This is the second 12" of a 2-part series of 12"s that will be released digitally as a full-length LP.
After a split single with Muslimgauze and a single of their own on Optimo Trax, we are delighted to present the first Optimo Trax album release by Italy's Underspreche. The album is split across two four- track EPs, released two weeks apart (and also as a complete digital album).
We try to avoid over-hyping our releases, but this one is really fully deserving of the hyperbole I am about to bestow on it. Underspreche first sent me some music a few years ago and seeing them grow and develop has been nothing short of astonishing. I think this is some of the most nuanced and advanced music that Optimo Trax has ever released. There are several dancefloor destroyers here but also music for more developed/leading-edge floors too, as well as some music simply designed to make one's mind melt.

It is very rare that I listen to 4/4 music at home, but this album has been a constant on my hi-fi since it was sent to me.
Super-advanced, organic sampling, inspired vocalisations, acute psychedelic modular sequences, forward- thinking drum programming, this is exactly what I hoped Optimo Trax would be about when I started the label.

Previous lauded releases on Italians Do It Better, Bear Funk and Eskimo. The single YAML was released as a 12' in May 2017 and the video premiered by music, fashion and culture mag Blackbook. DJ-producer- sound designer Bottin actually calls La Serenissima home - though he has actually been one of Europe's most hard-working and traveled DJs. Back home he has remixed many top Italian pop artists, and also worked with Benetton's Fabrica.' On his new album, I Have What I Gave, out October 6th on 2MR, Retrogroove, and TIN, Italian musician Bottin outdoes himself. He crafts propulsive, disco-laden scores for films not yet made, and introspective, mind-expanding cuts designed to ensure that people who want to dance never get caught up in conventional experiences. Each moment with Bottin is a memorable one. One thing that sets I Have What I Gave apart from his pioneering Horror Disco and much-loved Punica Fides LPs is that this time around Bottin didn't see to it to create a concept-album structure. Everything came at once during the writing and recording process, which no doubt gives the album its intensity and sense of immediacy. But even if the album didn't come about in a series of tightly crafted experiments, it doesn't sound messy or chaotic. It's just the opposite. Bottin has managed to take bits and pieces of sounds, some short loops and orphaned arpeggios, and a handful of vocal samples, and put them t ogether into an album that unifies 10 songs of divergent trajectories into an outstanding body of work that absolutely kills. Ihre Kindheit verbrachte sie in Südafrika, wo sie von der traditionellen Musik der Dorfnachbarschaft sowie den Klängen der Natur geprägt wurde. Aus dieser Zeit stammt ihre Vorliebe für Flora und Fauna und eine gesunde Skepsis gegenüber der technischen Welt. Als sie mit 16 Jahren nach Großbritannien zog, war sie konfrontiert mit einer modernen Welt voller ihr unbekannter und flüchtiger Eindrücke. Gespickt mit Erinnerungen aus ihrer südafrikanischen Kindheit, verwendet sie ihre Musik heute als ein Kontrast- und Kommunikationsmittel mit dieser neuen Umgebung. Die Musik ist ihre Art, die menschlichen Wiedersprüchlichkeiten zu erkunden, die sie auf ihren Reisen durch Europa kennenlernte. Heute lebt Romy im ländlichen Nord Wales.

Aga Wilk (aka 77™) is back with this new EP. A-side includes three songs full of analog synths, cold bass lines and vocoder vocals. B-side is reserved for some remixes. First by Flemming Dalum, a DJ and producer based in Denmark and devoted to Italo Disco. Second one by David Carreta, famous french DJ and producer. And the last one by Fotoplastikon, a cult underground project from Poland.

The EP includes album tracks 'Get Your Fight On' (Re Eq) and 'Rhythm Bomb' feat. Flux Pavilion (Edit), two fresh remixes of album tracks 'The Day Is My Enemy' (Caspa) and 'Rebel Radio' (René LaVice) and the previously un-released, fan favourite 'AWOL'.

