Dresden's cult label Uncanny Valley returns with the charming catalogue number six. Following up Jacob Korn's first Artist EP for the label it's C-Beams' turn now to continue the series of Artist EPs. Break SL's and Sandrow M's project can be referred to as a true label's child.

Diynamic's recent member from the Netherlands released his first whole EP on the Hamburg based label. His debut shows that his production skills have evolved enourmously in the last few months which justifies his constant appearance on Diynamic. The opener is a dreamy track which literally takes you by the hand and leads you through cold winter days. The huge power of its warm melody and the supporting vocals by Terry Shand embrace all kinds of music tastes. Also the dub version of 'Take My Hand' shows that Karmon's productions are nothing but pure beat and sound facility. With 'When Dark Becomes Night' Karmon creates a very connecting atmosphere between the name and the track itself. Its relaxed pianotunes and the short but very intense acoustical break unite wonderfully with the melodic basslines. The melody of that track gives you a typical Diynamic earworm, we all love so much. The second b side track 'Feel It' is a beautiful composition of both free heavenly melodies and wonderfully arranged synth & basslines, giving its listeners a feeling of total clarity and inner consciousness. - WE FEEL IT!

Little Boots releases her highly anticipated sophomore album, Nocturnes, on May 6th but before this comes a special edition vinyl only release on April 20th to coincide with and celebrate the 6th annual Record Store Day. Released through The Vinyl Factory and limited to 500 copies worldwide, Nocturnal Versions features extended edits of two tracks found on her forthcoming record, including one of Broken Record, the hypnotic, disco-indebted lead single.

Nocturnal Versions will be available to purchase on April 20th exclusively via participating Record Store Day retailers, a list of who can be found via the official Record Store Day website


Nocturnes, which was produced by DFA Records co-founder Tim Goldsworthy, and features other key contributions from Simian Mobile Disco's James Ford and Hercules and Love Affair's Andy Butler, further cements Little Boots as one of the most exciting artists creating music at the moment. It will be supported with a tour which takes Little Boots across the globe, see the dates below.

a/jus/ted is the musical concept of veteran producer Justin Strauss and analog aficionado Teddy Stuart, better known as Eddie Mars. The pairs inaugural release comes in the form of "A brighter light" featuring the incandescent vocals of Jeremy Glenn for London based Under the shade records.
Although a relatively new pairing the due kick off life with a masterful original which moves through its earlier stripped analogue subtleties into an effervescent marauder. The gleaming arp hooks and Glenn's spritely soulful vocal are gradually joined by whacked out acid tinged licks punctuated by a bright billowy bass throughout all the while being lifted from the rousing pads. All in all achieving a track that sounds at once classic, yet unmistakably modern, file under "end of night". A real accomplishment for such a new outfit.

Adhering to the current trend for all things Jersey circa 90's is the Lars Vegas (more commonly known as one half of Detroit Swindle) remix. Going straight for the jugular with tight stabs and punchy percussion its manifesto is set out clear to see from the outset. What makes this different from the run of garage productions currently swamping the scene is its tight pairing with the vocals. Rather than chopping into a garbled nonsense, Glenn's vocals are allowed free reign and are used in there entirety to provide the extra musicality to move Vegas' remix into a standout weapon. Make no mistake this will destroy a dancefloor.

Rounding up a/jus/ted show there versatility by remixing themselves, weighing in with a track brimming with ideas. Murky pads align with the tightly sequenced percussion that percolates from the outset. Pushed on by sonorus pads and a relentless deep grueling bass which provides a pivot for the track to advance into a deep, hypnotic ensemble lifted by clips of vocal, this time sounding much more jaded than on the original. This would certainly be a gem dropped in the most smoke and strobe dens of the world!
If this form can be kept up then a/jus/ted have a very bright future ahead of them. Grab it now!!

