Newly Signed to Pressed Records, Deep & Tribal Dubstep duo 'Congi' are set to release their debut 12inch Single on 'Pressed Records' entitled 'Paragon' featuring 'Quantum Soul.'

The talented Producer/DJ duo display their ability to seamlessly cross boundaries between Deep Dubstep, Tribal and Jazz influence based sound-structures.

Rapidly becoming established as one of the leading names on the Dubstep circuit, their sophisticated approach to music production has earned them releases on a wide variety of venerated labels such as: Innamind Recordings, Deep Heads and more recently Chord Marauders with their critically acclaimed debut album 'Tidal Fragments' in February 2014.

With their production gaining full support by the likes of Vivek (Rinse Fm/ System Music), Gantz (Innamind Recordings, Deep Medi), Joe Nice (Gourmet Beats), Phaeleh, Bun Zero, Geode, Syte and many more, Congi maintain and represent an inspiring approach to Dubstep within a new wave of deep electronic music.

Congi's repertoire continues to expand with radio play being featured and broadcasted on BBC Radio6, Rinse, Fokus and Rood Fm radio shows.

At some point in 2012, Paul Lynch tweeted 'your scene's boring, so we're starting a new one.' It may have been an off-the-cuff remark, but it's proven remarkably prophetic.



In 2014, Lynch stands as the gatekeeper for a wave of grime producers breathing life into a genre that, for too long, only had a handful of labels dedicated to its forward motion. After time spent running the pirate radio archive Grimetapes, he released his first single through Numbers in 2010, an EP of rough 4x4 influenced by grime and UK Funky titled Theme.



The next two years saw Lynch become increasingly disillusioned by the dominance of house in UK clubs, and he reacted with 'Polar Bear', a single for Unknown to the Unknown that drew from Wiley's classic sub-zero sound palette. On 2012's Raw Missions EP, he expanded his sound into one that pays tribute to classic grime (Raw Missions was named after a South London pirate radio station) without simply repeating it, and on 2013's Minor Triads and Failed Gods EPs, he developed this into a unique sound of his own.



Crucially, in 2013 Lynch also co-founded Boxed, a club night that has become an incubation centre for new grime producers. In less than a year, Boxed had run rooms at Plastic People, Fabric, Birthdays and the Troxy, and has become a crucial hub for some of the UK's key artists - amongst them Murlo, JT the Goon, Dark0 and Mumdance, and resident DJs Logos, Mr. Mitch and Oil Gang. Lynch's monthly mixes in 2013 were some of the first to showcase artists like Bloom, Inkke, Strict Face, DJ Milktray, Mike Midnight, Finn and Shriekin, and he was rewarded with radio slots on NTS and Rinse FM.



Palm Tree Fire, Lynch's debut album, showcases grime's flexibility away from the club, using a (mostly) 140bpm tempo as a starting point for atmospheric, imaginative music as inspired by Eastern mood pieces as the UK pirate radio culture that was his starting point as Slackk.

The six man collective that is D-Operation Drop return for a second outing on Lion Charge, this time expanding the sound palette for a more ecstatic techno dub approach.

The A side 'Body Rock' is a rolling barrage of intricate drum work, swollen electro riffage recoiled around a four-on-the-floor bass charge and of course pulsating dub shots for good measure.

The 4x4 electro dub arrangements now synonymous with Lion Charge are in full effect on the flip. The B side 'Sufferah' is a steppers' workout fusing dreaded bass movement with a swirl of digi-dub aesthetics, rhapsodic textures and invigorating snare patterns.

The long-expected vinyl release of the Ukrainian producer Nikolay Shvets, also known for his releases on Blu Mar Ten and Sync:Safir. Fascinating and sincere music filled with natural beauty. Both tracks will once again make a listener wonder about the versatility of the autonomic 170 bmp subgenre.

