Version 008 is a futuristic dubwise double-sider from label boss Orson himself. "For The Head" sees him stalking an abandoned Berlin bunker, finding a sparse yet terrifiying bassline, while beating the 808 drum kit in his signature 128 bpm half-step style. On the massive "The Past Is A Dream" Orson takes us a few storeys deeper: the bass is a more subby affair, urgent and captivating, outerworldly flute, spoken word, coming in like ancient memories, earth-shattering 808, echoeing a certain Chicago warehouse located deep in the London jungle. Version 008 is another indispensible piece of past, present and future dub - supported internationally in the rave by respected DJs such as Loefah, Lamont and DJ Hops.

Yet again, LabelOwner Gaze ill joins forces with the Danish Dubstep ambassador RDG, this time for a 4 track collaborative EP. On the Aside the artists' minds melt together in two pieces of Dubstepscience. As the title suggests, RDG and Gaze ill show what Dubstep is made of with 'Keepin' It Real' that's characterized by a pressuring hardness, and uplifting energy. 'The Zone' follows with its progressive universe that evolves in just the right way with perfect timing. The Bside shows off the two artists' individual skills with immense, paranoid vibrations on RDG's 'Shapeshift', and thrillingly deep basslines on Gaze ill's 'Combo'. The EP is a refreshing showcase of the genre's finest offerings original sound with a wellbalanced diversity. RDG and Gaze ill keep it real for this first vinyl release on Cue Line Records.

An integral part of the label from it's early days, Youngsta has been involved in the direction and curation of Tempa's output for many years from its days of signing artists like Skream and Benga to ushering in a new sonic territories from the likes of Hodge, Alex Coulton and Markee Ledge. As he moves more into the world of music production it would be a natural progression for him to release on the label.

Each 12" on Tempa from Youngsta has always explored new and different sound palettes for him and this time is no different. Working with a new partner, Cimm, their unique take on music at 140bpm is the result

The 12" leads off with Split Minds - a combination of distorted 808's and Sub Bass, and nimble percussion work fuels the track's half-time stomp.

On the B-side, the minimal Redshift focuses on atmospherics and trickles and hints of melodies. Building slowly over waves of sub bass, vocal snippets weave in and out of the track creating a sense of space and clarity. Each sound is given ample room to breathe, guaranteeing maximum sound system pressure.

Infernal Sounds are back with their 6th release on the label, this time with the combined minds and talent of Japanese based artists, Karnage and the infamous Rider Shafique on vocals. The A side, 'Realise' providers a weighty influx, featuring the elemental voice of Rider, backed by a rugged roller in the form of 'Bayside Shakedown' on the B side.

Raincloud Records has announced its debut release, a two-track 12' from Mancunian duo Alan Johnson. Lead track, 'Operator', is a punchy, spacious stomper laced with golden-era grime horns and strings. Delayed, disembodied clicks, claps and pulses echo throughout along with a call-to-arms vocal pulled straight from the soundclash. On the flip, 'The Poet' builds an enormous groove out of broken percussion, spoken word and an intermittent woodwind sample in a manner that recalls early DMZ white labels. This will be Alan Johnson's first standalone release since 2013's standout 'Goron Sound' on Blank Mind. The duo channel golden-era UK soundsystem music of the mid-to-late noughties into a tight techno template, blending serious bass pressure with a dynamic rhythmic approach that pulls in influences from across the spectrum. As much touched by the bounce of UK funky as the driving tempo of techno or the abstract synths of instrumental grime, Alan Johnson's music is emblematic of a generation that has lived through one of the most fruitful and creative periods of UK electronic dance music to date. Founded by producer/DJs Caski and Near - who have previously released as individuals on labels including Tectonic, Keysound, Ghost, EMF, Trapped Audio & Pretty Weird - Raincloud Records builds on Bristol's famed heritage as one of the UK's most exciting musical hubs. Sitting somewhere between early Hemlock and Hotflush, and the more industrial leanings of Livity Sound, Swamp 81 and Houndstooth, Raincloud aims to provide a home for artists reveling in a no-boundaries approach to making music for the dancefloor.

