Barotti is a musician and contemporary multimedia artist based in Berlin. After years of working on urban sound installations, performing arts and experimental music, he is now releasing his debut album. A soundtrack for fantastic futuristic fairytales. Epic and symphonic - with a deep electronic base. Armed with iconic analog gear of the 1970s and 1980s, a hand-picked group of high level classical string and horn players and the whole imaginary world of his absurd fantasies, Barotti is opening up a new dimension in the vast field between contemporary classical and electronic music. Rising stands firmly with one foot in the same mud as Woodkid and Sohn, and the other foot dipping into the past 200 years of classical music, resting in a lukewarm cocktail of Funkstörung and James Blake. The album was recorded in Casablanca and Berlin. Co-written and co-produced with Swedish composer Anders Ehlin and German producer Valentin Sommer. Biographical details: Arriving in Berlin in 2007 after completing his music studies in drums at the Siena Jazz Academy, Barotti has pursued a wide variety of activities in the art world. He quickly joined forces with Plastique-Fantastique, producers of inflatable urban architecture. Together they started creating interactive sound sculptures. Their installations have been exhibited at Saatchi Gallery, Clerkenwell Design Week London and Design Week Milan. Their latest work Sound of Light (made for Urbane Künste Ruhr) won the Let's Colour Award. Their work also extends into pop: they have designed a stage machine for Peaches, now touring around the world. Barotti has also worked with Asphalt Piloten, an interdisciplinary group of artists transforming public spaces.

Maylee Todd is best known for her multi-disciplinary collaborations - whether with dancers, comedians, filmmakers, or her bandmates. After her 2013 breakout album Escapology, which featured contributions from dozens of musicians, Maylee stepped back into the studio alone, producing her own beats and uncovering new sonic territory.
Maylee is always experimenting with new possibilities in her art, incorporating her electronic experiments with her natural pop sensibilities. This 7" release is tasty morsel of what's to come in the new year.

Before his upcoming extended EP Christian Löffler returns with this seven inch sized record. Just like its unusual format this release features two unique pieces of music and an artwork created by Löffler himself. As on his Debut Album - A Forest', he teamed up once more with Danish vocalist Gry Bagøien. The result is an outstandingly beautiful house track born by her fairylike singing and gloomy chord stabs. A more than worthy follow-up of their first collaboration - Feelharmonia'.The other song on this Vinyl is a dark interpretation of Löffler's work. As a massive fan of Ki Record's unicum Monokle he was very happy to have him as a remixer of one of his yet unreleased tracks - Notes'. With his very own aesthetics he gives it a sinister touch. Monokle might be the most interesting remixer these days.
The original track 'Notes' will appear on the upcoming Christian Löffler EP.

Chicago house, deep house and techno meet on this vinyl only EP of Volksfreude & Ellen Sunde on Manual Music.
Including strong remixes by Rennie Foster & Adrian Barron.

After several remixes for Estroe, Mark Archer and Rennie Foster Volksfreude is back with this debut EP.
He teams up with Norwegian vocalist & producer Ellen Sunde, who is known for her electronica project Sea Change.

Title track Made of Skin relies on a steady Chicago house rhythm, with Ellen's soothing vocals and moody synths on top.
Adrian Barron's remix gives the track an even more clubbier feel.

B-side track Searching is an excellent deep house track where a deep bassline, synths, guitar and vocals form an interesting palette of sound.
For his remix, Canadian producer Rennie Foster strips the track down to it's bare essentials and constructs a building deep techno track out of it.

"Aus Liebe zur Leidenschaft EP",
is the result of the idea of two cousins to musically do something together.
The one DJ / producer, the other singer / songwriter, the passion: the music.
"Irgendwo Im Nirgendwo" and "Out Of Reality" are the result of this first-time collaboration and form the basis of this EP.
In addition, one of the solo pieces from the producer and former resident Audio Acrobat, who still has a lot to give.

