Having gotten to know each other at various late night music sessions, the pair have increasingly honed their own house sound that's as suited to the dark confines of a club as it is the sunnier vibes of an outdoor terrace.

Quantize Recordings presents this united front of artist, producers, and remixers that have linked together to give the world a healing, an insight, and a voice to address the homeless crisis. The list of singers, musicians, and producers that are so extensively dedicated to this Barbara Tucker organized charitable project is unbelievable and heartwarming. Not content with releasing high quality house music via their main imprint, City Fly present a limited edition and beautifully packaged clear 10inch by 'UglyInk' - a collaboration between the equally talented Ugly Drums and Inkswel.

Cologne native Ugly Drums has an inimitable style that has seen him appear on a number of choice labels such as Rush Hour, Freerange and Fifty Fathoms Deep, plus his debut 'Saturn Memories' LP on the discernible Quintessentials imprint.

More recently he featured on Bartellow's 'Humming Birds' EP for City Fly, turning out an acid-infused interpretation of the title track, so it was only a matter of time before City Fly presented this production wunderkind back on wax again..

Inkswel has gained critical acclaim with his distinctive beat-tape boogie, featuring on labels such as the Firecraker Recordings' offshoot Unthank, Faces Records, Rush Hour's 'Dam jam subsidiary 'Boogie Bash - not to mention a forthcoming 12inch on Wolf Recordings. He has also collaborated with Chicago house hierarchy Merwyn Sanders (formerly of Virgo Four and Ace & The Sandman) and produced for electro boogie outfit Nite Class for their supreme synth odyssey 'Love Scenes' LP, both on Hot Shot Sounds. Having been on City Fly's radar for some time, they are now proud to introduce Inkswel to the burgeoning City Fly family and present this exclusive collaboration with Ugly Drums.

So on to the tracks and the EP kicks off with 'Watch Out!' that features the honeyed harmonies of regular Inkswel collaborator Charli James and is a welcome soulful summer sojourn with a spring in its step. With the remix, Inkswel's interpretation is a typically idiosyncratic affair, taking the track on a heavier drum workout laced with reverberating synths that is aimed more for the floor. On the flip and the 'UglyInk Theme' takes the listener on a deeper trajectory with its space-age synths, cosmic keys and husky male vox resulting in an otherworldly groove. Completing the EP is 'Fresh Out The Water' with its vintage drum machines and synth-soaked styling wouldn't sound out of place on a Dam Funk record.Though a departure from their usual releases, City Fly as ever continue to push the boundaries and showcase the many facets of house - watch out for more of their new limited series coming soon..

Aux-Rec is back for its fourth project, following the 'Baker Man' edit by Soul Clap (so good it became an official remix on Laid Back's label), first class remixes by Franco Cinelli and the 'Caught Up' bootleg by Le Loup & Funkalicious James aka Childhood '87.

Here Today is significant through their releases on Philpot, Suol, Claqueur and the legendary UK House Label Buzzin Fly Records. Engin Seyrl and Florian Schirmacher catch the key moment to release their debut album - Transitory Objects' with two exclusive music videos, a remix by Wareika colleage Jakob Seidensticker, and a Book, summing up the work of their joint venture with the Stuttgarter Performance Ensemble over the recent six years. While their tracks alternate into something momentary- fading, they clip the moment by playing live in coniunction with the audience. Producing at any moment, Here Today interacts between studio and live performance. The interplay and open process, could be related to the works of classical composer John Cage. Both providing an open space especially in their live show. The first more to listen and the latter even more to dance to. Crossing introduces a moody club athmosphere, drifting into a club hymn, including as strong as shimmering vocals. You can feel the UK House influence, which defined the - Good News' Release on Buzzin Fly. Cool House with unexitedly vocals... - Crossing all barriers....' glowing more and more and building up to a repetetive refrain... Like - Save' - a classic House Track featuring clap attacks, Engin`s Funk Guitar and House legend Ian Pooley, who has collaborated with the guys. The Track interplays with rough cutted drum sounds, a full to the brim Bassline and Ian`s Hi Hats. Working sums up their club skills into a hooking hit. Subtle Loops, pull the listener on the floor. Wispered or defined vocals, Florian does show a superbe quality and dynamic, but keeping it relaxed and - cool down' too. The mixture of drive and leisureness is a grown-up masterpiece and surely one of his best vocal tracks. The gem of the jam session is - Meadow Run'- a powerful techno track with their old school trademark sound. They recorded their drum machines on tape and reused them in the mix. Bumako Recordings presents the first single from Jenifa Mayanja's full length album 'Woman walking in the shadows'.The
original album track is a full on vocal, with a strong universal message of empowerment and solidarity. The remixes create
more layers with Jus-Ed weaving a moody bass and keys for a mystic dancefloor vibe and Kai Alce bringing the shadows out
to a straight out stomp your feet on the floor. Ms. Mayanja also lends the remix touch to her own track with a balance of light
and dark elements that keep you curious and wanting more.

