As the Motech label moves into a new decade, DJ 3000 and friends - in this case, Dapayk Solo, Mr O and T. Linder - unite to present this varied EP featuring four exclusive and previously unreleased tracks.
Berlin's Niklas Worgt kicks things off with the deep and sexy 'Here I Am' under his Dapayk Solo pseudonym, which has seen him release on the likes of Mo's Ferry Prod, Karloff, Textone, Contexterrior and Trapez amongst others.
Mr O from Detroit Grand Pubahs has been weighing in with more solo releases in recent months like 'Mysterious Sights' (Deteledub) and the soon to be released 'I Just Want Normal' (Engineroom). Here he heads straight to the dancefloor for a serious techno workout on 'Stromboli Revisited'.
Motech's own king of the groove, Franki Juncaj revisits his DJ 3000 moniker for 'La Samba Albanez' where his various influences as a Detroiter with Eastern European ancestry combine together with a heavy dose of spicy Latin beats and samba keys for this party-starter.
Finally, fellow motor city native and Detroit Techno Militia co-founder, T. Linder gives us the jacking, looped-up 'Broken Border'. Having DJed for a number of years, it was only in 2007 that he released his first EP but he has since gone on to remix Detroit techno legends like Scan 7 and K. Hand.
With a second 'DJ 3000 & Friends' EP to follow featuring.... Motech continue to push its global collaborations, releasing music without boundaries or borders, for the world's dancefloors.

The vinyl opens up with a dark, edgy cut employing shuffling off-kilter drums, dubbed-
out vocal lines and an infectious, penetrating sub-bass that brilliantly wraps itself around
the weighty groove.

A2 Trabajo Giuseppe Cennamo Mix

Giuseppe never fails to deliver. His cut starts with dropped-tempo, organic, shuffling
percussion, building towards a hooky Rhodes melody that carries the track alongside
sampled vocal snippets. Be once again relies on the simplicity of maintaining a strong
groove throughout it's eight minute duration with subtle nuances adding hidden
textures.

B1 The Way I Feel
Herck creates an ethereal, melodic vibe here with bubbling earthy percussion, rolling
organ hits and ever evolving synth lines, running alongside crunchy distorted drums.

B2 Trabajo Pele & Shawnecy Mix
The dynamic duo steps up on remix duties next, edging the record into a shuffling house
state with raw, swung drums, a sub-driven, garage-tinged bass hook and dubbed-out
synth lines. Shawnecy heavily manipulates minute vocals with elongated rhyhmes and
adding a trippy hip hop edge, as expected this is serious peak-time business with dark
atmospherics.

Steve Nash is our next pick in our quest for discovering amazing new talents in the shark
infested waters from Germany. His last material on Natural Rhythm is still tearing up dance
floors in the world week by week, and here on we decided to release him on a well deserved
12''.

The first track on the 12'' , 'Dancing' , begins nicely enough with a cavalcade of
percussive delights. Soon enough he chunky kick drum moves into gear, alongside a cheeky
little baseline that rumbles beneath the surface. A sweeping synth enter the track, and leads it to
the breakdown where funky melodies build to the beautiful sweeping synth, that all unite with
the chunky baselines and driving beats
On the b side we see No Como which kicks into gear with some driving beats yet again
as well as a deep bouncy baseline. Very solid in the first half, the track also hits a curious
breakdown that is similar in style to the a-side, featuring a high pitched synth, as well as some
funky vibes, all while the hi hats are building furiously.

Re.You's remix has quite an enchanting feel throughout, with float effects and nice
dreamy feel to it, despite the fact that the beats are quite solid and the baseline quite chunky.
It's a very nice production with solid rolling beats, bass and a nice vocal that makes a great
track incredible.

Emanuel Satie has gained a high reputation for doing quality tracks . Working as intern
at Cocoon surely helped him learn the business. When you hear his remix u get that specific
summer anthem quality track which makes you dance on the side of the pool and after jump
inside because you are too heated by it. This is a real summer anthem, ready to be played out
in Ibiza and at all backyards that feature fresh air!

Die beiden Solinger Tube & Berger sind schon lange keine Unbekannten mehr in der internationalen Clubszene. Sozialisiert durch Punkrock wurden Arndt Roerig und Marko Vidovic schon wenig später von der in den 90er Jahren boomenden House & Techno Bewegung mitgerissen. Mittlerweile produzieren, remixen und DJen die beiden unter dem Pseudonym Tube & Berger bereits seit 8 Jahren. Angefangen hat alles mit einem Riesenhit: die Debütsingle "Straight Ahead" featuring CHRISSIE HYNDE von THE PRETENDERS kletterte bis auf Platz 1 der US Amerikanischen Billboard Dance Radio Charts und es folgten Booking und Remix Anfragen aus aller Welt. Um sich nach dem überwältigenden Starterfolg keiner Major Label-Diktatur unterwerfen zu müssen, gründeten Tube & Berger schon bald ihr eigenes Label Kittball Records. Wonderwheel Recordings is very proud to present a collaboration between the legendary Sammy Ayala (Rafael Cortijo y su Combo, Ismael Rivera), Nickodemus, the Candela Allstars (Puerto Rico) & the Whiskey Barons. Recorded right before the passing of the late, great Sammy - Nickodemus was recording ideas in the studio with the 77 year old Latin music legend after being inspired in Colombia to make a universal song inspired by Salsa & people it inspired in the dance. Sammy instantly gravitated towards the tune and wrote the lyrics before even hitting the studio. Horns and bass were recorded in Puerto Rico with the Candela Allstars (who were notably the players on Nickodemus and Quantic's "Mi Swing Es Tropical", which famously ran as an iPod advert on television), and the work in progress was passed on to the Whiskey Barons (who have notably done a series of remixes for Fania and have a brand new album coming out on Ubiquity Records this year), who stretched it out with a steady reggae influenced dancefloor stomper with Sammy's vocals "Baila la salsa, bail a tu manera" holding down the vibes throughout. Also included on the 7" is the instrumental.

After the huge success that was AK101 - the Ghetto, Suonho is back with two tracks to further the series, 74 & 77. This release has been a long time in the making, but Suonho is firmly back in his Ghetto vibe! Killer!!

Klasse Recordings hits the double numbers and debuts Florian Blauensteiners 'Hold On' EP to the world. The title track builds its strength around a catchy and heartfelt vocal phrase that resonates from deep within...An acid bassline works its way around a delicate and intricate groove, bouncing off trancey stabs.The result is an intimate and warm track that also works very well in the big rooms out there.

'62 Steps' is a straightforward dancefloor tool, hectic shuffling beats ride a rolling bassline up and down until they clash with a trumpet call that sounds like it has come straight out of a drunken South American fiesta. This is Klasse's festival anthem....play loud!

Polish native SLG turns 'Hold On' into a full body workout. Old school cowbell melodies sit aside equally retro rave stabs, melding the track into an altogether different type of monster. Showing off his production skills, SLG warps the melodies back and forth, cutting and skewing the vocal line to great effect.

Luca Lozano steps up and provides a bumpy and hypnotic version of the title track, using skippy hats and robust bass notes Lozano creates a steady groove that evolves around the filtered vocal line. The track aims itself squarely at the dancefloor, providing a no-frills groover for dancers and listeners alike.
