Up until now, this dubplate has only been heard in session, a heavy nod to classic Jamaican dub, fused with UK steppers and contemporary bass music. Grand Ancestor is thrilled to offer a limited run 12" to the public, no digital, no repress.

Grand Ancestor's eleventh release in the catalog features the legendary dub controller, Ras Muffet, of Roots Injection fame who's had his tunes played by the likes of Channel One, Aba Shanti, and Jah Shaka. With decades of dub experience, Ras Muffet dug deep into his vaults to produce two eerie dubs focused on the bottom frequencies and the continued evolution of the genre. Steppers enthusiasts worldwide will be delighted to get this weighty 12" onto their turntables before this limited pressing is all gone.

GA008 sees another 7" release from the label, this time, Spain and Norway collide to give you Joy! On vocal duties, Spanish rub-a-dub Queen, Ponchita Peligros delivers a powerful and personal message of triumph as only she can. Norwegian 8-bit aficionados, Helgeland 8-bit Squad provide a melodic steppas riddim featuring a twangy nylong guitar and nuff bass to move tings forward inna proper 80s digikal style.

Heavily grounded in the UK Steppas sound from the late 90's, Adam Prescott has enlisted the help of UK veteran, King General, on his latest single, 'World Gone Crazy'. King General steps up with real conscious lyrics backed by AP's rootical rhythm section, the duo come together to provide a reality check. On the flip, Adam's Dub is a stripped back, raw take on the original, in true dubwise fashion. Expect real heavyweight digital pressure built to test any sound system.

Grand Ancestor meets the Jahtari posse on a crisp biscuit with Germany's top ranking rubadub empress Jane Bee issuing a warning to all careless lovers in the area on a dark, heavily dubbed out riddim by New Zealand producer Naram. Jane's smoky tone of voice and enigmatic lyrics provide a compelling point of difference to your garden variety modern reggae artist - and with a hazy, reverbdrenched version on the flip, Careless Lover is bound to ensure things get well spooky in the dance. Grand Ancestor and The Illuminated join forces again, this time teaming up with Distant Roots and Clinton Sly in order to bring you 'Straight To Mi Brain' the latest 7" record from GA. Clinton's energetic and powerful presence on the A side is further interpreted on the B, with The Illuminated and Distant Roots collaborating on the dubwise version. This is a limited pressing, hand stamped, with no repress or digital offering.

Grand Ancestor announces it's first 7" release, featuring the massive riddim work of Reggae Roast's Adam Prescott and the vocals of the legendary Danman. The A side, Gideon Time, is a full on heavy steppers track that will crank up the energy of any dance. The B, Gideon Dubwise, takes the track in a dark, effects laden direction. This is a 140 gram, vinyl only hand stamped released.