Foot & Mouth's latest comes hot out the blocks with a superb take on 'See Line Woman' on the A side, toughened up with a heavy swing, crossing that jazz house nexus in perfect precision.
On the flip and 'Sunshine of Your Love' get's tastefully jacked for the floor by the mysterious Sir Bed & Sir Go. Finally the last lick is a slice of proper bootleg garage.. Bright as you like!

In 2011 when Mad Mats and Tooli went to Sonar Festival in Barcelona they met Ludovic Llorca aka Art Of Tones outside a club.
Little did they know back then that two years later on they would release a 12' together.

The Same Thing EP opens with the title track and kicks pretty damn sweet with it's strong vocal, the guitar, bass and rhodes jamming on top of a tight groove, there's also a dub version included on the b-side.
Last but not least, The Great Sgatmi is a jazzy and bumpy house take with lot's of samples perfectly balanced.

All in all, classic Art Of Tones material and the work of a producer firing on all cylinders.

Four years since they released Dring, Nôze are making a very welcome return to Circus Company with their fifth album Come With Us, and once again the pairing of Nicolas Sfintescu and Ezechiel Pailhes has yielded a collection of captivating and curious songs that could only come from the unique sound world they inhabit. As has been evident throughout their career from their early experimental house days through to the more recent song-based material for Get Physical, the Parisian duo have always moved on from album to album, maturing their sound to deliver a new experience for themselves and their listeners every time. On this occasion, Come With Us finds Nicolas and Ezechiel in a particularly introspective mood. Even as their work has naturally turned more to home-listening craft over the years, here they revel even more in personal reflection both musically and lyrically. Tracks such as 'Saint' conjure up the romanticism of dustbowl blues with its vagabond guitar tones (played by long time collaborator Thibault Frisoni), while Nicolas's voice reaches new distinctive heights in spellbinding tales like 'Apache". Emiliano Turi also lends a new sense of natural groove to the Nôze sound with his live drumming, and as ever, Nicolas and Ezechiel are keen to bring their friends into the fold for guest vocal spots.

Next in line on a very busy Autonomic schedule is a single from one of the hottest vocal talents around, Riya. Lacing the Autonomic sound with her voice was an obvious choice for the Autonomic camp and the results are two timeless tracks that have been picked up on by a huge cross section of DJs such as Skream, Youngsta,dBridge, Instra:mental and many more. A) Riya - Seems Like - Having become popular after featuring on the Fabric/dBridge and Instra:mental Autonomic CD, this track has rightly been given a home on the Autonomic imprint and has been eagerly awaited by many. Riya proves her songwriting talents once again and complemented with the backing track by a certain other Autonomic
artist, this one was never going to fail. AA) Riya - The Cycle - The AA side offers us a different angle from Riya, with a steadily building backing track her vocals loop in a hypnotic and enchanting cycle around Rhodes chords and a pumping heartbeatlike 4×4 bassline. Pure simplicity and an uncluttered soundscape gives this track the listen again qualities expected from Autonomic.

S.H.A and ChangED deliver their first EP on the new Sound & Echo imprint with two excellent slices of emotionally charged deep house plus a slower vocal track that is just nothing short of special, you've got to hear this record!