To close out the last of The Space Between Remix Series, we turn over four more prime cuts to some of the freshest producers in the scene. First up, we take one of the most memorable jams from the album, dubwise roller Backfoot Dub' featuring long time BoS family member the Emcee Child. We turn remix duties over to one of the masters of jungle riddims ­ the mighty Bladerunner. Wasting no time at all, the tune drops into thick amen beats before introducing the ska-­tinged horns of the original. From there we go straight into a monster Reese bassline that's setting floors alight.Up next, Jaybee & Dave Owen take the delicate Cartier' and turn it into a rugged liquid roller. Soulful vocals play against the cut up guitar hook of the original as it slinks and slides its way over a tech­-fueled bassline.For our third remix track, we go into the moody Don't Hold Back' . For this cut, one of the most promising producers in the North American scene, Flaco takes things deep with a complex blend of pads over crisp claps and rolling beats. One for the sunrise vibes, he keeps the lush vocals of Dylan Germick strong throughout the track.To close out the EP, we turn our heads to Bristol as The Insiders take the tune Control' into darker territory. Crisp hats ride along the intro as the track builds before dropping into an old school rugged bassline stepper reminiscent of the jungle roots of their hometown.

JahYu, the German musician known for his stellar dub music released on the highly respected Steppas and Trigramserie, would like to extend his love for dub and dubstep music through his newly established Tripedal Crow imprint.
This allows the producer to transport the balance of earth-shaking bass, drums and authentic melodies - a Universal Sound that is rootikal, conscious, diverse and specifically made for sound systems.As founder, JahYu aims at exhibiting his interpretation of 'Universal Sound In The Lineage Of The Sun'. The spiritual message that is embedded in each cut of the 'Circumfluent Spirits' EP signifies that music is a way to achieve inner harmony and to feel the balance in all living things.
The Tripedal Crow symbolizes the sun in ancient Korean history and goes peacefully with Roots & Culture. To keep the message in the music and the music in the message, it contains the both Asian and Rastafarian culture rooted idea of unity. Each cut also holds the balance of the soft Yin and the hard Yang: The hard Yang tone takes the spiritual, the soft Yin tone the entertaining and appeasing part.

'Wing Beat' closes down 'TCR001' with truly glorious dub programming, highlighting peace, unity and Korean history together.

Schlachthofbronx conclude their Haul & Pull Up series with another strong statement of an EP. In their
trademark hybrid style, the Munich bass boys showcase their versatility from writing hypnotic and sensual
electronic melodies all the way to the ruffest club weapons. Keeping close to their roots, all of these tunes
have been extensively tested on big soundsystems to make sure they make a lasting impression. The opener Electone is an instrumental excursion into a melodic corner of club music, with lots of intertwined synth layers and a long build up, culminating in a break that will send shivers to ravers and home listeners
alike. This 'club love song with no words' is named after the Yamaha Electone organ it was written on. Following this is Take It Low, another true soundsystem weapon featuring longtime collabo partner Doubla J from Costa Rica. Stripped down to the basics, this bass monster combines both dancehall and booty bass rhythm structures and lets them collide with the well timed vocals while diving in some dubby goodness.
Pump Drop Wine ups the tempo again, coming in at 150 bpm of ultimate rolling bassline heaven. With little
more than the catchy meandering vocal to complement the beat, it is all about this disgustingly good sounding bassline that makes this a club sureshot. 'This is the part where you pump drop wine and repeat.' Always good for a surprising collabo, Bene and Jakob finish this EP off with their quite special version of
Bitch Better Have My Money (you know, the AMG one). With no other than Miamis finest
Otto Von Schirach on vocals, this 1991 cut gets transported to an 2017 club enviroment with ease.

We are extremely happy to welcome yet another talented crew from Italy in the Moonshine family. D-Operation Drop is a project born in 2010 thanks to the encounter of 5 university students wich found themselves sharing the same house and more importantly, love for music (In 2013 Zeemo joins the Crew, modifying the formation from 5 to 6 elements).