"Away" reflects the sensuality of human emotions and produces a good response after the first seconds. "Atmos" is filled with eternity and leisure time streaming, expertly contained in a rhythm foundation. The track fully exposes itself after a few playbacks and stays in your mind with the roar of the ocean waves, the moan of the wind and the shining of stars.

Alphabets Heaven delivers his fourth release Everything Stays The Same, following last year's critically acclaimed EP Siamese Burn. This is his first vinyl pressing on Black Market Records (celebrating 30 years) and King Deluxe and he's gone big. The music continues a refinement of his sound... which is in large part formula-less although there is something rich, spacious and minimal to it that ties his work together... his North American tour though last summer has seemingly made Jonny a bit bolder, a bit more extroverted with his compositions. Possibly because of the endless praise he receives after observers of his drum machine mastery pick their jaws up off the floor. Joining him on ''Pride and Joy'' is fellow British genius Deft and Angelika Arendt for Artwork.

seen many fine acts during the last few years. But it's their music that will guarantee international recognition in the coming months.

Ikonika is in straight up banger mode on this EP, possibly her finest release to date. Confident, energetic and tough, these tracks are made from solid tour experience and made for big room dancing. The EP is made with an almost 3D sense of contrast, and a brilliant ability to balance dusty old school sounds and shinier new ones and reshape them into something that sounds really fresh.
'Position' kicks things off with rough kicks and snares that sound like they've been created in a foundry, mixed into rolling kicks lifted from a crumbling drum machine and vocals sliced and diced into sharp hallucinatory rhythms. 'Praxis' sounds like a track that could have come from her groundbreaking 'Contact, Want, Love, Have' debut album, except the straightforward melodies with droning synths and steamy drums over growling bass give the track a confident upgrade. 'Strawberry Underlay' builds melody lines over a single basic, repeating riff in quick succession while a series of interchangeable, tight old school drum patterns stop and start underneath in quick succession. It's a brilliant exercise in dynamics and tension. 'Wakeup Sequence' sounds like freestyle pop driven into strange Atari game shapes, bubbling arpeggios, rough, funky melodies, ancient drum machines, and distorted guitar synth and weird squeaks.

One sweaty hot week in July 2013, Untold ripped into creating his new album, Black Light Spiral, having discovered a land so full of jolts and thrills that the beats wrote themselves and the sounds just kept on coming.

The final 40 minute, 8 track album, is as true to the furious and fiery journey Untold (aka Jack Dunning) personally went on as you could hope for. It's unhindered, spontaneous and completely raw. As perfectly imperfect as a trip like this should be.

"Uprise's latest release sees collective member Asylum return to the fold, with his first solo release since the anthemic Blindfold and the murderous Salvage dropped on 2012'sUA002. UA006 is another stellar release from the LA/ London-based producer; featuring two very different productions that together form another powerful message of intent from both Asylum and Uprise.
"The A side, Always Love, may remind the listener of Blindfold - it packs a similar weight and will surely demand a reload in the dance. Always Love features the three key ingredients any dubstep production worth its weight needs; beats, bass and space. A hypnotising vocal sashays over sparse percussive hits, a reverd'd snare and a thumping kick, while Asylum's notorious sub skills once again play their part in putting any decent system to the test.

Grand Ancestor's debut white label release featuring heavy sound system reggae from Cuttle and Alpha Steppa.

The SGN:LTD story continues to gather at a pace with the debut contribution from Austria's finest 4-man production team, Fourward.

Known for their fearsome tirades of bone shaking bass, their SGN excursion is no different with two tracks of tech-infused future thinking drum & bass.
*'With this release we wanted to continue where we stopped with our last few releases without repeating ourselves too much. As this is our first single for SGN:LTD we wanted to make it as "Fourward" sounding as possible. * We were also looking to make a single that has two different faces to it. While 'Black Tooth Grin is a straight up dance floor orientated tune, we tried to make the flipside 'Guilty Pleasures a bit more twisted, a bit weirder. The production process of these 2 tunes couldn't have been more different as well, while 'Black Tooth Grin' took about 3-4 months to finish, 'Guilty Pleasures' was done in 3-4 sessions.
*We are already looking forward to do the next one for SGN!'

