Another Purple Music Club Banger Allstar Edition....

Classic prides itself in being a family.
Generally a lot of the music we have put out over the years tends to gravitate towards us either through friends, friends of friend, or odd situations. When that music has found its way to us through friends and people that are already part of the Classic family, in this case via JT Donaldson, Derrick and myself always stand up and take notice even more as we know there is usually a story behind it.
As a result, we are proud to welcome No Dial Tone as new members to the oddball family made up of miscreants and weirdos that is Classic. A record I immediately fell in love with due to its quirky rhythms and repeating vocal, 'About You' is a record that seemed to have Classic written all over it.
We drafted in 2 new rising stars to give their interpretations - from the deep old school rhythms of Mic Newman, to the music led jazz tinged vibes of Tom Ellis.'

From humble beginnings Miguel Mantovani, Archerio Mantovani and Kengo San have built Los Hermanos Cubanos - The Cuban Brothers - into a legendary outfit that continuously sells out shows across the globe.

t is gonna be a huuge package out on FormResonance with this 'Burnin' release by Wareika: The original track, now timeless on vinyl, comes alongside with their own 'One on one mix', which tend towards summer breaks and festivals including their unique quality of flying melodies. Back into the club, Brendon Moeller spends his interpretation by focussing on his beloved dub techniques including an acid feeling on his stunning bassline. The vocals are perfectly balanced with his subtle shuffles and grooves - you definitely get one of his prerogatives here. Brendons second mix, his 'beat pharmacy flaming dub' catches on: more focussed and more clean he let the essence of the original come through. Their vision of electronic music can be heard in the Alex Flatner & LOPAZZ - Dinosaurs' remix. Wareika does include modern production techniques as fluent as the feeling for an organic approach. Their instruments do become a spokesman by creating odd rhythms flowing together...creating a new step.

Compton is the second release from Discovery Recordings, who throw the monthly Discovery party in NYC. The parties residents and guests blend the lines of house, disco, and techno—and the label puts the vibe of their underground party to wax.

The EP comes from Chicago's Olin and Co. Processing. "Compton" kicks it off with hypnotic vocals made ready for the dance floor by an infectious rolling bass-line and filtered keys. "Oslo" is built on dueling arps and spacey percussion that together cultivate a swirling deepness. On remix duty, Glasgow's OOFT! delivers a dance floor ready rework with rooted in a chugging 303 and classic stabs, while Berlin's Nils Penner lays down a piece of work perfect for dimly lit rooms. As with the first Discovery release, they're hand stamped, vinyl only, and limited pressing.

Legendary Dutch dance duo Chocolate Puma craft a two-disc mix spanning house, techno and everything in-between.
Gaston Steenkist and René ter Horst - aka Chocolate Puma - are two of Holland's most celebrated electronic producers. With a career spanning 20 years, 200-odd releases, two significant UK chart hits ('Give It Up' and 'I Wanna Be U') and countless remixes under their various guises they are a duo whose influence on the European dance music scene cannot be overstated.
Their latest project is an In The House mix for Defected, a compilation which represents the culmination of a life spent in and around house music. Including tracks from Chez Damier, Ben Westbeech, Claude von Stroke, Kraak & Smaak, Gregor Salto and many more, Chocolate Puma have remixed and re-edited almost every track, with an end result halfway between mix compilation and artist album.
