Debut longplay release from heralded Irish producer Mano Le Tough
who is one of this year's international DJ shooting stars according
to Resident Advisor's top 100 list.

VISUALS will debut on thesongsays with his beautifully well-rounded novella of an EP, The State Of Things. The label has long focused on the romantic and conceptual currents of dance music and VISUALS joins the tight-knit roster with three stunning songs that perfectly fit the thesongsays ethos while bringing together the diverse elements of his musical background. The Brooklyn-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist - whose work debuted on Nicolas Jaar's Other People imprint - excels not only through his distinctive vocal style and melodic richness, but also through the acute subtlety of his lyrical content. The record's A-side is a case in point: pure tropical melancholia that finds VISUALS lyrically sifting through the modern contradictions of everyday life over lambent pads and off-kilter percussion: I couldn't tell hell from paradise / I'm so caught up in the state of things.' While the vocals recall the realm of indie, the quirky textures and post-production (courtesy of DARKSIDE member Dave Harrington) gesture toward the electronic. On the flip, the buoyant bass line of 'Days Of Our Youth' anticipates an infectious chorus that feels perfectly anthemic for spring and summer: Days of our youth on fire / Burning in your eyes.' It's an expertly crafted and arranged piece of music that lends itself to adventurous DJs wanting to give the room something counterintuitive and unusual. Completing the release is 'No Handle'-pensive, deep, and hypnotic for the noir corners of early morning dance floors.

Italian producer Simone Fedi, hailing from Tuscany, takes things to a whole new level on this third release on Eskimo Recordings. 'Bitter Devotion' is a vocal pop gem with a Balearic tinge, but its bittersweet vocals and the addictive melody will haunt you. For this tune Fedi, a multi-instrumentalist with a knack for pop music and a soft spot for vintage gear, joined forces with a mysterious singer named Lola Rent, and this turns out to be a winning team.

Is it Possible... We have returned to one of our favorite vocal projects from the label that was released earlier this year from Steal Vybe and the timeless vocals of Alexis Simmons.

Two years after his stunning debut "Here Today Gone Tomorrow", Fritz Kalkbrenner takes the next huge step in his career with his second album "Sick Travellin". Coming hot on the heels of his "Suol Mates" compilation in March, a mixtape infused with an eclectic variety of genres - from soul to funk, from hip hop to house, Fritz now takes all these influences and ideas, fusing them together to a sound that is ever so powerful and distinctively his own.
The thirteen tracks on the new LP, produced in the only recently finished Suol-Studios in Berlin Kreuzberg, have a more organic, mature sound than those on the debut. More vocals, more live instruments like Rhodes, Bass and Guitar, recorded by some of the best studio musicians around, and Fritz's trademark grainy, "breathing" samples. Basically, a whole lot of Suol! Pardon me: Soul.
"Sick Travellin" playfully guides the listener from bittersweet melancholy and classical songwriting to loose, dreamy dancefloor moments. Vocal tracks like "Get A Life", "Little By Little", "No Peace Of Mind" and last but definitely not least, his cover version of Gil Scott-Heron's "Willing" (recorded in the same session as Fritz's Bill Withers cover "Ruby Lee" for the Suol Mates compilation) once again showcase Fritz Kalkbrenner's extraordinary talent as a vocalist and his incredible gift for embedding pop songs into beautifully crafted house music frames.
But that's not all: the albums more forward tunes like "Square Heart", "Monte Rosa" or the club anthem "Hummin' Hills" will trigger waves of euphoria on the dancefloors all around the globe.
The limited deluxe edition of the CD album comes with a bonus track and 6 page digipac. Both CD versions include a 12 page poster booklet. The double vinyl is beautifully packaged in a 4 page gatefold sleeve.

The originals "Excuse Me", Keep Going"and First Kiss', taking inspiration from ... They sounds fresh and housie, got a shaky beat accompanied with sexy male vocals. The remix "First Kiss" done by Jumaira, is the little hard version with an impressive groove, kittenish but tight.

Myles is back with the 5th installment in the (MS) series, this time on a more house vibe with "Can't Shake This Feelin'". Myles teamed up with Philadelphia soul-man and "Mega Jawns" vocalist Will Brock to deliver this soulful (MS) groove. And for added support the legendary Rennie Foster delivers a beautiful remix.

Danse Club label bosses Scott & Austen Smart AKA Brodanse unleash their second release on the label, the 'The Ride'' featuring vocals from Cari Golden. The release kicks off with the Original version of 'Nobody Walks', a tough and grooving slice of vocal house that employs a simple bass and piano chord groove to provide the soundbed for Cari Golden's distinctive vocals. Next up is the vinyl only Dub version of Nobody Walks, a slight re-arrangement and sparse delayed vocals snippets make a version more for the heads.Turning the record over will show you a darker side to the Brodanse signature groove. The B1, In The House is a solid rolling tech house banger, this track is definitely a tool for a club floor wanting to push the envelope. The B2, Reactivate is a dark, rolling DBX/Radio Slave inspired take on tech house, using filtered chords, deep sine bass, 909 rides and eery vocals.

The new year reveals a couple of surprises on Stil vor Talent. Among others, we are venturing into the stormy waters of indie-pop with SVT096 'Keine Sterne' by NÖRD, the label's next extraordinary band project. NÖRD are the brothers Paul and Leo Eisenach, who realise their unique musical ideas with drummer Matthias Wendl and the Israel-born keyboarder and sound tinkerer Oded 'KD' Kadar here in Berlin. They love the Beatles, the energy of The Police, The Eels' eccentricity, the linguistic rollercoaster ride that good Hip Hop can be, football and electronic music. Together they sound like hyperactive pop, full of energetic guitars, weird and wonderful synths, big melodies and clever wordplays, which 'Keine Sterne' and 'Ich Breche Zusammen' prove instantly. Oliver Koletzki injects the original mix of 'Keine Sterne' with a dose of electro-pop on his Radio Edit, but also caters for the DJs with his longer, non-vocal Remix, while Sascha Braemer & Dan Caster round off the EP in style with their after hour-centric interpretation.

In 2016, the new Breakbot version 'one plus one' (Breakbot + Irfane) will release a second album, Still Waters, a new assortment of southern sunrays, with swinging images of dancefloors filled with guys in flowing trousers and bare-shouldered young girls. For this occasion, Breakbot and Irfane followed a well-oiled formula. They each cook-up outlines of rhythms and melodies that the two boys then modify, complete and prolong to reach a final draft. For Still Waters, which also contains 13 tracks, Breakbot have nonetheless tried out a few new moves: unlike the previous album, this one is more of a matrix with intricate workmanship, carved out with the help of old analogue machines rather than softwares. Some of these tracks were also happy accidents from improvisation sessions, ricochets of voices and chords born of old-school jamming sessions. Thirteen bouncy acts with Stevie Wonder and the Motown crowd in the background, spouts of funk and disco on a well-trodden dancefloor. Crafty ideas whipped-up in a vintage outfit with techno vibes and futuristic accelerations creating a perfectly current soundtrack. Tomorrow's retro. With Still Waters, Breakbot introduces its new head along with a new uniform. Kruse knows these days and moments. Her personal collection of memories as a DJ, musician and producer
continues to give her the ideas, strength and dedication which music always demands. At the start of the nineties,
Monika´s DJ life began with her as a resident at the Ultraschall Club in Munich. During the next years she
published seven mix compilations and set up the record labels Terminal M and Electric Avenue.
