MJ Cole is back!! Matt Cole teams up with UK don Wiley to end the summer season in style. While he never lost his touch with underground British club music MJ Cole's releases on his own label, Prolific, including the recent Riddim EP, remixes for Mad Decent, Primary 1, Drop The Lime, etc and his production work with Wiley and Example among others show a man deeply committed to the search for emotive, smart and brave club music. Wiley needs no introduction as one of the major players in the UK hip-hop, grime and UK garage scene. Founding member of the Roll Deep Crew alongside Dizzee Rascal and Tinchy Strider, Wiley was also responsible for the hit record 'Wearing my rolex' in 2008.

Rachet, a new kid on the block, debuts with the banging Hyper Dimention EP for Rwina Records on October 25. Well, Rachet isn't that new on the fold. He's worked with MCs like Devlin, Jammer, Frisco and Beezy, to name a few, back in the day.

With a discography reading like a handbook for the rum and uncanny, electronica mainstay Kelpe is an obvious graduate to the Team Acre associated university of drum wrong and Mutant Fuzz. Here teaming up with multi talented human rhythm machine Chris Walmsley (Voice of The Seven Woods, Broadcast, Psapp etc) Kelpe brings an EP that balances deftly between the sound of yesterday and tomorrow. Margins is a wriggling slice traditional drum funk. The steady gallop is haunted by holy ghost rousing keys, zap anomalies and unearthly guitar work. No Film is a moody and low-slung drum excursion. Intricate rhythms provide the solid foundation for unsettling synth-work and fragmented stabs of citric sound. Toy Castle is pure bounce, the pounding kicks push the soundscape through the dance which the sonic scenery is littered with hidden artifacts. The final excursion here it a trip to the lab with Taps On. Initially the most soothing of the bunch giving nods to Dilla or ATCQ more soulful offerings.
Taps On continues it’s journey through cut n paste territories and rhythmic breakdown. All together a potent brew of electronic voodoo.

Punch Drunk continue to twist, redefine and push forward the template of dubstep with a new 12' combining the talents of rising star Hyetal and Bristol veteran Peverelist. As part of the second wave of Bristol dubstep producers, Hyetal has already made his mark, garnering critical acclaim for his recent 12' 'Phoenix' on Orca and previously releasing 12's on labels such as Reduction and Soul Motive in addition to his collaboration with Shortstuff on Punch Drunk earlier this year. This is Peverelist's second 12' release this year following his 'Better Ways of Living' release for Punch Drunk and his recent mix for Resident Advisor. Both producers bring their trademark ingredients to the table, Hyetal's kaleidoscopic synthesis and Pev's deadly junglistic rhythm section combine to produce two very different tracks. The Hum is immediately grabbing, brimming with propelling energy and uplifting melodics. The cryptically titled 'rrrr' is a much darker disorientating psychedelic affair, slowly luring you into it's groove, providing another typical Punch Drunk curve ball.

'Ginger Pubes' isn't for the faint hearted and shows Cookie Monsta on absolute top form with his trademark relentless bass lines and hefty switch ups. Flip it over and you get 'Blurgh!'. To call this track wonky would be a massive understatement. Cookie Monsta's synthesis on this one is so clean cut, it's as if it's jumping out of the speakers straight into the part of your brain that makes you wanna dance.