On the occasion of the sixth Record Store Day in April, Sonar Kollektiv releases for the first time a limited 300 copy special edition in celebration of the day, the vinyl and the record store. And it wouldn't be Sonar Kollektiv wouldn't we be treated with a very special goodie: The new shooting stars and new signings of the label, Paskal & Urban Absolutes took a classic out of the extensive repertoire of the label to task, 'That Night' by Jazzanova from 2001. As usual with a remix by Paskal & Urban Absolutes the vocals of the track are not short-changed after the revision. With a

Pro-Tez  records  compiled "The Knights Of the Sad Pattern - Part 2" ! A graceful sequel to the ravingly reviewed first part, this is a Double Vinyl Limited Edition of 300 presses which presents the label's extended family to include fellow house contemporaries like John Tejada, Anton Kubikov and Alex Danilov alongside with central members Korablove, B- Voice & Anrilov, Polar Lights, Joe Le Bon, Doyeq, among others and also newcomers Tornike & Nini and Harry Light. It's one of the those must have releases showcasing an individual, beautifully composed sound, combining feathery piano keys, now and then soulful vocals and minimalist sax parts, with deeply padded, classically-informed House music, and a touch of acid elegance and a refined subtlety.

Born with a natural love for music, he started his career when
13 years old hosting a music show at an Italian local radio station.
He presented his playlists in the most famous italian clubs. At
Eighteen he began working as a technician and a DJ for RTL
1
mixing studio and started the " R-Type " music project. The first
single "18Teen", produced by Dirty House Music, is a success
straight away: it was played by Ministry of Sound Radio, it kept
the top ten on Beatport for months, first position on
Trackitdown and Maurice Noah's remix was the choice as the
opening track on the famous Dj Marcel Woods' compilation.
The follow up "My Favourite Thing" kept the momentum posi-
tioning first on Trackitdown for months, 37th on Beatport and
inside the top 50 on Juno. The remix of the single "Another
Day" by Maurice Noah is produced by Re-Vox with great suc-
cess. With the money gained from sales and mixing in clubs he
bought more evolved synths for his studio (Moog Voyager,
Nord Lead 3, Arturia Origin, Access Virus TI,   Sid Station,
Roland TB303, Korg MS20, Korg Radias, Waldorf Blofeld,
etc.). The Yoky project has come alive. The first single "He's A
Boy" gained great success. It hits the Beatport top ten in the
Electro House hitlist and it has been played all around the
world from Tokyo to L.A. The new album "Electro In My House"
is produced in collaboration with musicians and the singer
Muna . The tracks were appreciated by Irma Records which
decided to publish the whole album . It's the beginning of new
collaborations with producer Ohm Guru and famous italian
DJs.

Last year Amirali burst onto the scene with the style defining debut album 'In Time', and several stand out singles for the label that discovered him, Crosstown Rebels.
Fast-forward to 2013 and the producer/musician/singer is evolving his sound with killer craftsmanship. Next release 'Melancholia' aims straight for the heart of the dancefloor with a pair of moving remixes from club weapon veteran Deetron.
The original mix of 'Melancholia' is pulsing with an epic, cosmic force, where an intoxicating combination of shuddering bass and moody, spooky disco grooves meets starry-eyed vocals and haunting minor keys. Providing further proof of Amirali's on-point and immaculate production, 'Melancholia' is also full of soul, emotion and dark elegance.
Deetron takes the reigns on the B-side, lending his distinctive warm and emotive style to his 'Main Mix'. Propelled forward with rising synths and a mounting tension, the Swiss wizard allows Amirali's refrain to take centre stage underpinning the melody with an intricate percussive groove that leads to a vocal breakdown and style-shifting bassline drop. Deetron also delivers a techno twist on the 'Club Instrumental Mix'.

Israeli born and Toronto raised, Amirali is now firmly based in London where his musical career was set in motion towards full on superstardom. Already winning over legions of fans with his blend of gothic vocals and moody emotive house, massive tracks from the album including 'My Way', 'Beautiful World' and 'Just An Illusion' were signs that a genuine, forward-thinking musical talent had arrived. Now incredibly in-demand as a DJ on the global circuit with a South American tour behind him this year already and a North American tour about to begin, somehow Amirali has found time to begin creating a second album and cultivate a bona-fide band featuring live drums, guitar, saxophone and the man himself on keys and vocals.