'AWOL' has been a track the band have played live since 2012 but as the album writing and recording process developed the band decided to hold AWOL back . Now, after reworking it into a new unheard version they feel it's time to make it available on record........ and limited cassette!

The EP will be available on Limited Edition Clear 12" Vinyl (released 4th September), CD and cassette - all featuring the 5 tracks.

The Prodigy recently headlined Isle of Wight Festival, they Headline the Radio 1 stage at T In The Park in July and recently announced a huge tour of UK arenas arenas to close their incredible 2015 which includes two shows at London's Wembley Arena.

combination of their forces brings forward some really top notch tunes.

creating a good climate for the dancefloor.

Lake People, the man with a knack for aural subtleties, is spot-on with his first EP for Uncanny Valley. Over the course of four tracks he showcases a quiet different approach compared to the sophisticated House music the Leipzig based artist released on labels like Permanent Vacation or Connaisseur Recordings. On "Break the Pattern" he relies heavily on the good old Boom Tschak-paradigm of Electro, without completely giving up his trademark sound. "Level Msk" combines staccato-type chords with a stuttering beat that stick in your mind. The acidic "September Futuristic" with its stoic drumming has almost a Krautrock feel to it. On the flipside, the playful "Chords In Chorus" feels like an early contender for this year's summer anthem with chords and acid lines from heaven. The EP closes with "Pull Off", a perfect example for Lake People's ability to compose tracks with an emotional depth.

B1 Ludwig Zibell - Herkulesberg
Ludwig Zibell's track sets a landmark for a very special place in Köln:
the Herkulesberg, a so called "Trümmerberg" of post-war debris in the
center of the city. This special scenery gave the inspiration for his
slowly progressing piece of intense deep techno art.

B2 Diom - Switcheroo
"Switcheroo" by Diom celebrates reduction. Hypnotic chimes and subtle
changes echo the compositions of musicians like Steve Reich and other
representatives of the minimal music scene.

On this new EP, DJJ's trademark jagged take on filtered French house is still present, but with Chicago bump, techno and more random elements thrown in for good measure.I Keep Trying To Convince Myself is the tougher, more rugged and even funkier cousin to DJJ's hotly-hyped 2016 summer anthem just a lil. Chi house meets soca in this carnivalesque new classic, which hits the perfect spot between sweetness and dirt.Yn Y Ty is fast, jerky funk and almost a new genre in itself. Both melancholy and pumping, think DJ Rush meets the Tetris theme in an oddball, groovy-as-hell work of genius.The cut-up, loopy loops and tough, tribal beats on Apilli are deranged in a good way and - as with the rest of the EP - demonstrate a quirkiness and subtle humour akin to Basement Jaxx's early golden period.A big sample drives the jacking, sweaty, glitz of Upsqwar's warped take on handbag, which channels the spirit of Modjo and features a ponderous, almost chiptune melody drifting subtly over the top.The EP closes with the Greek flavoured stomper Glas, which wouldn't sound out of place on Richie Hawtin's 1999 mix album Decks, EFX & 909. This new EP is first release since jus a lil for Crazylegs, which gained high praise from NPR, Resident Advisor, Indie Shuffle, Mixmag, Dummy, Hyponik and FACT - who commissioned a video and coined the tongue-in-cheek genre name 'outsider Ibiza'. Comparisons have been made to Thomas Bangalter, Alan Braxe, Todd Edwards and David Morales - albeit a skewed reinterpretation. Like the punks' assimilation of rock and roll, DJJ's fresh and irreverent take on highlights from dance music history make for some of the most exciting sounds since Daft Punk's first forays.Although distorted and with lowered bit-rates, to call theses tracks 'low fi' is to do them a disservice, as DJJ's manipulation of frequencies, distortion and samples is deceptively simple yet not easily matched. There's a mastery of sonics and leftfield sensibility at play, akin to fellow EQ tweakers Heiroglyphic Being, Aphex Twin and Adrian Sherwood.DJJ is a member of the Bristol-based label/collective Crazylegs, alongside artists including Gage, Sudanim, Finn (all of whom remixed just a lil). He's also one half of ISLAND, whose grime-flavoured Nokia EP was release in 2015 - also on Crazylegs.