Man Make Music's second release is a collaboration between two talented Londoners, Jack Dixon and Rick Grant. Having already made waves with individual releases on labels such as Brownswood, Hypercolour and TAKE, these two good friends now offer up a pair of brilliantly off-kilter house tracks. 'Running Man' is a heady mix of skipping percussion and caressing Juno synth-lines, whilst, on the flip, 'Muted' takes a more understated, melancholic turn, counterbalancing the ecstatic nature of the A-side. Jack and Rick's contributions are also offset by Kevin McPhee's weird and wonderful slow-mo interpretation of 'Running Man'. The remix blends vocals drenched in reverb with creeping piano riffs and shows yet another musical side of a man garnering plaudits from all corners for his unique style.

* LSN are a group consisting of 6 musicians/producers including a lead female vocalist.
They entered the bass music scene earlier this year with their debut track Diyumi which was featured on the smash hit LP Live From The Future Extended Edition. They are now set to release their first solo release on Uprise Audio in form of their Apollo EP, a 5 track multi tempo/genre release on both vinyl and digital formats. LSN are ones to watch right now and for the future.
Renegade
* Renegade begins with deep cinematic impact, sounding of a division bell and haunting vocal pads which filter in and out of rainy atmospherics. Ancestral style vocals and melodies then create the scene for a militant beat structure with tribalistic percussion which reinforce the song structure and sets direction. Renegade builds slowly, but intensely, captivating the attention of the listener and maintaining their focus. Every element in this tracks adds to its vast sonic soundscape and contributes to the tension which evolves within it. Full consistent support from Youngsta, J:Kenzo, Seven, Rinse FM.
Speak To Me
The team switch things up with this one, adopting the 170 bpm tempo and showing their versatility. Like Renegade the intro takes a cinematic approach as kick drums begin to set the pace and groove structure. Simetra's vocal ad-libs enhance the slowly building atmosphere for the rolling drop of stepped out intelligent beats accompanied by a subtle airy twisted bass line. Simetra's vocal hook picks up the energy to a higher level as the track takes new form with intricate percussion edits and clever arrangement features. Full vocal structure and a solid vibe throughout make this track a winner in every respect. A solid performance.
Technology Mountain
With the added emotion in Atomic Planet there was always a question asked about as to where the EP could and would go next. Technology Mountain answers that question with sublime authority. Everything about this track is divine. So soft and powerful at the same time, a total contradiction in reality but come together in unison all throughout this piece. This track shows not just only how diverse LSN's creative pallet can be, but how strong their overall sound really is. Expressing themselves on many levels at all different tempos. This 136 bpm effort is the perfect outro to a stunning EP.

We kick off 2011 with the latest collaborative plate of Bristol-based Build badness - label boss Baobinga cooking up two 'what-do-you-call-it' tracks with one of 2010s breakthrough producers, the man they call Hyetal. Starting 2010 with a huge Punch Drunk release alongside Shortstuff, Hyetal further refined his sound through collaborations with Peverelist, and the massive Prince-tastic anthem 'Phoenix' on Orca - which can be found sitting proudly at number 36 in FACT Magazine's 'Tracks Of The Year' run-down. With some big releases due in 2011, and more Velour beats (with Julio Bashmore) on the way, we're very excited to have him involved in a Build release.The A side here, 'Anything For Now', is a perfect example of when collaborations work perfectly - and finished every set of Ginz's recent US tour to rapturous response. Through the course of an ever-evolving arrangement, tough dancefloor drums drive epic synth lines and melodies forward to a point of ecstatic release, all tied together with powerful sub-bass and a staggering level of detail.Meanwhile, the AA, 'Trouble', could almost be dancehall from alpha-centuri, as again, a cornucopia of glistening chords, synthetic steel drums and swaggering, swinging drums proper the dancefloor through spiky, bruising bass-weight punches. As a staple of both producers' sets, 'Trouble' has been shown to do the business without ever resorting to cliche.