S.H.A have a special way of producing music, they make tracks in a 'one time only' manner using lots of analogue kit and vocals played live into the mixing desk and recorded onto old skool reel to reel tape. No computer, no editing with Pro-tools afterwards, this really is done in one hit. The purpose is to limit themselves for the sake of a full focus, the pressure is on once they hit record so they really give it all they got. The result is two tracks of proper deep vocal house of the highest quality featuring the haunting voice of Chi-towns own Shawtyshank aka Anderson Lee, cousin of Chez Damier,

On the B-side there is a huge slo-mo odessey from ChangED, aka Ed Eyers. This is a man who started his career as a studio session trumpet player in the late 50s playing with names like Aretha Franklin, Roy Ayers and Herbie Hancock amongst others. He then went on to DJ at the legendary Paradise Garage, alongside the likes of Larry Levan, became a leading figure in the early house scene and go on to marry Agneta Fältskog from ABBA, this guy's got some pedigree! The tune is a superb Balaeric epic that just gets better & better as the track progresses, definitely file under classic.

As if all that wasn't enough, the EP is rounded off perfectly with an instrumental of 'Who's to blame' a perfect mixing tool that will be spun for a long time to come, along with the rest of this fantastic release.

In 2013, Duke Dumont is the one to watch with his breakthrough single about to connect to audiences worldwide. 'Need U (100%)' features 18 year-old starlet A*M*E* on singing duties, fresh from being tipped in the BBC's Sound of 2013 poll. With a chunky low-end, funky stabs and silky vocals this is like an early 90's house classic couched in 2013 techno techniques. In 1988 Inner City would have been jealous of this one. Co-written by teenage wonder-kid MNEK (who recently sung on Rudimental's 'Spoons' with Syron), the Duke will release 'Need U (100%)' on his newly minted Blasé Boys Club label. Synthesising his influences from techno to UK garage and house he brought back goodies from this zen-like exile. In 2012 Duke released two EP's on Tiga's label Turbo Recordings which featured the tracks 'Street Walker', 'Thunderclap' and 'The Giver'. These EPs alerted the heads to the Duke movement and received support from the likes of Jamie Jones and Simian Mobile Disco. Remixes for AlunaGeorge, Haim and Santigold quickly followed which has made Duke the man to watch.

First release on a new label from Max Tundra featuring his first productions to surface publicly for over 7 years, fronted by manufactured millennial pop starlets Daphne & Celeste. Edition of 500 copies pressed on lacquer-cut yellow vinyl with optional pop-out centre* There's little doubt among anyone familiar with Max Tundra's oeuvre that his early 2000's releases for Domino kinda pre-empted the whole PC Music thing by a decade or so, all hi-sheen bubblegum pop rendered through obsolete digital technology, hooky as hell and just a little bit unsettling to boot. Having laid low since the release of 2008's 'Parallax Error Beheads You' he now resurfaces with a new label and a totally unexpected collab with Daphne & Celeste, whose ohrwurm pop irrevocably infected the western world between 1999-2000. As the label explain: 'some time ago Max Tundra tweeted D&C, asking if he could write and produce a comeback single for them. Celeste replied with a cheery "That sounds rad!" and they started emailing. Max (literally) dreamed of a spooky, slightly odd pop tune with two girls singing it. Quickly, upon waking up, he switched on his studio machines and recorded a demo version of the track. Then he wrote some lyrics and sent these over to Daphne and Celeste. They sang their hearts out across the Atlantic Ocean - and You And I Alone is the result.' Anyone with a functioning memory and a sweet pop tooth will really struggle to get this one out of their heads after just one play, but it's a million miles away from the chipmunk pop Daphne & Celeste were known for. By contrast, the vocals here are crisp and clear, propped up by one of Max Tundra's brilliantly weird and catchy productions, sort of somewhere between Sophie and Scritti Politti - if you can imagine such a miraculous thing.

Taken from his album L'Aventura, Sebastien Tellier is gearing up to release a remix EP for 'Aller Vers Le Soleil ' on December 10th, with contributions coming from Tom Furse (The Horrors) and Hercules & Love affair. After the success of the previous e.p. "drop the bomb/feel the Groove" the duo Mattei & Omich come back on Metropolitan with four hot tracks created specifically for the dancefloor! the title of the e.p. is Looper : 3 tracks have a very similar groovy sounds, because were born out of a single project and then adapted in different ways. "Della Soul" is on A1 with many samples of De La Soul, while on A2 is presented a follow-up of "Feel The Groove". Dancing with tears in your eyes on the remixes of 'Plastic Romance', one of the ace tracks off of 'What About The Magnetic Fields', Space Ranger's debut album on Lovemonk.

