classic house piano, or an acid baseline Sano reinterprets the tracks for our dancefloors without loosing any of the original hypnotic flavour. Nick The Record is one of the UK's most respected record dealers as well as a highly gifted DJ that have worked the inner circles of the underground disco, afro, soul, funk and house scene since the early 90s.

For those who don't know he was 1/2 of Soul Ascendants that released some serious Fela inspired house on Nuphonic Records in the late 90's.
He's currently enjoying a well deserved hype due to his heavy compilations on Z Records and various remixes.
For his first release on GAMM he goes all disco with two big reworks that are sure to get the heads moving.

Lifeforce Theme is a tribute to the Japan collective where he's been a resident DJ for over 20 years.
Recordnition is a heavy percussion'n'philly disco burner that got that deep NYC disco feel all over it.