After a couple of early collaborations, almost casual, Uniradio Cesena gives to D-Operation Drop the chance to lay the foundations of an underground music program on air twice a week. Thanks to this experience the group officially finds its frame and looks forward to its new goals such as producing, dj'ing and vj'ing. To date D-Operation Drop, after almost seven years of experience, has received support from Artists like J:Kenzo, Distance, N-Type, Icicle, Radikal Guru & many others. Releasing music with notable labels such as Lion Charge, Artikal Music UK, Subaltern and now Moonshine Recordings.

Inyoka (Roland Massey) is from Richmond, Virginia and has been an electronic music producer since 2005 and a DJ since 2009. Roland's earliest musical influences were hard rock and heavy metal, which led Roland to learn and play guitar for the past fifteen years. Roland started making electronic music in 2005 and graduated from the Omega Studios School of Applied Recording Arts and Sciences in Rockville, Maryland. During that time, Roland learned how to record and mix on several consoles and use different software programs and hardware for electronic music production. Roland uses his skills and talents as an audio engineer for post-production, sound design, and creating original productions for large soundsy stems. The word inyoka' translates to snake' in the Nguni/Zulu language. Roland's dubstep productions strike efficiently and precisely, like a snake, with crisp bass and minimal instrumentation. With releases on Silent Motion Records and Sure State, Inyoka is ready to share his signature sound and prodigious talent with the underground bass music community.

Killian's love for distortion and forward thinking wave forms takes the listener into an emotive bass and kick driven frenzy across all his tracks. Cafe Blank in a monster with a driving kick pattern and distorted topline to carry off any rave.Estranged leaves you in a field a bass frequencies hard to match. iaido is seeing alot of support from the likes of GothTrad and recently even the likes of The Bug have found their ears gravitated towards Trisco. Ache is my personal all time favourite Trisco tune that haunting screech and female top line are sure to get you.

The Green King Cuts family are back with the second instalment of the vinyl only record label's catalogue. GKC providing a 4 track EP, deriving from reggae dub influences with newly Dubstep and grime sounds. DE-TU (Chris Iona and Jevon Ives) are a London born and Bristol-based music producing Duo. Chris and Jevon, who attend University in Bristol, share the same love and knowledge for the reggae dub music and sound system culture. Both Chris and Jevon having released music digitally, on different named aliases, in the drum and bass, hip-hop circuit was only going to spur the pair on to experiment in music. DE-TU come to the surface, in 2016 with only the one sound cloud upload. This will be the pair's debut release on any format. Bukkha (Evert) who is a music producer, originating from America but now living in Valladolid Spain, travelling the world, reflects in his sound and he is becoming one of the greats for the future. The space in the mix between the bass and drums keeps the flow and rhythm and supplies the listener a nostalgic feel of deep meditation. The big hall reverbs of the snares and delays on the percussion create a rhythmic stepper pattern. The heavy 808 sub bass melody, is high-spirited and packs a weighty punch. Bukkha's remixes are made for the sound system dances, for people to dance because of the driving kick and baseline, urging the rhythmic pattern to never stop. All four tracks take the listener on a journey through the influences, which has being made in the last 10 years for the dance. DE-TU and Bukkha are pivotal to the scene, driving forward the sound and love for the culture.

Rediscovered from the lost archives of the classic Hotel Lotte-imprint these four super creepy, slow and grinding Dub monsters are featuring dark timestretching, heavy Illbient- / Crooklyn Dub-influences, slo-mo scratching and HipHop-infused sample works whilst transmitting some of the deepest subsonic basslines you've ever heard. Tunes that are truly alternating your perception of space and time - pressed as a limited edition of 500 copies back in 1999. Only very few copies available.

Yasuaki joined Encrypted along with Japanese exports DayZero and London based Samba.
Yasuaki mixes his love of bass with a wide variety of BPM's and this release showcases his versatility. Electronic music producer and DJ Greg Sanders AKA Distance returns with his third long player 'Dynamis', set for release through Tectonic Recordings on 21st October.