Strip Steve returns with his second single - One Thing feat. Robert Owens', taken out from his ambitious Album - Micro Mega', released earlier this year on Boysnoize Records. This time he takes a deep dive into Chicago House with raw 808 and 909 percussion, warm impulsive bass and silky vocals by the one and only Robert Owens - - One Thing' sums it up to a peerless tribute to Strip Steve's love: Chicago House Music. Alongside the original album cut, futuristic-funk hero Jimmy Edgar and BNR label mate Djedjotronic contribute their versions of the single to complete the package. Edgar goes with his mid 90s electrified revisionism of House music and warping the whole business to a pioneering future sound - his matchless style enhances the dancefloor potential for sure. Meanwhile Djedjotronic borrows Strip Steve's bold kicks and colourful synths, letting them flow into an elegant halfstepped journey, which proves Djedjotronic's beautiful raised oldschool mentality. An instrumental version of - One Thing' is also in the pack to bring it straight to the dancefloors. Enjoy!

Cabin Fever is proud to present the second of two rather special 12's of Strictly Rhythm classics Re edited by Radio Slave. Officially licensed and to be released as part of a forthcoming double mix cd, the second of the 2 x 12's contains two bonafide classics from the Strictly vaults reworked for modern dancefloors.

After his Lana Del Rey remixes, Solomun has been at it again, this time tackling tracks by UK band Liu Bei, and they come out on Diynamic's sister label 2DIY4. Of course, this summer he will return to take up his throne at Pacha Ibiza with his own Solomun + 1 night, which will see the likes of Dixon, Sven Väth, Pachanga Boys, DJ Tennis and many more all play on Sunday nights. Before that though is this new EP, which features two very different remixes of the same track, 'Atlas World' by Liu Bei. The first is an Electronica version that will no doubt get plenty of daytime plays this summer. Patient and slow burning, it has sombre piano chords and blissfully, subtly uplifting synths all making for a magical and musical experience, especially once the Balearic vocals come in. The second is much more Tech House aligned and is a perfect cut for night time. Here the bass is much darker, the beats are more purposeful and there is a real sense of tension. It doesn't take much to imagine this one completely owning dance floors in the weeks and months ahead. This is another big release from Solomun that sets the tone for his busy summer ahead.

In Technicolor remixes features the considerable talents of Terranova, Zombies in Miami and Roosevelt.

Much has been said about FCL's remake of the E.S.P. classic from 1986 'It's You', up to the point where everybody was wondering what the boys would come up with next.
The answer is called 'Can We Try', a rollercoaster of a track that once again features the lovely Lady Linn on vocals, who is lifting the Red D penned lyrics to a seriously high level. With San Soda's gift for melody and the overall no rules approach of FCL put into the equation the result is something that is not your everyday house track. We feel that there's enough of that already, so we're happy to bring this new FCL to your ears and dance floors.

The original track comes as a one-sided release in our V.I.P. Series. A full E.P. with alternative versions and remixes will follow before the summer still. So stay tuned!

In its original incarnation, Shit Robot's 'Losing My Patience' - a choice cut from 2010's From the Cradle to the Rave — strikes a balance between iciness and warmth, with Hot Chip frontman Alexis Taylor's soulful vocals melting the track's frosty synthlines. Now, Hot Chip and Unabombers remix the track and redefine its feel.

20 years in showbiz DJ & producer ask:me (aka Melih Ask)´s musical direction forges a sound of real house music because everybody understand house music, as it´s a spiritual thing. He teamed up with Munich´s house giant, B.Vivant who has an obvious commitment and passion for house music since over 15 years. Together they present 'Satisfaction', a deep house vocal bomb, which presents nice sounds from african music tools. So maybe that´s the reason why the brillian south african vocalist, Lokka gave her nice voice for this summer feeling tune. The huge deep impact remix comes from the colognes most wanteds Bedrud & Giese.