The German outfit returns with it fourth single on Lovemonk, the wonderful 'Plastic Romance' featuring the chilly vocals of Captn K, who can also be heard on previous single 'Nightmoves'. Bonar Bradberry throws some beef on the barbie and turns the slo-mo disco original into a ultra-funky dancefloor stormer, while the fabulous Rimshooters, a.k.a. Massimiliano Pagliara and Rotciv, speed it up and take it back to the eighties.

Motorcity Drum Ensemble shift into fifth gear as well and undress the tune while they're at it, leaving Captn K sounding even chillier. Groove Attack & Innervisions hero Marcus Worgull liked the MCDE remix so much, he decided to do his own edit of it. A fabulous package if ever there was one.

Background info:
Space Ranger come from the stars. The trio based in Stuttgart has a wide experience and an unlimited love for music. In their previous disguises, among which Dublex Inc, they have done remixes for the likes of Kool and The Gang, Sugababes or Kurtis Blow, but now they are absolutely focused on this project, brewing disco and house for today's dance floors from samples taken from their huge record collections. Knowledge is power and space is the place.

After three groundbreaking albums as Hercules & Love Affair, Andy Butler - the driving force behind the retro-futurist disco house kingpins - releases his debut solo EP on February 23rd.

The EP features two tracks and is released on mr.intl - Butler's own label. Leading with You Can Shine - hard-hitting techno-soul and showcasing the impassioned vocals of rising NYC star Richard Kennedy, it's backed with Personality Track, a whiplashing techy instrumental pounder.

You Can Shine follows an incredible year for Hercules & Love Affair. Their third album 'The Feast of the Broken Heart', was released to exceptional global critical acclaim and the collective embarked on an extensive worldwide tour. A tougher, more electronic body of work than its predecessors, 'The Feast Of The Broken Heart' hinted at the direction in which Andy's solo material was heading.

Pascal Blanché, Wojtek Kutschke and vocalist Lukas Polocze - better known as Chasing Kurt -originally released this track on their album of the same name. Now 'From The Inside' has been given the remix treatment by some of world's most respected house producers.

First up is legendary German artist Henrik Schwarz, who has a knack for making every one of his productions as exciting as the next. His rendition of 'From The Inside' is no anomaly as he demonstrates his sublime approach to music making by using analogue bass stabs and violin bowing before floating atmospheric synths emerge to take centre stage. Konstantin Sibold's mix is a completely different beast altogether, using denser kick drums and haunting claps as the bed for reverberating vocals and a bouncy hook.

Ruede Hagelstein and Watergate go hand in hand. Not only is Ruede one of the longest running residents at the club, but he's also the man behind some of the label's most acclaimed music and the curator responsible for lucky number 13 in the illustrious Watergate mix series. With this, it seemed obvious to put Ruede up to his next task: an album. It is with great anticipation and excitement that we bring you the first LP for both Ruede and Watergate Records, Apophenia. Apophenia is the experience of seeing patterns or connections in random or meaningless data, and for Ruede, this is the perfect interpretation to describe his writing process, in which ideas appear from the empty, chaotic darkness. A random chord progression or percussion arrangement opens the door to the imagination where structures appear and begin to take shape. Unlike most of his previous work, Apophenia is not strictly attached to the dance floor, but created to fit just as seamless while listening at home as it is in the club. For over a year, Ruede collected ideas and visualized his plan. It was important not to mimic his earlier work, but to focus on a certain sound. While staying minimalistic yet extremely organic and melodic he has created a timeless long player. While the LP spans a range of emotions, it is always grounded in Ruede's unparalleled, singular sound. Pair that with some notable features from artists like PillowTalk, Hollis P. Monroe & Overnite, Justin Evans and C.A.R. and you have a plethora of dazzling music.

Phantasy are proud to be releasing a limited edition remix single for Night Works, fronted by Gabriel Stebbings (ex-Metronomy). This double AA EP features Erol Alkan's fantastic extended rework of album highlight 'Long Forgotten Boy'. On the flip side is a remaster of Daniel Avery's remix of 'The Eveningtime'. The Night Works album 'Urban Heat' is out now on Loose Lips Records.

