Airaboi is Aitor Rabell's solo project and an alias that has allowed this Valencia born electronic musician

and producer -now residing in Berlin- to record a diary of emotive sounds since 2014. After his brilliant debut EP Endless Field', released on his own label Banned In Vegas in 2016, Airaboi returns with "Dream In Motion". This extended EP was written and produced between Barcelona, Valencia and Berlin and reflects the range of emotions he experienced in uncertain times, when making difficult decisions about his future. Tracks like "Nocturnal Animals" and "We'll Stay Here Forever" demonstrate how leftfield, dream house and experimental electronica can live in unison, incorporating a sentimental and nostalgic sound. The EP's final track Dream In Motion' was created during the time Rabell was relocating to Berlin to begin a new adventure. It provides a rollercoaster of raw feelings, combining perfectly with wistful undertones and all the innocence and joy of a child in a theme park.

The excellent Field label embarks on a new mini trilogy of EPs that will "present a magical journey through modern-day trance." First up in the series is Artefakt with their three track effort The Final Theory. Dutch producers Robin Koek and Nick Lapien make up Artefakt, and between them they excel at moody voodoo music on labels like Delsin. They open this latest EP with the title track, a deep, spacious house roller with subtle pads and gentle acid that perform slow motion acrobatics for nearly ten minutes. It is suspensory, dreamy music that works on the head as well as the heel. Moving Horizon is then less doleful and introspective but just as deep, with sweeping pads add a sense of scale, busy drums bring the dynamism and icy percussive sounds adding a sense of urgency. Last but not least, Solaris is a fatter, more physical groove with claps and gloopy bass, acid flashes and trancey pads all fleshing out a lush and deep electro workout. This is heavenly stuff that cannot fail to get inside your head and heart.

We haven't really went in for remixes much before with the label, as we feel strongly about the power of the original. In the right hands, a great remix can be equally as powerful though and Lena has succeeded in bringing her own weird and wonderful sounds to a track from each preceding chapter - rRoxymore from Chapter 1 and Oslo Gabon from Chapter 2 - whilst still keeping true to the original work.

After the long awaited and acclaimed return of the notorious Manie Sans De´lire on June Records, one-half of the group, Trenton Chase, returns on the label with a bold solo LP marking his departure from the sound of his previous releases on the imprint.

For his first album attempt, Trenton embarks on the search for everything and manages to encapsulate the whole essence of the June Records ethos within 43 minutes of music.
Although initially not planned as an album, Deadlock was conceived organically as it only took a few months for its completion during the artist's most abundant 2017 studio spring sessions.

This body of work transcends formulaic attempts to showcase a very refreshing and uncompromising take on synth music. Chase followed a crude approach to songwriting, rehearsing and improvising live until the best take would eventually become the final track. Artwork by Florent Mazzocchetti.

Jesse Pimenta is a Brazilian-born, LA-grown artist who has previously released on Nous Disques as well as on his own Private Selection imprint. Side A brings two slamming cuts fit for all-out dance floor annihilation whilst Side B delves into more psychotropic yet punkish zones.

Artificial Dance is a new record label from Amsterdam. This is the imprint's debut release. It is the first ever release from young Dutch DJ/producer Job Sifre, previously best known for his fortnightly Antikunst show on esteemed Amsterdam institution Red Light Radio.
Worries offers an extended glimpse at Sifre's unique musical vision. It is one that draws heavily on vintage electronic music for inspiration, but also feels fresh and futurist in tone. In turns dark, industrial, hypnotic and mind-altering, the six-track EP bristles with impactful moments of magic.

Check, for example, the gnarled, Mascara-clad intoxication of Element', where fuzz-laden, end-of-days guitars, snaking Middle Eastern style melodies and gruff vocals wrap themselves around cranky drum machine beats. It's like classic European industrial music re-imagined for the 21st century. Then there's Flotter', whose throbbing arpeggio bassline, lo-fi machine drums and foreboding synthesizer melodies combine to create a chilling but muscular mood.

Sifre's love of electronic body music can be heard within the bustling, all-action bassline, fizzing electronics, razor-sharp guitar riffs and matter-or-fact vocals of Worries'. Our young hero continues in a similar vein on pulsating dancefloor bubbler Intex Excursions', which sounds a little like forgotten heroes of 1980s industrial funk dancing all night with modern Dutch electro maestros.

The twisted, distorted nature of Sifre's far-sighted approach is given further weight via A Dime 4ur Decline', an apocalyptic stroll through skittish machine drums, panicked electronics, modular style bleeps and haunting strings.

A sterling debut outing is completed by the EP's mind-altering moment: Planet Stoner'. As clattering percussion hits and clandestine bass whisk us towards an unknown destination, undulating electronic motifs, spiraling synthesizer lines and drifting Arabic flute samples join forces to ratchet up the intensity. By the time the track reaches its breathless conclusion, you'll be in no doubt about Sifre's production credentials.

MR. STATIK With previous contributions from Joe Claussell, Move D, Mr. Ties, Reagenz, Discrete Circuit and their very own AWAY Soundsystem, the Berlin label AWAY achieved a great deal of attention since its first release back in 2015. After having played at their infamous party series before, the Greek all-rounder Mr. Statik now also debuts as a producer on AWAY. As emphasized with releases on such labels as BPitch Control, Amam, or Rotary Cocktail, the resident of Athen's club Six D.O.G.S draws inspiration from pop culture like science-fiction movies as well as comic books, also reflected in his 'Rogue Cherub EP". INFO ROGUE CHERUB EP It's an open secret that Mr. Statik has a strong penchant for working with vocalists, and the title track is no different. Starting off with an ingenious medley assembled through samples, rhythmic elements, and a funk-infused bass-line, 'Rogue Cherub EP' highlights the Greek's unordinary approach on house music. Despite the partly broken, partly playful vibe it's Dave Aju's distinctive voice holding everything together in a serene fashion. No less than the acknowledged master Matthew Herbert himself scales the hybrid down, attaching just the right disco-house touches to create yet another dance floor gem. 'Morning Star' on the flipside tops off AWAY's fifth catalogue number by a well-crafted techno-meets-dub workout unfolding Mr. Statik's versatile core strengths as a producer.