* The music is written by Stian Gjevik , which is better known as EOD whose carrer made a steep curve upwards after this release. This was the first vinyl record which was ever released for EOD and can be regarded as a true classic. While the original black white label record was delivered with paintings ( on every record chip tronic made an individual labelling and painted some characters resembling the ACME characters in his favourite c64 game creatures 2 ) the repress comes as noble red vinyl with a white label and the stonedwave logo stamped on it. Returning to Kompakt after his quirky label debut "Mission To Bars" (Kompakt 347), transcendental house music producer CLARIAN resumes his search for mesmerizing soundscapes with a surreal hue on the ANKH EP. Three new tracks continue the spaceman chronicles, with the last EP's protagonist embarking on a grander adventure than ever before - our unfortunate hero, who initially got stuck in a bar on a strange planet, now intends to travel to the outer rim of the known cosmos in a desperate bid to stop the ancient evil army of the space zombie lizard kings.
At least that's what he's trying to do - unprecedented turmoil brought him to a moon rave in the Hipston Galaxy, "the dopest galaxy with the freshest Eco-galactic-friendly products and politically correct views on Space Blobs". And it's here that the spaceman spends the next three years in an awesome blur of party photons and anti-gravitational break beats... until that fateful moment during an after party in an illegal crater with Ricardo Villaroboto, when he's doing bumps of Kryptonite with a Zorgonian in a bathroom stall and hears about the space zombie lizard kings for the first time. Their formidable stupidity and greed for brains has the potential to destroy the very fabric of space and time, a very troubling thing for people who care about existence and stuff.
Only one mysterious object is powerful enough to take down the zombie lizard empire and restore balance to the universe: it's called ANKH and emits its dreamy harmonics, glistening synth motives and gentle beat throbs from deep within a crystallized pyramid. Just as the spaceman is about to respond - probably with a heroic vow to the good cause -, the 17-tentacled DJ drops the slightly nostalgic OLD MIAMI, a groovy, hypnotic late-night jam for the raving fla^neur (also a reference to a dive bar in Detroit where CLARIAN played one of his first shows) and our hero euphorically sneezes so hard that he accidentally sprays the Kryptonite all over the floor - while smacking his space helmet against the wall behind him.
Several million moon cycles later, he wakes up with a pounding headache, freely floating in space. Completely alone and with out a single glass of whiskey to take the edge off, he starts feebly humming to himself - a song called ALIENATED that perfectly showcases CLARIAN's well-documented knack for catchy weirdness, letting its main motive glitch in all the right places. Following releases on imprints such as Multi Culti, Soft Touch, Rumors or Turbo, plus a stint as mixer, arranger and audio engineer on Tiga's last album "No Fantasy Required", this latest offering reveals an artist that has built himself a strong pedigree with fans of immersive, melodic dance music - but still manages to surprise with ambidextrous sound design and that refreshing tang of absurdity that seems to be his specialty. After releasing his debut album "Paradise" earlier this year to much critical acclaim, B. Bravo has swung back around for yet another trip to this island of cosmic delights, tapping into some of our favorite producers & extended fam for a special 12" to accompany the digital of "Paradise Remixed". The A-Side kicks off with Fool's Gold producer Sammy Bananas turning the squelchy funk of "Freak It" into a filtered French & Italo inspired funky house monster, perfect for peak time on the dancefloor, while Los Angeles' XL Middleton deliver's a low slung G-Funk & boogie inspired take on the album single "I'm For Real". On the flip, UK producer SMBD (better known as Simbad) turns "Lay It On The Line" a classic 80s synth beast that's been tried & tested around European festivals all summer, while Grandfeather (aka Anton Borin) comes through with a spacey & deep downtempo funk reversioning of "Can't Keep My Hands Off You". Los Angeles-based Adam Mori aka B. Bravo adds a touch of love to every soulful groove he gets his hands on. His signature sound, connecting outer space g-funk, r&b, and dance music has made him a name in the electronic music scene as well a key player in the worldwide modern funk movement, being hailed by the likes of XLR8R, FACT Magazine, Gilles Peterson and many more.