In den Songs treffen die sprachverliebten Texte von Elenka auf die pluckernde und glitzernde Electronica von Feeling Valencia und Robot Koch. Herausgekommen ist dabei mit "Elenka" ein Album, die Natur und das Urbane, den Freigeist und den Feierdrang gekonnt miteinander vereint - und dieser krasse Kontrast kommt nicht von ungefähr.

The slick, modern vocal house of 'I Want You' is the first single taken from Huxley's debut LP 'Blurred' on Aus/!K7 and it drops, along with remixes from Youandewan and Huxley himself, on October 6th. 'Let it Go', 'Bellywedge' and 'Box Clever' cemented Huxley's singles reputation some time ago and its been furthered this year with the tonally and stylistically varied 'The Machine' EP released just a few months back on Aus. As the hype around the 'Blurred' LP builds, 'I Want You' is the perfect lead in. Although not without some trademark grunt in the bass department it's one of Huxley's deepest cuts to date, with layered melodies, rounded percussion and an incredible vocal combining beautifully. Huxley's powerful 'club rub' shifts the focus to the dance floor a little more but not at the expense of the original's musical or vocal content - with just a nip and tuck here and there he's created a weighty, yet respectful, club version. Fellow Aus artist and notable talent, Youandewan, takes things deeper with his remix - a blissed out exercise in smooth musical transitions and subtle dubbing techniques that form an engagingly delicate deep house cut. To close the release Huxley turns in 'Sphere'. Vintage Huxley, 'Sphere' is characterised by a strident rhythm track and piano licks but the devil is in the detail - re-pitched delay feedback, almost-there filtered vocals and crafty drum fills.

Chmara is an artist better known for the duet "Chmara Winter," which created a number of releases for Pets Recordings. Currently he is producing by himself and joining forces with Otake Records. ''Spring'' has its unique position in the catalog of young label from Warsaw. The vinyl is original, surprising, flourishing and simply beautiful. Some Herbert's or DJ Koze inspirations can be felt, however, a solid character of these tracks gives a clear understanding that Chmara has his unrepeatable unique style that can not be faked.

Lyrics, wonderful Chmara's timbre plus accompanying female vocals give an image of surreal order. It's a beautiful, harmonious hallucination caused by nothing but music. The record also contains two remixes from SLG and Piotr Bejnar - the owner of Otake Records.

AVotre, the label from Berlin soundwizard Santé releases Sidney Charles "Parental Advisory". A one sided Vinyl-only-release with the usual moving sound Sidney is famous for.

First, let me pay homage to Institubes and the codeine generation who discovered Red Bull in 2003. Para One, Teki and Tacteel were on the front line just like us making the French scene stronger and even more exciting after the first French Touch wave. In 2004 for the fourth release on Ed Banger we were looking for french artists who were killing it, pushing boudaries, those we wish we had signed. Three names : Para One, Feadz Jackson. Both Feadz and Para One accepted to remix Krazy Baldhead's first EP, this record is very special to me, we pressed 2000 copies. In the meantime, Para One produced the most ambitious french rap album ever, TTC ' Batard Sensible . You can't stop him! ' Beat Down ' and ' Clubhoppn are the new ' Trax on da rocks ' of a generation ready to stage dive, breakdance and rave! In 2006 I asked him to remix Daft Punk ' Prime time of your life , the same year he released his first album ' Epiphanie ... what a year! It's been 10 years now, Para One has been producing, remixing and always re-inventing his art. He has slowly become one the most experienced and talented artists in the game. It gives us great pleasure to announce the signing of Para One to Ed Banger records. A new chapter in his career, a new challenge for the label, 12 years of breaking boundaries in electronic music, pushing french producers all around the globe. Para One & the South African youth Choir ' Elevation ' is released by the end of this summer.