Contemporary producer E. Myers has self released four limited edition white label 12's since 2015, whilst managing to remain low profile. Whoever they are, we guess they're huge fans of late 1980s Chicago House, Shep Pettibone, Colourbox and most of our reissues. So much that they asked us to re-release their second 12' 'Hate / Love' from 2016 backed with new remix of Hate' made for DarkEntries. Love' kicks off the A-side beats out a wood-cut tattoo of tuff drums rubbed with balloon-squeak synths to sound like Gesloten Cirkel meets Helena Hauff,' said Boomkat. Hate' is a dreamy house number that ultilzes a Roland TR-707 drum machine with a rounded bassline, horns and strings that lift it into the stratosphere. For the new remix of Hate' Myers subtly shifts the pace and deepens the groove, stretching out the song to over 7 minutes of dubbed out New Beat phantasia. All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The 12' is housed in a die cut disco jacket that features an original design by Eloise Leigh.

The underhanded rumblings of Tronitum Domini' introduces before filth encrusted bass blurs the menacing visage of Mjolnir', claps scarring the already grimacing sounds. To end the first side, the medieval blast of ASI Kingdom (Mitt Hjerte)' is track that surely won´t pass unnoticed. Skies crack with thunder by analogue alchemist Drvg Cvltvre on this interesting remix of Fenrir Eye' which original version ends the release with Blackened clouds build for the intense and tapering approach.

For the 9th instalment in DBA's Dubs series Ikonika and Big Strick square off head to head, following the Hyperdub artist's genre-defying Distractions LP earlier this year. Oral Suspension is an instrumental which switches rough-shod between a UK halfstep crunch and a Hoop Dreams era Chicago bounce. On the flip Big Strick brings his characteristic smooth groove to the table for the remix, which, though laidback, is nevertheless bound to energise the dancers.

Evading the ubiquitous pigeonholes, Ikonika has variously been known for her dubstep innovations, her uk funky experiments on Hum and Buzz and her post-urban sketches for Hyperdub. Meanwhile though an interest in techno and specifically the sounds of the Midwest have underpinned her work.

Strut present a new reissue of Walter Gibbons' 'Jungle Music' compilation LP, the definitive collection of Gibbons' groundbreaking remixes during the heyday of New York's disco era.Starting out as a DJ and known for his skilful manipulation of percussive disco breaks at his Galaxy 21 residency in Manhattan, Gibbons brought this ethic to his remixes from the start with his first outing for Salsoul, a re-work of Double Exposure's 'Ten Percent' which completely disassembled the track for the dancefloor. He developed a knack for drawing the rhythmic essence out of both the brilliant and the mediocre as tracks like Jakki's 'Sun... Sun... Sun' were transformed into unique abstract dancefloor beat edits.The tracks spawned a series of groundbreaking remixes, with many versions only appearing on acetate for his own personal use as a DJ including Gladys Knight's 'It's A Better Than Good Time'. He continued to work with Salsoul (Loleatta Holloway) and West End Records (Bettye Lavette) before branching out to include more leftfield material in his work - collaborations with Loose Joints' Steve D'Acquisto (Sandy Mercer), Steve Standard (Strafe) and Arthur Russell would all follow, a natural fit for Gibbons' uncompromising remix style.

After a short time based in Seattle during the late '70s, where he played at the Sanctuary nightclub, he returned to New York and, in his later years, he discovered God and refused to play records with a negative message. Tragically, he died of an AIDS related illness during the '90s, a largely forgotten figure.

Now revered as a true pioneer of the art of the remix, Gibbons' key releases are brought together on this essential celebration. Package includes sleeve notes by Tim Lawrence, author of the acclaimed 'Love Saves The Day', along with rare photos from across Gibbons' career as a DJ and producer.

The Dekmantel Selectors compilation series is set to continue with a highly anticipated edition curated by Joy Orbison. First announced in 2015 when the Selectors project was unveiled, the fourth compilation in the series finds the singular UK talent curating a sort of tribute to his home country and its rich musical history.

Like many of us, Joy Orbison (a.k.a. Peter O'Grady) is a product of his environment. Based in London, he's keenly aware of the UK's unique musical landscape and the role it's played in shaping his own artistic vision. Growing up, the sounds of garage, jungle and dubstep all made an impression on him, but O'Grady knows that the roots of this music go back much further. "Soundsystem culture is a thread that runs through almost everything here," he says. "It's had a huge effect on me, sometimes without me even knowing it."

In keeping with previous Selectors compilations, O'Grady's contribution to the series is not a mix CD, but a collection of hand-picked tracks from his own archives. Touching on everything from shuffling garage and loopy techno to booming jungle and a number of distinctly British hybrids, it's a diverse collection to be sure, but O'Grady prefers to focus on what ties these tracks together. "We're a lot more focused on BPM and genre these days," he says, "but I can honestly say that didn't really cross my mind while I was compiling this. In my mind, all these tracks have a lot in common."

"What I do is a direct result of this music and I'm indebted to the sociological factors that brought it to life," explains O'Grady. "The UK at its best is a celebration of diverse cultures intertwining and creating beautiful results. Hopefully this collection of music can document a piece of that. Now more than ever, it seems important to acknowledge and celebrate this."