Since contributing 'Hoodrat' to Coyote Kings, Chemist's momentum within instrumental grime circles has built at a fierce pace. He has put together a blistering mix for The Astral Plane, received significant radio support from key artists on Rinse FM, BBC 1Xtra and NTS, as well as an inclusion in Boxed's Volume 2 compilation. The influential Boxed crew have backed Chemist's talents further still, with an invitation to play at their peerless club night in July. Most excitingly, also in July, Coyote Records are proud to present Chemist's debut full release; two of his deadliest dubs with accompanying remixes from certified heavyweights Last Japan and Rabit. The record is Coyote's eighth; a continuation in a series of essential releases from grime's most arresting new producers. Words can't even come close to adequately illustrating the sheer frostiness of Chemist's 'Defiance' and 'Blocks', as he marries classic grime and eski motifs with sparse arrangements, brutally precise execution and contemporary influence. 'Defiance' impacts with awesome force; stark dynamic contrasts, diamond-edged percussive accents and a powerful bassline that lurks menacingly in the low-end spectrum. Rabit - a master of deconstruction - reduces the track down to its core elements and reconfigures them to deliver his own, eminently unique version. 'Blocks' is high-drama, moody instrumental grime at its best, with a climactic melody line that shimmers with an icy glare amidst barrages of speaker-punching handclaps and sunken bass hits - a proper, emotive dance-wrecking weapon. 'Blocks' is remixed by the diversely talented Last Japan, who develops the harmonies further with haunting choral synths and reworks the percussion; creating a neck-breaking swing and roll over another absolutely massive bassline. We welcome Flowdan back to Hyperdub. It was he, alongside Killa P, who vocaled one of Hyperdub's early hits, the now classic 'Skeng' by the Bug, As a founding member of Roll Deep, Flowdan's guttural yardstyle delivery and booming flow became instantly identifiable amongst the static and anarchy of grime's early-2000s pirate radio presence. Surprisingly, this is his first EP as a solo artist and it's appropriately named 'Serious Business'. There are four equally serious producers working on beats here. 'Ambush' is produced by Newham Generals' Footsie and sets the tone with hip hop beats and a dusky feel with a tale explaining that if he was to be ambushed he'd stand up for himself on his own, his vocals flipping between an angry bark to a stentorian chant. 'People Power' is about stinging chants of insurrectionary rage over a classic, muscular, lurching Bug riddim. 'F About' is produced by Coki from Digital Mystikz - one of his first beats for a grime MC, and it's a good one. Uncompromising lyrics over deadly, rolling snares, and a panic inducing mix of piano, synth horns and off key bleeps.'No Gyal Tune' is a killer battle track, produced by Masro with crisp rolling snares, weaponized bass drums, with lyrics promising a bloody end to all tin pan soundboys. Don't test.