Miami based producer Danny Daze is breaking out with a bang, he is responsible for the biggest underground hit of Miami WMC 2011 with 'Your Everything', and it looks like it's shaping up to be the biggest record of the summer!

Recorded in spring 2014, "Heart" is the debut solo album by Gothenburg-born Joel Alter. During the process, he focused on finding the artist within himself and accepting the outcome as the value of his own footprint. But also for Uncanny Valley, releasing an album by an artist of whom we never released music before as singles or on compilations marks new ground. But since we know Joel for some time and are great admirers of his two albums he released together with Henrik Jonsson as Jonsson/Alter on Kontra-Musik this step felt very natural. "Broken Chord" opens up the album as an intimate, string-heavy House track and is succeeded by "22 Hours", a wonderful piece of slightly dark pop music featuring French singer Luvinsky Atche. With its melancholic and catchy vocal it brings you right into the album's narrational flow. Following up is "Everlasting" featuring longtime friend Christoffer Berg on piano and vocals. These two tracks mark the emotional backbone of the album. After that, "I Got It" turns out as a stumbling Disco affair while "Unsung Heroes" is a subtle track with its guitar sample from another era and mystical spoken words. "Out Of Bounds" is a driving House track that will cause a stir on open-minded dance floors when the trumpet by Stefan Sporsen finally enters. The same applies to "Mecca": After a seductive chord inferno that carries the track for several minutes, a cryptic synth line seem to come out of nowhere and marks a salvation. Finally, "Measures of Love" combines Joel playing cello and Christoffer Berg on Korg Mono Poly to a peaceful and beatless conclusion. This was recorded in a live-jam and is the result of pure inspiration. Joel has been carrying the idea of recording a solo album for some years now. Naturally, "Heart" combines various influences, not only musically but also from his personal life. When he proceeded further into the production process, he limited himself using the computer less and instead learning to trust his intuition, the flow of his fingers and to use his own voice as an instrument. This led to an album that is rather hard to pin down genre-wise but even easier to connect to emotionally when you listen to it from start to finish. The artwork is based on several oil paintings by Swedish artist Joakim Heidvall.

The Game is a typical futuristic dramatic italo/synthpop-song from 1983 that became a Belgian underground classic. Most famous is its instrumental mix, an impressive, ahead of the game pre-acid house anthem, later sampled by Moodymann on "Dem Young Sconies". Still relevant almost 30 years later.

the sophomore full-length from the Swiss duo Larytta, is a galvanizing synthesis of essential grooves and effervescent melodies. It took years to finish the record! Christian Pahud and Guy Meldem spent this time carefully calibrating their songwriting to achieve what could be called the golden mean, i.e. the perfect balance between a radio friendly sound and club functionality. The result is a collection of songs that are instantly accessible, yet wholly unpredictable. They feel familiar because they were crafted by seasoned musicians who, over the years, have mastered the science of fundamental swing and melody. The album is full of clever and tasteful references: Africa, the Middle East, the dusty Western 70s and 'the white lines' 80s, all shine through at different points of this sonic journey. The production is chunky, juicy, warm and analog. The lyrics are witty and even sometimes downright funny. The song titles testify to this fact: Osama Obama, Love Love Banana, Broken Leg Theory, Les Bambous - come on! Without a doubt, Jura is a beautifully idiosyncratic world, complete and stand-alone.

Just as the Surrealists congregated at Rue Blomet, or how CBGB became inextricably linked to the birth of punk, a flat in SE London across the street from a stall selling karelas, edoes and those frighteningly large snails, has become the epicentre of an exciting undercurrent of new and unorthodox British producers. From within the confines of their home studios, the inhabitants of --- Rye Lane have been crafting a sound that channels Jay Dee as much as the street bustle outside their bedroom windows, and are garnering support from Gilles Peterson, Lefto and Kutmah in the process.
New tracks from Reginald Omas Mamode IV, Sunshine and Moneymaker ,turn around dusty stabs of guitar and Madlib-esque beats. A homage to good weather and a cautionary tale for superficial woman, the tracks also feature his supine and natural one-take vocals. These songs are reprised with the help of brother Jeen Bassa and childhood friend Al Dobson Jr, fresh from releases on IZWID and Rhythm Section, with additional vocals added for good effect. It showcases the collaborative spirit of this collective, their shared influences and their deeply individual ticks.