Presented are 4 previously unreleased cuts from the vault of Ben 'Cozmo D' Cenac, producer of Newcleus, Dream 2 Science, Push/Pull & Sha-Lor. Written in the late 80's / early 90's these tracks have been sitting on DAT tapes for over 20 years. The tracks themselves feature Ben's wife Yvette Cenac a/k/a Vai Cee from Dream 2 Science and Lady E of Newcleus, Gregg Fore a/k/a Buster Fhott from Dream 2 Science and Push/Pull, The Cellar Boyz a/k/a the original Jam-On DJs and finally Shareen Evans. A career musician, Ben's instrumentation and programming is timeless, its a sound that cannot be replicated. We are humbled to be working on a project such as this. Don't sleep, its a rare 12" vinyl weapon!!!

'Flying While Standing' marks the first outing on Holger tracks, a Brussels based label that sprung out of a refreshing party breed which has seen the city's bustling underground mesmerized for the last couple of years. It's only a natural evolution for the two notorious record lovers behind the label, to start releasing on their own imprint. With this first outing they aim at giving a peek at Belgian synth pop still being alive, not only in the many retro compilations or obscurity reissues, but here and now.


Enter Bright Entity. Consisting of Michiel Claus and Ciska Thomas, both classically trained musicians and active in different other projects, the duo share a history leading them to team up on this project, starting out in 2009. While Michiel is looking to fulfill his musical needs in the electronic realms, Ciska, as a vocalist, does so in more acoustic settings. This mini album turned out to be the culmination of their shared love for synth pop, combining influences as wide as Arthur Russel, the dubpop sound of Peaking Lights and Pas de Deux, of which family ties convey a more profound kinship. Last year Ciska even joined the ranks of the cult formation when they performed a one off reunion concert at Brussels' Ancienne Belgique.


Throughout this six tracker you'll hear these influences shine trough in their idiosyncratic blend of sun induced, lo-fi casio pop, much in the vein of French duo Deux, Anne Clark or even Les Disques Du Crépuscule's Antena. Rich in colors and dynamics, with an ever pleasant friction between the rougher drumcomputer sounds and the fluid, soothing synths. Ciska's husky voice and cloudy melodies conjure up nicely with the housey drumsounds and deranged details that fill up the mix after a couple of listens. In fact it's not as straightforward as you might think at first listen. By stroking the right chords and laying down sanguine lyrics, Ciska manages to pull you in fairly easily. It's only through repeated listening that you may find the compelling part Michiel is playing, apart from taking care of the rhythm section.


At times pacing, yet soothing and even a little narcotized, this is music for cruising, home listening and dancing, for making out and romancing.

dennoch muskulösen Techno - doch war es vor allem
das letzte Album THE PREDICTING MACHINE
(KOMPAKT 267 CD 102), welches JOHN TEJADA
zum Anlaß nahm, tiefer als jemals zuvor in die Höhle
des analog-modularen Löwen einzudringen. Das
zutage geförderte Ergebnis war eine gewisse Roheit,
die Johns komplexen Arrangements gut zu Gesicht
stand und eine neue Ära in seinem Schaffen
einläutete.

- co-produced by John Daly - - Debut Album by February & Mars Short info: Mojuba is celebrating its 10th birthday in a very special way by releasing the magnificent selftitled debut album by analouge rockers February & Mars. Hailing from the stunningly beautiful west of Ireland, the Galway group's sound is awash with its environment, ranging from the rolling limestone mountains to the wild Atlantic sea. Core members Carl Ramberg and Jack Considine use classic drum machines and vintage synthesisers to carve their music, which is inspired by Detroit, Eno, Guns 'n' Roses and interplanetary love! However, it's their use of more conventional techniques, vocal, guitars, piano etc that give February & Mars their dreamy signature sound, which is forming a hybrid of electronic music, psychedelic rock, indie pop and cosmic disco with an upbringing fostered by house and techno club nights! This unique studio debut album involves no other than John Daly in the co-production role, who also released the group's 3-song debut EP on his own imprint Feel Music. As with every other release on Mojuba, we are confident that great quality music will always find a place in the heart of the open-minded listener & dancer!