'Decadubs 3' is a vinyl-only companion-piece to Hyperdub's next birthday collection CD, 'Hyperdub 10.2' After '10.1', our first compilation of 10th anniversary dancefloor heaters, '10.2' features some of the label's best songs of the last five years, and this EP pulls tighter focus on six of that set's more body-moving moments. Hyperdub is often associated with dark and brooding instrumental music; however, this mid-summer collection sheds sunlight over that dread filled reputation, showcasing an underrated cast of talented songwriters, vocalists and producers. Laced with new cuts from Kode9, Cooly G, Morgan Zarate feauring. Eska and Ghostface Killah, Dean Blunt & Inga Copeland, DVA featuring Zaki Ibrahim, and a reversioned & revoiced contribution by Ikonika with Dam Funk, 'Decadubs 3' highlights a sometimes-overlooked aspect of Hyperdub's personality with a range of cerebral R&B, garage, funk, and icy pop. Opening Side 1, DVA is joined again by South African singer Zaki Ibrahim with their brand new summery mutant garage track 'Solid', followed by the lo-fi, bashy mutation of Kode9 & copeland's 'Lies Lies', then Dean Blunt & Inga Copeland's grime lullaby 'Signal 2012', one of their final joint works. On Side 2, Morgan Zarate's 'Sticks & Stones' is a swinging lost dub featuring the soulful Eska and Wu Tang Clan's Ghostface Killah. Dam Funk jumps on Ikonika's funk bomb 'Mr. Cake', adding a fun, party vocal for its new incarnation as 'I Know (That You Are The 1)', and finally the EP sways into the digi dub meets R & B slow jam of South Londoner Cooly G's 'Obsessed'.

* From his first full solo vinyl release in 2010 on the freshly minted Box Clever label, Dutchman Tomas Roels has progressed from relative newcomer to mainstay of the scene. Alongside other Box Clever discoveries LAS and Gantz, TMSV is one of a number of young artists who are pushing dubstep forward in a direction which reflects its roots whilst experimenting with new ideas.
* With four 10' releases for Box Clever under his belt, as well as a blistering Mavado refix, and the latest instalment on J:Kenzo's essential Artikal imprint, TMSV is now ready to deliver a more substantial record in the shape of his new 6-track EP (4-track vinyl), which is the perfect showcase for the different aspects of his sound.
* Throughout the whole EP, common sonic threads run which are the characteristics of TMSV's music - mystikal vibes, ethnic flavours from Afro and Asian palettes, and deep dub foundations - from the doom-laden opener 'Crashing' featuring lyrical input from Rinse resident MC Beezy, to the tough swung dancefloor leanings of 'Too Much' and 'Explain', via the spacious melodies of Widowmaker collab 'Persei'. The a side Speak The Truth by the Austrian duo RoyGreen & Protone taking on all of their dub influences, laying things down very slow and low, with a bassline which is set to shake up your world. An absolutely huge ode to the power of the bass, this one begins the latest single with power, force, and speaker-busting vibrations.
The ravishing aa side of Belgian trio Bredren is one of the biggest and best you've heard all year, with MC Swift's verses resounding around the storming accompaniment, with every flavour hitting exactly when it should, from running mini-breaks to the main correspondence of harsh drums and booming low end. Bredren continue to take drum & bass to the next level, as only they know how.

A new spot on the neighbourhood's map: After the subtle as well as intimidating sounds of Steven Porter's "LR EP", Anthone brings back the broken beats to the Weevil Neighbourhood. The "Aloof EP", codenamed and catalogue numbered "GRIDS", comes as yet another three tracker of mid tempo excursions into low end territory. Stumbling drumwork, razorsharp percussion and uncanny dronesounds meet what's left of Dub.

The first release in 2013 comes from Kyoto based artist Katsunori Sawa. Sawa is one half of japanese duo Steven Porter (the other half being Yuji Kondo), who made an appearance on the label in late 2011 with the "LR EP".
"The Two Legs EP" continues pretty much where the duo's earlier outing left us sound wise. Sawa's very own take on the mid tempo spectrum results in four tracks that, regardless of their obvious focus on rhythmic repetition, appear either internally unstable and arduosly brought under control or both brutal and fragile at the same time.
It is that tension between aggression and timidity, control and unrest that Sawa seems to contribute to the joint venture with Yuji Kondo and we're very happy to present the musical outcome of this solo project on "The Two Legs EP".

Since contributing to Big Dada's Grime 2.0 compilation, Inkke has been championed by key DJs and tastemakers from Scotland (Eclair Fifi, Jackmaster, S-Type) and further afield (Mumdance, Slackk, Plastician, Cashmere Cat, Ryan Hemsworth). He also contributed to LuckyMe's 2014 advent calendar, and released an acclaimed cassette EP, Faded With Da Kittens, on the Astral Black label.