* Alongside recording 'Dynamis' over the past four years, Distance has been writing and producing for other artists including Riz MC, Jeb Loy Nichols and Jon More of Coldcut. Working with these artists helped open his mind to other styles of music and led to him veering away from his 140bpm roots. The productions of A$AP Ferg, Drake, Schoolboy Q and earlier Arca and FKA Twigs were a big influence, alongside the soundtracks of Hans Zimmer and Cliff Martinez.

* "I get inspiration from everywhere and deliberately try to ignore what is happening in the scene I'm most involved in. 'Dynamis' is influenced a lot by film scores, I have geeked out massively to create great dynamics in all of the tracks, sounds are heavily automated and processed to really give the music life."

* Even the structure of the tracks ditches the typical DJ friendly layouts and is programmed in an order that best helps to deliver the story. Some of the tracks give a subtle nod to this way of thinking - 'Sink or Swim', 'Paradigm', 'Instruction to Survive'.

* "I wanted to portray my willingness to progress and that I totally embrace the positives and negatives of change. If you stay stationary within any artform you will surely fail. I named a track "Fear Change" because most people would rather do anything other than change."

* As producer, DJ and label owner of Chestplate Records, Distance has been instigating change in music since emerging in 2003. Gathering early support from the legendary John Peel and going on to be part of the utterly seminal Dubstep Warz show on Radio 1 presented by Mary Anne Hobbs, he was a regular at seminal raves FWD, DMZ, Exodus and SUB:DUB and hosted on Rinse FM 2003-2012. With 12" releases on Tectonic and Hotflush; his first two albums 'My Demons' (2007) and 'Repercussions' (2008) were released through the respected label Planet Mu.

* "I feel very privileged to have released two albums on Planet Mu and they are still referenced by many as key albums in dubstep's history. Tectonic has been releasing my music for almost a decade, so it felt right me producing an album for the label. Pinch is a good friend and one of the few people who's opinion I trust."

* 'Dynamis' is the first Distance album to feature vocalists; helping to portray emotions, tell a story and aid the overall narrative of the album.

* "It was great recording them. When recording 'Badman' with Killa P I got him to stand as far away from the mic as possible and shout the lyric across the studio, as though he was shouting at someone across the street. We were cracking up at the time. I then used these recordings to create multiple layers and textures to his vocal, this gave the impression of there being a huge crowd of people chanting the chorus. Beezy was also a great artist to work with. We were done recording in about 20 minutes, he's so professional and knows exactly how to deliver the vocals the way I need them."

* The album's title is an ancient word: the original Greek meaning "heart, drive, power" and in English "the state of that which is not yet fully realized".

* "I always want my music to take you somewhere. Because I am experimenting more in sound design and tempo, I thought 'Dynamis' was perfect. In a sense I was trying to create something new. At the beginning of the process it hadn't yet been realised. Maybe only once it has been released and heard by the public it will be."

It's been four long years since anything has surfaced from Headhunter, the last being 2011's 'Clone' on the Bristol based Black Box imprint. But label-by-way-of-online blog,TRUSIK has secured two sought-after dubs from the man himself. In our first ever vinyl release, TRUSIK has collected 'Parallels' and 'Stand Alone' in a super limited 300 pressing with appropriately techno-infused psychedelic artwork from our long time collaborator Leftanderson.'Parallels' is a building technoid monster that is armed with pistoning sub-bass dives as acidic 909s percolate through the cryo-mist atmospherics of a long derelict space ship that stills sends out a distress beacon. Quicksilver percussion ratchets up the tension asHeadhunter tastefully affixes Tubby-esque fx to the proceedings.
On the flip 'Stand Alone' is a strident roller with VHS-ripped kung-fu samples alaHorsepower Productions and an even more paranoid perc workout that features filtered amen-breaks, meditative conga patters and rapid fire hi-hat gun fire. A TR-909 menaces at the edges, watching for an opportune moment to strike only to be subsumed by the enveloping, spectral aeriforms.
Both are sure-fire floor killers and a magnificent return to form that made Headhunterthe king of dubstep in the first place.