Celebrating our 20th release, Glasgow's Dave Clark returns to Optimo Trax as Sparky. He was responsible for the third release on the label as LUMA which featured the club smash "John Broadwood" and recently had another big club hit with "Signals" on Numbers. We are delighted to welcome him back in what is a contunuation of a relationship that stretches back further than we care to remember.

All four tracks here are certified dancefloor winners; from the reach for the lasers, kickless "Things Fall Apart" through the synth rhapsodies of "Black Swan" and "My Prophet", climaxing in the jacking "Seven Daggers". All killer, no filler is often a trite cliche in these blurbs but is entirely true in the case of this EP.

Ransom Note Records continue their search for the finest dance music from Planet Earth with a carnival-ready curveball of a new release, the sleazy, playful Ghanaian Afro-Ghetto-Techno-Pop that is Bryte's word-of-mouth classic I Like Your Girlfriend. Originally surfacing on a couple of YouTube dance videos, the shitty quality video rip of Bryte's bizarro lyrics leaping over Gafacci's impeccable grime-meets-afrohouse beat has been a much-loved secret weapon in the sets of DJs that know for a minute now - Bok Bok, Mixpak and Gang Fatale have all supported heavily. Coming from Accra's booming Azonto dance scene, where tracks are knocked out in makeshift home-built studios then swapped through social media apps on smartphones, a proper release of I Like Your Girlfriend has long remained a holy grail. Now, after months of searching, several Western Union transfers, hundreds of WhatsApp messages and no lack of determination, Ransom Note have finally managed to legitimately sign the track, and are all set to give a modern classic the 12' release it deserves - making history with what is quite possibly the first Azonto track to be released on vinyl. Alongside Bryte's crazy vocal version, the release features the original beat from producer Gafacci - its bouncing techy minimalism carving a unique path between techno, house and UK funky that defies genre with glee. Vinyl buyers get a special bonus, Bryte's acapella, coming in at 128 bpm, is the perfect mixing tool.

Project STS-31-Spiralgalaxie (Hubble Telescope Series Vol.3) A clash of the Titans! Celebrating Solar One Music's 40th release and 10th anniverary, this split LP sees two stars under various disguises, Heinrich Mueller (aka Der Zyklus and various other projects) and German producer Robert Witschakowski aka The Exaltics, back to back in a no return odyssey through the depths of the Galaxy. Expect nothing but contemplative and cosmic electro beats using original outer-space sounds from the Universe. Closing the Hubble telescope trilogy which brought to you Luxus Varta and more recently E.R.P. (respectively with the "Everything Is Nothing" and "Ancient Light" EP's), trippy "Spiralgalaxie" will mark a new step in SOM's History. As usual, the final chapter of the series dedicated solely to Hubble and all the great scientists and engineers at the NASA and ESA, comes with a beautiful cover print picture taken by the Space Telescope.

The Lewisham born singer/producer continues to innovate, utilizing the latest technologly (he made these two tracks on an ipad) to push his unique London style from his new home in Sydney NSW. 'If U Wan 2 Find Me' is a celestial slice of vocal footwork/soul, with Spacek offering his own zero gravity take on the chicago sound. Bside 'Time Is Running Out' completely switches up the tempo, this stripped back techno bubbler feels like the soundtrack to a late night cruise around the red planet. Signature Spacek swing and acid bounce througout. Steve Spacek remains one of the most unique and versatile artists from the UK, born out of Londons soundsystem culture his fearless and forwarding thinking approach to music and technology has made him impossible to pigeon hole.