Do your thing, just make sure you're ahead of the game", warns 'Game', the opening salvo of Release, Pangaea's new double EP for Hessle Audio. It's a statement of intent for the entire record, reflecting the increasingly idiosyncratic nature of his music. Release's eight tracks are entities unto themselves, each a natural evolutionary continuation of the rough and rolling pirate radio techno he began to culture on last year's Hex and Inna Daze 12"s. Since his early releases, Pangaea's music has expanded to reflect the growing diversity of dancefloors, reaching outward to integrate jungle, hardcore, techno and house into its rhythmic axis.The result is an incendiary hybrid form rooted in UK
hardcore traditions, where ruffneck MC chatter,static-addled voices and sinewy melodies slip in and
out of earshot like ghosts channelled from raves past.These base materials are put to a variety of different uses across Release's length. Foremost among
them is a swung and sub-heavy vision of UK
techno, informed by a love of pirate radio and
soundsystem music. So instead of remaining locked
to a four-to-the-floor pulse, rhythms are splayed
outwards....

*Since his debut release in 2008, Phaeleh aka Matt Preston has developed an inimitable style of cinematic electronic music, which floats between the shifting tempos and timbres of dubstep, garage, electronica and house music.
*Phaeleh's last two long play releases on Afterglo records - 'Fallen Light' and 'The Cold In You' - have cemented his position as one of the most exciting new producers to emerge from his current hometown, Bristol. Phaeleh's downbeat and heartfelt sound honours the tradition of Bristolian forefathers Massive Attack, Smith & Mighty and Portishead, with a fresh outlook and penchant for sub sonics.
*This time, he's skirted round the easy option and stepped away from any formulas that seemed too comfortable. 'I was very aware of certain tracks which did very well in the past, and was keen to avoid just painting by numbers and taking the obvious route', says Phaeleh, 'I wanted to make an album where I didn't feel influenced by the need to keep DJs happy with structure or style'.
*'Tides' is very much an album that Phaeleh wanted to listen to, rather than one that he thought people wanted to hear. Aiming to achieve a more cinematic, musical experience but whilst still retaining the same emotional content of the early releases, he's filtered in influences ranging from Philip Glass to Massive Attack and Boards of Canada but maintaining a sound that is distinctively Phaeleh.
*His back catalogue has already seen him establish a strong fanbase. 'Fallen Light' and 'The Cold In You' have sold over 200k downloads and contributing to a staggering tally of more than 2 million monthly views on YouTube. This is supplemented by 65k+ Facebook fans and a Soundcloud following that turns over 75k plays per month, while he has also been readily embraced on the airwaves as well, picking up support across Radio 1, 6 Music, 1Xtra, Kiss and Rinse
FM. He's also risen to prominence as an in-demand remixer, reworking artists as diverse as chart-topping dance outfit Rudimental to classical composer Ludovico Einaudi, via much-hyped pop acts such as Charli XCX and Niki & The Dove.
*His second album proper, 'Tides', is an evolutionary step with taut songcraft and melancholic tones. It features vocals by Jess Mills, Soundmouse (who collaborated on his most popular songs), and Augustus Ghost (one half of Snow Ghosts with Throwing Snow), who will also be performing alongside Phaeleh on his forthcoming live dates in the US.

Jimmy Pé is, with no doubt, one of the most gifted contemporary producers around. The constant presence of a melancholic and euphoric mood swings in his music became his signature.

The debut album, a genre-edgy variety of electronic music, is no different. Even jumping through styles Insomnia is nothing else but a colourful palette of tunes with distinct identity.

The album features a guest appearance vocalists Conor Nutt and talented newcomer Tante Elze as well as a collaboration with Irish producer Sina., Slovak one man band Fallgrapp and project Biotrick.