It's about love, loyalty, family and the start and end of relationships, with an overarching theme about becoming a father, all delivered with warmth and emotion. Miles even sings and so does his eldest son Milo on one track. About the theme he says, we all know the stereotype of the black dad with multiple children from multiple partners who is absent from the child's life, we see it consistently in popular culture. I want to champion the alternative, which to me is just normal.' As well as being a producer Miles is the co-founder of the Boxed nights, which have been a tight incubator of a music scene dedicated in the main to re-thinking and expanding what grime means, especially instrumental grime. Mitch has always taken it further than most in a unique direction, defining his music led by his own personality rather than deferring to a scene consensus. An early example was his development of 'peace edits' in response to the aggressive 'war dubs' craze amongst other grime producers, around the time of his first album. Production-wise Mr. Mitch has always been a minimalist at heart, pushing detailed sound and melody around in space, but on Devout everything is more ambitious, emotive and polished, taking his music in an epic and well defined pop direction, albeit from a sideways angle, re-imagining what an album by an underground producer can be. Devout's cast of male and female allies, MC's and singers each deliver songs that cast perspective around the album's theme. Mr. Mitch sets the scene with the graceful honesty of the piano led intro, then P Money drops a heartfelt and emotional lyric about the charge of love and responsibility experienced on becoming a dad. Denai Moore's song 'Fate' is open about being sceptical in allowing yourself to fall for someone at the start of a relationship, while Palmistry's track 'VPN' explores his feelings after separation. The warm centre of 'Devout' is 'My Life's heart-tugging Sakamoto-like melody and bent keys, with Miles gently intoning It's yours' and final song 'Oscar' tells a newborn his brother will be an elder brother. Devout is a beautiful, grown-up pop record with its foundation in grime.

"For this EP, South-African born Jason Beukes aka Escapism Refuge lands on London's Smokin' Sessions for the label's 2nd release of 2017. Continuing the label's legacy of atmospheric electronic beats, Beukes has crafted a set of tracks which take influence from producers such as Synkro, Phaeleh and Burial, but which look to the future of this sound through use of updated production techniques and a more expansive sound palette.Following on from Red Lights EP, this release will feature a selection of tracks - each a different take on the subtle and mesmerizing 140bpm sound Escapism Refuge is becoming known for.Beukes' personal influences - from Radiohead, through Aphex Twin, to De La Soul - are all evident here. On the A1, 'Joker' channels a neo-soul vibe through its use of soft, steelpan-like pads and whirling strings. 'No Signal' on the B1 feels spacey and free, yet with an underlying tension created by the track's constantly changing chord progression. B2 'Red Lights' uses a catchy synth line and powerful drums to create an uplifting finish to the release.Escapism Refuge's previous efforts have gained impressive DJ support from across the scene, from figures such as Gilles Peterson at BBC Radio 6 Music, Lefto, Joe Kay at Soulection and Dom Servini at Wah Wah 45s."

We are extremely happy to welcome Jérôme Meyer aka Von D in the evergrowing Moonshine Recordings family. Von D, is renowned for his ability to fill dance floors, fuse genres and hold his own in collaborations with some of the biggest names in the underground music. With three albums and multiple Eps under his belt for labels such as Black Acre, Boka or Argon, he is also recognized for featuring exclusive and unreleased dub or dubstep tunes, alongside his own music. With regular shows in Europe, Asia, New Zealand, Australia and five tours in the USA, his world fan base is testament to his skill. Von D is on an increasingly prolific trajectory since last year. Recent 12's on Scrub a Dub and Khaliphonic (Zamzam), and forthcoming tunes on Lion Charge and Moonshine have signaled his renewed focus on dubwise productions. The french producer is going back to his musical roots. He continues to evolve his style and sound, touring around and setting clubs on fire night after night.
